JSP NOT EXECUTING - URGENT HELP

Hi,
I am having a problem of JSP pages not getting executed. The setup is I have a Webserver and Appserver (Websphere 5.0) on different (unix) machines.
I have a JSP page and I have put a log message at the very start of the page (not in a global function though). So ideally every time I execute I should have a log message on my log right ?? This is not the case.
When I monitor the log (by viewing it dynamically -tail command ), only some visits cause the log to be written and not all the visit to the page.
Local WSAD machine the code works fine and everything is ok. I do not have access to the Webserver and Appserver configurations and the group responsible is not able to solve this so far.
Please let me know why this is happening ?
Thanks in advance,
Bharani

1. Will the URL that i am trying to access be:
http://localhost:8080/examples/jsp/gcdBB/LoginServlet
2. Regarding WEB-INF/classes/gcd/gcd folder (note - 2 times gcd). When LoginServlet.java (located in: WEB-INF/classes/gcd) is compiled in JCreator, a second gcd folder is automatically created (WEB-INF/classes/gcd/gcd).
Should I make any corrections, or alterations?
Thanks,
Niall

    PS: The server group is denying any cache setup but I am not sure of their claim. So any specifics ??

    I already have
    <META http-equiv="Pragma" content="no-cache">
    <META http-equiv="Expires" content="-1">
    and
    response.setHeader("Cache-Control","no-cache");
    response.setHeader("Pragma","no-cache");
    response.setDateHeader("Expires", 0);
    response.setHeader("Expires","-1");
    response.setHeader("Cache-Control","no-store");
    Both at the html level and JSP level expiration. Doesnt help

  • IMessage and FaceTime not working, Urgent Help please!!!

    Hi guys,
    Need help urgently, my iMessage and FaceTime are both not working on my Macbook Pro.
    The iMessage gives giving this message "Could not sign in. Please check your network connection and try again.", while FaceTime just simply cannot login.
    Please help!!!

    This could be a complicated problem to solve, as there are many possible causes for it. Test after taking each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Back up all data before making any changes.
    Before proceeding, test on another network, if possible. That could be a public Wi-Fi hotspot, if your computer is portable, or a cellular network if you have a mobile device that can share its Internet connection. If you find that iMessage works on the other network, the problem is in your network or at your ISP, not in your computer.
    Step 1
    Check the status of the service. If the service is down, wait tor it to come back up. There may be a localized outage, even if the status indicator is green.
    Step 2
    Sign out of iMessage and FaceTime on all your Apple devices. Log out and log back in. Try again to sign in.
    Step 3
    Restart your router and your broadband device, if they're separate. You may have to skip this step if you don't control those devices.
    Step 4
    From the menu bar, select
               ▹ About This Mac
    Below the "OS X" legend in the window that opens, the OS version appears. Click the version line twice to display the serial number. If the number is missing or invalid according to this web form, take the machine to an Apple Store or other authorized service center to have the problem corrected.
    Step 5
    Take the steps suggested in this support article. If you don't understand some of the steps or can't carry them out, ask for guidance.
    Step 6
    From the menu bar, select
               ▹ System Preferences... ▹ Network
    If the preference pane is locked, click the lock icon in the lower left corner and enter your password to unlock it. Then click the Advanced button and select the Proxies tab. If the box marked SOCKS Proxy is checked, uncheck it. You don’t need to change any other settings in the window. Click OK and then Apply. Test.
    The result may be that you can't connect to the Internet at all. Revert the change if that happens, or if iMessage still doesn't work. Remember that you must Apply any changes you make in the preference pane before they take effect.
    Step 7
    Select from the menu bar
               ▹ System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Storage
    and click
              Block all sites from storing information on this computer
    Close the preference pane.
    Step 8
    Make sure you know the ID and password you use with iMessage. Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
    ☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
    ☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
    ☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
    Use the search box in the toolbar of the Keychain Access window to find and delete all items with "iMessage" or "com.apple.idms" in the name. Log out and log back in.
    Step 9
    Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
    While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
    Test while logged in as Guest. After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
    *Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
    If iMessage worked in the guest account, stop here and post your results.
    Step 10
    Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you start up, and again when you log in.
    Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or earlier, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
    Safe mode is much slower to start and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound outputand Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
    The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
    Test while in safe mode. After testing, restart as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and test again.
    If iMessage worked in safe mode, but still doesn't work when you restart in "normal" mode, stop here and post your results.
    Step 11
    Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    /Library/Preferences/com.apple.apsd.plist
    Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
              Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
    from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item selected. Move the selected item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password. Restart the computer and empty the Trash.
    *If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination  command-C. In the Finder, select
              Go ▹ Go to Folder...
    from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
    Step 12
    Reset the NVRAM.
    Step 13
    Reset the System Management Controller (SMC).
    Step 14
    Reinstall OS X.
    Step 15
    If none of the above steps resolves the issue, make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or contact Apple Support. When you set up a support call, select "Apple ID" as the product you need help with, not the hardware model. That way, if you're not under AppleCare, you may be able to talk your way out of being charged for the call.

