JSF: how to add new record in datatable from same page

Jdeveloper : 11.1.2.2.0
using ADF i want to create a page that contains a datatable, input text field and a command button.
when i press the command button i want the text in the input text field to be inserted as a new record in datatable.
what is the best practice for that ? how to get the value of the input text field and insert it?

It depends on what fields you want to add.
1. If Oracle has included the fields, just render them via personalizations
2. If they are brand new fields:
a) you will need to extend the VO (I do not know the exact name).
b) change the query to get your extra db columns if necesary
c) add transient attributes to the VO and map them to b).
d) Then you need to add the items via personalization and map them to the attributes you created in c)

How to add new records in Start routine or end routine.

Hi All,
        My requirement is to transfer data from one DSO to anothe DSO. But while transfering a single record frorm DSO1 i want to add 7 records to DSO2 for each record in DSO1 with slight change in data( with a different key). I want to do it in start routine or end routine. How can i do it. If you have any ABAP code for this then please send.

The Key figures will then show up in the report aggregated.Hope that is fine with you.

Before loading data, in DTP set the semantic key with the key field of the DSO1.This brings all the similar data w.r.t the key fields from the PSA together in a single package.

I am very new to OA Framework. Can you experts give me some guidance on how to proceed with the following customization?
My requirement is in iprocurement when you open a new cart and check out on "ICX_POR_SHOPPING_CART" there is a Project Field and reference to Charge account. If the users go to charge account (ICX_POR_CHECKOUT_SUMMARY) and enter the segment values ( which includes project segment) and enters a value in project segment other than '000000' with out entering the Project Field on "ICX_POR_SHOPPING_CART" the page should give error.
Please give me some suggestions on how to proceed.

How appears a new JSP file in the same page?

I have a JSP file in a portal page.From this file I want to open another one.The new file must be opened in the same portal page with the same size and exactly in the same place. But it always openes a completely new page and the portal page disappears.I know that the mistake is from the provider file, but I don't know what should I change.

In my.jsp you could put a form with n submit buttons whith different values of parameter "name", like this:

If it is prompting you that it will replace the data on your iPhone, then that is typically the result of syncing with a different computer. The only way you can bypass that is to replace the media on your device and then sync. Now it will only replace items that would be considered purchased items like music, movies, TV shows and Apps and would not delete any pictures from your iPhone. Alternatively you can setup a Shared Photo Stream and then add the Photos there without syncing your iPhone with your computer. Check out the articles below for more information.

how to add a record in document library without upload file?
Is it possible? I want to create a folders in Document Library but inside folders i do not want to upload a file instead of just i want to create a record. I will map my local file path to the records.

Hello Sankaran,
document library is to upload documents, without document you will not be able to add a record or Item to it.
for your requirement you can use a list and enable folders within the list and maintain the local path of the file as an item in list.

the fact that your question is posted in Order Management section, does the move order automatically generated by OM?
nevertheless, i don't think you should (or allowed, in this case) to add a new line in transact move order. Transact move order only queries (not create records) the move order lines eligible to allocate and transact.
So, I don't see why you need to add a new line in transact move order.
You can, however, add a new line in the allocation of the lines, where for instance, you need to have half of the line allocated to one locator, and the other half to another locator

We have 4 below file systems.

Sybase/TST/sapdata_3
Sybase/TST/sapdata_4
Already we have added one data file each in sapdata_1 and 2. Sapdata3 and 4 are emptry.
How to add new data file in sapdata3 or 4.

Now i want to add new custom fields apart from standard; when i create new tasks i want fill this new fields and after, display this fields in the UWL.

I think of something like:
First, you create extension, with transaction WE30.
Then, reduce your idoc, your extension should also be proposed.
Do not forget to add this extension in outbound we82, and/or we57 in inbound, and WE20, and find BTE or exit to populate extension.

when created added a field on the screen by using user exit then after that you have add the field in main table where you will be getting these table in the userexit only, please make sure about this. And i am sure defenitly it will get updated in to the table.

Hi,
I presume you are talking about a report display in ALV and u wish to add a column to it .
If it is a global requirement ,as in table being used there in ALV can be modified, then you can append the table and the system should pick up the same automatically from there.
Otherwise , you can make a Z program . Modify the catalog being used in ALV.

First upload the file into an internal table. If you are using a file that is on application server. Use open dataset and close dataset.
Then :
Loop at it.
*insert or modify as per your requirement.
Endloop.
