JTAPI hang up call

Hi all,
I am trying to hang up a call on an IP Phone using JTAPI. I've tried to use connection.disconnect, however after disconnecting the call it lets the line open and beeping. Is there a way, without using an xml push, to hang up 'totally'?

Isn't that how things work on a CCM? The continuing to beep (I'm not a 100% sure you can reconfigure that) seems to be a standard for Cisco (and various SIP phones for that matter), whereas other PBXes take the device on hook after a few beeps.
There's also Call.drop() though I've never used it.
Even on the Alcatel systems I work with.. when I drop a call via CTI, the device plays the busy/reorder tone (as you know in Switzerland they're both the same ;) for a few seconds, and then goes on hook (and that behavior is a standard feature for this PBX).

Rezound hangs up call when I try to get screen to turn on while in call

I am having a couple of issues that are really driving me nuts on my phone. The number 1 issue and it became an issue with the ICS upgrade is that when I am in a call, my screen goes dark, like normal, however I cannot for the life of me get back to the in call screen. The only button that does anything is the power button and when I push it, it takes me back to the in call screen and then promptly hangs the call up. Does anyone know of anything I can do to change this from happening?
The other issue and once again this started happening after the ICS upgrade, is that when I wake my phone up it arbitrarily picks a website to open to instead of opening directly to the home screen. Just infuriating!
The call issue is huge though because I am doing a lot of business calls from my phone and without a way to get my screen to turn on in call is not acceptable.

It's a proximity sensor calibration issue. Unfortunately, with a stock device, there is nothing you can do to fix it. Cap customer support and have them do a warranty exchange.

E71 Hangs During Call Reception

I purchased my Nokia E-71 about three months ago. I expected this phone to be up to par since it is considered an "Enterprise" phone. This my second firmware upgrade. My phone's current version is 200.21.118. To my surprise it hangs during call reception. It totally freezes; even the red power on/off button is not functional. The only resort is to unplug the battery and plug it back on. It's very exasperating to lose a business call, especially if it was an international one.
I call on Nokia to listen and pay attention to their customers and be responsible before it get deserted.

With regards your problem, if it only started after the update then it is most probably a software issue which we would hope to help you resolve. We just have to go through a process of elimination, starting with the most likely and least disruptive. Whatever you do, always remember to backup your data just in case.

Berkeley DB JE is getting hanged while calling environment sync method.

I am developing an application in Java and I am using JE edition of Berkeley. I am facing an issue, during shutdown operation I am calling syn method of EntityStore class and Environment class.
The EntityStore.sync() is getting completed but during executing of Environment.sync() the control is not coming out of this statement. Below is the code that I am using to perform sync operation.

During my unit testing I was changing system date and perfoming some db operation. While I during down the application the the above code gets executed but the system is getting hanged and control is not coming out of Environment sync method call. Can some one tell why the sync is causing the system to hang.

Is there a way to hang up call without using the touchscreen?

I'm using an HP Veer 4G. In the wintertime, when I need to wear gloves, I'm wondering how I will handle calls without using the touchscreen.
I've figured out most of the process: hold down the volume down button for a couple of seconds to load the Voice Dial app, then speak the name of the person I want (which has worked flawlessly for me so far!) and then I'm connected.
The problem I'm having is how to hang up without using the touchscreen. If someone answers the call, that's no problem because I can just wait for them to hang up. But if I get their voicemail then what? I thought I'd be clever and use my nose, but the sensors black the screen out so that doesn't work. How are people ending calls without taking their gloves off?

HP has logged this in its software issue tracking system. We endeavor to continuously improve our software quality and thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are grateful to the community and will evaluate options based on customer feedback and software best practices.
In mean time, there is a patch in the homebrew community that allows closing the slider to drop calls and can check more into that via precentral.net

Thread hang during call EJB 3.0 with Weblogic 10.3 (Urgent)

We have a java client application call Weblogic Appserver 10.3, EJB 3.0 Service. Occasionally, client application, some step will get hang when try to invoking EJB. When we restart the application server and re-run the client application, it may work or hang on any other step. (Totally, we have around 40 steps to invoking EJB service)
We did check Google and find similar issue happen on the IBM Websphere appserver. They post a patch to fix this issue (http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=180&uid=swg1PK74719), but not Weblogic.
Is there any Weblogic expert who can help me to solve this issue?
I have attached two thread dumps (different steps) when they got hang.

