Kanban barcode

Hi,
I have a problem with barcode kanban.
I would like to create a production order  through Barcode kanban.
I get this error "No control cycle or kanban could be determined for the data specified"
what can I do to customise the system so that it's work.
thanks
Derval

Hi Dade,
For Kanban u have to create the control cycle and all other kanban settinngs like supply area,demand area,supply cle ,demand cycle.
Control cycle is one of the master data for KANBAN along with supply area and replinesment strategy. In control cycle you will define the calculation and the replinsment stretegy for the material
Supply source view ( PK12N) and you can see the container here with emty status which trigers the procurement or in MD04 for the replenishment elements like Planned orders or stock transport order or schedule lines according to you configuration of replenishment strategy in the control cycle

  • PDF: Barcode in pdf file

    Hello,
    I need to create and send a PO and Kanban card through External Send in me22n to a vendor. It should be sent through email with the PO and Kanban card printouts as pdf attachements.
    How can I get a correct barcode that could be scanned instead of the place holder ( vertical lines ) ?
    Thanks for any help...

    Yes, it is possible with new barcode font.  When the new barcode font is used, SAP generates the barcode instead of the printer making it device independent.

  • Copying standard KANBAN adobeform in SAP SNC

    Hi,
    We have a requirement where we need to copy standard adobeform and add barcode to that for KANBAN process.
    I have following questions regarding this:
    1. while copying standard adobeform whether we need to copy Interface also?
    2. How to find print program to that form i.e., where data is getting fetched for this form-the form is getting triggered from SNC system..menu path is as followsSNC Supplier role --->SNC Supplier View . When we click on Supplier view it is leaving to WEB UI and from there the Adobeform is getting triggered.
    Can anyone explain how and where it is fetching data...
    3.Where is the configuratgion done for this form(like in NACE in ECC)?
    4.If there is any webdynpro component then where can we find the link for this web ui and form?
    Thanks,

    Hi Nilson,
    The business processes mentioned can be used for any industry. There is not restriction as such.
    These business processes are more relevant for those industry.
    e.g. Outsourced Manufacturing / WO Collaboration is extensively used by High-Tech companies. Even the recent enhancement requirements have come from High-Tech companies.
    Similarly, Kanban / SMI is extensively used by Automotive. But SMI is also popular with High-Tech.
    CP industry is biggest consumer of Responsive Replenishment process.

    Hi,
    You can copy the standard form and update or create from scratch based on the requirement. You will need to use SCA/DM_KANBAN BAdi to specify the new form.

  • KANBAN and Operation level confirmations

    We are planning to use the SAP KANBAN. Our company uses SAP 4.7.
    Currently they have visual KANBANs opearting in the factory.
    We plan to use KANBAN with Production Order strategy. The problem is that ,  we have multiple opeartions within one KANBAN cycle.  And question is,  can we use SAP KANBAN with milestone confirmations? So that if KANBAN cart moves from one opeartion to another, opeartor can scan the barcode  or by some other means can confirm  that opeation  as a part of KANBAN and then  with final confirmation posts the goods receipt of finished product.
    Any ideas?

    Hi Mankai,
    1) std SAP KANBAN on a status change do the final confirmation of the production order?
    Answer
    Yes, when you change the KANBAN status from Empty--> Full, then production order confirmation and GR against the production done automatically.
    2)  when status is changed from inprocess to complete, can SAP do the confirmation of the production order?
    Answer:
    When you made KANBAN bin Empty, then system triggers planned /production order. When you start actual manufacturing
    activity then scan the bar code and change the bin status from Empty --> Inprocess.
    So when you see the kanban board you can visualize the what are the production order execution activity are actually started.
    after completing the manufacturing activity then scan the bar code and change the bin status from Inprocess --> Full, then  system will do the confirmation of production order and GR done automatically.
    First you define the status as Empty --> Inprocess --> Full.

  • KANBAN with Quota arrangement

    Dear Guru,
    Ist possible to use Quota arrangement in KANBAN external Procurement (Scheduling Agreement)?
    If so, please advice me how to do it... i am new to KANBAN.
    Regards,
    Senthil

