Just google "Verizon Deleted "

I don't understand what is so difficult about this. Best Buy and Verizon, each in their own infinite wisdom, butchered my upgrade and account change 4 times. This has been ongoing for over a month now and I believe Verizon purposely drug out responding so that I would be passed my probation period.
I have been a customer for over 10 years and was grandfathered into my unlimited plan. Then I received an iPhone 5 as a gift. In order to avoid paying 600+ outright,  went ahead an upgraded. Let me first say that I was only told about the upgrade fee. So I was very surprised to also see an activation fee. Really Verizon? $65 to get a concurrent customer going? Anyway, I was first set up on 2 different share everything plans: 1 for my ipad and the other for the phone. When they "fixed" this, they managed to put me on the wrong plan. I went to Verizon and was told that "they couldn't fix it at the store; I needed to call customer service." First of all, worst hold music ever. Second, I know he could have fixed it in the store--the customer service guy said he could.
Customer service guy did his best to fix the errors but when I went online it was still incorrect. Back and forth with Verizon for a month (each time my bill was adjusted more so that tells us something). My bill was changed once more by Best Buy and another by Verizon. 4 changes later, and all I want to see is whatever credits they made, side by side with the errors. They reeeeeaaaally don't want to do this. They applied the credits all over the place claiming they "can't backdate" a bill; calling ******** on that one. A multi-billion dollar company should be able to back date. Anyway, I even set the whole thing up for them: charge description, dates, amount.
Overall, I need to get out of my contract. They should let me out without any penalties because it is their fault in the first place that I'm stuck with them. I have advised 3 friends up for plan renewal to avoid Verizon. The problem still isn't solved by the way; I am looking at a $312 bill this month when I previously was only paying $108 per month. So sick of them. Tell your friends to go elsewhere and feel free to throw any advice for me you might have.

Geez, calm down bourdo. I was joking around by answering my own question because I found amusement in that <Word filter avoidance> was hidden. You do realize that you came on a complaint board to complain about my complaining, right? Silly.
As far as figuring it out for myself, I have been. Spoken with 8 different people now and my bill is adjusted down more each time. With regards to letting out anger, it was more like frustration. I was alerting others that Verizon will screw you if they can and if you put in the time and effort to get it fixed, you'll still be facing a battle.
Verizon wants to charge me $300 to leave the company. I was in my probation period after my upgrade when this all started and was promised that it would be fixed. I trusted Verizon, and that was my mistake. I mainly trusted Verizon's assurances because if I left, they would have no incentive to fix the $429 bill that they had incorrectly gave me in the first place.
So all in all, yes bourdo, I have been complaining to people who matter for the purposes of fixing my account. I have at least 15 emails back and forth 9 phone calls. It shouldn't be this difficult, but Verizon is making it so.
Now onto your issues, bourdo. Why are you on a forum if everyone is <Word filter avoidance> off? Why do you care so much anyway? So many CAPS and exclamation points! Ah! I'm really taking you seriously now! Did that work?  Ok, enough of my essay and back to work. Sorry if my awesome upvoted complain post took attention away from something you found important.     I found this on a 3.2 apex install on a development machine 1 have a number of workspaces.
    in one workspace in which I have been developing 3 applications and in which I have VPD enabled.
    When I click next after choosing table name in create form form table it times out.
    It does not take you to the page where you enter or confirm the page number, page name, etc.
    I have tried another workspace on the same server and it works to fcreate the form.
    On a separate machine/install the same workspace which does not work above to create form form table does work.
    The VPD setup is not identical in this workspace, but very similar.
    I surmise it is an issue with that workspace, possibly but not certainly with the new VPD , the table has these settings in vpd

    A free account is never charged, if you have any charges in your Bank account without your knowledge from Adobe, I would request you to provide the following details by private message so that I can get it investigated.

