  • File Not found error when calling Form Post Method to a JSP from JSP Portlet

    I have built a set of JSP forms using post method to call other JSPs. Normally, the code looks like
    <form name="MyForm" action="MyJsp.jsp" method="post">
    I migrated the calling form containing this code to a portlet, but not the MyJsp.jsp. When I submit the form, I get a file not found in Jserv.log
    Exception:javax.servlet.ServletException: java.io.FileNotFoundException: D:\servlet\RegisterCompany.jsp (The system cannot find the file specified)
    [14/06/2001 13:59:59:679 PDT] JspServlet: unable to dispatch to requested page: Exception:javax.servlet.ServletException: java.io.FileNotFoundException: d:\oracle\isuites\apache\apache\MyJsp.jsp (The system cannot find the file specified)
    I notice that launching the calling jsp from a portlet, my opriginal context that uses ../Apache/Apache/htdocs is not being searched for the JSp. Why is this? Moreover, I try to set up an Alias in httpd.conf file to the this director and use it with the jsp in the action tag, but still get an error that my jsp servlets/Myjsp can't be found. Why is it insiting on looking at servlets context instead of htdocs.
    I have none of these issues outside of Portal30 using IAS.
    regard

    Initially, I couldn't do this unless I moved tghe jsp's up to the root directory of IAS, i.e ../Apache/Apache. Nomrally, htdocs is my doc directory for IAS. I could not do http:\\myUrl\htdocs\myJsp. If I tgried this, I got an error in Apache error logg that said can't find file ..\htdocs\htdocs\MyJsp.jsp.
    If I just tried the the URL http:\\myUrl\MyJsp.jsp with Jsp file in htdocs, I would get an error in the Jserve log that file d:\oracle\isuites\apache\apache\MyJsp.jsp could not be found. Once I moved the file MyJsp to Apache/Apache directory, it could be found using http:\\myUrl\MyJsp.jsp. Later, I delted these files and kept the ones in htdocs and they continued to work.
    I'm confused why launching pages through portal isn't consistant with Apache Standards. Where is the documentation that tells me how to configure context and aliases for pages launched from portal pages?

  • Newbie :  JSP session problem after reload with IE refresh button.

    Hi,
    I had an issue with JSP reloading using tomcat 4.* and IE.
    I have a jsp1.jsp is opened in two different IE windows(one by one). Once i refreshed using IE refresh button from the first window, its loaded with second windows session details. Its changess whole http request object with second window.
    Am not sure , why its happening ? Could anybody shed light on this ?
    Thanks and Regards
    PV

    Hello,
    No, am not saving any form details . But i noticed session id is changing completely for the first window once i loads frame on the second window.
    javascript:alert(document.cookie) Above scriptlet (IE address bar) returns session id from the second window rather than current window without refreshing, that means, its removed whole request completely or somehow manipulated previous sessions. Can anybody explain this behaviour ?
    Thanks

  • HTTP POST method does not pass parameters to the server

    Hi ,
    I am using SSO using VSJ product and implemented using a filter.
    I have problems as below
    1. Every request to the web server will be intercepted by this vsj filter and if sso does not succeed it will send 403
    2. my system will detect 403 in web.xml and redirect to login page
    3. user key in username and password and log in
    4. after successful login set the HttpSession and redirect to homepage
    Problem is subsquent form submit / ajax call using "POST" method cannot pass any parameters to the servers ( parameters sent using POST will be null in the servers )  ? GET is okay
    If i comment out the vsj filter altogether , everything works as per normal.
    My Question is
    1. Is there anyway to overcome come ?
    2. Is there any method to clear off whatever this sso vsj has set ( clear cookies / start new browser instance / etc ) in order to forget the state
    Any idea?
    Thanks

    Yes.
    here to illustrate
    public MyFilter extends VSJAuthFilter
    *public void doFilter(){*
    *if(session.getAttribute("loginSucces") != true){*
    super.doFilter(); //call VSJ Auth filter to perform SSO in order to get User Principal populated.
    *}else{*
    chain.doFilter(); // normal filter
    My Filter only intercepts *.jsp and *.do
    Basically here is the pattern that i observe
    1. If i hit default url (homepage.do) for the first time it will trigger the super.doFilter() , it will then throw 403 and redirect to login.html , after success and go to homepage , subsequent POST parameter is missing
    2. if i hit the external login page directly just to simulate ( eg : login.html ) it wont trigger this filter , after success and go to homepage , subsequenet POST parameter is okay
    3. GET is always ok
    I am using weblogic server 10.x btw
    Thanks

