JVM Time Zone does not updates

In my application, users can change the Time and the Time-Zone as required.
I m changing the system-time and system-time-zone. I used TimeZone.setDefault() method to changed the JVM's Time-Zone.
So that the JBoss server does not need to restart to get the new Time-Zone.
But Jboss does not shows the correct time in its console.
Restart of the JBoss server fix the problem.
Can anybody tell me how to tackle this issue?

Hi,
did you try to import the time zones from note 198411?
There is a fairly clear document accompanying this note, it worths reading it.
Regards,
Ivan.

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that SharePoint 2010 (SP2010 SP1+ AU CU 2011) site built with Project Web Access template shows warning "Your Local Machine Time Zone does not match your current Sharepoint Regional Settings".
Users are getting this message even after correctly specifying and changing the timezone in their Sharepoint Settings. This is a common problem across the net, but we've found a workaround
    that will eliminate this problem.
Step 1: Open your Web Database in your Browser
Step 2: Click the Arrow Under the Login ID (upper right corner)
    Step 3: Choose My Settings
Step 4: Click the My Regional Settings Link
Step 5: Uncheck the 'Always Follow Web Settings' check and specify your time zone.
    Step 6: Click OK

  • Time stamp does not update automatically

Hi, All. I want include the time stamp (yyyy-mo-dd-min-sec) in the file name. However, the value of the time stamp does not update automatically/synchronizes with the computer clock at each new run. I need to do it manually with the right click and update the time to the current.
How can I solve this? Thanks a lot in advance.

What does this have to do with NI counter/timer hardware?
What language are you using and what function are you using to get a timestamp? If the language is LabVIEW, then all you need is Get Date/Time in Seconds. If you are using a front panel Time Stamp control, then you are using the incorrect function.

  • Time zone does not stick

On my new MBP (late 2008) the time is permanently incorrect. Instead of GMT+1 (central European time) it shows only GMT. I've manually set it several times, ticked time server, closed the lock, reset the PRAM and started up in safe mode; to no avail. Date is correct.
It is strange that when I set the time manually, the analog clock in the prefs panel shows the right time, while the digital one does not. Strange.
I can't find any clearly identifiable prefs file for time settings.
Does anybody have an idea? Thanks.

VERY strange. TODAY I received an email from a friend in Mexico with a very similar problem, one that I'd never heard of before. Maybe there's a clock bug that started with the new year?
Here's his message to me. Any comments would be appreciated:
I just got a new MacBook Pro (notebook) from Santa. When I set the time
in Preferences I of course chose my time zone which is Central Time
(CST). However, when I did that, the analog clock in Preferences
window shows one time and the digital clock in Preferences shows a 6
hour difference (as does the digital clock in the top menu bar). No
matter what I do to try to get the clocks to agree with one another on
CST it simply does not work. As I move the analog clock manually the
digital clock changes at the same time.
The impact is that my iCal appointments I migrated over are all
screwed up and the time stamp on emails are too.
I have reloaded the OS that came with the PC. I have spent time on
the phone with Apple Support and they are dumbfounded or mystified.
Unfortunately my or their phone line cuts when I speak to them and
then the call is a waste. +[note: He's calling from Mexico]+
In the meantime, I have set the time to GMT since all the clocks agree
and I can manage my iCal that way. But I'd like it to work properly, of
    course. Any ideas?

My New York Times app does not update the news each day.
I have to delete the app and reinstall to get the latest news.

I have a NY Times digital subscription. Do I somehow have a way to sign in as
    a subscriber?

    Permissions problem?
I don't have subscription but I can see updated apps when I pull down it says "Release to Refresh".
What happens when you do it?
Also there is a settings in the app for Push Notifications as well as update frequency.

  • Presenter Display does not update current slide or run timer ...

Hey - I'm a newbee, so forgive me is this is something obvious. When I run my presentation, the Presenter's Display does not update the current slide as the show progresses. Nor does the timer run. Nor are the notes displayed, even though I have checked all the appropriate prefs for all three. Help!