    2. Last four digit of credit card

    Yes, if they were purchased from iTunes.  If they were CD's you copied to your iTunes library, then synced to your iPad, you may be forced to redownload the CDs again.
    Connect your iPad to your computer via USB and with iTunes open wait for your iPad to recognized on the left side of the iTunes screen.  Right click your iPad once and a dialog box will apear.  Choose Transfer Purchases and the music apps, etc., you purchased will transfer to your iTunes library on your computer.

    The way that I understand that it works, is that the photos are not copied into the new albums, instead it just points to the photos - the number of photos on the iPad in Settings > General > About doesn't increase when you create new album so I assume from that that it isn't copying the photo, just pointing to it. So if you delete the photo from the camera roll you will therefore also be deleting all the pointers to it

  • I am not able to delete all the bookmarks that I select to delete by clicking on the star. Most that won't delete seem to be in the unsorted bookmark category. I have tried many times and they just won't delete. What can I do.?

    When I follow the directions about deleting bookmarks by clicking on the bookmark, then clicking on the blue star and then clicking on delete bookmark, it will work with some but not all my bookmarks. I have noticed that the ones that won't work appear to be marked in unsorted bookmarks rather than bookmarks menu.
    I have tried many different ways to delete these bookmarks but nothing works. Some of these bookmarked pages need to be signed in and I no longer have a way to sign in or want to sign in.
    I just want to delete the bookmark. Please help.

    This can be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

    I've sold my version of Logic Pro Studio 9 and want to make sure the purchaser has no problems. Do I just need to delete from my macbook pro of is there anything else I need to do? I cant see how to deregister. Hard times so had to sell sadly. Any advice appreciated. Thanks Phil

    Try use Image Capture (in your Applications Folder). IIRC you couldn't selectively import from anything with v6 or earlier.

  • Google/Verizon updates taint owner's preferences?

    I was having a problem with email sync a few weeks ago (four-six.  I have read that the actual update was in June, so it was just late).  I went through the normal routine, up to and including deleting and reinstalling gmail (what a pain).  So as is typical with a new update waiting, it had been causing the software to hang.  However, since the update, none of my emails (4 accounts) auto-sync (although that feature is turned on).  Also, since the update GoogleMaps has become my go to navigation app (even though they issue a disclaimer stating that it's still in beta for navigation). 
    I don't understand why Google deleted Nav and Places, and why Verizon okayed this.  Maps is slow and often doesn't work AT ALL without wifi or hotspot turned on, which kindof defeats the purpose.  Secondly, it is KILLING my battery life.   PLEASE don't tell me I could subscribe to Verizon Navigator's service to replace what could have been one of the greatest apps ever (especially paired with PLACES).
    I continue to be dismayed by the up and down service of Verizon when it comes to the operating system and updates.  One would think that at some point this issue needs to be better regulated to serve the consumer.  This is not just a fun little toy I have, but a very expensive tool and I am quite put out with how Verizon and Google continue to treat the consumer with limited regard to the impact of their (sometimes significant) updates and lack of options to the consumer on whether or not to accept these changes on devices owned and wholly used by the consumer.
    I guess I should write my congressman.
    In the meantime, if anyone can help me get my RAZR back to normal speed with email sync and help me understand how to make Google Maps work without going to wifi and/or why it drains the battery so fast, that would be great.

    You should be complaining to the developer of the application if you have an issue with it. For example, the Maps changes are Google's decision.

  • "You are no longer logged into your profile" - So....Palm just decides to delete my data???

