Join in Prompt
Hi,
I have a PO_date column in 2 tables. I haven't joined with PO_date in RPD. So i am getting Extra records in the report. Can we put any condition like if both PO_Dates are matches then only i want to display the data in the report. Is this possible in Prompts.
Thanks
Try using SQL at prompt, use your query at Show->SQL Results
Try out using joins as mentioned in this link

If helps pls mark or update

We have 2 3.42 systems - one on Fedora Core 1 and one on RedHat Enterprise
3 and wish to join as an array. However no matter whether use command line
or array manager and primary or secondary(to be), it starts - prompting
for administrator account, and then fails with no very informative message.
I wonder if because no telnet & using ssh with root as adminitrator
account?
Thanks for any help.Peter Polkinghorne wrote:

Peter,
Try using the following command to help you see why the servers are not
attaching. You can post the output. From the primary.
$ tarantella array join primary FQDN secondary FQDN --verbose
Use FQDN and make sure that each can resolve the other.
Other things to look out for.
* You need to have port 5427 open between the servers
* servers need to be able to resolve each other, use DNS
Your problem does not sound like it has anything to do with telnet or
ssh.
>>>
>>>
Regards,Thanks for the suggestions - I have verified that they can resolve
eachother and have used FQDN. I have also checked not firewalled from
eachother.
What happens is that the array join command prompts for secondary admin
username & password, which it accepts and then completes.
Running tarantella status --verbose initially yields:
Health check:
- primary.ksblaw.co.uk: Accepting peer connections.
- secondary.ksblaw.co.uk: Accepting peer connections.
One or more array members reported that they are not in this array.
If an array join has just been performed, the join is complete when the
servers report they are array members.
then after 5 minutes or so yields:
Health check:
- asterix.ksblaw.co.uk: Accepting peer connections.
- All responsive servers report consistent array topology.
Contacting primary.ksblaw.co.uk for status information.
Array members (1):
- primary.ksblaw.co.uk (primary): Accepting standard and secure
connections.
- Webtop sessions (0):
- Emulator sessions (0):
I there any logs I can check for why failed - I did have a scan but could
see nothing obvious.

Do either of these systems have more than one network card ?
Carl
No - they both have single ethernet port & are both on same subnet.
PeterSituation resolved - did not have correct reverse DNS set up - now fine.
Just a pity no very obvious error message to alert to this problem.

I am trying to use the Rebean SDK to set the order of prompts in a XI3.1 SP3 Webi document. This document does contain universe prompts, i.e. a table has a self join with @Prompt(). Looking through the Javadocs, I see a PromptOrder class, but it only seems to be accessible through DataProvider.getPromptOrder(). My goal is to set the prompt order for the document, not the data provider. Is this possible?
If u have prompts at the universe level then u can follow the below prompt declaration .
In the @prompt declaration at the universe level @Prompt('Enter Product Family','A','Product Hierarchy\Product Family',multi,free,Not_Persistent,{'Kiwi','Guava'},User:0). In this prompt declaration i had used an additional parameter at the end named User :0; so this will ensure that this will be coming first. But this will work only if you use that user:1 for the other prompt as well. if u do not use user: definition for all the prompts of that report then it will not work again. -
OpenDocument issue with blank prompt values
We have implemented optional prompts in XI R2 by joining our prompt objects with an 'Empty' object. When we create openDocument hyperlinks to these reports, passing nothing for the prompt objects worked just fine and the target report did not prompt for any values for these prompts, e.g. if there was a prompt on the report called Country and it was joined with an Empty ("") universe object via an AND, setting the Country prompt in the openDocument as lsSCountry= worked just fine.
In XI 3.1, when these hyperlinks are accessed from the master reports via InfoView, the target report is prompting for all prompts that accept empty (blank) inputs. If the resulting hyperlink shortcut is copied and pasted directly in the browser URL, everything works fine, i.e. target report does not prompt for any of the empty values and the report is displayed correctly.
We even tried using the 'no_value' option for these prompts in the openDocument but since these are universe based prompts that can't be defined as optional, no_value is not allowed.
Anybody facing similar behavior?
Thanks. Please re-post if this is still an issue or purchase a case and have a dedicated support engineer work with you directly

