Hi. During the process of updating my ipad to IOS 6 utilizing iTunes, I received the error #1602. I tried the update procedure again, this time itunes does not recognize the devise. The pad is displaying USB connecter to iTunes. Can anyone recomend a fix?

There is only one fix now. The message on the screen means that you have to restore the iOS software on the iPad now. Read the part at the very end about using recovery mode.

Some external ones do not work with the Mac's although most do. There are some driver compadibility issues with Mavericks, so I would wait for an update.

Yes it is done through iTunes. The iPhone will never show up in Finder as a device. Your advice did not help me. I also installed 10.7.4 combo but the situation is the same.

I am also having issues with the device since updating to IOs 6. The time between clicking an icon, i.e. a picture, and the load of that picture takes longer enough to notice it. It did not happen before the update.
I am also having problems with some applications, specially the Facebook application. When I click on my picture in the right bar of the app, it promps a window that ask me for share my location, etc.. and get freeze there.
Regarding reseting the device, already done. It did not helped.
Also, SIRI is very nice, but sometimes it stop working and I have to re-start the device in order to being able to use SIRI again. When it happens, it looks like SIRI is sending the information, but does not do anything after.
It is understandable that they require some time to get the new IOs version working properly, but I dont like to be a Beta tester.

FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.

MBridge does not recognize files from the Nikon D 5000

I have just bought a d 5000, but neither Bridge or Photoshop will recognize the File type, although they both had no problem with NEF from my d80

NEF files from different models of Nikon have different files formats.
To open the files for your new Nikon D5000 camera you need to have Camera Raw 5.4 beta hosted by Photoshop 11.0.1 (CS4).
If you have CS4, download and run the ACR 5.4 Release Candidate installer and install it.

If you do not have CS4, you cannot open the files from the new camera directly and you never will be able to, as there will be no further updates to older versions. You will need to download the latest version of the DNG Converter 5.4 and convert your NEF files to raw DNG files first that you can then open in ACR 2.4 hosted by CS; ACR 3.7 hosted by CS2; or ACR 4.6 hosted by CS3.
Note that Photoshop Elements is not directly supported by ACR 5.4 Release Candidate at this time, so you will have to go the DNG Converter 5.4 RC route if you only have Elements.

My HP laptop always use to recognize my Iphone 4 then all of the sudden stopped. I have been trying to transfer pictures and it does not see that any device or camera is plugged in to it like it use to. I have VISTA on my computer. When I go to My Computer it doesnt show anything is even plugged into the USB port. I tried all 3 ports on the laptop. The Windows help assistant talks about needing a driver..basically a software disc to load any new divice onto the computer. How would I get a driver for the Iphone?? I never needed that before. I could just plug it in and I would get the pop up asking if I wanted to transfer my pictures, etc. This is so annoying! I do back up to I Cloud as well.

Hi..Yes, I Tunes is installed on the computer. I sync with it no problem. I am trying to get the pictures from my Iphone onto my computer. When I use to plug the phone in I would get a pop up from Windows saying do you want to transfer pics to computer, do you want them to erase off phone once transfered, etc. Now I do not get the pop up. It is like the computer no longer recognizes that my Iphone is plugged in. Technically the pics are on my computer in the Photo Stream folder..but I want to actually transfer them off the phone. I have tried to turn off Photo Stream and I cloud but it does not help. The computer still does not recognize the phone plugged into the USB. If I go to "add a printer, scanner or camera" on the computer..it does not see it either. That is where it talks about having a driver to set up a new hardware device. I have 900 pics on my phone that I do not want to have to delete one by one...and I want to make sure they are downloaded.
