As per above notes its clear that if you are unable to start up JAVA as JAVA license got expired so need to apply JAVA license from ABAP side then it would pic both so in this way we can start JAVA
But how it would be in case of JAVA only system? how to apply?Shall we apply from OS level?
Thanks in advance -

Ejb-ref-mapping in orion-ejb.jar missing location attribute after deployment
I have noticed that on several of my entity beans that after deployment the <ebj-ref-mapping location="JNDIName" name="LocalName"/> is missing the location attribute. This causes any attempts to lookup the EJBHome for that EJB to fail because the path to the EJBHome in JNDI cannot be found (obviously!). The problem is that this causes me to manually edit the application-deployment/<app>/<ejb.jar>/orion-ejb.zml after each deployment via the admin.jar. This seems like a bug with OC4J and I am wondering if Oracle is aware/doing something to fix this?
I have noticed that the same problem exists for session beans, however, for some strange reason the EJBHomes can still be resolved in JNDI. In all cases the location in JNDI is different then the <ejb-ref-name> I used in the client EJB.
Example being I have an entity bean at com.foo.Foo and the session bean uses lookup("java:comp/env/ejb/Foo") it is still able to find the EJB even though the orion-ejb.xml looses the location attribute. If the case is an entity bean referencing another entity bean in the same fashion I get an error because the location attribute is missing. If the 'location' value is same as the 'name' value, then even though the location attribute is missing, it is ok and should work. If they are not the same, then you should have defined the ejb-link element in your ejb-jar.xml when defining this ejb-ref and that would make the location attribute appear in the generated orion-ejb-jar.xml.
If the referenced bean is from a different application (EAR), then you should have used the -parent option when deploying the application.

Ceutils Jar missing in BO XI 4
Hi,
We have just moved into BO 4.0 from 3.1 and while testing the application found out that ,ceutils, jar is missing from BO SDK.
Has this really been removed ,If yes then what about PromptsUtil class.
Regards,
Abhishek RanjanC:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\Tomcat6\work\Catalina\localhost\BOE\eclipse\plugins\plugins.VisualDifference

Xsu12_817.jar missing from 9.2.0.2 XDK download
The archive of xdk 9.2.0.2 from technet does not include the xsu12_817.jar file. It's also missing the equivalent files for previous 8i versions.
I've managed to get through xdkload by copying the file from the 8.1.7 XDK but this leaves me with a separate error when testing at the end of xdkload :
SQL> select dbms_xmlquery.getxml('select * from dual', 2) from dual;
DBMS_XMLQUERY.GETXML('SELECT*FROMDUAL',2)
<?xml version = '1.0'?>
<ERROR>oracle.xml.sql.OracleXMLSQLException: java.lang.N
Is it possible to release the file or fix the XDK download as it's useless to Oracle8i users as it stands.
Regards,
Mike Hatelyme again.
the only thing I want to know ist, which file I have to choose at the second frame of the OUI in the source-path to start the installation!
thanks for reply ... -
I18n.jar missing in J2SDK 1.4.0 beta3 for Windows
I have installed J2SDK 1.4.0 beta3 on a WinNT system. The jre\lib folder does not contain the file i18n.jar
Also, I have tried to install J2RE 1.4.0 beta3 on a WinNT system. The i18n.jar is missing there too.
The Java 2 SDK File Structure shows the file included in the jre/lib folder.
I have Java 1.2 and 1.3 also installed on the same system.
Can someone please tell me why this file is missing in my installation?
RoopalIt's not missing, they removed it. Most of the classes that were in i18n.jar are now in other jars such as charsets.jar.

I'm running Coherence 3.7.1.0.0 with REST enabled as per the instruction. I have included coherence-rest-pof-config.xml in my pof config like so:
<include>coherence-pof-config.xml</include>
<include>coherence-rest-pof-config.xml</include>
When I start Coherence, I get the following error:
Caused by: (Wrapped: error creating class "com.tangosol.io.pof.ConfigurablePofContext") java.lang.IllegalStateException: Missing PofSerializer configuration (Config=custom-types-pof-config.xml, Type-Id=801, Class-Name=com.tangosol.coherence.rest.internal.Get)
The config in coherence-rest-pof-config.xml for com.tangosol.coherence.rest.internal.Get is as follows:
<user-type>
<type-id>801</type-id>
<class-name>com.tangosol.coherence.rest.internal.Get</class-name>
</user-type>
I had a quick look in the coherence-rest.jar, where com.tangosol.coherence.rest.internal.Get is defined. com.tangosol.coherence.rest.internal.Get implements InvocableMap.EntryProcessor, but not PortableObject.
Am I missing something? As far as I can see, InvocableMap.EntryProcessor does not implement PortableObject either.
Is there any way to fix this?
ThanksThe jar file coherence-common-1.7.0.16988.jar would have been part of the Coherence Incubator product, and isn't part of the core Coherence product itself.
You'd probably need to refer to the Coherence Incubator site as there are probably significant changes between the version you are using in 3.5.3 and with what is meant for 12.1.2. -

Error installing EP6 with P9resource.jar missing
Hi there,
I am installation EP6 and CM part on Windows 2000/Oracle.
I get the following error during CM installation:

I have checked the F:/EP6/PORTAL/data/JARS directory and the file P9resource is not there. Where can I locate this file.
This is resolved now. There was an issue with java.exe in bin directory.