    I was told to post this over in this Palm forum also so hopefully SOMEONE from Palm/HP will address this... I could not find a bug report area but perhaps someone can log this.
    So after months of (mostly) happily using a Pre Plus, Wednesday I get the message that I am no longer logged into my profile, and do I want to reboot or erase my data??!! I googled, and yup, it's an issue....So I reboot...same options, this reboot, it starts and asks me if I want English as my language. Woops!!! No data!
    Now of course palm profile does not backup anything on my phone really....I sync direct to Exhange and use Chapura sync to a desktop Outlook PST file. So I spend the next 5 hours restoring and syncing. Just crazy.  Why can't it just say that you are not currently logged in, we will try again in an hour??  And what right does palm have to delete MY data that the profile does not even backup???  My exchange and chapura sync'ed data?  Sure, I can re-sync with both of those. But my Chapura only if I am on the same wi-fi network as the local PC.  So what does that mean if I am traveling?  And re-syncing a huge volume of contacts takes forever.  And you lose all the linked contacts also!
    So I call the carrier and Palm. The carrier says...."well if your phone originally was under another phone number and you changed it as part of an upgrade, that can cause it." Huh? This can affect me months later I say??? My phone number upgrade change was done BEFORE I even turned on the phone. Palm does not even know about that first number!
    So I called Palm.  The guy says it can happen if 2 people use the same e-mail or credit card in their palm profile. Now since it won't even allow you to setup the same e-mail twice, I'd like to know how THAT would happen.  No one on my plan uses the same card.
    So the question is. We know this happens sometimes. Is there any source with credibility that really knows WHY this happens??? And does any setting reduce the likelihood of it happening again?  And why can't Palm make the results less debilating?  There is NO REASON that it needs to delete your data.  This is crazy.
    Also, other than my few purchased apps, none of my critical data is even backed up by the Palm Profile!!! I still had to re-create all my POP3 accounts, change all my preferences back, re-sync with Exchange, re-sync with Chapura, and then re-marry all the contact duplicates that Synergy did not handle right. So what's the worth?
    Can the Palm Profile/backup  be turned off? Does changing the palm profile in the apps perferences setting from "submit password every 4 hours" (whatever that means) to only at purchase help??
    Do you have any other options when you get that reboot r erase prompt? Pull the battery without answering the prompt perhaps???????
    If I am on the road and this happened, I would be without half my contacts until I returned which is unacceptable. This is very disappointing. I cannot believe the default action is not "let's TRY AGAIN", and not, "hey, let's erase all of this user's data on him"!!!
    If this happens one or two more times, I have had it.  I will be looking at another OS and phone after having Palm phones and organizers for the last 10 years or so.  This is unacceptable.

    Thanks for the reply.  Nowhere in here do I get the sense that Palm even thinks this is a problem or are going to work on fixing it.  It implies Palm thinks it is okay and the problem is me, the user, the customer, because I do not want my data resided on Palm's servers or Google's servers.  Does Palm understand this is an issue whether my data is on my home PC or in the cloud and in Palm Profile???  The issue is not how I choose to store just one of my calendars and contact lists (out of 3).  The issue is a bug in the Palm profile system.
    The first point is this.... Regardless of HOW this happens, Palm should not immediately erase all of my data!!!!  Let's say I DID sync all my data to Palm Profile.  I STILL would not want to have to re-download everything just because of some glitch with your backup servers, the carrier's network, or my phone!!!  Go look at some pre forums.  You will see many people that DO sync all of their data to their profile, and they are STILL upset with this Palm BUG.  If security is the concern, how about asking for a password first vs. just asking whether I want to reboot or erase all data?  If it is really me, I would know the password!  Your answer seems to imply that what is happening is OKAY. It is NOT okay whether I sync everything to Palm profile or not!
    Further, even if all my data WAS backed up to Palm Profile, you still lose all preferences, all manually matched synergy contacts, etc.... etc... Again, I would still be very upset if all my data was erased even if EVERYTHING was backed up to Palm profile.  DON'T ERASE MY DATA!!!
    I have no problem re-synching my exchange e-mail after a problem.  It works from the road, etc.  However after 10 years, Palm decided to not suport the syncing of home PC's with the Pre.  An unfortunate decision as Palm was a pioneer in this.  You talk about security....Perhaps some of us do not want our data stored on Palm servers or google servers!!! Yes, indeed, in the event of a crash I cannot restore from the road. I can live with this if the crash was from a hardware or software issue.  But it is NOT OKAY if it is caused by Palm just because of some system glitch.  Since you are not restoring my home PC data anyway, why erase it?
    You talk about being logged out of your profile.  My phone was just used, and it was sitting on my desk.  Just sitting there. And then it popped up that "I was no longer logged into my profile".   What causes this?  Why does it not give me a chance to re-login?  How come after the erase of data and reboot I was then magically "logged in" and it was working?  Did the person that was trying to steal my non-existent data in my palm profile stop trying?  
    So are you telling me that someone was trying to use my phone SIM, on a pre plus, with my e-mail, and had my password....and trying to login, and that is why I got the message?  And then magically right after I rebooted, they stopped trying and all was okay???
    I do not believe that is the case.  And again, if it is, ask for my password, or a security question, or SOMETHING to confirm that it is me.  And a simple google search will tell Palm/HP that this is a problem many of us have had.  If I have it consistently, as I said, a 10 year customer is gone.

