Key Account Management BP : email function and enterprise directory

Hi,
we want to use the send email feature (email button in the activities view)in the creation of activities within the Key Account management BP.
I have several questions regarding this feature :
Is it possible to integrate it with our LDAP directory to do lookups of the recipients to whom you would like to send the mail to ?
Is there a way to restrict the possible recipients to only users of a particular domain. We don't want users to use this feature to send mails to people outside the enterprise.
Can someone send an email as another user ? i.e. Forge someone elses identity.

Have you tried doing an upgrade with the 5-database migration method, to see if the names stay the same?
I'm unsure why you're doing an export and import of MPP files - it seems cumbersome and sure it worked for 2007=> 2010 but that doesnt mean its the most effective and efficient. 
Unless you have a specified reason to NOT do it (requirements from stakeholders) - I would suggest testing an upgrade with the content database and 4 pwa database

  • Is there another way into an iTunes account? Besides email verification and security questions? I'm not trying to hack I have rather extrodinary circumstances!

    Alright so I had an iTunes account that as you'd expect was linked to my email. Long story short my email got hacked and hotmail shut it down because my email address which I could no longer get into was sending spam to all my contacts. Anyway I used to keep a lot of the same passwords for different things and I realised that I had the same password for my email as I did for my hotmail so I decided to change both the password and the email of my iTunes account but then I encountered some difficulties. I had to either answer the security questions or verify my email. I'd long since forgotten what I'd put for the answers of the security questions so now I was stuck. So I called apple and the guy helped me 'sort it out'.
    I got my new account with its new email and new password and new email. But here's the thing now I can't get any of my old purchases. I've basically lost everything! So I need to get back into the old account and I've managed to get my broken old email restored so it should work now. But it doesn't the verification email doesn't come through! I need to get back on my old account. Someone please help!

    You can't get any of your purchases because you created a new Apple ID, you didn't change the email on your old one. App and other content is forever tied to the Apple ID used to purchase it. There is no way to transfer them and no way to merge Apple IDs.
    You need to call Apple back, explain the situation and tell them you need to change the email on your old Apple ID - NOT create a new one.

  • Separate Accounts for Work Email (VPN) and Gmail

    I have 2 email accounts on my 8320:  one is a vpn for work and the other is gmail for personal and to take oversized files that my work server can't handle.
    i have successfully set up botht of the email accounts and am receiving messages.  the problem is that i am receiving personal gmail messages into my work account.  i have tried deleting the gmail account and readdding it, but the same thing happens each time.
    if you can help, please tell me STEP by STEP how to fix this.

    Are you sure about "VPN"? That would be, well, unusual to say the least ("not possible" might be a better description).
    Do you mean that your work email is BES? If so, then read this:
    By default, BES email is put only into the Messages icon/app. BIS emails are placed into their own icons, but they remain contained in the main Messages app. This is how it works by default. It is not redundant -- rather, think of Messages as the catch-all place, with the independent BIS icons being a filter, pulling (from Messages) to them only the messages that pertain to them...but if you act on an email (read, delete, etc.) in one, the change will be reflected in the other.
    Your BES Admin can push a BES-only email icon to your device. This solution is free, but must be conducted at the BES server, and will affect all users on that BES server.

    Or you can get the Empower BES Inbox application. This solution costs (per user), but does not require a change at the server, and only affects the one user.

    Or, if your device OS has the option, you can dictate what shows in Messages:
    Homescreen > Messages > BBKey > Options > Main Message List Settings > uncheck what you want to suppress in Messages
    Neither of the first two solutions will do anything about Messages -- it will continue to contain everything that it today contains. All they will do is activate an additional icon on your homescreen that is a filter for your BES-only emails. You can hide or move the Messages icon/app somewhere out of the way, but beware -- there are more than just emails that arrive in Messages...there will come a day when you have a new message flag and only by digging through Messages will you be able to find that message.

  • Itunes account with old email address and now I can't get access to music?

    Hi. I set my itunes up years a go on an old work email address,now my apple ID is a different personal email address. When I got my new iphone, the apple ID is my personal email address so my itunes account is now not linked. If I change my appleID on the phone I can see my music but then all my apps etc are all on my new apple ID and not my old email address! Hopefully that makes sense?!
    How do I get all my music from my old itunes account on to my new phone with a new apple ID?

    I registered an account for my husband and used the same email address as my Skype account. Now I'm having problems signing into my account and when I ask for a recovery code the emails I get are for his account. How can I either get my details or, alternately, delete his account? Thanks

    Go to Settings > iCloud, and sign out of the Apple ID there, then sign in with a different Apple ID.