  • JSP: querystring problem

    Hello all!
    I have a problem in obtaining the query string.
    Could you please help me?
    I have an html form with many field (>50) and I need to obtain the query string.
    If I write the jsp and use the command request.getquerystring, I have a error message ("connection close by remote server) even if the desidered string is visualized.
    I suppose this is because there are too many fields in the form.
    does it not exist for the Post method an equivalent of getquerystring?
    The only alternative that I see now is to get the parameters one by one with the request.getParameter, but this will be a very long and tedious procedure. And I have also to add the (&) symbols when I buid by hand the string.
    there are some other solutions?
    many thanks in advance!

  • Re: [iPlanet-JATO] sp3 jsp compiler problem

    Weiguo,
    First, Matt is correct, the regular expression tool is perfect for general text
    substitution situations, and as a completely independent tool its use is not
    restricted to migration situations (or file types for that matter).
    Second, I sympathize with the unfortunate trouble you are experiencing due to
    Jasper's (perhaps more strict) compilation, but in what way did the iMT
    automated translation contribute to these inconsistencies that you cited?
    1. Changed the case of the tag attribute to be the same as what's
    defined in tld.
    example: changed OnClick to onClick
    The iMT does not generate any OnClick or onClick clauses per se. In a
    translation situation, the only way "OnClick" would have been introduced was if
    it had been part of the pre-existing project's "extraHTML" (which was written
    by the original customer and just passed through unchanged by the iMT) or if it
    was added manually by the post-migration developer.
    2. Removed attributes which are not defined in tld.
    example: escape attribute only defined in three tags
    but in some pages, it's used although it's not defined as an
    attribute
    of certain tags. The jasper compiler doesn't like it.Can you give soem examples? Is there a definite pattern? Again, this might be
    similar to the OnClick situation described above?
    3. In an end tag, there can't be any space.
    example: </content > doesn't work. </content> works.
    Again, the content tag would never have been generated by the iMT. There was no
    equivalent in the NetDynamics world, so any content tags in your code must have
    been introduced by your developers manually. Its a shame that jasper is so
    particular, but the iMT could not help you out here even if we wanted to. The
    constants that are used by the iMT are defined in
    com.iplanet.moko.jsp.convert.JspConversionConstants. From what I can see, the
    only situation of a closing tag with any space in it is
    public static final String CLOSE_EMPTY_ELEMENT = " />";
    But that should not cause the type of problem you are referring to.

    Subject: [iPlanet-JATO] sp3 jsp compiler problem
    Matt/Mike/Todd,
    We are trying to migrate to sp3 right now, but have had a lot of
    issues with the new jasper compiler.
    The following workaround has been employed to solve the issues:
    1. Changed the case of the tag attribute to be the same as what's
    defined in tld.
    example: changed OnClick to onClick
    2. Removed attributes which are not defined in tld.

    3. In an end tag, there can't be any space.
    example: </content > doesn't work. </content> works.
    As I see it, we have two options to go about solving this problem:
    1. Write a script which will iterate through all the jsp files and
    call jspc on them. Fix the errors manually when jspc fails. Jspc will
    flag the line number where an error occurs.
    2. Write a utility which scans the jsp files and fix the errors when
    they are encountered. We should define what's an error and how to
    correct it. It's best if we combine this with solution 1 since we
    might miss an error condition.
    Actually, there might be another option, which is seeking help from
    you guys since you have better understanding of JATO and iAS. Can you
    do anything to help us?
    We would be happy to hear your thoughts.
    At last, I would like to suggest modifying the moko tool so that
    these rules are enforced and the generated JSPs work with the new
    compiler. This is for the benefit of any new migration projects.
    Thanks a lot.

    Thanks a lot Matt and Mike for your prompt replies.
    I agree completely that iMT doesn't introduce the inconsistencies.
    About the three cases I mentioned, the third one happens only in
    manually created JSPs. So it has nothing to do with iMT. The first
    two are mainly due to the existing HTML code, as you rightly pointed
    out.
    The reason I made the suggestion is since we know that case 1 and 2
    won't pass the japser compiler in sp3, we have to do something about
    it. The best place to do this, in my mind, is iMT. Of course, there
    might be some twists that make it impossible or difficult to do this
    kind of case manipulation or attribute discard.