  • Send Invoices/Billing Doc by Email not displaying:Urgent help

    Dear SD Guru's
    I have a problem where I am trying to send my billing documents by email. When I use the output type Mail and Medium 7, Program:RSNASTSO, Form Routine:SAPOFFICE_AUFRUF_VX and I assigned a form which was designed by one of our abaper's. The result is the when I sent the billing document, its is sent to the mailbox but the billing document which will now be a PDF file does not open. What could be the problem??
    On the other hane if we use medium 5 External Send, the mail it is not sent, it remains in status WAITING, and remains in transit in SCOT.
    I urgently need to your help, as this functionality is now overdue.

    Hie Vee
    I have checked T-code NACE and taken a look at the table you said I should check, I actually noticed that the table is updated by the fields you input into NACE fields.
    I am so stuck, but maybe you could just check for for your output type, the Medium, Program and Form routine you are using unless thay are all non standard. But the norm is you add Z to the standard so maybe the letters after the Z could give me a hint.
    Plizzzzzzzzz!!!

  • JSP not executing the java code

    Hello there.
    my m/c: tru64 unix
    Apache version: 2.0
    tomcat version: 4.0.5
    browser version: IE5
    I have index.jsp as
    =======
    <HTML>
    <HEAD>
    <TITLE> Vimala's JSP </TITLE>
    </HEAD>
    <BODY>
    Hello <%= request.getParameter ("name") %>
    <%
    for (int i=1; i < 5; i++)
    out.print ("<BR> Sample JSP loop");
    %>
    <FORM METHOD=POST ACTION="vimala.jsp">
    Enter nothing
    <INPUT TYPE=TEXTAREA NAME=name>
    <BR><BR><INPUT TYPE=SUBMIT>
    </FORM>
    </BODY>
    </HTML>
    =======
    The above neither prints the getParameter ("name") as passed in URL nor it prints the "for loop" values.
    However the html related things such as title and Form are properly displayed in the browser.
    I think I'm missing something in the tomcat (server.xml) or apache (httpd.conf) configurations. Your inputs to solve my problem is very much appreciated.
    Thank you,
    Vimala.

    Please find the web.xml here.

  • Firewire Port not working, URGENT help please¡¡¡

    Hello People, i´ve just got a new Mac Mini  last week, and i´ve been trying to get my Alesis MasterControl audio interface, and is just a complete mess.
    This happened right after i´ve upgraded to 10.8.3 so i don´t know, the weird thing is that if i connect my old iBook to the Mac Mini the FW800 port works, but everytime i connect the audio interface, nothing happens, also the drivers from alesis, are up to date. i first thought about the port of the Mixer went bad, but it has 2 and non of them works, also thought about the cable but the same cable works when i connect my iBook, and the mixer is not bus powered, it has it´s own power supply.
    Needless to say i´ve already done the usual reset PRAM, turn of the Mac unplugged for 30 hour to reset the bus. etc.
    This is the usual firewire only system log that i get:

  • TrackPad Not Working - Urgent help please

    Hi all
    Hope you can help.
    The top case of my 12 G4 PowerBook is damaged so I bought a replacment.
    Fitted it and the tackpad would not work. Got another and the same result, the trackpad would not work. I made sure with the second one, that the topcase came from exactly the same spec as my PowerBook incase that was the issue.
    Is there a way I can find out what is going on please?
    Or a way I can get my 12" to see the new tracpad?
    Many kind thanks

  • Date format not recognized -- urgent help needed

    Hi,
    I'm having a problem when start sqlplus in dos command window. If I start it from C:\oracle\ora81\bin, it won't started and error message showing like 'Date format not recognized' and then come back to DOS.
    I do have OWB installed which also has SQLPLUS installed so that there is no problem if I start it from C:\ORACLE\owb92\bin.
    For some reason, the path is setting as C:\oracle\ora81\bin before C:\ORACLE\owb92\bin so the default always goes to 81 folder.
    If restart the DB instance, and this problem is gone. But it comes back after some application running (our own application and Oracle provided OMBPlus ). We double check our own application, and there is no where to "alter session ...".
    Any help will be very appreciatged,
    Thanks,
    Daming

    I'm having a problem when start sqlplus in dos command window. If I start it from C:\oracle\ora81\bin, it won't started and error message showing like 'Date format not recognized' and then come back to DOS.
    Do you have a file called 'login.sql' in the folder 'C:\oracle\ora81\bin'? If there is one, is there an 'alter session' command in this file?

