JOptionPane buttons in English and in another language?

How do I change the language of the buttons in JOptionPane.showInputDialog?
When I use the Traditional Chinese Windows, I see Chinese characters in the buttons.
Can I have buttons in English even if I use the Traditional Chinese Windows? How? What web pages should I consult?
Locale locale = Locale.getDefault();
locale = new Locale("en", "US");
Locale.setDefault(locale);does not help me to get the correct human language I prefer, e.g. on the confirm button.

Translation of English content into another language in Life an work events

Gurus,
I am trying to setup life and work events for various countries. We have "before you start" HTML pages for all the different countries we are implementing the life and work events and each country has its own language. Now, my question is to find out if the content should be manually coded in each country's native language or is there any translation mechanism that can be used within the life and work events of the ESS to translate the English content to another language?
I also noticed "Add translated resource" inside the "Create Content Package object". I dont know, if this can serve my purpose. Could anybody please suggest how the translation of content can be achieved?

No you will have to manually create iViews for new countries....
Maria...it works like this..
1.. First to select which country structure suits most your requirement...
2... You reuse that country structure and create services specific for your country...
e.g. You reused structure of US Address Data to create a service for Polland Address Data....
3... Now if required you can create an application specific to your needs in NWDI specific to your service...(If enhancements are required)
4... Create an iview in PCD....for this you can copy the existing iview for the country that you reused in step 1...
i.e. Copy US address data service and paste it with name Poland address data....Update its "application name" property with new web dynpro application name you defined in step 3...
Wotever above is written is not specific to LWE....

Adobe X prints first in English then in another language

Using Windows XP, IE 8, Adobe Reader X and HP Laserjet 4000 printer. Sometimes when I print email PDF attachments from Office Outlook 2003, the attachments start printing in English and then subsequent pages turn into an oriental language (not sure which one). If I view the attachment prior to printing all the pages are clearly in English. Other times if I print the item and it is okay (in English), if I reprint it, it may start in English and then goes to the other language. I have not incurred anything like this in any other printing program that I use such as Word or Excel. I have no idea why this is happenning. Any ideas what causes this and if so how to correct this?

my OS is set to english.
- Is there a reason you chose English - (International) vs English (North America), just seemed odd?
i was trying the "other" english. neither work.
- Is this a home computer or work computer on a network? just want to ensure you are an administrator
home computer.
- Does the language appear to be the same regardless of if you reisntall?
yes unfortuneatley. i un-installed the entire suite and kicked everything off my desk top, then went back through the download process again, downloaded all apps and it still came out foriegn.
now, here's is something -- when i got my first iphone, it thought i was a forienger and i had to go into my phone and set the language there. but when i turned on the iphone for the first time, it was another language.
so that adds a level of wierdness huh? (to fix it, i had to go onoine and look at a series of screenshots so i could tell where i was in the settings screens)
- Which products have you installed already that you are seeing this in?
anyhting CS6 related. illustrator, photoshop and in-design. basically the suite.

Why does registering as "English (British)" give me a mixture of English and some Cyrillic language?

The User Name and Password boxes were in Cyrillic and the "Repeat password" and "Email address" boxes were in English. Subsequent pages are also mixed. It appears that some of the words and sentences have been converted into Klingon, but others (Thank goodness!) haven't yet.
nb. My tech detail responses refer to what follows: I only came here to get rid of, "The update could not be installed (patch apply failed)". The message is about as useful as Micro$oft's "This application failed to install".
I'd just like to know how to prevent the update attempts so I can identify the add-on responsible.

I should have split my response into two entries. It was only registering here that gave me the Cyrillic script. I should have noted the words, as former USSR languages don't even share every Cyrillic character. It could therefore have been Estonian or some other non-Russian language.
It seems to only be a problem with the initial registration. This page is totally English.
You're right about the dragons. Maybe I disabled the reminder in a previous version. May the dragon warning stay forever!
I don't like the "This is embarrassing..." line though. If Mozilla can get permission from Fox Entertainment, it should say something like, "D'OH! Here's Homer's best guess at what pages you had open before."
I have no problem with local UK settings. I suspect it's just an error on the UK registration page that 'cookied' me from then on as being Lithuanian or something.

HT204370 Why should I buy the movie in English and in my language (Slovak) as a separate purchases?

Here is a screen shot from my iPhone. There is finaly a movie Brave available but if I want to have both audio versions I will have to spent twice 16,99 EUR.
I prefer the English but for kids Slovak is essential. Any ideas how should I proceed?

