Keeping formulas intact when deleting rows in Numbers '09

In a Numbers spreadsheet, how do I delete (or add) rows in the body of the spreadsheet, without affecting lower rows which contain a formula?

Depends what you mean by "without affecting lower rows which contain a formula."
Formulas with cell references will adjust those references to fit the new circumstances.
Example: D9 contains =C3
Row 2 is selected and Table > Add Row Above is used to insert a new row (now row 2) above. Row 2 becomes Row 3, Row 3 becomes Row 4 etc. and the formula in D9 (now D10) adjusts to remain pointed to the same cell (what was C3) in its new position (C4). The formula changes to =C4
Rows 6 and 7 are then selected and deleted, which makes no change to row 4 and the current position of the target cell (C4), but does change the position of D10 to D8. The formula remains pointed at the same cell, still in the same position: =C4.
If Row 4 is then deleted (or if Row 3 was deleted in stead of Row 2 at the first step) a problem is created. The formula originally in D9 and most recently in D8 is now referencing a cell which is no longer part of the table, and will present an error triangle and the message "invalid reference".
Formulas with fixed cell references show the same results, indicating the "fix" is to the cell itself, not to the cell's address. Same table, same steps, but this time the formula in what starts out as D9 is =$C$3
D9 becomes D10, C3 becomes C4. The formula again changes to refer to the same cell: =$C$4
D10 becomes D8. C4 remains C4. The formula remains pointed to the same cell: =$C$4
Row 4 is deleted. C4 is removed from the table. D8 becomes D7 and returns the "invalid reference" error message.
But I suspect this is not what you are looking for. If that's the case, some clarification to the question would help.

Deadlock when delete rows with blob.

I have the following issue. I try to clean a table that contains a BLOB column.
To do this I use SQLDBC I create a statement that contains the LOB column, I fetch the line, load the Blob. and before fetching the next line, I send a delete request. and I fall in the deadlock.
If I fetch the next line before sending the delete request there is no deadlock, there is also no deadlock if i do not request le LOB column in the select.
In fact when I made select with LOB, there is the follwing line in DOMAIN.LOCKS

The database request a tab_exclusive lock on tableid 0000800000046918 but there is already a tab_share lock on this.
Do you why there is a lock on the table : tableid 0000800000046918 ?
How to avoid this lock using SQLDBC ?

Records added into the DB when deleting row in List

I have a list with an add button at the bottom. Every entry has a delete button on the left.
Whenever I create new entries and then delete some rows, the newly created entries are automatically saved.
How can I solve this? Deleting calls getOADBTransaction.commit(), is there a way to isolate deleting form saving?

When do some operations on Records from OAF page it maintains a list of state of entity, and on the basis of this state it performs the DML operations like insert/Update and Delete.
Your case is no exception if you are inserting some records OAF will mark these for insertion, deleted records will marked for deletion and on commit data will be posted to DB accordingly.
Still if you don't want to save the data, explictly change the VO Row status as Initialize(same as we do while inserting new record STSTUS_INITIALIZED) then OAF will not consider this row for insertion.

Deleting rows in Numbers without resorting?

I have about ten thousand items in a Numbers spreadsheet. In one column, I have a formula that, in the third column, writes "Same" if the numbers being compared in the first two columns for a row are the same, and "Different" if they're different. I want to remove all of the "Same" rows, but I don't want to lose my current sort order. If anyone can help me achieve this, I would be very grateful. Thank you!

Unfortunately "fill down" doesn't do it. For that many rows, enter one formula of =ROW() . Select that cell and copy it. Select the entire column (headers and all, just click on the column letter) and Paste. While the column is still selected, Copy/Paste Values to replace the formulas with the actual numbers.

Page not found error when deleting row in multirow form

I have a tabular form and when I try to delete one or more rows from the tabular section, I get the confirmation box pop-up window and then this error:

Emails keep coming back when deleted and marked as spam

I've got iPhone and iPad, both upgraded to iOS 7.1.2
I'm using several IMAP email accounts and on all of them I'm getting a very annoying problem.
When I delete or mark as SPAM an email, then it keeps reappearIng in the Inbox.
As far as I read on the Web, this is a well known and unsolved problem that many users experienced for the last 2-3 years.
How the **** is possible that Apple is unable to fix this bloody bug?!?
Did someone find a solution?

Keep transitions intact when importing mult. iPhoto images into iMovie HD?

Is it possible to import a completed iPhoto album show with hundreds of images with random transitions between each into iMovie while still keeping the random transitions between the iPhoto images intact?
If not, is there a way to select random transitions between the still images in iMovie once they get there rather than select and create each and every one of the transitions myself?

Because iMovie and iPhoto serve different purposes, each has features not found in the other. There is no way in iMovie to automatically add random transitions to slideshows, for example, while iPhoto offers that feature. (In iMovie, the assumption is the user wants absolute control over such features, wants to control each frame of the slideshow.)
That doesn't prevent you from having your cake and eating it too, however. Remember, many of the iLife apps allow you move stuff around between them.
For example, you can create a slideshow containing random transitions in iPhoto, export it to a QuickTime movie, import that movie to iMovie, add titles and songs, add some video from a video camera, add a voiceover narration, add some Chapter Markers, add an iMovie theme to introduce each chapter, then send the iMovie project off to iDVD to burn a DVD that plays on a TV.
So, check out the File > Export command in iPhoto. Set the exported movie to 640x480. The command will export your iPhoto slideshow to an MPEG-4 type QuickTime movie. Create a new MPEG-4 type iMovie project and import that movie to it. (Use the disclosure arrow towards the bottom of the window where you name the new iMovie project to select the MPEG-4 project type.)