    Where did you buy your Mac? All new Macs come with iMovie assuming you're buying from Apple or an authorized retailer.
    If you bought from a third party can you contact them and try to get the original DVDs that came with the Mac? They will contain iMovie.
    If that doesn't work you can still buy iLife '11 on sites like Amazon.

    My Iphone 4 is telling me the same thing and I believe I figured out what the problem is.  I had some fraudulent charges on my itunes account, so I call my bank and disputed the charges.  Right after I did that, I started getting the message "Your apple ID has been disabled."  I just realized today that the charges are not fraudulent, they are "in app purchases."  One of my daughters downloaded the game Top Girl which is FREE, but in the game Top Girl you use money in the game to purchase things.  It just so happens that the money you use to purchase things is real money MY Money!!!.  My daughter thought she was using play money in the game and had no idea she was using real money.  She spent $106.00 buying stuff.  Now I have to call the bank and tell them to release the hold and pay Itunes.  I'm hoping this solves the problem.  Here is the link to learn how to disable "in app purchase" on your iphone or ipad.

  • Skype account manager issues

    Just spent over an hour on chat with skype agent, finally was told OOOPS we are having a problem when a skype client tries to 
    a. remove a member from a managed account
    Here is my problem, I have 2 skype numbers under 2 skype accounts NOT manager accts, I am trying to just combine my skype existance and there is no easy way to do this. When you add an account manager you can only designate a phone number that is part of your account; since you have only one line you can only select the one number on the account. Once you select the number you will be able to enter an email address.   • Account Manager issues

    I have a single phone account in which my daughter will be using now for her cell phone.  I will remain as the account owner, but she will be paying the bills.  I tried to add her online as an Account Manager, but I can only add her name...not a cell phone number nor an email address,  There are no drop down menus or anything of that nature to add the information.  Is there an issue with that aspect of the Services or could it possibly be my browser?  I am using windows Internet 8.

  • Email functionality for delivery release via VKM3

    Dear All,
    My question is -
    When a delivery  is being released by the credit department by transaction VKM4 a message should be automatically send to the responsible person in the sales office with the confirmation that the delivery has been released.
    The message will be send to the @ mail (Lotus Notes) address.
    The correct person will be identified via the partner function VW Customer Service which is defined at header level and should be available in the sales order.
    I found the user exit Include RVKREFZ2 to be used for this.
    Can anyone guide how to use this email functionality and from where the relevant data can be picked up from?
    If any further clarifications are needed pls let me know.

    Trying to change the username, shortname and home directory on a new Macbook.

    This is my problem after trying the above article:
    I tried this but got stuck when it came to entering my password into terminal. After entering in the sudo command I hit return and saw the password prompt but when I tried to type my password in nothing happened at all as cursor never moved. I hit return again terminal tells me that there is no folder named "new user name" I restarted my Mac and tried it all over again and got the same message. When I go into the original account I see the shortname and home directory are changed but the username is the original one I started with.
    How do I make the password cursor move. Have I missed something?
    My Macbook if very new and I don't care what I lose on here. Thinking of doing a complete reinstall and updating all over again. Is there a way to fix this?
    Help anyone?

    I hit return again terminal tells me that there is no folder named "new user name" I restarted my Mac and tried it all over again and got the same message.
    Enter the actual old and new names into the Terminal instead of 'new user name'.

    Can you send any emails at all indicating that the mail app is working? Did you try any basic stuff yet?
    Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
    Close those affected apps and restart the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
    Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

    Since installing LTR 5.4, which I've now upgraded to 5.6, I've encountered repeated slowness and malfunctions in operations, especially when using the Compare View function and the Tab key to open and close the right and left side panels.  Such problems never arose during two years of using LTR-4 and nothing else has changed on my computer.  I have a pretty simple system with only a few plug-ins, which are usually not in operation.  I have 12GB of RAM in my Windows 7 PC.  I could illustrate these problems with screen shots if you would tell me how to submit screen shots.  Otherwise I will try to describe the problems in words.
    The problem is clearly cumulative, growing worse as usage time passes.  Compare View feature gradually slows down and eventually seems to choke as my work session proceeds. If I Exit LTR and re-enter and start all over, things will work normally for maybe 30 minutes, but then the Compare View feature begins to become very slow to respond.   In a recent example with my screen full of thumbnails in Library mode I highlighted two images to compare. LTR started to open the Compare View screen by first having the top row of thumbnails disappear to be replaced by the "SELECT" and "CANDIDATE" words in their spaces  (but no images), but Compare View never succeeded in gaining control of the screen. After some seconds the top row of thumbnails reasserted its position and the Compare View windows disappeared. But LTR kept trying to bring them back. Again the top row of thumbnails would go away, Select and candidate would reappear, try again, and give up. This went on for at least 2-3 minutes before I tried to choose File and Exit, but even that did not initially want to respond. It doesn't like to accept other commands when it's trying to open Compare View. Finally it allowed me to exit.
    To experiment I created a new catalog of 1100 images.  After 30-40 minutes, the Compare View function began to operate very slowly. With left and right side panels visible and two thumbnails highlighted, hitting Compare View can take half a minute before the two mid-size  images open in their respective SELECT and CANDIDATE windows. When the side panels are open and two images are in the Select/Candidate spaces, hitting the Tab button to close the side panels produces a very delayed response--25-30 seconds to close them, a few more seconds to enlarge the two images to full size. To reverse the process (i.e., to recall the two side panels), hitting Tab would make the two sides of the screen go black for up to a minute, with no words visible. Eventually the info fields in the panels would open up.