In case you haven't figured it out from everyone else's posts, you don't need to spend $30 per month for the 3G. If you don't need it most of the time, and only really want to use it for trips, then you just sign up for the service for when the trip starts, pay for a single month ($15 or $30 depending on how much you plan on using the 3G service). I don't think you even need to remember to cancel the plan after the road trip ... I think you can have it automatically terminate if that is what you want.
I'm buying a 3G version, and I will either not sign up for any plan, or sign up for the $15 per month plan for most of the time. Before a trip when I think I will be using the 3G service more often, I will probably sign up for unlimited for that month only.
If you are on the fence, it is probably worth the $130.

p.s. One more benefit that is a big deal for me that a lot people aren't talking about is the GPS. I think the iPad will be a great portable GPS unit, and the WiFi only versions do not have GPS capabilities. With multi-tasking, I think that more interesting GPS like apps will be available this fall as well. I think it would be great to have the iPad log GPS locations, and then when you transfer photos to your iPad, it could automatically encode them with the GPS locations.

Multi-row form with button to save and add another row

Can you have a button on a multi-row tabular form that would save the current changes, and than open a new row up on the fom for a new entry to be entered? This would combine the save and add a row button functions.

Add Row button is doing exactly what you are asking for - it will save the chages you
made and add a new row.

Templates part English, part another language

I just installed Pages '09. All of the templates are part English and part another language even tho the Text selection in Inspector is English.
What now?

2 countries, the USA and Britain seem to struggle with this. Thankfully I never got my education in either.
The "another language" is Latin. Misquotes from Cicero to be exact.
All it does is show you what the text looks like and if you simply clicked in it you would find it is instantly selected and replaced by whatever you type or paste.
All explained in the Pages09_UserGuide.pdf downloadable from under the Help menu and in the Apple video tutorials in the same place. Also offered to you in the *Welcome to Pages*.

Displaying English and ARABIC language on a smartform?

Hi Folks, I have an issue printing two different languages on a smartform; I should print English and One more language of ARABIC style (RIGHT TO LEFT). In Debugging mode i could see the Arabic Text exactly in the format which i have entered but when i print it takes the other way.
For Ex: ABCD - (Fyi - this is of Arabic Language dialect)
o/p: ( i m getting) DCBA
i tried with Text Include n Text Element during debugging i could see the data as DCBA but when i print the system (MS Tools - Word) are recognising the Language is of Arabic and its automatically changing the cursor position to the end ((**I found this in XML Format of Smartform)). so the form is printing from the new cursor position i.e A; and its displaying the output as ABCD.
Note: I have no problem with List, Screen Etc. except "Form".

Check the printer device type you are using.
For printing the Arabic output you need the printer defined using ZARSWIN device type. Ask the Basis consultant to do the same.

Program translation - Copy field captions etc. from another language

Dear experts,
implementing translations for ABAP programs can be very annoying. Is it possible that screen field captions etc. are displayed in English, if no translation for the users logon language can be found. Or is it possible to copy all English texts to another language instead of copy everything text by text?

Abhishek Jolly gave you idea how to copy texts, so I will explain how to use English text for field labels even no translation exists for it.
For this you need to use input/output fields as labels:
- go to screen layout
- replace all the labels you have with input fields
- now for each such input field go to its attributes and choose option Output only . This way you input fields will behave like normal output fields but will look alike to Text field (label)
- go to program and create corresponding (same named) data objets for all fields
- then in some program point (i.e. in PBO) set your input fields like
inp_field = 'First field'(001).
- double click on 001 and text symbol will be created with same text ('First field')
- do the same for all the fields
- activate your texts and run program in different language. You will see same text as you set in EN.

ITunes U displaying in another language (German)

We have a couple of users in which the content that comes from Apple in iTunesU is being displayed in German, not English. It is only happening on specific computers. It is computer specific, not user specific. The content they create (specific to our site - Fairfield University), is in English, but default text that is populated by Apple (the links in a course, when modified data), is in German. Reinstalling iTunes does not fix the issue. Works fine on other computers. The computers have Windows XP SP2, iTunes 8.0.2. The language settings in iTunes is set to English and the computers language preferences in the control panel is set to English. Very weird. Any suggestions?

I have one student who is experiencing the same problem. Some of the content on his iTunes U page is in German some is in English. It's like the two languages are fighting.

Out put form in both English and Arabic

Am working in Saudi Arabia with a client. The requirement is that the payslip should have the text fields in both English and the Arabic Language. Like wise the client needs every letter from his side to have the content in both English and Arabic languages.
ie both the languages in the same sheet. Half in one column English and the second column in Arabic.The log on Language when Arabic is only giving me inputs in Arabic.

for your kind information at the time of instalation of SAP product we can select two launguages..by default german will be there because SAP is Geman product..First one is we will cinsider as English..if your selectt any other launguage you can login also...

HT1923: Removing and reinstalling iTunes for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
You may be required to boot into safe mode to complete the folder deletion process.