    Hi Kumara,
    As per my knowledge Quota Arrangement is not possible to use in KANBAN with Schedulling Agreement.
    However pls find below the process steps for KANBAN WITH SCHEDULING AGREEMENT:
    You can carry out KANBAN with Replenishment Strategy- External Procurement in following two ways :
    1.     External procurement from Vendor to Main Stores:
    Basic rules and Prerequisites:
    u2022     MRP type should be u2018NDu2019 in MRP1 view of material master.
    u2022     Availability check should be u201CKPu201D in MRP3 view of material master.
    u2022     Material received from vendor is directly posted to unrestricted stock. Inspection at vendors place or vendoru2019s process control to ensure rejection free material. Inspection set up in Material master should be inactive.
    u2022     Backflush is not required and Material is issued against a Pick List for Production Order.
    Process steps:
    1.     Create supply area for Main stores. TC: PK05
    2.     If required, extend the material to main storage location. TC: MMSC
    3.     Make the necessary changes in the material master as explained above.
    4.     Create scheduling agreement. Put kanban indicator (X) in the additional data of item.
    5.     Create Kanban control cycle. TC:PKMC
    6.     Print the barcode. TC:PK17
    7.     Set the kanban status to EMPTY by scanning the barcode. TC: PKBC. A Schedule line will be generated for the supply of material to main stores.
    8.     View the demand source view. TC: PK13n
    9.     When the material is received at Gate, perform goods receipt into blocked stock (movement type 103). TC: MIGO
    10.     Once the material reaches Main stores scan the barcode to FULL. TC: PKBC (At the background GR with 105 movement will happen).
    2.     External procurement from Vendor directly to shop:
    Basic rules and Prerequisites:
    u2022     MRP type should be u2018NDu2019 in MRP1 view of material master.
    u2022     Availability check should be u201CKPu201D in MRP3 view of material master.
    u2022     Backflush indicator is must. It can be defined in the routing or in the material master itself. If Backflush indicator is set in the material master, then the material will be backflushed through out the plant (Material issue not required against production order). However if you want the material to be backflushed only when it is used for certain products, then Backflush indicator should be set in the routing ( in the component allocation against operations).
    u2022     Confirmation should be done for each operation in the production order either individually (CO11n) or collectively (CO15). Confirmation posts goods issue of components (relevant to confirmed operation/s) to production order
    u2022     Maintain KN01 storage location in the field - production storage location of MRP2 view in the material master. Back flushing will take place from this location. Field - Storage location for external procurement should be KN01 in the material master.
    u2022     Material received from vendor is directly posted to unrestricted stock. Inspection at vendors place or vendoru2019s process control to ensure rejection free material. Inspection set up in Material master should be inactive.
    Process steps:
    1.     Create supply area for kanban stores (KN01). TC: PK05
    2.     Extend the material to Kanban storage location. TC: MMSC
    3.     Make the necessary changes in the material master as explained above.
    4.     Create scheduling agreement. Put kanban indicator (X) in the additional data of item.
    5.     Create Kanban control cycle. TC:PKMC
    6.     Print the barcode. TC:PK17
    7.     Set the kanban status to EMPTY by scanning the barcode. TC: PKBC. A Schedule line will be generated for the supply of material to kanban store.
    8.     View the demand source view. TC: PK13n
    9.     When the material is received at Gate, perform goods receipt into blocked stock (movement type 103). TC: MIGO
    10.     Once the material reaches shop, scan the barcode to FULL. TC: PKBC (At the background GR with 105 movement will happen).
    Hope this helps.
    Revert if any doubt and reward points if useful.

  • Kanban- issue

    Hi All,
          Actually My scenario is
    I configured a setting for some bulk material as kanban material and created a replenishment strategy with control type Direct transfer and issue the cost to the cost center with 201 movement type.
    I am moving the parts from storage location 1000 [Finished Material] to 2000 [Shop Floor]
    Here is I am facing a problem
    When I am doing the Kanban Container FULL to EMPTY through [Transaction PKBC] Parts are moved from storage location 1000 and cost is issued to cost center but I am not seeing any change in Shop Floor storage location qty its still remains same even after making the container full..........
    See example
    Part Number: ABCD1
    Part Number     Storage Location                           qty
    ABCD1            1000                                          100
    ABCD1              2000                                            5
    If I made the kanban container FULL to EMPTY, quantity is reduced as 99  from 100 for storage location 1000 and GI to cost center is happening but
    the stock is not getting increased in storage location 2000 even after make the container full.
    Kindly could any can help me to solve this will be thankful.
    Thanks in Advance

    Hi,
    You do the following :
    Go to  Tcode : PKMC ->Control Cycle Maintanance in Change Mode --->Select Control Cycle -> Details ( Glass Icon) -> Go to Flow Control Tab -> Status Sequence
    Check which status sequence is maintained because status sequence control change of status of KANBAN Bin & accordingly Stock Transfer happens.
    Check for your status sequence whether only two status EMPTY & FULL are only mandatory or some other status in between EMPTY & FULL like TRANSIT etc . status is also marked as mandatory if so then you have select status sequence accordingly having EMPTY---> FULL status only mandatory and rest are optional.
    You can status mandatory / optional by understanding following terminology for statuses in status sequence :
    +     Required
    *     Target
    .     Optional
    -     Not allowed
    You can check customization of your status sequence in  : OM16 ( Display View Kanban Status Sequnces : Overview)
    You can customize the required status as EMPTY---> FULL and vice versa and then in PKBC you select AUTOMATIC radio button so that system will select by default status as FULL after EMPTY and EMPTY after FULL when you scan the barcode.
    Even simply if you wish then try in PKMC in change mode -
    > Flow Control -
    > Status Sequence field as blank ( Don't select any status sequence) and then try.
    Try with above settings as I suggested.
    I hope which may resolve your problem.
    If not come back with more details of your Control Cycle Maintanance etc.
    Reward points if it works / helps.