  • Trying to Imitate the html POST  method with an applet

    I am trying to imitate the POST method with an applet, so that I can eventually send sound from a microphone to a PHP script which will store it in a file on a server. I am starting out by trying to post a simple line of text by making the PHP script think that it is receiving the text within a POST-ed file. The reason I am doing things this way is in part because I am, for the time being, limited to a shared server without any support for servlets or any other server side java.
    The code I am trying is based in part on an old thread found elsewhere in this forum, concerning sending data to a PHP file by imitating the POST method:
    link:
    http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=530399&messageID=2603608
    someone named "harmmeijer" provided most of the answers on that thread. If that person is still around hope they take a look at this,also I have some questions to clarify what they said on the other thread..
    My first attempt at code is below. The applet is in a signed jar file and is trying to pass a text line to the PHP script in the same directory and on the same server that the applet came from. It is doing this by sending header information that is supposed to be identical to what an html form would send if it was uploading a .txt file with the line of text within it. The applet displays one button. When you press it, it sucessfully starts up the postsim method (defined at the end), which is supposed to send the info to the PHP script at the server.
    I have two questions:
    1) I know that the PHP script is starting up, because it prints out a few messages depending on what happens. However, the script does not recognize any file coming down the line, so it does not save anyting on the server, and prints out a message saying the no file was uploaded.
    Any idea what might be going wrong? I'm not getting any error messages from the applet. I've tried a few different variations of the 'header' information contained in the line:
    osToServer.writeBytes("--****4353\r\nContent-Disposition: form-data; name=\"testfile\"; filename=\"C:testfile.txt\"\r\nContent-Type: text/plain\r\n");
    The commented out line below it shows one variation (which was given in the thread mentioned above).
    2) You'll notice that I've commented out the two lines having to do with the input line:
    //InputStream isFromServer;
    and
    //isFromServer = uc.getInputStream();
    The reason is that the program crahes whenever I put the latter line in - to the extent that Opera closes down the JVM and then crashes when I tried to exit it.. I must be doing something horribly wrong there! I first tried using isFromServer = new DataInputStream(uc.getInputStream());
    becuase it was consistent with the output stream, but that caused the same problem.
    Here's the code:
    public class AudioUptest1 extends Applet{
    //There are a few spurious things defined in this section, having to do with the fact the microphone data is evenuatly going to be sent. haven't yet insterted code to get input from a microphone.
    AudioFormat audioFormat;
    TargetDataLine targetDataLine;
    SourceDataLine sourceDataLine;
    DataOutputStream osToServer;
    //InputStream isFromServer;
    URLConnection uc;
    final JButton captureBtn = new JButton("Capture");
    final JPanel btnPanel = new JPanel();
    public void init(){
    System.out.println("Started the applet");
    try
    URL url = new URL( "http://www.mywebsite.com/handleapplet.php" );
    uc = url.openConnection();
    //Post multipart data
    uc.setDoOutput(true);
    uc.setDoInput(true);
    uc.setUseCaches(false);
    //set request headers
    uc.setRequestProperty("Connection", "Keep-Alive");
    uc.setRequestProperty("HTTP_REFERER", "http://applet.getcodebase");
    uc.setRequestProperty("Content-Type","multipart/form-data; boundary=****4353");
    osToServer = new DataOutputStream(uc.getOutputStream());
    //isFromServer = uc.getInputStream();
    catch(IOException e)
    System.out.println ("Error etc. etc.");
    return;
    //Start of GUI stuff
    captureBtn.setEnabled(true);
    //Register listeners
    captureBtn.addActionListener(

    select a file from the same. The JFileChooser class
    from Swing is what I used in my applet. The problem
    is with the policy file. I am not able to trace the
    exact way to write a policy file which gives a total
    access to read,write,delete,execute on all the drives
    of the local hard disk.
    I am successful in signing the applets and performing
    operations : read,write,delete & execute on a single
    file but failing to grant permission for the entire
    file.
    Any help would be highly appreciated.Which policy file are you using? there might be more than one policy file.
    also, u have to specify the alias of the signed certificate in the policy file to grant the necessary priviledges to the signed applet.