    so i just got new service with Verizon on the 4 of July and the phones when on sale or should i say drop in price i return to the store to get the different back . i call verizon nice lady told me i will be able to get my money back just go to a verizon store. I came into the store i didn't want the money back i just wanted more things for the phone like the cool mophie  case  gold to match my phone she come back out after  30 minute of me waiting  to tell me im sorry but we cannot give you your money back and i ask her why im still with in the 14 day return period and was told that i can get the different back i try telling her that all i wanted to do is get the case and the different she can put to the account. she kept saying no it cannot happen so i  ask to speak to a manger and she would not come out she stay in the office and the lady that was helping me was just going back forth with me and the manger i told her i would like to cancel the service and i just go back to my old phone company she wouldn't cancel the service with me told me now the manger would put a credit to the account and i can order the case that way with really don't make sense to me if you can credit my account why is it i cannot get credit for my case today and i really don't know as she kept saying to me, i didn't want a credit to my account i want my case .

    The bar at the top of the page does not display the webpage address anymore after I changed some setting while trying to delete a bookmark. It appears I've permanently deleted web addresses. How do I restore this setting?

    Eventually the Settings app just crashes while waiting for the Backup Options list to populate.
    When I try an actual backup of my iPad to iCloud it spins for a while and then crashes.
    I only want to backup up a handful of my apps to iCloud but right now I can't even get it to show me the list of apps to turn on/off.

  • My delete key use to work as a back key but not just operates as delete key

    Up until yesterday my delete key would back up between windows but now just operates as a delete key.  Has anyone else experienced this?

    What version of XP do you have? I believe that if you have XP pro installed you can do the following, although others claim you need a server software download from micrsoft. but give this a try, if it doesn't work, no harm done.
    After installing,
    1) go to Start>Run
    2) Enter "remapkey" (witout quotes)
    A nice GUI utility pops up to let you remap keys on your keyboard. You can use it to remap the delete key. I suggest using the Right Command key.
    After saving, reboot and you'll be able to use Ctrl-Alt-(Right Command) to do a Ctrl-Alt-Delete and logon to Windows domains and other useful things.

    I get the same message when I open it from my iphone 5..."there was a problem connecting to facebook" there isnt a problem though
    if i swipe left I see standard Friends at top, below it listsclose friends, family, then a help center, account settings, privacy settings, log out, etc. I dug around there for a while but didnt see any option to delete messages.
    if i swipe right I see the word Favorites at the top. above that is a search option. to the right is a weird little symbol kinda like a wheel with gears on it. if i click that it gives me the option of Turn off Chat or Cancel. I did both, it just greys out the friends list that appears. If I click a name, the previous conversation appears. nothing to delete from there, just contact info if I click the i symbol or back to news feed.

  • Why is all my RAM being taken up with just Google Chrome being run?

    Not sure what you are seeing here. Restart if you are bogging down.  Run less apps at one time. Use a different browser.
    Mavericks manages memory very well in 10.9, all memory is quickly put into play,  but I see no memory pressure in the red zone.