Hi experts.
I didn't find a problem similar to mine in the forum, so I'm posting a new thread. I have a simple rule project in NWDS, I referenced BRMS FACADE as its dependency according to a guide. I'm trying to generate a WS of this rule using the WS generator. I'm getting the below error from the WS generator:
java.io.IOException: Library Required for WS Compilation - C:\Documents and Sett
ings\A55587\workspace.jdi\LocalDevelopment\BRMS-FACADE\sap.com\tc\brms\facade\_c
omp\gen\default\public\api\lib\java\tcbrmscore~filtered.jar does not exist
I checked the directory for the BRMS jar files, and such jar doesn't exist.
I removed the dependency to BRMS facade from the rule project, but I'm still getting the same error, probably because this jar is absolutely required for generating a rules web service.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!Hello,
When you say you are using BRM WS Generator - are you referring to the plugin available for 7.11 or is it the in-built functionality available from BRM 7.2 onwards?
In the second case, the BRMS facade reference is not required for rules project. All you have to do is use the WS Generator wizard to simply generate the web service file on the click of a button.
I would recommend you to repair your NWDS and try generating web service for a ruleset again.

Before putting things to run on the application server, i resigned some jar files apart from jabob, using sign_webutil.

What's wrong? Was it a mistake to resign jar files?
How to correct this one ...?
Help will be greatly appreciated ....!As always, it is highly recommended that before installing any software, you should read the documentation. Please take a look at the Java Plugin Release Notes for the version you installed. It will explain what you are seeing and why you are seeing it. As for Oracle Forms specifically, as mentioned, patches have been created for the latest Forms versions. However, at this time, what you are seeing in the console will not prevent your application from running. It is just a warning. In future versions, this may change.

This will be very important information if you decide to create your own jar files. For example, to include images, java beans, etc. -
Dicussions configuration - issue with deploy-jive-portlet.jar deployment
Hi,
I'm setting up discussions on 10.1.3.2 webcenter out of the box install. After running this command on linux: java -client -Dhttp.proxyHost=www-proxy.us.oracle.com -Dhttp.proxyPort=80 -jar deploy-jive-portlet.jar
I do not have updated jiveforums-5.1.0.jar file in $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/OC4J_Jive/applications/owc_discussions/jiveforums/WEB-INF/lib, instead only the old backup file jiveforums-5.1.0.jar_backup exists in that directory.
I found out that during the time I run the comman a tmp (e.g. called jiveforums-5.1.0.jar30019.tmp) gets created in the /tmp directory of my linux server. I extracted xwork-community.xml from the tmp file and noticed differences (e.g. added SSO classes) compared to the xwork-community.xml from the backup jiveforums-5.1.0.jar_backup file.
I've now manually copied the temporary file to $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/OC4J_Jive/applications/owc_discussions/jiveforums/WEB-INF/lib and discussions login seems to work fine (through sso).
I've followed these two instructions with the setup but with both I got same result (i.e. updated jiveforums-5.1.0.jar missing and changed jiveforums-5.1.0.jarxxxtmp created in /tmp)
http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/B32110_01/webcenter.1013/b31074/jpsdg_jive.htm#CBBHFIIA
and
Note: 458616.1
I would like to ask is there some known bug with the discussions configuration (I have not managed to find anything from webiv) which causes this? And is the work-a-round which I've done (using tmp file) possibly valid one or is it likely something will break later on because of this?
Thanks!Hi - just wanted to also update the output of the deployment command as that did not have any errors which would have shown why the file was not created in the expected directory. Here is the output:

I am a mostly satisfied user of JDeveloper 9.0.3.1035. However I experience the following problem which seriously dampens my enthusiasm for working in the IDE.
Sometimes generation of JAR files from a JAR deployment profile omits classes. It does so silently, and in spite of the classes being checked in the deployment profile properties, and no compilation problems being present. So I don't see the problem until runtime, and it's not necessarily very evident what the problem is.
I noticed that it usually happens right after editing the java source of the class and then deploying the jar. The jar will be deployed as usual, but without the class in question. I have not been able to detect a pattern in which changes cause the problem to appear.
The only succes I have had in remedying the problem has been to delete the class entirely and create it again in the workspace. But sometimes even this is not enough and I seem to be unable to get the class included in the jar, even after removing and recreating both the class and the deployment profile. Needless to say it gets old after a while.
Has anyone else experienced the same problem, and possibly has a workaround for it? As it stands it is an unfortunate fly in the ointment in an otherwise very positive experience with JDeveloper.Indeed the preview function shows me what is going to be in the jar (missing classes and everything). It does not contain any red lines, but then it doesn't contain my classes either, even though they are selected in the deployment profile gui, and all paths seem to be correct (several other classes in the same path are included).
I experience a complete mismatch between what is selected in the deployment profile interface, what goes in the *.deploy xml file and what actually gets included in the jar. After recreating the deployment profile everything is included. Then, if I go and uncheck some classes, the output is different, but not matching my changes (unchecked classes included and checked ones not included). Finally, in the *.deploy xml file, files are listed which are not checked and also don't get included in the jar (non-java files like jsps).
The runtime exception depends on the context, but it tracks down to the classes missing in the build (ClassNotFound etc.).