Yes, AIFF or WAV should work. I've never tried importing a SDII file.
    A few more caveats, however:
    1) A Recorded Soundtrack (i.e. with the Builds and Transitions timed to the audio) may not play back properly in sync if the slideshow is created on one computer and played-back on another; the durations of Builds and Transitions are dependent on the processor speed of the playback computer. SO be sure to check your synchronization on the playback computer! You may need to make some adjustments.
    2) It has been reported in numerous threads in this Forum that Synchronizations also frequently fail when exported to other applications - especially when running OS 10.5.
    3) Synchronization also fails if the slideshow is played back as a hyperlink. I've found that slideshows will playback just fine if a "stand-alone" Keynote presentation. If linked to others via hyperlinks, however, you will have to trigger all Builds and Transitions yourself.
All of these are known problems with Keynote and it's lamented implementation of audio.

  • Real time ROLAP or Automatic molap cubecube does not update the value

    Hello Everyone,
I am working with Real time Rolap and Automatic MOLAP cube. I had created cube using AdventureWorks DW sample given by Microsoft Tutorial. when i fire insert query, It updates data. It works fine in both the cases after reconnecting in SSMS and SSAS browser.
But I have a one database table in SQL server with 4 varchar and 10 numeric fields [simple table with one primary key without any relationship with other table]. I tried to create both type of cube from direct database table [selecting varchar fields as
dimensions and numeric as measures], created partitions, specified server side tracking table. It processes the cube. but when i add rows into this table. It inserts record but does not update in SSAS browser or SSMS browser.
Please help me what is the problem???
    Thanks in Advance!

I noticed the same behavior reported by Bob: Not regarding the "process filter" or the "update frequency" selected "CPU Time" column is only updated when details dialog is open. I noticed it just today (which triggered the search here), I wonder if this "feature" has been always present or maybe activity monitor is getting lazy?

  • E52 Date Display does not update and reflect the c...

Right from day 1 the display date of my E52 does not update and reflect correct the correct date. Got the phone replaced once still the same issue. Called the customer service and they say there is no such problem with E52. They asked me to go to the repair center...(isnt that ridiculous to ask a customer of a new phone to do so?). I went to the repair center with a hope that they will replace it for me but all in vain. They also gave me a ridiculous answer that Nokia does not have a replacement policy...and I was like so is it Nokia's policy to sell broken and faulty mobiles? I was utterly dejected. The electronic store where I bought also refuse to replace because they think there is a problem and no matter I get it changed it will recur. I still do not have a solution as all my ways of getting this problem resolved are exhausted. Anyone has a solution or came across this issue which can be solved without repairing?

Ok let me state my problem. There is a date display and at midnight the date should automatically change to the next date. However that does not happen. The dealer makes the following changes Control Panel>Settings>General>Date and time> Automatic time update> On and this does not solve the problem. Then I get the mobile replaced and that too has the same problem. after going through all permutations and combinations the problem persists. To quote the email from the Contact center for Nokia in HK this was what was suggested
    Menu→Ctrl. panel→Settings→General→Date and time→Time zone→please select Hong Kong→Automatic time update→please select Off
However, if the situation still occurred by following the above settings, please be advised to bring your Nokia E52 along with the valid sales invoice to one of our Hong Kong Nokia Care Centres for the handset checking since we do not have such arrangement of replacing a new phone to you.
    Please help!!!

  • Entourage: "Event and computer time zones do not match."

Since installing the latest update to the Mac OS (10.4.6) I have a glitch with Entourage (Office 2004 for Mac v. 11.2.3) and I believe it has something to do with the Mac OS. See below for explanation:
When adding a new calendar event to the calendar, I get an error which reads:
"Event and computer time zones do not match. In Calendar views, the event time is adjusted to display correctly." This is not true. I've checked the time zones in both my OS and Entourage and that is not the problem.
It must have to do with how it interacts with the latest update of the Mac OS. I had not updated software on my laptop for a while, and it did not exhibit this error, so as a test, I downloaded and installed the latest version of Office and tested Entourage: no error message. To be sure, I restarted the computer and tried again: no error. Then I downloaded and installed all of the latest updates to the Mac OS using Software Update: I got the error. So, I think the problem is the interaction between the latest update of Office 2004 for Mac and the latest Mac OS or maybe even just something in the Mac OS.
There are plenty of people complaining about this on the newsgroups at Mactopia. I'm not sure who needs to repair this problem - Apple or Microsoft, but does anyone know if there will be a patch issued by Microsoft to fix the problem? Or maybe my assessment is wrong and you have another solution?
Thanks very much for your help with this problem.