Show selected value from multi-selected parameter in crystal report
Dear Experts!
i would like to ask how to catch selected value from multi-selected parameter to show in report header section.
Thanks in advance.Hi Dara,
If this is a string prompt then you could simply create a formula with this code and place it on the report header:
Join({?Prompt name},", ")

Outer join not working when filters are applied from Prompts
Hi,
Without values being selected from the dashboard prompts, my outer join is working fine with all the rows and all the columns showing up( as per requirement). But as soon as I select values in the prompts, only certain rows and columns show up.
BTW, I have 2 prompts Year and Quarter. I put Year is Prompted or is null in the criteria. It works. BUT as soon as I also put in quarter numbers, it does not work.
Is there a workaround for this?
Thanks,
Dan
Edited by: Danny on Apr 26, 2013 12:10 PMI just experimented by adding is null to not only the year and quarter but to the row and column too and it worked!
Thanks,

I had no problem connecting to my network and now all of a sudden I can't connect my iPad. Instead of prompting me for a password it comes back and says unable to join the network ("name") and then the option is Dismiss. Anyone else have that problem? I've gone thru all my settings and can't seem to find a way to log into my network. Don't get the option to put in my password. It just give me the name of my network and option of dismiss instead of password.
1. Turn router off for 30 seconds and on again
2. Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings -

I want to use SCCM 2012 R2 and OSD, to boot a bare metal machine, install and OS, and bind it to Active Directory. The catch is that I want the deployment process in SCCM to prompt for the following pieces of information, and then use that information to
bind the computer to Active Directory (W/O using MDT) instead of supply the data in the task sequence.
Computer Name
Domain
Domain OU
Domain Join Account
I am approaching this in a similar fashion as stated in this blog.
http://osdblog.com/2013/06/26/add-a-prompt-for-a-computer-name-in-your-sccm-deployment/
I have added the following collection variables to the unknown computers collection:
When I launch the task sequence, I am prompted as I would expect. I input the desired information, the deployment competes, but it does not bind to the domain. Here is what my TS looks like. I intentally disabbled the apply Network Settings step
because it forces you to enter specific information if it enabled. I don't want to that, thus why I am trying to use the variables.
My SMSTS log does not have a whole lot of meaningfull data, but I can post it if someone wants to see it. The only possible thing I could think of would be drivers, their are some driver errors in the log. However, if I turn on the Apply Networking setting
process in the task sequence and turn off the variables, the machines bind fine. With that in mind, I would not think my problem would be driver related. Anyone out there have expertise in using a process like this, that could assist?
--TonyAwesome! Thanks. One more thing, how should I supply the OSDJoinPassword variable? Should I just enter %OSDJoinPassword%
for Password and Confirm Password? I can not tell if it will actually read it as a variable or try to use "%OSDJoinPassword%" for
the actual password.

What version of Premiere Elements Mac are you using and what Mac computer operating system is involved?
I believe that I am interpreting your question in a different way than PRE_help who writes.
We are aware of a crash in MAC OSX 10.10.0, 10.10.1 and 10.10.2 where launching the import dialog and going to iTunes library and coming out of it (by clicking on any other folder in the import dialog finder window) results in a crash.
But are you really doing what I have put in bold text? How are you importing the audio into the project? Add Media/ and then what? Are you getting an Import Generic Error message or just the crash with no error message? What is the file extension of the audio that you are trying to import into Premiere Elements
There is a classic issue with Premiere Elements (many versions) and iTunes music. The classic answer is to convert the iTunes music to WAV version in iTunes and then import the WAV version into Premiere Elements with Premiere Elements' Add Media/Files and Folders. If you are not doing that, please try that and then let us know if the works for you to avoid the crashes. The Premiere Elements Supported Import Formats show WAV as Windows only. But one Mac user here insists WAV version is acceptable for import into Premiere Elements on Mac. So, please let us know what you find in that regard.
Supported file formats
I am strictly an Elements Windows user, so looking forward to your clarification for what might be a matter that I am overlooking or unaware of in the Premiere Elements Mac computer environment.
Thank you.