    Hi,
    Detailed for each of the above find as below :
    KANBAN PROCESSES , PROCEDURES AND PRE-REQUISITES:
    1. Stock transfer from Main Stores to Production Line
    Basic rules and Prerequisites:
    u2022 MRP type must remain as it has been like u201CPDu201D or u201CVBu201D or any active MRP type.
    u2022 Backflush indicator is must.
Confirmation posts goods issue of components (relevant to confirmed operation/s) to production order
    u2022 Maintain KN01 storage location in the field in Production Storage Location of MRP2 view in the material master. Back flushing will take place from this location. Field - Storage location for external procurement (EP) should be MN01 (Main Stores) in the material master.
    u2022 KN01 - Kanban Storage Location stock is excluded from MRP.

    Hello,
    The first step if to find the PL/SQL line causing the error in 'cf_1formula':
    create a procedure Trace in your Reports : (modify the line trace_file := Text_IO.Fopen('d:\temp\rep_trace.txt', 'A'); to adapt the filename to your system)
    PROCEDURE Trace (trace_string in varchar2) IS
    trace_file Text_IO.File_Type;
    BEGIN
    trace_file := Text_IO.Fopen('d:\temp\rep_trace.txt', 'A');
    Text_IO.Put_Line(trace_file, trace_string);
    Text_IO.Fclose (trace_file);
    END;
    Then, add some calls to this procedure in the program unit 'cf_1formula'
    trace('Before line 1';
    <PL/SQL code of line 1>
    trace('Before line 2';
    <PL/SQL code of line 2>
    trace('Before line 3';
    <PL/SQL code of line 3>
    Excecute the Reports and find in the file 'd:\temp\rep_trace.txt' the last line executed.

  • Error while Adding a Delivery Note with Barcode

    When i add the deliverynote , i get the following error :
    Error Code : -10 : Document can not be added: Base line item has been updated, re-transmitting the document data from the base document .
    or
    Access violation error
    This happens only when i assign a barcode to the item in the Item Master Data ( Eg : ITM001 is assigned a barcode ) .This works fine when the barcode is not assigned to the item .
    What is the cause of this error ?
    Obj := IDocuments(Company.GetBusinessObject(oDeliveryNotes));
    Obj.CardCode         := 'B1010';
    Obj.Lines.Add;
    Obj.Lines.BaseType   := bodt_Order;
    Obj.Lines.BaseEntry  := 100;
    Obj.Lines.BaseLine   := 0;
    obj.Lines.ItemCode := 'ITM001';

    Hello,
    I had the same problem. This occurs. when you change the barcode between sales order and delivery note, and YOu are issuing the Delivery note by DI API.
    To do:
    - Open Sales Order
    - OverWrite in the lines the barcode to the same as Material Master Data
    - Update sales order
    Issue delivery note.
    SAP Note number: 1314220

  • Transaction BORGR: No tolerance on goods receipt for Kanban calloff

    Hello,
    we have the following situation:
    - MM scheduling agreement with tolerance of 10% for under and overdelivery, production supply "summarized JIT call" is set.
    - KANBAN cycle has 1 empty container with a summarized JIT call for replenishment, quantity 10 pieces.
    - ASN has been created with BORGR transaction, it contains: 1 line item for the material with delivery quantity 9 pieces, assigned to this line item is the JIT call with notified quantity 9 pieces as well.
    My expectation was that the JIT call can be booked with 9 pieces as it is inside the 10% tolerance defined for the scheduling agreement. In addition, I expected the KANBAN container be set to full.
    Instead, the following error message is given:
    'Post GR' carried out without success
    (Message no. BORGR215)
    Because of previous error, dispatching is not possible for ID 0180573431
    (Message no. /SPE/ID_HANDLING011)
    Inbound Delivery 0180573431 00010
    (Message no. BORGR210)
    Total of the summarized JIT calls does not match the current delivery qty
    (Message no. BORGR540)
    Changing the delivery quantity and the notified JIT quantity to 10 pieces, the goods receipt is booked correctly.
    I only found the following notes that deal with tolerances but they are outdated, as we are using DIMP release 603:
    https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/393421
    https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/508215
    Has anybody faced a similar problem or can help me with this?
    Thanks!

    Hello Jiaul,
    Sorry I may have mislead you.  The actual error message is "Goods Receipt for Production Order XXXX can only be made on 2010.08.25 to 2010.08.27".  These two dates are the Start Date and FInish Date for the Production Order in CO03,
    The Basic Start Date for the current Production Order is  2010.08.25
    The Basic Finish Date for the current Production Order is 2010.08.27
    I think what it means is that you can only Post Goods Receipt for the Production Order only after the Basic Start Date of the Production Order.  Do you know where I can find the configuration for this message?
    Thanks