Crystal report hangs when calling oracle package

hi i have a oracle package that calls a proceadure, if i test this package in PLSQL developer it compiles and i get sensible results
this package has been designed using a ref type cursor to be called from crystal reports. it primary objective when the report is run, is to use File util to output data to an xml file.
when i run this from crystal reports it locks crystal reports up, and dosent output a file.
any ideas why crystal is hanging?

Hi yes the package uses fileutil to output a file,
the report user has permission over the file util output directory.
I have previously used this method to generate rpt, and other output files in parelell.

Hangs when calling report to be displayed in PDF format

I am calling reports from a form using RUN_PRODUCT to be displayed in PDF format. Initially, there is no problem generating and displaying reports, but inevitably at some point when a report is run it just hangs. Rebooting the server temporarily fixes problem. Any ideas on what is happening?

Crystal Report XI R2 cause IIS to hang while calling ReportDocument.Close()

Dear Concern,
We are using Visual Studio 2008 (.Net framework 3.5) to develop ERP Web portal for our company. Crystal Report XI R2 has been used here for generating customized report.
I have written a CrystalReport utility to do all type of logon, parameter pass stuffs with the report. The utility itself implements IDisposable and following is my code at the Dispose method:

But when my code reaches _crReportDocument.Close() then the IIS/ W3C hangs. I have waited for long time to the process to be finished but it never.
I also tried to move the code from my utility and directly close the report object from caller form but failed.
Can anyone please give me any suggestions regarding this issue? Is there anything wrong with this?
N.B. I have succeeded with Crystal Report X by using the same procedure.

The problem resolved after I have installed CR XI R2 Service Pack 4. Crystal Report 2008 of course is a better solution but I have to wait a bit for procurement.

Oracle session Hangs while calling one package function

Hi all,
We are a facing a interesting scenario in our code. Consider that you have 2 pakcages(A,B). Ecah packages is having more than 5 functions in it.
1. A.function1() makes a call to B.function1() - is working fine
2 .B.function1() calls B.function2() - is working fine
3. B.function2() calls A.function2() - oracle session hangs in this call.
If I copy the scropt code from A.function2() and inline (put) it in B.function1() , the execution gets completed without an issue.
If i run the A.function2() seperatly it works fine. Only calling from B package it is failing.
If anyone knows the rooot cause of the issue, please let me know.

Do you have/use global variables?
Moving code from one package to another doesnt necessarily result in logically equivalent programs. In the version of your program which hangs you may have crafted an infinite loop. Instrument your code and see if you really stall or just keep going on forever.
With this kind of cross-dependencies in your libraries you almost ask for trouble.

Getting session hang When calling Function from SQL query

Hi All,
I am using Oracle 8.1.7.4.0. I have a fucntion in a Package and I am calling it from the SQL query. When I am firing the query my oracle session is going to hang position and I am not able to any thing. I have to kill the session.
But this same thing is working fine in Oracle 9.i.
There are no out parameter and no DML, DDL and DCL statement in this fucntion.
Could you please get back me what is the problem on it.

Check why your session hangs.
Just a few ideas:
* Blocking locks?
* Endless loop?
* Performance (maybe it is just slow in orac8i and you have to wait a bit longer). Check the execution plans of the SQL statements in your function.
* Don't use a function, but direct SQL, it is faster in both versions.

JavaFX hangs when called from Java

I am developing a java application with a JavaFX gui, the communication from Java works with an java interface. The communication works,but after a few updates the javaFX code hangs and subsequently the Java code also hangs.
Is this a common problem, and so is there a common solution for this.

JavaFX UI calls need to be done on the Event Thread. So if your Java Application has multiple threads or runs on a different Thread to need to wrap all callbacks to JavaFX in a deferAction like this:
class YourFXClass extends YourJavaInterface {
   override public function someMethod(someArgument) {
        FX.deferAction(function() : Void {
              // doSomething with someArgument
    }

File upload hanging when called from another form

Hi
I have created a file upload form from the documentation I found on metalink and the form works fine on its own. I have then implemented the form into a multi form application and when the file upload form is called from another form it hangs trying to get to the client drive so that it can pick up a file. I have tried using the 'call_form', 'open_form' and 'new_form' built-ins but the results were all the same. Can anybody help me?

I call dbms_aqadm.add_subscriber but it hangs ( most probbably for the reason that some process has the lock on the queue - my guess ,correct me if wrong).
Can i make the call add_subscriber asynchronous which is returning some error code or something specifying that unable to add subscribe due to the following reason.
Please reply immeaditely.