  • How to use the POST method In Oracle APEX 3.1

    Hi,
    In APEX if we are submitting the page the parameters( Variables ) will pass through URL.
    How to hide the these parameters from URL??
    I Hope POST method will solve this problem.
    How to use the POST method in APEX???
    Help me out to solve this problem.
    thanks in advance.
    Cheers,
    Shan

    In APEX if we are submitting the page the parameters( Variables ) will pass through URL.No they won't. Submission POSTs the <tt>wwv_flow</tt> form.
    Sometimes a branch may be performed after submission, generating a URL in which parameter values are visible. To avoid this, use the save state before branching option.
    Other actions&mdash;like using navigation lists, or clicking a link in a report&mdash;will perform a GET using parameters in the URL. In these cases using Session State Protection is advised.

  • Calling https web service POST method from ABAP

    Hi all,
    I'm having some problems trying to call a credit card https web service from ABAP on 2004s SP11. I'm not using a proxy server and a call from a test https page on my local machine works fine. The page does not require a certificate.
    Do I need to do anything in particular to make https work ? I've done calls to http services without any problems. The only difference from a programming perspective as far as I know is the scheme 2 instead of 1, and the server protocol changed to HTTPS.
    All is fine until  I call method http_client->receive, at that point I get a return code of 1, http_communication_failure.
    Your suggestions & contributions will be greatly appreciated.
    Cheers,
    Wouter.

    Well, finally got this running !
    First of all I needed to download SAP Cryptographic Software and install it on the Web Application Server. Added some parameters to the profile, then set up some nodes in strust. Note 510007 describes the full process.
    I then installed the certifcate I needed by opening the website in internet explorer and exporting it to a CER file and then importing it into the SSL client (Anonymous). The blog from Thomas Yung, "BSP a Developer's Journal Part XIV - Consuming WebServices with ABAP" describes the process of exporting and importing certificates.
    I then had to start the HTTPS service on my NW 2004s ABAP preview edition SP11. I set this up for port 443.
    /osmicm --> GOTO --> SERVICES --> SERVICE --> CREATE
    Then finally, the program needed a few changes :
      call method cl_http_client=>create
        exporting
          host          = 'api.somewhere.com'
          service       = '443'                       " <<-----  443 NOT 80
          scheme        = '2'                        "https
          ssl_id        = 'ANONYM'              " <<----- SSL_ID Added
          proxy_host    = wf_proxy
          proxy_service = wf_port
        importing
          client        = http_client.
    and further in the program (thanks Andrew !) :
      call method http_client->request->set_header_field
        exporting
    *   name  = '~server_protocol'             " <<<--- DELETE
          name  = '~request_protocol'         " <<<-- INSERT must be request
          value = 'HTTPS/1.0'.
    and presto, we can now consume a https webservice via a POST method from within an ABAP program ! Nice.... Can I give myself 10 points ?

  • How to send recomposed data in post method.

    Currently, i try to build up MVC user authentication. I used login.html as View, servletA as controller to invoked Model and servletB as Model. The servletB will return queried result to servletA then servletA will decide redirected to specific url.
    I has successful use the RequestDispatcher.forward(request, response) to post data from servletA to servletB. whereas i faced a trouble to post data back from servletB to servletA, which i unable put the queried result into request obj before post it back to servletA.
    Any genius recommendation about this? or Any method composed data to send via post method?

    Here's a quick rundown that might help:
    Use request.setAttribute() to put an item in request scope in a servlet before dispatching to another servlet or JSP.
    Use <useBean> tag in a JSP to read the data on the JSP that the servlet put in request scope.
    Alternatively, you can use request.getAttribute(), but the useBean is preferred.
    Use request.getParameter() in a servlet to read data that the <form> tag on the JSP page put in request scope.
    Use request.setAttribute() and request.getAttribute() to get send/get data between servlets (it could be request.getParameter(), but I dont think so).
    There is a RequestDispatcher.forward() and a RequestDispatcher.include(). I'm not sure what the differences are (you'll have to research it.
    In MVC, I have a single servlet for the controller (receive all url's, and dispatch to the appropriate JSP). I dont hava a separate servlet for the model. Instead, I instansiate a business object on the servlet, pass data to it, and let it do the calcuations. Then I have it return the data to the servlet which puts it in request scope for the JSP page when I dispatch to it. My MVC usuallyconsists of:
    JSP -presentation layer
    servlet - control layer
    business logic layer
    database layer (DAO).
    Each layer does not contain the functionality of one of the other layers (clean separation of concerns).
    Last note: Whereas you can use a servlet for the controller, a framework such as Spring or Struts is often used instead.