  • Roadmap structure not visible - Urgent help pls...

    Hello All,
    I tried creating a custom roadmap with my own folder structure. I created it as all subfolders.
    Once I am done with creation, I tried with RMMAIN transaction to view the same. But unfortunately I am not able to see the structure created by me.
    I am sure that I am missing something with the 'Entry Screen' button of the RMAUTH transaction. But not able to figure out what it is. When I press the 'Entry Screeen' button, I am able to see all the folders I created for my Roadmap structure.
    But the same is not visible in RMMAIN. Can anybody help me figuring out what I am missing and where I am missing?
    Any input in this regard will be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot in advance.
    best regds,
    Alagammai.

    Without having to go into a lot of details on this - there are ample details on how to use these objects together to create a custom road-map.  There can be a number of things wrong that are not being satisfied by the work you have done so far.  You can access the guide in the http://service.sap.com/solutionmanager -> media library -> documentation -> 4.0 SP12 File.  Goto the section on Creating RoadMaps - it can explain all the nuances better than I can.  Personally I think that there is an issue with the flavor and how you have assigned your components such that when you created your project - there was nothing to display but go through the guide anyhow and see what might be the issue.
    Remeber that you can always copy a RoadMap and then remove a bunch of stuff that you don't like - this is the typical method of doing business that I have seen that works pretty well.  Making these from scratch can be a bit of a pain.

  • [[ Page Flow Error - Action Not Found ]] - urgent help needed!

    Hi all,
    My portal application runs on Weblogic 8.1 and I am encountering a vague error which does not point back to any of the application-based files. The error message, as stated in the subject, is
    "Page Flow Error - Action Not Found"
    I did modify the url-template-config.xml under groWeb/WEB_INF to add a new template to enforce secure access to application resources. Could this have caused the above error?
    Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!!
    Thanks.

    Here is just a portion of Page Controller class
    package com.amd.portal.presentation.GeneralRegistration
    public class GeneralRegistrationController extends PageFlowController
    * @jpf:action
    * @jpf:forward name="success" path="RegistrationConfirmation.jsp"
    * @jpf:validation-error-forward name="failure" path="index.jsp"
    public Forward registerUser(RegisterUserForm register_form)
              usermanager_ctrl.registerUser(register_form, this.getRequest());
              return new Forward( "success", register_form);
    Here is a portion of the code from the JSP that uses this controller
    <netui:form action="registerUser">
    <tr valign="top">
    <td><font color="red"> * </font> User Name:</td>
    <td>
    <netui:textBox dataSource="{actionForm.userName}"/>

    <netui:error value="userName"/>
    </td>
    </tr>
    <tr valign="top">
    <td><font color="red"> * </font> Password:</td>
    <td>
    <netui:textBox dataSource="{actionForm.password}" password="true" />

    <netui:error value="password"/>
    </td>
    </tr>
    <netui:button value="Submit" type="submit"/>
    </netui:form>
    This apparently doesn't display well when posted but I can email to you if you provide me with your email address. Thanks.

  • JSP not executing instead the browser is showing the code

    I have deployed the JSP to Sun One Webserver 6.1.
    In magnus.conf file the following line is present:
    Init fn="load-modules" shlib="/opt/SUNWwbsvr/bin/https/lib/libj2eeplugin.so" shlib_flags="(global|now)"
    Please let me know if I am missing any configuration setting.

    Can you please check if the default-web.xml of the instance (in the config directory) has the following servlet mapping:
    <servlet-mapping>
    <servlet-name>jsp</servlet-name>
    <url-pattern>*.jsp</url-pattern>
    </servlet-mapping>

  • IPhoto not responding - URGENT HELP PLEASE

    Hi,
    I've been workinhg in iPhoto for a few hours. I was about to close it down but it wouldn't shutdown or minimise. and I accidently hit SHARE and it is stuck on the window for sharing Slideshows to iTunes but it won't let me do anything. I click the mouse on something and I just get the "unresponsive" sound
    If I force quit, will I lose I been doing today or will it have autosaved up to some point?

    iPhoto does save much of what it does as it goes along. Since it was trying to share when the freeze occurred I don't think force quitting will lose your earlier work. On the other hand, you probably will have no alternative. It probably won't come out of the freeze by itself.
    Force quit and reopen iPhoto. If there are some issues try the following: launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys depressed and follow the instructions to rebuild the library. Select the last three options.
