Jquery Accordion with Sitemap as a Datasource

Hi techies,
I have created one accordion using Ajax Toolkit with sitemap as a datasource.. but due to performance issue now i need to redevelop it using Jquery with Sitemap as a datasource.
Any help will be appreciated.

Here is a much easier way, using just designer.
The default SharePoint menu is using <SharePoint:ASPMenu> control, which in tern using SiteMapDataSource as data source. Open a default SharePoint master page, you should see them.
In order to apply the accordion animation to it, you just need to apply proper style (classes) to the ASPMenu generated.
To do that, I am using a PageLayout page as example,
put a div tag around the <SharePoint:ASPMenu> tag like below.
<div class="ms-core-sideNavBox-removeLeftMargin" id="accordion">
Add reference to the accordion jquery-UI library,
Add this following script to the Addtionalpagehead section,
function init(){
    $(".root > li > a").bind('click',function(e){
        e.preventDefault();
        if(false == $(this).next().is(':visible')) {
            $('.root > li > ul').slideUp(300);
        $(this).next().slideToggle(1000);
    $("#accordion ul > li > ul:gt(0)").hide();
//    $(".root > li > ul:gt(0)").hide();
//    $('#accordion ul:eq(0)').show();
    $(document).ready(init);

  • Create a dynamic search in JSP with more than one datasource

    Hello,
    In the ViewCiteria tag you can specify the datasource in which you want to place the criteria. Is it also possible to work with more than one datasource ?
    In my project I want one query form for specifying criteria for more than one datasource. When I send the query form, I want the right view criteria will be coupled with the right datasource.
    Has someone more experience with that ???
    Thanks!!!

    Hi,
    I think I got the same problem! I tried to combine all the tables in a new view and create a query on this view.
    But when I search and my result has to be one record from the main table, I get this record more than once.
    I tried to use distinct but that does not work because each column has a different value, so the record is never the same.
    I hope someone can help us!

  • Accordion with Vertical Navigation problem

    Following tutorial about phone layout accordion/vertical navigation menu encountering following problem in my original file:
    Create accordion - ok (style to my pref)
    Insert vertical navigation - ok (style to my pref)
    When trying to resize the v/nav to hit the red line on browser edge - both left and right, in preview and in mobile simulator the navigation panels don't expand accordingly to the width of the mobile screen.
    If try with only accordion with no menu all ok. As soon as I add the navigation and try to size to hit the red guides indicating that it will resize with browser size, when preview it doesn't as described above.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks
    Sam

    If you DO want the slideshow overlaping the navigation try the below css:
    .sidebar1 {
        float: left;
        width: 225px;
        margin: 60px 0px 60px 60px;
        color: #FFFF0D;
        background: #595FFF;
        border-radius: 13px;
        -moz-border-radius: 13px;
        -webkit-border-radius: 13px;
        padding: 5px 5px 0px 5px;
        border: 3px solid #F7F723;
    .box {
    float: left;
    margin-left:-60px;
    width:700px;
    height:350px;
    border-radius: 13px;
    -moz-border-radius: 13px;
    -webkit-border-radius: 13px;

  • Dynamic accordion with dynamic datagrid

    I’m trying to create a dynamic accordion with embedded
    datagrids in each accordion area. I have the base working but have
    2 problems I can’t seem to figure out.
    Bases; the accordion uses a repeater and vbox with a custom
    component from a webservice result set to create the accordion. The
    custom component has another webservice that gets a value from the
    repeater to pass it to the custom component.
    My 2 problems:
    1. how do I prevent the custom component from running the
    webservice until the accordion item is clicked or the area is
    visible? Otherwise I end up will a bunch of queries hitting the DB
    and if there is several items for the accordion and many items from
    the datagrid its slower.
    2. how can I get the datagrid query to refresh when the
    accordion item is clicked? Because the data may change I am not
    able to see the updated data unless I reload the entire
    application.
    1 thing I did try. With the tab control you can use the
    show() event and the data will refresh just fine, but with the
    accordion, the show() event does not seem to fire. Its as if they
    are all visible.
    Any help here would be much appreciated, I’ve been
    racking my brain for days now and I sure it is something simple
    that I am missing. Thanks in advance.