  • Redirect page with POST method in JSTL

    how to redirect page with POST method in JSTL.
    below is the code that i make, but the page redirected with GET method,
    so, the URL shown as http://localhost:8080/tes2/coba2.jsp?nama=saya
    how to hide the parameter, so it didn't show at the URL..??
    anybody help me..??
    server1 -> coba1.jsp
    <%@ taglib prefix="c" uri="http://java.sun.com/jstl/core" %>
    <html>
    <head>
    <title>coba1</title>
    </head>
    <body>
    <c:url value="http://localhost:8080/tes2/coba2.jsp" var="displayURL">
      <c:param name="nama" value="saya"/>
    </c:url>
    <c:redirect url="${displayURL}"/>
    </body>
    </html>server2->coba2.jsp
    <%@ taglib uri="http://java.sun.com/jstl/core" prefix="c" %>
    <html>
    <head>
    <title>coba2</title>
    </head>
    <body>
    <c:forEach items="${param}" var="currentParam">
            <li><c:out value="${currentParam.key}" />
                = <c:out value="${currentParam.value}" /></li>
          </c:forEach>
    </body>
    </html>

    There are other two way communications methods as well. One such would be:
    Server1Page1: Take response with parameters.  Use HttpURLConnection to make a request to DataInputServlet
                  on Server2 and send the parameters there with a POST operation
    Server2DataInputServer: Takes request with data in it and starts a new session.  Puts the data into the session and
                  returns the session id to the requester
    Server1Page1: Reads the response from the DataInputServer (the session id) and generates a sendRedirect to
                  Server2's display page using the session id.  Server1Page1 is now done.
    Server2Page1: Gets a request from the client with the session id, and pulls the parameters out of the session.  Then
                  can continue as normal.Server2Page1 can also do a quick refresh to itself not using the session id as well, which will keep the URL visible by the client relatively clean.

    what about posting the error message??
    this might be more helpful - especially cause I don't know the package "neiPack"...
    when will the exceptions be thrown? while compilation (if the code sample is your original there the source won't compile without error messages) or while execution ouf your app?
    please have a look at the "special tokens" page (http://forum.java.sun.com/faq.jsp#format) before posting further code examples...

  • Servlet Reloading Problem!

    JSP + Bean is OK!
    But, Servlet + Bean occur a reloading problem.(Reloading does not happen)
    For example,
    1) TestClass.java (Bean)
    public class TestClass {
    private String txt;
    public TestClass() {
    txt = "Test!!"; ---(1)
    public String getTxt() {
    return txt;
    2) Test.java (Servlet)
    public class Test extends HttpServlet {
    public void service(HttpServletRequest req, HttpServletResponse res) throws ServletException, IOException {
    TestClass testClass = new TestClass();
    PrintWriter out = res.getWriter();
    out.println(testClass.getTxt());
    In above examples, though I change txt String(number (1)) Bean reloading does not occur. So old txt String shows.
    In Tomcat, such problem does not happen.
    Is this a problem of OC4J?
    Thanks.
    null

    Well, only servlets are supposed to be reloaded, not their dependent classes.
    If you are using Tomcat 4.x, then there might be an explanation. It seems that Tomcat 4.x will simply reload the entire web app context if it detects that a servlet (not a JSP!) has changed. Just define a servlet context listener to see that.

  • Exchange rate posting method - Incorrect !

    Dear all,
    One of our installations was setup with an incorrect exchg rate posting method. It should have been set as direct, but is set as indirect instead.
    However, over the past three month, no transactions have been posted in the system using any foreign currency.
    Having said so, there are still volume transactions since the past three months mainly involving AR, AP, Payments and JE's.
    AR / AP with FX will start soon, and we want this posting method to be fixed. I am aware that since the transactions have been posted, this setting cannot be reversed.
    I would like all of you out there to share your thoughts with me, as to how we can tackle this problem. The only two solutions, that come to my mind are -
    1. Use the backup of initial settings and import all transactions using DTW (lest importing does not have any impact)
    2. Changing the DirectRate field in the OADM table from N to Y. Again, I am not sure, what would be the impact of this.
    Looking forward to hearing from you all,
    Cheers.

    Hi Somchitra,
    The 1st option is right for you.  It is indeed lots of output and DTW to do but it is necessary.
    The 2nd way is direct update B1 database. That is very risky thing to do.  You should never try to update through SQL command.  You may loose support from SAP.
    Thanks,
    Gordon
