JTooltips and Generating Java Docs

Hey its me......again anyway I am working on a program and I don't know how to use JtootTips.
All I've done so far is make my JFrame, JPanel, JButtons, and some Strings.
What i want is when the mouse goes over JButton that does nothing (doesn't have action listener) it will show the text in my String Objects. I know using a JButton for this is dumb, but I don't know of anything else I can use as a "place holder". If plausible, I can add the action Listener to the button, so when it is clicked the JToolTip shows up.
And for my other problem, I don't know what I need to generate Java Docs. I prefer something that can be used with JCreator 4.50.010 pro. Up till now, Ive just been copying and pasting Java Code in my .java files into class I make with BlueJ, but thats time consuming and its very annoying when I typo a class name.
The program I'm working on now is gonna have well over 20 classes and html files.

I have no idea what you are on about when you talk about "converting" html to Java. It's like asking how to turn a Word document into an OS. Doesn't make much sense...

Accessing connection from java and generated code

In JDeveloper 10.1.2.x I set up a connection and selected a stored procedure and generated java to call the stored proc. All good.
Now, in a web service application I want to call the method in that class that was generated.
So, the generated class has setConnectionContext(), getConnectionContext(), etc methods. I don't know how to use them. What is a ConnectionContext?
How do I provide the database connection information and call the method in the generated code that I need?
My Oracle AS server has a datasource configured that is the one I would like to use, but I don't know how to 'access' it via java in the context of this generated class.

Hi, well CSV is not currently an Excel file, it is a Comma Separated Values
file which can be read through Excel.
Now, if you wish to remove the header, I would purpose that you develop an
application that reads the CSV file, as it is mere text, and that it also reads
another file (lets call it confirguration.txt) in which you determine the pattern
you want to remove, then you just read your report and if a string line
matches the pattern you defined in the configuration.txt file, then you simply
erase it.
And if you keep interested in reading real Excel files (xls), I would
recommend you use POI-HSSF API from Apache.org

Is there a way to do this at the schema level?

Right -click on your connection and generate DB Doc, will produce the HTML output of all the objects in that user. What are your requirements?

Using XMLbeans you can generate Java objects from an XSD schema (perhaps DTDs aswell)
Then you can create an instance of the Document object and ask it to write itself.
This will create an XML document complient to the schema.
XMLBeans generates a "type" safe DOM where you can only ever have a structure compilent to you schema.

Sorry for the reply delay. I didn't get a notification of reply on the post.
I am still able to get the error message dialog, along with the failure for the generation to terminate. (reproduced today 4/22/06 and others seem to be seeing it as well).
I can't identify anything specific in the steps.
Basically...
created a new application with ejb, adf, toplink
choose new project
choose toplink generate java objects
choose an existing validated database connection
select objects (all 4 tables in my little schema)
click through (...next...next...) to finish
locks up and dialog appears
I made a video of the steps, including verifying the database connection. If you want to see it, I'll email it to you.

Mixing two mp3 files and generating new mp3 file in java

HI,
I have problem, I have 2 mp3 files I have some defined times for both file. On particular time i want to mix both mp3 file sound and generate new mp3 file by mixing audio from both files.
As i am new to mp3 in java , Please guide me from where should i start or any other good suggestion.

Hi,
Is there any way to generate Java API Doc from the class files? I downloaded a set of Java class files from a web site, but it does not have any API docs, so I am hoping I can still generate the API docs from them?

Customization of generated Java class names

I could not find any documentation on how to customize names of the generated
Java classes/types. In Castor, you can do it with a simple mapping, is it possible
with XMLBeans?

I have tried to add an xsdconfig file, but when I run the following command:
C:\Java\XMLBeans\xkit\bin\scomp -src . -srconly order.xsd
with the xsdconfig file in the current directory , nothing happens - the xsdconfig
file is ignored and Java files are generated in exactly same way as they were
without the xsdconfig file...
Here is the content of my xsdconfig file - it is very simple, for test purposes:

Java doc comments

Im curious about these. I've never heard of java doc comments. I read about them in my ap computer science book ,and it didn't give very much detail on them, so i was wondering if someone could tell me a bit about them. i know I read something about being able to insert these comments into a html document or something.

Once you have documented the source code use the javadoc tool to generate the html documentation based on your comments in the source code.
You will need the java sdk(not jre) to run javadoc.

Logical AND in Java Regular Expressions

I'm trying to implement logical AND using Java Regular Expressions.
I couldn't figure out how to do it after reading Java docs and textbooks. I can do something like "abc.*def", which means that I'm looking for strings which have "abc", then anything, then "def", but it is not "pure" logical AND - I will not find "def.*abc" this way.
Any ideas, how to do it ?

First off, looks like you're really talking about an "OR", not an "AND" - you want it to match abc.*def OR def.*abc right? If you tried to match abc.*def AND def.*abc nothing would ever match that, as no string can begin with both "abc" and "def", just like no numeric value can be both 2 and 5.
Anyway, maybe regex isn't the right tool for this job. Can you not simply programmatically match it yourself using String methods? You want it to match if the string "starts with" abc and "ends with" def, or vice-versa. Just write some simple code.

Unable to generate accounting docs for invoice.

hi all,
I have a delivery related billing invoice created in May 2010 that we're attempting to cancel. We created a MIRO invoice against a sales generated PO tied to the Sales order for the invoice.
Subsequently, in August, we determined that we needed to cancel the MIRO invoice, and discovered it's necessary to reverse the sales order Invoice first (subsequent docs.)
In attempting to cancel the SD billing document, we received several error messages that prevented the creation of the invoice. We were eventually able to create the invoice by changing the billing date to the current date (from the defaulted may date) and things got interesting.
We created a SD cancellation invoice in Aug but were not able to generate accounting docs
I thought that if we updated the billing date to this month we would be able to process. So updating the billing date to 09-13-2010 (today) I receive this error
System error in the FI interface
If we modify to any date before September, we receive the following error message, which we expect, since we've closed prior period.
Posting period MMM YYYY is not open (billing dates attempted - 07-31-2010, 08-05-2010, 8-31-2010)
If i process using a september date, the changd date is not retained. only non september dates (also attempted 10-1-2010) are retained. This leads me to believe that there's an issue that's outside of the billing date causing the problem.
Can someone provide some input on how to properly address this invoice and allow it to generate accounting documents?

You could be encounrtering related FI errors. Release your billing document in VFX3 and refer to the details in the error logs.

Generated XML doc file contains comments from MFC source code

Hello, in my project I use the option /doc to generate XML doc file from my source codes but unfortunately in the output XML file there are mixed also comments from original MFC source codes, see the part of generated xml file:
Is there a solution to ignore these MFC cpp files?

Based on your issue, could you please tell me how you use the option /doc to generate XML doc file from your source codes?
If you use the option /doc to generate the XML doc file by right-click the your MFC project->Properties->Configuration Properties->C/C++->Output file->set the Generate XML document files as Yes(/doc) like the following screen shot.
(1)If yes, since we could not reproduce your issue in mu side, so if possible, I suggest you could share me your MFC project so that we will further help you support this issue.

(2)If no, please try the above way to generate XML doc file and then check if you still get same issue.
