Journal Entrie - Failed to get next member of range member UJJ_JRNID

Hi experts,
I am using the BPC NW 7.5 SP04 version and have created a journal template. When I try to save the journal entry, I get the following error "new journal ID: Failed to get next member of range member (UJJ_JRNID - ). "
I have this error only in production environment. I save and post journal entry in develop environment without error.
Best regards,

  • Add-On connection for Journal Entry - Failed to Connect to SBO Common

    We have a customer (SAPBO 2005A SP01 PL29) with some specific requirements that required an add-on running in the background to monitor the addition of Goods Receipt PO's to the system. When the GRPO is successfully added, the Add-On will (behind the scenes) create an appropriate Journal Entry through the SAP DI. One of the issues that we encountered during the development of this functionality was that when it was tested by users, they weren't authorized to access the Financials module or the Journal Entry screen. What we ended up doing was creating a secondary connection (vCompany) in the DL pulling the information from the encrypted user information from SAP the Add-On used to connect, but utilizing a management level user ID and password. Once that connection has been made, the Journal Entry is added through the DI and that secondary connection is disconnected.
    The problem that we're encountering is this. When the users are logged into SAP Client with an regular user, and the GRPO adds, the secondary connection fails and returns a message of "Failed to Connect to SBO-Common". However, if the user is logged into SAP as an adminitrative level user and the GRPO is added, the secondary connection is successful and the Journal Entry is created. The secondary connection is strictly used for the JE. Here's the code (VS.Net 2005) for the secondary connection:
    vCompany = New SAPbobsCOM.Company
    vCompany.UseTrusted = True
    vCompany.language = SAPbobsCOM.BoSuppLangs.ln_English
    vCompany.CompanyDB = oCompany.CompanyDB
    vCompany.UserName = "XXXXX"
    vCompany.Password = "YYYYY"
    vCompany.Server = oCompany.Server
    vCompany.DbServerType = SAPbobsCOM.BoDataServerTypes.dst_MSSQL2005
    lRetConnect = vCompany.Connect()
    Where "XXXXX" would be the appropriate management level SAP User Name and "YYYYY" would be that users password.
    Has anyone else had this kind of issue where you needed a secondary connection with management level access behind the scenes to accomplish something in SAP and had problems getting it to connect? Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Dennis,
    what you can try is to make a untrusted connection
    oCompany.UseTrusted = False
    and set the DBUser and Pwd
    oCompany.DbUserName = "sa"
    oCompany.DbPassword = "insertpwd"

  • Posting a journal Entry failed

    Hello All
    I created a Journal Entry and edited the Journal Entry. When I tried to post it, I got an error saying
    Could not start child program C:\PT8.49\cblbinA\GLPPPOST REMOTEA ....
    When I looked at my folder structure I donot have that directory at all. .When I read the documentation it seems Posting process GLPPPOST is a Cobol Process. Does that I mean I need to setup cobol environment too?
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks

    Posting process GLPPPOST is a Cobol Process. Does that I mean I need to setup cobol environment too?If you want to run a cobol, you obviously need to configure the cobol env. Starting by the Microfocus install, and compilation. Take a look in the PeopleTools installation guide for more information (OS/database vendor dependant) :

    How to get this value transferred or migrated
    GL looks good but not in Fixed assets- Is there a process we can review or
    find more information on it

    Hi,
    I am pasting my comments next to yours :
    These are the issues that needs to be resolved:
    • Depreciated balance are over stated in Fixed Assets and needs to be adjusted to reflect what is in GL. => I wasn't sure how this was was possible, since I  assumed that your Asset depreciation journals in GL were being fed from FA. So if depreciation was thought to be incorrect in FA, its corresponding balance in GL should've been incorrect as well. But I guess that's not the case because your other questions imply that some of these assets were acquired and their might have been some conversion activity involved.
    • Fixed Assets mass additions are selecting GL accounts that should not be selected. We need to know how to change the criteria for selection. +=> Check the Asset Clearing and CIP clearing accounts on your asset categories+
    Later:
    • We need to learn the proper way to convert assets we acquired from acquisition into our Oracle Fixed Assets system, so that depreciation start at the time we acquire the assets. => That is correct, you could change your original date placed in service to the acquisition date as part of conversion and if you have the correct prorate convention, they should depreciate the way you want it to.

  • Automaticly offer outstanding items of a business partner in journal entry

    One Customer ist a stright bookkeeper. Hi only likes to book in the journal and won't use the banking wizzard.
    Is there a possibility, that there will be automaticly an offer with the outstanding items of the business-partner when making a journal-entry like:
    GL 1.000,00 against BP
    Thanks for helping

    Good morning,
    thanks for your answer. I know this proceeding i've written from other ERP-Software (sage).
    When you make a journal entry, i'll get an offer of the outstanding items from the BP an i can choose, where i'll subtract the payed amount from.
    I see, there is no standard possibility to do so in SBO.
    Why you say, that it isn't a good practise to pass yournal entries on bp?

