Newbie : JSP session problem after reload with IE refresh button.

Hi,
I had an issue with JSP reloading using tomcat 4.* and IE.
I have a jsp1.jsp is opened in two different IE windows(one by one). Once i refreshed using IE refresh button from the first window, its loaded with second windows session details. Its changess whole http request object with second window.
Am not sure , why its happening ? Could anybody shed light on this ?

No, am not saving any form details . But i noticed session id is changing completely for the first window once i loads frame on the second window.
javascript:alert(document.cookie) Above scriptlet (IE address bar) returns session id from the second window rather than current window without refreshing, that means, its removed whole request completely or somehow manipulated previous sessions. Can anybody explain this behaviour ?

We have seen that there are a feature that recover the PPPoE sessions closed in one side and up in the other. This feature is called 'PPPoE Session Recovery After Reload '.
In the feature navigator, we can see that this feature is available for 7200 series. It seems not available for 10000.

PPP PADT messages are not sent by a PPPoX PTA router to a client when the PPPoX user is no longer connected to the PPPoX PTA router.

This issue can occur when a Cisco 10000 Series router is used as a PPPoX PTA router, and there has been a network flap causing the PPPoX users to lose their connections. PPPoE will experience this issue when BBA Groups are in use. VPDN Group configuration does not support this feature.
There are no known workarounds.
We have tested the IOS 12.3(7)XI6, but the router (10000) doesn't send the PADT (auto cleanup). In 7200, it works correctly.
Anyone have has this problem?

I checked it using feature navigator and noticed that cisco 10000 doesn't support ""PPPoE Session Recovery After Reload"" feature.

I've been struggling with mine all morning with the same issue.
Mine would not wake up from sleep (will just white screen).
It will boot using a hard reset (i.e. the power button and volume down button being held down for 8 or so secs). I restored and synced it multiple times but it still has a problem waking up and just just goes to white screen.
I saw a post suggesting a loose connection which I had my doubts about (as it will wake with hard reset) - bit BINGO! If I wake mine (with index finger) whilst applying pressure to the top of the screen area (with my thumbs) it will wake up. When I become frustrated enough I'll take it apart and see if something has become loose.

I would like to store session type information, ie client_id in a session object and be able to retrieve its value from any of my jsp pages.
Is there a jsp tag or some other JDev component that I should be using?

JSP Session problem in HTML frames????

Hi everybody;
I have a problem with session I think. My index page is created with 4 diffrent jsp's in 4 diffrent frames.After a while lets say 15 minutes when my session is expired.When I click one of my button ..The frames which linked with that button is show Http 500 error page.When I refreshes the web page they all gone.(and my web page goes normal again)
I want to ask you how can I handle this problem.How can I solve this error page showing and stop showing that error page instead of in each frame,to refresh the index page again??

The first step is to decide whether 15 minutes is a suitable timeout for sessions.
If it isn't then simply increase it in web.xml. You may also decide that session persistence is worth enabling (if your Servlet container supports it).
If it's not then your pages will need to handle a null (or at least new) session slightly more elegantly. You're probably just getting a null pointer exception because something your pages is relying on is missing (a session attribute of some sort). Sometimes it's sufficient just to redirect the topmost window to the index page - not the greatest user experience in the world but at least consistent.

IPod problems after Flashing with 1.1.1

I downloaded and flashed my iPod with the 1.1.1 updater and went as far as to completey wipe the iPod and reload everything. I did this and the iPod has been working fine. Well I got some new songs the other day and went to plug the iPod into the USB port. The computer proceded to ding several times as if I had plugged in then uplugged the device several times. While this was happening the iPod would go from "Do Not Dissconect" to the main menu and back, until finally it stops at "Do Not Disconnect". The computer never recognizes the iPod and finally I have to disonnect the iPod, I know that's bad.
After that the iPod will either be stuck in "Do Not Disconnect" until it dies or will "seem" fine for a while but freeze doing something until it dies. I also noticed in one instance it seemed fine, but I noticed that the Play/Stop/Pause icon in the top left of the screen was not there. It finally froze playing a video and I had to wait until it died.
Incidentaly, if I do wait untill it dies, it really does reset and works fine, I can even charge it with the car charger. Also, this happens no matter which of my 4 computers I try to use.
I would just re-flash it with the origional firmware, but I won't be able to do that untill I can get a computer to recognize the iPod.

Try backdating to iPod Updater 2006-01-10 (1.1 for Nano) and restoring with that updater. If you're having problems getting the iPod to be recognized by the updater, put it into disk mode first.

Mac Pro 3,1 with 5770 problems after sleep with Lion

Hi,
with 10.7.3 there was a fix for older iMacs with the same issue on an HD 2600 but my mac Pro with the 5770 has the same problem.
Is the Mac Pro user less important for Apple?
My card works fine afer restart. No issues and performance problems (cinebench scores 37fps) but when i sleep my mac and then wake it up all graphic UI things are creepy. There are laggy animations and so on and the speed in Aperture is decreased to a minimum. Cinebench scores after wake up only 16fps.
I bought the card to INCREASE my speed (formerly i have had the HD 2600 built in) and for now, my 249€ is spent for nothing. I dont want to restart my Mac everyday.

So, i have set up a completely new system with all updates to 10.7.4 and the problem already exists.
I am not sure, if this was a problem with Lion or with the ATI 5770

Jsp session problem when more than one user is loging from the same machine

Hi everybody,
I have created a login page and i use to store user name and password using sessions. It is working fine for one user from one machine. But if two or more users logged from the same machine, all the users are getting the same data as of the last user logged in. Also if one user is logged out all user sessions on that machine are expiring (same as previous YAHOO problem).
i think there is problem with session variables. The user name and password which i am storing in session variables are updating the same variables for all users. I think a seperate set of session variables are not creating for each user login.
Can any body help me plz....