I am in Ohio (eastern time) and I am also having this problem. It is not annoying but my problem is I am not able to schedule any meeting on Entourage. (It will not show if the person I am inviting is busy or not). They use the Exchange server in my company, and I read on the microsoft site that public folders and hence the calendar items are not synced. But seems like this page is for Office X and not 2004. Any clues? Is the time error related to me not able to schedule meetings? I am using latest 10.4 and Entourage 2004.

Can't add music my iPhone from iTunes.
When I try to drag a song over to my phone, I get the circle w/ the syncing line through it, but it does not update/load.
[Manually manage music and videos] is checked. And, this is the only Mac I have ever used to add music to my phone.
Also, just updated the phone's software today, and iTunes' software is already up to date.

    Hi Gregg,
Have you tried resetting the device (nothing will be lost): Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Apple appears (up to 30 seconds). Once the Home screen redisplays, see if your Music app is behaving normally.

  • Time Machine does not see a Time Capsule external drive

Time Machine will not recognize an external drive attached to my Time Capsule, even though it did so last week. How do I get it working again?
Until last week, I was using Time Machine to back up to a Verbatim 2 TB drive attached to a Time Capsule. It occasionally hung, requiring me to restart the Time Capsule in order to get backups working again, so I bought a Seagate 2 TB drive to replace the Verbatim in case the problem was a flaky drive. Now I can't get Time Machine to recognize either disk when the disk is attached to the Time Capsule.
Both disks are formatted in Mac OS Extended (Journaled). Both disks work correctly when I attach them directly to my Mac. When I attach either disk to the Time Capsule, Airport Utility shows the external drive, shows that sharing is enabled, and I can even mount the Time Capsule with Finder and see the external disk with Finder. But when I try to Select Disk in Time Machine Preferences, whether or not the Time Capsule is mounted with Finder, Time Machine Preferences doesn't see the disk—the only choices of disk are My User Account on the Time Capsule, and Other Time Capsule.
Restarting my Mac and restarting the Time Capsule does not help. Software and firmware updates are (and have been) up to date. I'm running OS X Mavericks 10.9.2 and Time Capsule version 7.6.4.
To reiterate, this was working a week ago. How do I get it working again?

If nothing in your configuration has changed, you can try plugging the disks one at a time directly into your mac, run Disk Utility and perform a Repair Disk. If any errors are displayed, rerun Repair Disk until there are none. Then try them back on the Time Capsule.

  • Mobile.me Calendar does not update/sync on iPhone

Since I did my upgrade to the new version of Mobile.me Calendar (as requested by Apple!), my iPhone no longer shows entries that I have typed into the Mobile.me Calender website. I no longer use iCal because Apple said it would not work with the new version of Calendar on Mobile.me, so I did the upgrade to stay in sync with calendars on my mobile.me site and iPhone, but the iPhone does not update. I deleted my calendar entries on my iPhone hoping that the Mobile.me would re-sync the data, but that didn't happen either. Here is my info:
iPhone version 3.1.3(7E18)   Model MA712LL (first original iPhone)
What else can I tell you to help me please?

Please always post your System details when you have a question. The upgrade to the new MobileMe calendar produces different results, and different problems, with different versions of OSX.
Snow Leopard: during the upgrade process your iCal calendars should be moved to MobileMe (this can take some time and you have to wait for it to happen). Once done, your iCal reads the calendars from MobileMe so any changes made in either place will be visible immediately. If this has not happened then this Apple Tech Note provides instructions:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3397
Leopard: when the upgrade is completed iCal on Leopard will not be able to see the MobileMe calendars until an additional process is carried out, detailed in this Apple Tech Note:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4330
Tiger: iCal on Tiger cannot read the MobileMe calendars, period. The only workaround is to upgrade to Leopard, or Snow Leopard if possible (Intel Mac required).