  • Standard Goods Receipt PO resulting in odd Journal Entries

    I posted a Goods Receipt PO which inculded quantity 3 of an item that is $77.60.
    Normally, this should create a Journal Entry where Inventory gets debited $7760x3=$232.80 and the allocation Account (GOODS RECEIVED NOT INVOICED) on the credit side for the same amount (232.80).
    However this time the resulting JE
    (1) credited GOODS RECEIVED NOT INVOICED for the expected amount (price x quantity = 232.80)
    (2) also credited COGS for $1472.37 and
    (3) debited inventory by $1705.17 (the expected $232.80, plus the unexpected $1472.37).
    Why is the $1472.37 included in this transaction at all - it should have only credited GOODS RECEIVED NOT INVOICED and debited INVENTORY both by $232.80.
    We use FIFO. We do allow negative inventory, however this inventory item was not in negative quantity.
    thanks!
    Geoff

    Gordon, thanks
    When you say "the cost posted would be the earliest inventory for those items" what do you mean?
    I understand that if I posted an AR Invoice , the COGS would be calculated from the oldest available layer, or if the item had a negative quantity on hand, it would have posted the price difference between those transactions that caused the inventory to go negative and the actual price once a transaction occurred that brought the inventory to zero / positive.  Or if there is a difference in price between a GRPO and AP Invoice, the difference is allocated to the Price Difference Account.
    However in a normal GRPO inventory should be debited, and Goods Received Not Invoiced (allocation account) credited... Why is there a JE to to any other accounts period?
    What circumstances could cause these?.
    Prior to this GRPO, the inventory audit showed the item at 70 on hand, $670 cumulative value.  After the GRPO (on which the GRPO Total is $232.80), the inventory audit says 88 on hand and $2375.34 in cumulative value.  This doesn't make sense

  • G/L Account mentioned on line level does not get hit in Journal entry on GRPO and AP Invoice in SAP B1 9.0 PL - 11

    Hi,
    G/L Account mentioned on line level does not get hit in Journal entry on GRPO and AP Invoice in SAP B1 9.0 PL - 11
    I am creating an independent AP Invoice, there are two issues:
    1. On line level G/L Account field is not open for selection
    2. I have then selected and updated the account on Form Settings. Same account gets updated on line level.
         In Journal Entry selected G/L account on line level shall be hitted. But it does not put any effect on JE. Accounting is set by Warehouse. It picks up accounts from warehouse only.
    Need help its urgent.
    Thanks in advance.

    Invoice is Item Type.
    G/L Accounts are set by Warehouse. But if explicitly we are want to change the account on line level in that case, it is not getting reflected in Journal entry. On AR Invoice same scenario works perfectly. On line level I can change the accounts explicitly and have the effect on Journal entries.
    Issue seems to be on AP side only.
    As required please find attached the screen shots.
    JEwith mapped GL Account on Warehouse
    JEwith different GL Account on line Level via Form Settings
    Thanks & Regards

    Gordons way is the easiest - just query the OJDT table for journal entry headers and JDT1 for journal entry lines if needed.
    But if you want to work with the business objects:
    'Journal entry
       Dim oJE As SAPbobsCOM.JournalEntries
       Set oJE = company1.GetBusinessObject(oJournalEntries)
       oJE.GetByKey(1234)
       Dim postingDate as String
       postingDate = oJE.DueDate
    'etc etc

  • Exchange rate differences posting failed due to manual journal entries

    when i run exchange rate differences and try to post the result, system shows "No matching recording found 'journal entry' (OJDT) (ODBC-2028) [message 131-183]" at the bottom panel ane the posting was failed. then i found the problem is actually from manual journal entries made to a business partner. as long as i deselect the manual journal entries, the posting was successfully done.
    i am using B1 2007B with pl09. is this standard in B1 2007B that exchange rate differences posting does not work with manual journal entries of BP?

    you are right! it is a bug in 2007B.
    The posting has no problem if the base reference number is same as the transaction number in the manual JE document. however, if we define a numbering series which is different from the transaction serial number, then we have problem with the posting. System searchs for the JE records by using base reference number as transaction number. That is why it could not find the JE document and then report the error message.
    so, where should i post the bug to SAP and let them fix the bug as soon as possible?
    thanks for the help!

  • How not to get a 'Journal Import Created' description at the Journal Entry Lines?

    For records loaded thru the Journal import,
    I always get a 'Journal Import Created' description at the Journal Entry Lines.
    Instead of this description, I want a
    more useful information which I may
    include at the GL_INTERFACE table
    possibly at the REFERENCE10 field.
    For those who will reply to this question,
    thank you very much in advance.
    null

    To populate this journal description, the Reference10 field must be populated in the GL_INTERFACE table.
    However, I have also discovered (version 11.03) that if you populate this field, but then import summarized journals, Oracle discards the value and reverts to "Journal Import Created" unless the value in the reference10 field is identical for all records to be summarized.

  • How can I get the transID of journal entry When I insert it?

    Hi,
    When I insert a new journal Entry I need to know the transID associated. Because it may not be the last of OJDT table.
    How can i have sure, using the SBO Objects?
    Best Regards,
    Ricardo Pereira

    Perhaps it isn't working in your VB6 example based on brackets / call syntax.
    The syntax in VB6 should be either
       Call Company.GetNewObjectCode(ObjectCode)
    or
       Company.GetNewObjectCode ObjectCode
    It will not work if you use
        Company.GetNewObjectCode(ObjectCode)
    The DI returns the last document number related to its own connection, not to other peoples connections.
