Kernel Panic Problems

Question

Hello,
I got a new MacBook Pro last month. Since I have received it, I have had six Kernel Panics, which I think is unusual for a new computer. They always happen while I am doing something online, whether it is in Safari, Firefox, iChat, or Frontrow. Here is the report if you could help me. Thanks.

Hi, David.
The panic logs for Intel-based Macs are very different from those for PPC-based Macs. In fact, the Apple Developer Connection documentation has yet to be updated w.r.t. panics on Intel-based Macs.
Given the "invalid op code" and "invalid frame pointer" notations in the log, that would appear to imply issues with RAM, virtual memory, hard disk corruption, or possibly programming errors. However, that's an educated guess given that the Intel-based logs do not provide the same Trap Values as the PPC-based logs.

My FAQ is a roadmap: start at the beginning and work through to the end, following the instruction in the order specified, including the "If all else fails..." section if a cause or resolution is not found in an earlier troubleshooting step therein.
