  • Calling multidimensional array in JSP into other JSP

    hello friends,
         nice to c good replies over here...so i want to post my problem in JSP using multi-dimensional
    array..
    One JSP contains mutli-dimensional array and i want to call this JSP into the other JSP in which i can use the values of that array.

    i think the jsp include directive should be suitable for you. the variables from the included jsp can be used in the jsp which is including it.
    <%@ include file="whatever.jsp" %>

  • SampleWebProvider not in the portlets repository

    Hi.
    I installed jpdk , I can see the test page , with the list of sample portlets , but when I login to Portal , I cannot see the sample web portlets into the portlets repository :(
    Some ideas ??
    Thx a lot.
    Max

    Hi,
    I presume that you have added the provider to portal. You might not be seeing the newly added provider in the repository in the view mode, but if you select the
    edit mode for repository, you will see the provider there.
    This does happen if the repository doesnt get refreshed, so you could just refresh the provider, you should get the provider in the repository.
    btw what version of portal & jpdk are you using?
    Thanks & Regards,

  • In portlet context include a jsp from the desktop context

    Hi,
    I developed a portlet, and in my jsp file I want to include a jsp file which is in my portal desktop (the file is in /etc/opt/SUNWps/desktop/..).
    So I want to do something like:
    <c:import url="file:///etc/opt/SUNWps/desktop/mydesktop/ PortletHeader.jsp" /> Of course this doesn't work because the jsp expressions are not executed, instead the jsp tags are just displayed in the browser.
    but for including a jsp with <@include file> or <c:import> or <jsp:include>, the jsp must run in its context. So actually we should do something like <c:import url="some_path" context="some_context" >.
    Now, I don't know what some_context is. To what context the portal desktop runs so the jsp file can be 'executed'?
    Hope someone can give me some more information about this.
    Greets,
    Tim

    <quote>some_context <quote>
    ..will be the pageContext
    which is the implicit object for a JSP.
    or
    use config object to get this context and then use
    <jsp:include> or <@include file>

  • Can't open a jsp in a pop up or iframe from another jsp in the same portlet

    Hi There,
    I have a simple struts portlet "MNPPortlet" it contains some JSPs as the below hirearchy
    MNPPortlet
    WebContent
    pages
    A.jsp
    B.jsp
    I just want to open B.jsp in a popup window or in an iframe from A.jsp, I have tried the following
    1- window.open("B.jsp")
    2- <IFRAME src="B.jsp">
    but it doesn't seem to work, I always get 404 page not found error, since it generates wrong URLs, any ideas how can i get the right URIs generated ?
    P.S. it's working fine as struts application, not portlet
    Thanks alot

    Thanks guys for reply
    @Sadhu, yes this works <%=request.getContextPath()%>/<location of your Jsp>/B.jsp
    but i thought i can get something to generate the location of my jsp (the portlet module folder) dynamically, since the page I'm referring to is on the same location of the caller page
    @Kevin, I have tried <render:resourceUrl path="B.jsp" /> but this only gets localhost:7001/b.jsp
    I have tried also <render:resourceUrl contextualPath="B.jsp" /> this gets the url with the context root appended localhost:7001/applicationRoot/b.jsp
    both of them didn't get the complete URL
    the only thing that works is using <render:getJspUri> to get the URI of the page I'm in , then appending the "B.jsp" to this , is this really the only way ?
    what about netui ?
    Sorry but I'm beginner on weblogic portal, really appreciate your help :)

  • Ive just learned that i can use loadjava to load jsp pages into the database.

    Ive just learned that i can use loadjava to load jsp pages into the database. How is that possible. How can someone go to my lets say, index.jsp page and actually see it if its inside the database? What authenticates it? Where would you set the parameters to tell http(apache) to look inside the db for the pages?
    Any ideas?

    Thanks for the reply. If I put the file on the database, does it have to be in a particular location? I've put it on the database server, launched sql*plus (as APPS) and ran the following:
    execute dbms_java.loadjava('-v', 'ZebraGetPrinterFromXML.class');
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.Then when I try to run a process that uses this I get this:
    ORA-29540: class ZebraGetPrinterFromXML does not exist

  • When click on button in jsp portlet, the portlet is reloaded

    Hi all
    I have a jsp portlet containing a number of divs and buttons. When the user clicks on a specific button, I use javascript to hide and/or display specific divs.
    However, in Weblogic Portal 10.3 (using IE 8 or FF 3.5.3) the whole portlet is reloaded when I click on a button.
    This results in the default screen being displayed again.
    Is there a way that I can prevent Weblogic Portal from reloading the portlet when javascript is executed in the portlet?

    Can you send source for how you create your button? Is it <input> or <button> ?
    I suspect what's happening is that your button has no type, so it's defaulting to "submit" behavior, reposting the page.
    Try using <button type="button" ...> and see if that doesn't fix it.