  • Jquery mobile with phonegap

    Hello All,
    I am planning to create a new mobile app project developed by Jquery and html5 css3, and integrate it with the Phonegap. also planning to get my dynamic data from wordpress site by JSON.
    my question here is it possible that JSON data list to  be as a listview data role even if its with a large number of items like over 1000 items with no crash! if not possible, what is the best solution to make a large dynamic list!
    Thanks

    @pk4ut You need to select "jQuery Mobile with theme (local). That's the same as using (phonegap). Thanks for watching!

  • Accordion with spry data on IE8

    Hi,
    I have an accordion with spry data and everything works fine on IE8 and FF, but on IE8 when i click on a accordion tab it doesnt focus on that open panel. It takes me at the very top of where my accordion begins. I notice the same thing happens to the accordion with spry data site. It's a problem for me because my page has a long accordion and our users have small laptop screens. Does anyone know how this can be fixed in IE8?
    Sorry i dont have a sample link or code, because it's on our company intranet. but i used the exact same method on the spry accordion with data page.

    Good. I am sure you can figure it out.

  • Opening first tab of jquery accordion when page loads

    Hello, I am wondering how I would make the first tab of my accordion to open when the page loads. It is a custom accordion and therefore it is hard to find the answer online.

  • Spry accordion with nested accordions

    I'm building an FAQ list with topics and sub topics, using a

    Sure! It has to be done in two parts. First part from your
    SpryAccordion.css file and the second it is adding a new
    property to the
    Accordion object when it’s initialized.
    First part:
    Select .AccordionPanelContent class
    Delete Height property
    Change the value of overflow from auto to hidden;
    Second part:
    In the constructor function at the bottom of your faqs.htm
    file, amend
    this code:
    var Accordion1 = new Spry.Widget.Accordion("Accordion1");
    var Accordion9 = new Spry.Widget.Accordion("Accordion9");
    to this:
    var Accordion1 = new Spry.Widget.Accordion("Accordion1",
    {useFixedPanelHeights:false});
    var Accordion9 = new Spry.Widget.Accordion("Accordion9",
    {useFixedPanelHeights:false});
    Hope this helps.

    Spry has no custom scroll bars. Currently Spry (as of 1.6.1)
    doesn't have drag and drop which would be required for a custom
    scroll bar. Best you might be able to do would be to try to style
    the browser provided scroll bars, but that's not valid CSS, and I
    know that Firefox doesn't show the styled scrollbars (IE does).
    Take a look at this page in IE:

  • JQuery Conflicts with Muse and Plugins

    Hello Community,
    Recently, we ran into problems with jquery libraries (and my programmers were unable to fix it...suggesting I just make a stand-alone page in Dreamweaver/Komodo) when trying to insert that awesome LayerSlider from CodeCanyon. The problem: Muse calls an older jquery library than the one the LayerSlider needs (and once we updated it to the newest jquery standard, Muse no longer worked!). Hmmm. I wonder if there can be any type of fix for this as well????
    Has anyone got a work around to this (besides creating the page in its entirety with an IDE, then FTPing it after the Muse FTP in order to overwrite the index.html? (That's what we will have to do, since we definitely want that LayerSlider on the home page)).
    Thanks,
    Skyborn Manager

