JSP not finding Taglib

hi all,
i am using forte 2.0 ce, BEA's weblogic, and custom tags in JSP (for intranet site). i get an error each time i try to compile that says cant open TLD descriptor. ive followed several threads here in this forum to no avail. im convinced everything is in the right place. has anyone out there used Weblogic and encountered the same problem? any additonial areas i should check?

Have tried asking/searching this in Bea weblogic JSP newsgroup ?

  • Jdev 10.1.3.0.4 jsp 2.0 taglib support

    hi,
i am trying to use ZK jsp tag library(zkoss.org) for a project. ZK taglib needs jsp2.0 support. i have create a web project with jsp2.0 and servlet2.4.
then i install taglib to the project and put required libraries under web-inf/lib.
here is a simple jsp: (just imports taglib)
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
    <%@ page contentType="text/html;charset=UTF-8"%>
    <%@ taglib uri="http://www.zkoss.org/dsp/web/core" prefix="zkjsp-functions"%>
    <%@ taglib uri="http://www.zkoss.org/jsp/zul" prefix="zuljsp"%>
    <html>
    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8"/>
    <title>Hello ZK World</title>
    </head>
    <body></body>
    </html>
when i rebuild the project i get:
Error(4): Invalid body-content value in TLD: SCRİPTLESS.
Error(5): Invalid body-content value in TLD: SCRİPTLESS.
Error(5): "http://www.zkoss.org/jsp/zul" is not a registered TLD namespace
    am i missing something?
does jdeveloper 10g really supports jsp2.0 taglibs?
    regards, Engin.

    hi,
jsp tag library definitions exist both at global jsp tag libs and project tag libs.
my pc regional setting are turkish. i have changed then to english. then the error changed to:
Error(4): Invalid body-content value in TLD: NONE.
Error(5): Invalid body-content value in TLD: NONE.
i guess the taglib file contains none value while its schema definition does not allow this? could it be the reason for last error? i found some none values at tld file.
    regards, engin.

  • Could not find Factory: javax.faces.context.FacesContextFactory

I'm trying to start a new JSF with facelets app from scratch using JSF 1.2.06 on Tomcat 6.0.10 but I can't even get the app to start.

I've seen a few contradictory pieces of advice on how to resolve but none seem very promising.
What are the basic requirements for a JSF 1.2 application, especially regarding entries required in web.xml and faces-config.xml? I don't see this clearly documented anywhere on Sun's JSF site.
    Thanks!

I think I found the reason for this problem.
I should have also mentioned that my app contained a welcome page (index.jsp) that contained only a forward to my Facelet-based home page via:
    <jsp:forward page="pages/stm/StmHome.jsf" />
My home page was named: StmHome.xhtml
I mapped the FacesServlet to handle all requests with a *.jsf extension
But I set the javax.faces.DEFAULT_SUFFIX context parameter to: .xhtml
When I changed the value for the forward tag in the index.jsp to "StmHome.xhtml" the app started ok and the home page displayed without error.
So it looks like this problem was caused by a mismatch between the value I set for the javax.faces.DEFAULT_SUFFIX context parameter and the value I set for the URL pattern in the FacesServlet mapping, correct ?
Which brings me to my next question: should the values for the javax.faces.DEFAULT_SUFFIX and the FacesServlet URL pattern always match?
    Thanks!

  • Can not start WebLogic in Eclipse. Error: "Could not find the main class."

I have installed Eclipse 2.0 and WebLogic Server 6.1. and the WebLogc plug in from GENUITEC (and jdk1.3.1_04, on Win2K Server). After I have done the configuration, the WebLogic start/stop buttons are integried into the Eclipse Toolbar, but when I click on the start button to start Weblogic, it pops up a dialog box "Java Virtual Machine Launcher" with message: "Could not find the main class. Program will exit!"
Starting WebLogc Server from the Start panel works fine.
Does any one have seen this before or have a suggestion what I should do?
    Many many thanks in advance.
    Huan

Weblogic must be started with a full JDK; otherwise
JSPs and dynamic EJB stubs could not be deployed. The
    error message
indicates you are attempting to use a JRE. Configure
Eclipse JRE to point to a JDK. The product
documentation will help you with this process. It does not work for me. :-(
I have tried JDK 1.3.1 and 1.4.1: same result: I get a "Could not find the main class: Program will exit"

  • An error has occurred: Could not find the document.

