Job Output in email as attachment

hi,
I'm currently using Hyperion 9.3.1 to create a Job Scheduling for a report. The report output should be automatically send an email as schedule with the report result attached to the email.
The report result is not attached to the email. Anyone can advise what might I have miss out when I setup the job?

I have the (smartform) output data in OTF format..and displaying it in PDF form with FM 'HR_EFI_SHOW_PDF_FORM' .

[SOLVED] crontab wont email job output

Hi archers
I have the following in my users crontab
MAILTO=[email protected]
00 20 * * * cd /home/user/Scripts ; ./Fetch-Updates
The job runs everyday at 20:00 and the job completes successfully every time. However, the job output is always mailed to user instead of the user at the external domain. The system is configured with exim as my smtp daemon and will email externally from the command line with mail so I cant see anything wrong with the configuration.
Any ideas?

edit1: not sure what mail system dcron (cron) uses as default (and it may be a config option) but if it's using something designed only for internal system mails then you've got some more work to do. maybe look into fcron, i know you can configure an smtp program (ssmtp or msmtp) and set fcron to use it for mails (you can probably do that for dcron too though), then you'd be good to go.

Email notification for GRID job output

Is it possible to get the job output in the email notification? I can currently get the job status but not the output.

it may be bit tricky to include in your email notifications, but its possible to trace back to GRID JOB output.
1. Get job JOB execution ID
2. Get Latest output_id from job execution ID.
3. You can do a select from
SELECT output FROM MGMT_JOB_OUTPUT WHERE output_id=&OUTPUT_ID

Thanks. I have written Programm, but it does not work as i want it to do. I will send an Email with attached Adobe Interactive Firm to [email protected]. I tried it with "*lo_recipient = cl_sapuser_bcs=>create( sy-uname )" at the marked(bold, fat) position. It worked but the Email was send to my SAP-Account, but i want to send to [email protected], so I tried this (see at code in bold, fat):

SPOOL data gets truncated when bckground job output sent to spool recepient

Hi All,
I am facing a strange problem.
I have a background job scheduled. Have specified a distribution list as the spool recipients.
Background jobs output is sent to the recipients as attachment but data is not complete.
When I check the spool request for that background job it contains 80 pages but the attachment in the recipients inbox contains just 17 pages.
SP01/SP02 will display settings to display the range of pages but the emaill attachment doest show.
Can anyone please help me with this?

Hi,
When the spool content is sent immediately after the background job its size is 14KB.
I tested by sending spool content via mail using transaction SP01. I mean after the jobs is completed, I go to SP01 and send the SPOOL content manually. This time recipients receive the correct content of 80 pages and size of the document this time is 73KB.

XML Bursting ... Getting email but attachment is missing

We have recently applied patch 5968876 which created concurent program for xml bursting.
I have created a control file and uploaded that in the data definitions. Now when I run xml bursting program and pass request id of my report, the program is completing and emailing with expected subject and body. But the problem is that PDF report is not attached with it.

Check under your "Share" menu. It should be there. If it isn't there either, make sure that "Mail" is your default email client and then look under the share menu.

How do I get an email file attachment, any extension, off of my phone?

All I want to do is get an email file attachment off of my phone and on to my computer so I can use it. I don't want to open it on my phone, it could be an AutoCAD file, a programming langauge file, etc. I want the option to save the attachment to local memory on my phone and then transfer it to my PC via USB. This worked all the time with my Blackberry, but it seems impossible or extremely difficult with the Apple IOS. The available phone memory would look like a USB stick drive to my PC. I am at job sites all the time where I do not have internet access from my PC, but I am within the cell network area of coverage so this would be an option.
I spent almost an hour with Apple Tech support today and they must have thought that I was on drugs asking for such a simple thing. Apparently, the available phone memory is protected by the IOS so that the PC can't see it or use it. They said this feature would be all App based. The key then is finding an App that would allow the email client on the phone to give the user the option to open or save the file to a location that my PC can see. Does anyone know of such an App? If I can't find a workable solution I may have to go to an Android device. Thanks.

So I understand where you are coming from. The best way is to use the cloud. What you need to do is download a program like dropbox, box.net or sugar sync; there are tons of these apps but those 3 are the most widely supported. Once you download it on your device you can then download it onto your computer by going to their respective sites. These will automatically sync your documents over the air when both your computer and phone are connected to the internet. But if you have no internet service on your computer here is what you do; go to itunes and plug in your phone> go over to the APPS tab on the top> scroll to the bottom of the page and it will say file transfer. This will allow you to pull files from those cloud apps even without service and voila you have your files on your computer even without Wi-Fi or hotspots. I hope this helps!
EDIT; the best app to use file transfer with is good reader because the cloud apps won't sync directly with iTUnes. You will have to pay for it but it will allow you to connect all your cloud services to it and it can edit and view most files. I use it constantly for my work and I wouldn't be able to live without it even if I wasn't using it for file transfer. Sorry I forgot that in my post, this is an necessity to use the file transfer in iTunes.

How to send a SmartForm output as Email to external id?

I want the Smartform output to email to extrenal email-id.
I don't want the Smartform output as any kind of attachment, but the Smartform output needs to be shown on the main email body. Can anyone pls. help me out?

I haven't found the demo program 'BCS_EXAMPLE_6' in SAP 4.7. But then I got it in SAP 5.0 version. But this program only describes how to send Form output as PDF attachment with email. But this is well-known and I haven't asked for this. I want the Smartform output within the mail-body without attachment.
The weblog at "/people/pavan.bayyapu/blog/2005/08/30/sending-html-email-from-sap-crmerp seems a more logical one, though I have already tried it out. Here the html page creation and graphics load -- everything is going right. But this HTML page is being delivered as an Attachment within the email. The normal HTML Email is not coming. I think this technique wouldn't work with all mailing tools. Here in the weblog, Pavan has shown the example with Microsoft Outlook. But I have tested with Lotus Notes and Yahoo. And In both cases, the mail is coming with attached HTML file (in .mht format), but not as a notmal html mail without attachments.

Transfer Report output to email body

Hi,
I have some problems in transferring my report output into the email body. As i know, there is a function to transfer the report output to the email as attachment. But for my current requirement, i would like to transfer the report output the the email body. My current report output is in table form and as i transfer the report output to the email body, it should be the same format as the report output in the email body. I am using write function to show this report. May i know how should i go about solving this problem?