    Design work! Anything server-side unless I either revert to an older version of DW or cobble in the 3rd party fix to restore all the server-side functionality.   I love Muse because I can make things look the way I want them too very easily.  Here is a sample basic dialog.  Clearly does not look like the "canned" jquery dialog with the canned ui-dialog-titlebar or ui-dialog-content. For this one I've used a blank compo, single t/t, set the container to transparent enabled a close button, layered in a rectangle for the tombstone and a seperate one for the actual content, stylized the close button to get my "look".  Then tweaked the jquery to get rid of the padding, borders and corner radius, so I can set radius individually.  Not very elegant but the only way I could get a "title bar" to look like I wanted and a "content" area slightly smaller so as to complement the slide action, giving the effect that the "content" is retracting up into the "title bar" on collapse, like you see with an accordian.
    There are multiple dialogs on the page. Triggers appear to be "menu items".  When a target is triggered the target needs to allow a user to min/max/dock/collapse the different dialogs.
    I don't mind using Muse in conjunction with DW, not a problem.  Just need to figure out how to get the look in Muse coupled with the functionality in DW.  Now since I exported to html I do have the .png files so...... maybe a way to use the .png files in DW instead...........

  • Accordion with variable height

    Hi -
    I have a 2-panel accordion with variable heights, and spry
    data in both the top and bottom panels. Selections made in the top
    panel will load data into the bottom panel, and the page opens to
    the top panel by default. My problem is that the bottom panel will
    only display enough height to show the initial HTML markup, and not
    the spry data generated after the initial page load. Is there any
    way to use an observer to "refresh" the accordion to reset its
    height to accommodate the new data?
    Also, is there a way to require that at least one panel
    remain open when using variable heights?
    Thanks in advance,
    Rod

    Hi,
    We have a similar question on this
    post.
    To fit exactly with your request you should change the line:
    regionHeight =
    document.getElementById("myRegion").scrollHeight;
    with:
    document.getElementById("myRegion").style.height =
    document.getElementById("myRegion").scrollHeight + 'px';

  • Page from Sample - Mobile Starters - jQuery Mobile with theme not working on mobile

    I created a new webpage - New - Page from Sample - Mobile Starters - Jquery Mobile with Theme and did not modify it.
    That does not work on an iPhone or Android.
    What am I missing? Is there an update to make the jquery mobilesite work?
    This is how it looks in dreamweaver
    http://ricston.com/push/test/screenshot_dreamweaver.png
    This is how it looks on my phone:
    http://ricston.com/push/test/screenshot_galaxy.png
    The page for the template is here http://ricston.com/push/test/test.html - As you can see, nothing has been changed.

    Thank you.  I was having the exact same problem.  I even upoaded the unmodified starter page, just in case it was something I did.  Inserting the viewport line fixed it.  (Now I need to go back and insert that line into each of the pages I was working on.)
    The question remains, however, as to why the mobile starter pages don't include that line in the first place.
    [edit] FYI - On Dreamweaver CC, it's under the "common" group within "insert".  (I would have expected it under "JQuery Mobile", but it's not there.)

  • Jquery accordion how to collapse panel by default

    Hi I am using the latest Dreamweaver how do I collapse the panel so that none are open when the page first opens?

    collapsibleType: Boolean

    Whether all the sections can be closed at once. Allows collapsing the active section.
    Code examples:
    Initialize the accordion with the collapsible option specified:
    1
    $( ".selector" ).accordion({ collapsible: true });
    Get or set the collapsible option, after initialization:
    1
    2
    3
    4
    5
    // getter
    var collapsible = $( ".selector" ).accordion( "option", "collapsible" );
    // setter
    $( ".selector" ).accordion( "option", "collapsible", true );
    HI Nancy I see this
    and I click on collapsible in property panel and it give me this:
    <script type="text/javascript">
    $(function() {
      $( "#Accordion1" ).accordion({
      heightStyle:"content",
      animate:{easing: "swing"},
      collapsible:true
            </script>
    But I can't figure out how to collapse the first panel
    http://restoring-health.net/resources.html
    Try the following:
    <script>
    $(function() {
    $( "#Accordion1" ).accordion({
    active: false,
    collapsible: true,
    heightStyle:"content",
    animate:{easing: "swing"},
    </script>