  • Can't us Oracle API on the simple JSP pages added to the portlet........

    Hi,
    I added a jsp page in the portlet which is not a standard page like the default show mode pages. I have added some code which actually access a resource inside the porltet.
    " img src="<%= UrlUtils.constructResourceURL (pReq, HttpPortletRendererUtil .absoluteLink(request, "icon.png")) %> "
    For that you have to add the following two imports in the code
    mport="oracle.portal.provider.v2.render.http.HttpPortletRendererUtil"
    import="oracle.portal.provider.v2.url.UrlUtils"
    This library is available with the JDeveloper and I dont get any error while compiling and even deploying the portlet war file on the applcation server. Strangely the same piece of code shows the image perfectly for the default show page of the portlet but it generates 500 Internal server error for the other simple jsp page I added, which suggests that the server is unable to find the function:

    Thanks Nrintala. I tried to work with multipage portlet example provided in the jpdk. In fact I created another portlet with two pages and copied the code of the two pages of the multipage portlet. (Off course I took care of the names and stuff). Later I modified the provider.xml by defining "next_page" parameter. When I viewed my portlet, first page appeared fine but when I click on the link which should show the second page, I got an error which says.
    Error:      Error occurred while rendering portlet - see provider log file for details.
    Do you think I have missed something? I am depoying my war file on the stand alone OC4J and some how I have not been able to find the application.log file in my application inside the application_deployments of the J2EE_HOME. I have pasted the provider.xml file and I would be grateful if you can help.
    <?xml version = '1.0' encoding = 'UTF-8'?>
    <?providerDefinition version="3.1"?>
    <provider class="oracle.portal.provider.v2.DefaultProviderDefinition">
    <session>false</session>
    <passAllUrlParams>true</passAllUrlParams>
    <portlet class="oracle.portal.provider.v2.DefaultPortletDefinition">

    Damodar,
    To include an existing JSP page as a portlet have a look in the PDK section http://portalcenter.oracle.com there is lots useful information. The two things you might find most relevant is a paper on creating java portlets. This paper has a section on turning an existing JSP page into a portlet
    http://portalstudio.oracle.com/pls/ops/docs/FOLDER/COMMUNITY/PDK/ARTICLES/HOW.TO.BUILD.A.JAVA.PORTLET.USING.PDK.JAVA.V2.HTML
    and to pass parameters and events

  • How can I forward to a jsp under the WEB-INF directory?

    I have a webapp with a jsp that forwards to a jsp called /WEB-INF/pages/secure.jsp When I try to forward to it, I get the error:
    "trying to GET /mywebapp/WEB-INF/pages/secure.jsp, deny-existence reports: denying existence of /web/webapps/mywebapp/WEB-INF/pages/secure.jsp"
    How can I forward to this page?

    Craig - I'm trying to do something very similar - build a waiting page into the

    far have had no luck. Let me know if you've found the answer - or are still struggling.

    The following code produces the ubiquitous "Functionality temporarily
    unavailable" message, presumably because jsp:forward chokes on the
    absolute URL:
    <c:set var="url">
    <portlet:createWebflowURL event="next"/>
    </c:set>
    <%
    // convert to a scripting variable for the jsp:forward tag
    String url = (String) pageContext.getAttribute("url");
    %>
    <jsp:forward page="<%=url%>"/>
    Using c:redirect fares little better. This code produces an empty
    portlet:
    <c:set var="url">
    <portlet:createWebflowURL event="next"/>
    </c:set>
    <c:redirect url="${url}"/>
    The closest I've been able to get is to have the user click a link to
    get to the next page, but I'd like to have an automatic forward rather
    than introduce another mouse click:
    ">
    Click to continue...</A>
    Am I missing something obvious? Any help would be appreciated...

  • Jsps from pageflow portlet in navigation (or from portlet to book pages)

    Hi all,
    I'm a Weblogic newbie. I was wondering if anyone could please tell me how to get the name or title of a jsp from a pageflow portlet in navigation?
    I have page1.jsp (title: "Step 1"), page2.jsp ("Step 2") and page3.jsp ("Step 3") in a page flow that goes from page1.jsp to page2.jsp to page3.jsp. This page flow is made into a portlet. This portlet is the ONLY thing on the page in the portal book and the ONLY way to get to page3 is from page2 and to get to page2 is from page1, although you can return to page1 at any point.
    I would like my navigation programming--the single level across the top--to show the name of the jsp that is showing or the title. I've seen how to get the book and the pages of the book in the navigation, but not how to get further than that.
    Has anyone else done this?
    Thanks so much in advance.

    Have you resolved this problem? I'm stuck at the same place.