  • Oracle 10g and enterprise manager

    I'm obviously fairly new to the oracle arena, just having passed through a number of courses. I seem to have run into two problems with the installation that have me perplexed. Here are the details for one of them:
    I have oracle 10g up and running on an oracle enterprise linux server:
    SQL> select instance_name, status from v$instance;
    INSTANCE_NAME STATUS
    oci1 OPEN
    The listener is up and running and the oci1 database is dynamically registered:
    $ lsnrctl status

    Service "oci1" has 1 instance(s).
    Instance "oci1", status READY, has 1 handler(s) for this service...

    I started the dbconsole w/ emctl start dbconsole and it seems to be running:

    When I hit the web page, though, I'm never presented with a login screen and it says my database is down and that the agent can't connect to the instance. When I examine the log that's referenced in the dbconsole status, I see a number of errors such as:

    erifyRepositoryEx.433 - Invalid Connection Pool. ERROR = ORA-01017: invalid user
    name/password; logon denied
    I saw errors in the emoms.log file related to the sysman user so I unlocked the account.
    SQL> select username, account_status
    2 from dba_users
    3 where username = 'SYSMAN';
    USERNAME ACCOUNT_STATUS
    SYSMAN OPEN
    That didn't do the trick because not very long after, the account is relocked:
    SQL> select username, account_status
    2 from dba_users

    USERNAME ACCOUNT_STATUS
    SYSMAN LOCKED(TIMED)
    and, instead of the wrong userid/password, I'm getting errors about
    2009-06-09 22:04:58,586 [HttpRequestHandler-22472173] ERROR eml.OMSHandshake getParameterFromDB.402 - ORA-28000: the account is locked
    Anyone have any info on what I'm messing up?
    Appreciate any info/hints/tips/suggestions (as long as they're not "go back to unix admin") :)

    Hey;
    Thanks again for the response. I tried dropping the repository and got a whole bunch of errors. While attempting to enable the sysman account, I realized that my password contained some characters that have special meaning for oracle and I think that's what was throwing it. The errors with the repository convinced me to try one more reinstall. Bit overkill, perhaps, but that's the whole point of a practice box. Once the database was up and running, teh enterprise manager is fully functional.
    Now that I think about it, I wonder if that password could be responsible for my other schema issue as well...

  • Why can't I choose Apple Mail from Lightroom 4 Email Account Manager

    I know that the built-in emailer in Lightroom is pretty half-baked but I'm having trouble even getting limited functionality out of it. While many people report you can send an email and leave the "From:" menu blank and that will take you to Apple Mail if you select it from the Email Account Manager. But I never get that option. All of my options are webmail: Gmail, Hotmail, AOL, Other... No matter what I do Apple Mail is never an option. Truth be told, what I'd really like is to find a way to automatically attach the image to a Gmail webmail session in Safari or Chrome so I could have use of my address book but that seems like a pipe dream. I'll settle for Apple Mail. Can anyone help?
    Secondly, one of the other problems I have with the built in emailer is that Groups in the address book don't work at all for me. I've taken the time to input a bunch of addresses and then add them to a group. But I can find no conceivable way to automatically put that group in the To: field. It never comes up on autofill, can't drag it, nothing. I just have to manually type the addresses.
    Something must be wrong. But what???

    Apple Mail only appears if it's your default email client on the computer.  For example, I have my default set to Postbox so Apple Mail never appears.  It would appear in this pop-up:

    I can reproduce the issue with the groups and I'll get that bugged, thanks.  (There should be a checkmark in that Address Book dialog to allow you to check the whole group.