First, you need to clear any cookies you are setting.
Second, you need to synchronize some key data fetching blocks in your servlet.
Third, ensure that you are invalidating a session properly.
Don't ask me for more details. Google around for information ;)

Problem after iOS5 with pairing iPhone with Car

I have a Lexus is250 which paired beautifully with my iPhone and I was able to play music from phone in my car. Since the upgrade, I cannot. I have "repaired" "Blue tooth audio", the radio in car "looks" like it is playing (you can use the controls on the car stereo to forward through playlist and it forwards on phone" but no sound comes out. This worked perfectly fine before iOS. Any ideas? I've deleted and re-paired phone twice....

Same problem here with a 2011 Subaru Outback/Harman Kardon sound system. My iPhone 3GS used to work very well and auto-connect with the Harman Kardon system under iOS 4, but after upgrading to iOS 5 the iPhone looses connectivity each time I power the iPhone off and back on. It will keep connectivity as long as I do not do this. Turning the car off and back on works fine, connectivity re-establishes immediately. I even reset my iPhone and re-installed firmware and everything else - problem persists. SHAME ON APPLE FOR LOOSING CORE FUNCTIONALITY IN FAVOR OF BRINGING IN LOTS OF GIMMICS THAT ARE OF LITTLE OR NO USE IN EVERYDAY LIFE. SHAME ON APPLE ALSO FOR NOT PROPERLY BETA-TESTING THEIR SOFTWARE AND MAINTAINING BACKWARD-COMPATIBILITY IF THAT IS THE PROBLEM. We users should be entilted to monetary compensation from Apple whenever a software "upgrade" negatively affects a core functionality. Tim Cook, please correct some of the flawed corporate policies the belated Steve Jobs implemented. Apple still has a lot of room for improving! First of all, focus on optimizing core functionalities and their robustness before wasting time on changing icons or other cosmetic features.

SO many problems after complications with OSX Mavericks

A couple of months ago I decided to download OS X Mavericks on my Macbook Pro and somehow it went wrong. After the download, it would restart every time I logged onto my user! Thanks to some awesome people on here, I fixed that problem Except for the fact that I lost everything on my laptop… After all of that things have went wrong with my laptop. My CD Rom is not working! It will keep the CD for about 30 seconds, then spit it out without even reading it! Also, Garage Band (I think that is what it is called…) and iMovie just disappeared from my applications! Anyone know how to fix these problems?! Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Take it in for service. In the US or Canada: make a Genius Appointment.
Applications do not "just disappear." You may move them accidentally (search using Spotlight.) If you actually did delete them then you can re-download them using the App Store.

10.4.9 - Problems after Sleep with Logitech Mouse

Hi there -
since installing 10.4.9 I'm having problems with my Logitech Mouse after waking up my iMac G5 from Sleep.
The mouse will behave erratically, almost as if buttons are continually being pressed. For example, if I click any items in the Menu Bar then it behaves as if I immediately clicked again.
This weird behavior will continue until I hit the Apple or Command keys on the keyboard, after that all is fine.
I'm using the LCC drivers 2.1.3 and under 10.4.8 all was fine.

I had something similar happen with my Mighty Mouse after the last security update. One of the switch started misbehaving immediately after the update. I took the mouse into the Apple store and discovered that is was a problem with the mouse and not the update because it did the same thing on their Mac.
Have you tried the mouse on another system to be sure it is not a problem with the mouse?

Alarm clock problem after Sync with N73

I have a problem with the alarm clock in my N73 (RM-133). From the moment on I had my phone synchronized with Outlook via Nokia PC Suite, the alarm clock fails to start the phone from power-off state - it switches on, and then the software crashes. A working alarm clock can only be restored by formatting the phone with *#7370# and therefore losing all settings and data.
Another thing that can be seen is that, after a Sync, if I set the alarm clock, turn off the phone, immediately turn it on again, the alarm clock is still set to its time, but the alarm symbol (the little bell) is no longer displayed.
I have absolutely no idea what the reason may be. It can not be incompatible installed apps, as the problem also occurs after a total reset without changing any setting in the phone. I have already once changed my hardware on warranty. I am always using the latest (unbranded original Nokia) FW available, same goes for PC Suite. Any ideas?

Oj, just relax and buy another phone, that's exactly what Nokia wants! I did so after 3 times sending back my N73 for various defects (keys, display, camera), then took a E65 for 2 years (which is far better, but not perfect, worked after 1 time exchange with a faulty SIM card reader), now I have a N82 which I had to exchange 6 (six) times for not having several stuck keys, scratches on the display, dust inside the display. This N82 now "only" makes strange noises when pressing keys like double-sided adhesive tape not properly fixed. Nokia knows about that problem (asked today in a shop). They fix it, but can't guarantee it getting better.
So... just sit back, relax, and throw all your expectations about quality from Nokia over board, learn how to be happy for getting some (mostly useless) answer from the support at all, and never think you could get a masterpiece of a working phone from Nokia if you pay them 'only' 400 bucks.

When I try to sign in to Yahoo or Flickr I get a message saying: "Firefox prevented this page from automatically reloading" with an allow button - when I press the allow button I just get the same message again. Anyone having the same problem?

I have tried clearing the cache, allowing pop-ups from Flickr and Yahoo and all pop-ups but Firefox will not allow the sign-in page to load. Is it a virus? It doesn't seem to affect any other website, including hotmail. I have tried other browsers and they don't want to load Yahoo and Flickr either. Any suggestions gratefully received. I'm using Windows with Firefox 4 on a Toshiba laptop.