I get the "An error has occurred: Could not find the document." error when trying to open a URL using OpenDocument.  The URL is as follows:
    http://:<myserver>8080/BOE/OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?iDocID=AZjCUhaL3c9Is.YxtGMc7K4&sIDType=CUID
I am certain the value of iDocID is correct, and I am also certain that I can get an OpenDocument to work on the server.  In fact, I tried the same URL using a different iDocID for a Webi report in a different folder, and it works.  For some reason, it appears as though the report in this folder won't open though.
Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.  I've been working on this for a couple of days an am completely stumped.  Also, I'm relatively new to Business Objects.  Is there a log file that I can view that might give me more details regarding the error?
Thanks in advance for your help!

May be that the user who is accessing the report does not have sufficient rights to view it.
Check whether you are able to view the document as an administrator.

  • Java server page compiler can not find a class defined in a java bean file

I have a jsp file using java bean. The java bean class file is uploaded into the server and also the directory to this java bean .class file is included in the Unix environment CLASSPATH. This .jsp file is registered and should be compiled and excecuted automatically.
WHen I try to invoke this .jsp file, the jsp compiler error, saying the class defined by java bean can not be found. I already include this path in teh CLASSPATH, I thought the jsp compiler will go to the right place according to CLASSPATH to find the referenced class.
Can anyone tell me what I have done wrong or what should I do in order to allow jsp compiler to find the class refrenced by .jsp file and defined by java bean file?
    Thank you so much

    hello friends,
i am also facing the same problem of not finding bean class files for both jsp and servlet though it is placed in same package. the problem of not finding bean class file for jsp is experienced in Tomcat server only whereas in Blazix, there is no such error and the file is compiled and runs successfully.
i have checked Tomcat properly. there is no error in its configuration also servlets without the use of bean files run successfully. so please can anybody guide me about what is the problem and how to solve it. plz its urgent .

  • Human Task JSPs not deploying on SOA 10.1.3.1 production

    Hi All,
I am trying to use a custom JSP for a Human Task on SOA Suite 10.1.3.1 & JDev 10.1.3.1. It seems that the JSPs are not being deployed, or they are being deployed in the wrong place.
The error I get in the Worklist application, when I try to view a task is:
The requested URL /default/FridayMorning/1.0/HumanTask1/HumanTask1.jsp was not found on this server.
I have tried this on multiple SOA Suite server machines, one with only one domain, and one with multiple domains, and have also tried developing the project on different JDevelopers on different machines, with the same result.
I could not find the JSP registered anywhere on the AS Control. I understand they are meant to be deployed under orabpel?
The BPEL Suitcase does not contain any jsp files, and in the output directory, there is a .jsps folder which contains the java and class files that relate to the JSPs.
    To recreate:
    Open JDev
    Create a new application
    Create a new BPEL project
Drop a Human Task into the process
    Give it a name
Click on the magic wand to define the task
    Give it a name
Click on the + to add a parameter, select the payload of inputVariable
Click on the + to add someone to route to, pick a user
    Save
    Close Human Task
    Save process
In the Applications Navigator, expand the project, right click on the HumanTask folder and select Auto Generate Simple Task Form
    Save all
    Build all
    Deploy to BPEL server
Go to BPEL console, start the process
Go to BPEL worklist, select the task
    The error appears.
We have also tried using custom JSPs (instead of simple ones).
Also, I noticed that if you delete task form files from the popup menu, and then regenerate them, you only get the .tform file, no JSPs are generated.
Can anyone else verify this happens to them?
    Thanks,
    Mark Nelson

OCMS stands for Oracle Communication and Mobility Server and is basically a SIP Container embedded as a hook into OC4J 10.1.3.1. I'm using JDK 1.5.0_12-b04. Wondering if there's any other way to check configuration of the JSP compiler.
    Thanks for your help,

  • How does the JSP container resolve taglib URI

My application uses JSPs which have taglibs. The taglibs use absolute URIs(http://java.sun.com/jstl/core). I noticed that if the JAR which would resolve this taglib, which is standard.jar, were to be placed in the <domain>/lib folder, the application would not be able to resolve it. If i packaged the JAR with the taglib definitions in the WEB-INF/lib folder of the WAR file, the application worked fine. Any clues on if this is expected behaviour? I have some other taglibs which refer to http://java.sun.com/jsf/html and jsf/core - these seem to be resolved fine by placing the jsf-impl.jar in the <domain>/lib folder.
              Thanks
              Ramdas

    hello,
unfortunatly it is not quite clear what type of security you want to achieve ...
    a) either securing the report for unauthorized running against different data
    or
    b) securing the stream between the server and the client using HTPPS
for case a) you will have to code the logic into the report so a user can only run the report against his data.
neither HTTPS nor the CGICMD.DAT can help you in this case. you could even use the row-level-security option of the database to achieve that.