Lync Web App default Prompt Audio Join
Is it Is there a way to force Web App to ask all users how they want to join audio? (Lync, dialin, Call me)
At the moment i'm having to have the user connect then go to settings set prompt me, then disconnect and reconnect seems a bit long winded. This a huge weakness in an otherwise superb product! I have successfully convinced my management that we should cancel WebEx in favor of Lync for all but our Training and Event uses. However, there's no way I can ask even the friendliest of customers
to go through all the steps to enable this
very basic capability:
Log in for the first time
Don't forget to click the "Remember Me" box! (duh)
You will be dumped into the first meeting using your computer's audio.
NOTE: You will be muted, but your whole office will hear the rest of us talking until you complete steps 4 through 7.
Click "Options"
Click "Phones"
Make a selection on what you prefer for the future or prompt each time <--- this should be the default!!!!
Exit meeting
Close browser
Click the join link again
Now you can use your phone
This is utterly unacceptable. I realize Microsoft would like everyone on the planet to own a USB headset but that is simply not the case (yet) and to foist this default behavior on unsuspecting business contacts is just not an option. We will
be sticking with WebEx until this can be addressed.
Very disappointed - and not looking forward to the conversation I'll have with my boss on Monday. -

Hi All,
we are facing a wired issue that if a user tries to share a folder in a PC (already a local admin of the PC or domain admin) prompts for the domain password to search the users from domain.
anybody gone through this?
thanks.Hi,
I would like to confirm what is the current situation? Have you resolved the problem?
If there is anything that we can do for you, please do not hesitate to let us know, and we will be happy to help.

HT5349 After reset I keep getting prompted to create or join Open Directory.
I followed this procedure and after step 5 I get the option to create a new Open Directory domain. I already have a master on this server, but I can't get beyond this dialog box to configure the Profile Manager. If I click through to create a new Open Directory Master the process dies saying a master already exists. Can I get around this via the command line?
I thought I would report back with what I did to get Profile Manager back to a working state for me. Since I couldn’t get past the dialog box that kept asking me to either create an OD master or join an OD I decided to delete OD altogether. I did this twice with differing results in the outcome of the Profile Manger service configuration. The first time I recreated the OD I got Profile Manger to run, but the certificates were buggered and wouldn’t allow me to deliver a trusted profile to my MacBook Pro. So, the second time I deleted OD I took things a step further.
Deleted the replica
Deleted the master
Waited for about 15 minutes for things to “cook”
Rebooted both servers
Opened Keychain Access and deleted the self-signed machine certificates on the replica
Opened Keychain Access and deleted the self-signed machine certificates on the master and deleted the OD certificate as well (when you delete the OD it doesn’t go back and delete everything and you will pick-up configuration settings stashed in files, certificates, etc., when you run the wizard again)
Installed the OD master (see http://krypted.com/iphone/configuring-using-profile-manager-2-in-os-x-mountain-l ion-server/ Apple, please take notes on how document your server products)
Setup Profile Manager and applied the newly generated self-signed Code Signing certificate (this won’t be created correctly unless the OD certificate is generated correctly when you re-install OD. That’s why I deleted the OD certificate in step 6)
Installed my replica
Downloaded a trusted profile on the MacBook Pro
So, to sum things up I follow the procedure http://krypted.com/iphone/configuring-using-profile-manager-2-in-os-x-mountain-l ion-server/ after steps 1 through 6. Your mileage may vary, but this worked for me. I should add that I am connected to a Microsoft AD as well to provide authentication for Mac users. I think the Profile Manager is going to be a good tool for me, but it seems a little fragile and the documentation by Apple is limited (the richest company in the history of the world should be able to document their products better and have them available when the product is released – steps off of soapbox). -
Just trying to access my wifi using my iphone
Usually it's because you are not making internet connection via wifi.
Look at iOS Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1398
iPad: Issues connecting to Wi-Fi networks http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3304
Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Change the channel on your wireless router. Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