IPhone keeps locking up when deleting e-mail messages

I have been doing some mass deletions of e-mails on my iPhone this morning and the thing keeps locking up.
I am pushing that "edit" button than the "-" symbol then "delete" next to each message in the list view. I'm doing it pretty quickly deleting one message at a time as fast as I can. (BECAUSE I CAN'T MASS DELETE MESSAGES!!!!)
Anyways, it keeps freezing on me. I have to hold the home button for like 5 seconds to make the iPhone come back to life each time. It's really annoying.
Is there a faster way to mass delete e-mails? Or, I am too fast for the phone and am I locking it up?

Delete Row In Matrix

Hello All,
I have a UDO and a form for it. The UDO has a child table, which is binded to a matrix in the form. Everything works well except Delete Row in the matrix.
If I don't do anything when Delete Row menu is clicked, the row is deleted. But as soon as Update button is clicked, a new empty row gets added to the matrix and the underlying table.
The same happens even if I catch the delete row event, do the delete myself and then set the bubbleevent to false.
Is this the default behaviour. What is the workaround to avoid this addition of new empty row.

Delete row in OO ALV grid toolbar

I am using OO ALV grid to display data. On the standard toolbar when delete row button is activated the relevant row is removed from the screen. The program catches this event only when Enter is pressed. Is it possible to catch it as soon as delete row is pressed?

You have to handle standard ALV toolbar. Even you can use Custom Toolbar. But you can handle it from Standard toolbar user command. Register events..

Numbers 09 continuing formulas when adding rows

Numbers 09 - I have a checkbook template but when adding rows at the bottom the formulas do not continue. I have tried adding rows from the last row "Add row below" and also while in the last cell hitting return. Neither of these work. Any suggestions?

The rule is quite explicit: "If all the body cells in a column above the new row contain the same formula or cell
control, the formula or cell control is repeated in the new row."
So far there's been some information necessary to solving the problem missing from your posts. Please do the following, and supply the requested information:
Unhide ALL rows. There are two ways to do this, depending on what was done to hid them.
a. Click on the Reorganize button. If the checkbox beside "Show rows that match..." is checked, uncheck it.
b. If the checkbox is unchecked, or if there are still rows hidden after unchecking it, go to the Table menu and choose Unhide all Rows.
Click on any cell on the table to activate the table and show the Column and Row reference tabs. Hover the mouse over the tab for Row 1, then click the triangle that appears to open the local row menu. Repeat with rows 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 until you find the first row whose menu starts with the item shown below. Which row has this menu item on your table?:
Now click on cell G2 (the first cell containing a balance).
Select and Copy the whole formula from this cell. Paste it into your reply to this message.
Repeat step 3 with the formula from cell G3. Paste it directly below the formula from G2, using the example below as a guide:

Add a column to the left of column A (it will become column A).
Assuming you want to start with the first "name" in Row 2 (and NOT number the header row):
Two methods:
1.
In cell A2, enter =ROW()-1
Grab the Fill Handle (small circle, bottom right of the selected cell) and drag down to fil the formula into the rest of the cells in the column.
If the formula is placed in ALL non-header row cells in the column, it will automatically fill into any rows added to the table.
If rows are inserted or removed, numbers below the inserted/removed row will be automatically adjusted.

In cell A2, enter a 1
In cell A3, enter a 2
Select both cells.
Grab the Fill Handle and drag down to the rest of the cells in the column.
These are fixed numbers. They will not be automatically filled into new rows added to the table, nor will they automatically update when rows are inserted into the table or removed from the table.
To add more numbers, select the last two cells currently containing numbers, drag the Fill Handle down.

Database, Dataset, Table Adaptors Error "Unable to load, Update requires a valid DeleteCommand when passed DataRow collection with deleted row"

Microsoft Visual Basic 2010 Express.
I am new to Visual Basic programing and i am trying to understand the relationships between Datasets, database, table Adaptors. I have to following code that is is giving me the following error" Unable to load, Update requires a valid DeleteCommand
when passed DataRow collection with deleted rows".
I can track the error and its located in "OffsetTableTableAdapter.Update(MaterionOffsetDataSet.OffsetTable)" code. What am i missing?
It seems that i can delete the data on the DataGridView Table and it only displays the correct data. but my database is not updating, even though the data grid displays differently.I can determine this because, when i save the offset database, i have all
the previous uploads and all the rows that i wanted to delete are still there.
My final goal is to be able to import offset data from a CSV file, save this data on the pc, send a copy of this data to a NuermicUpDown so the customer can modify certain numbers. From here they download all the date to a controller. IF the customer
needs to modify the imported data, they can go to a tab with a data grid view and modify the table. They will also have to option to save the modified data into a csv file.
Im not sure if i am making this overcomplicated or if there is a easier way to program this.

This error usually shows that you do not initialize the
DeleteCommand object, you could check this
article to see if you get a workaround.

If you are working CSV file, you could use OleDB to read it which would treat the CSV file as a Table:

which seems to be easier (in my opinion).
