Keyboard issue for Stop-A command

HI guys,
I've got a SUN Workstation Ultra40 with Sun keyboard with solaris 5.10 release 6/6 installed.
Their is no responds when I try a Stop-A command. Does anyone experienced the problem? Can some one help.

If you're able to be up in a functional Solaris environment,
for Solairs-SPARC and for Solaris-x86,
you can use the reboot command (with proper syntax).
As root user you do ...
# reboot -- -r <enter>
That is "reboot" <space> two dash marks <space> dash "r".
The paired double dash is the delimiter for the command,
telling it to expect a 'dashed' argument.
Glance through the man page.
That sort of a reconfiguration reboot method will reconfigure any new devices
for their device paths and append them to the existing path-to-inst file.
There is another command with Solaris 8 and newer,
than can rebuild the path-to-inst file and clean out any inappropriate paths.
Do ...
# devfsadm -C <enter>
The uppercase "C" will re-Construct, (or perhaps "clean") the file
for proper functionality, leaving only valid and current entries in path-to-inst.
Again, glance through its man pages.
I have never been a fan of the 'touch /reconfigure' method
of initiating a reconfiguration reboot. For some reason, it does not
always seem to work for me.
I use the reboot, as described, from up in Solaris,
else I use the reconfig boot option from within the bootloader,
which currently is GRUB in Solaris-10 x86.

I managed to buy the Chinese bluetooth keyboard and case for the Android Yoga 2 Pro 13.3 inch for 16GBP on Amazon which is about 10 USD delivered and I'm pretty sure they were selling the 10 inch too. I'm, still waiting for it to appear from Hong Kong but I already bought the 10inch version for my Xoom and as long as you can stand the US keyboard it is a great case/keyboard. Detachable magnetic keyboard with 30 hour battery life on a 3 hour charge! Lenovo should team up with them.
EDIT It has now gone up to 26 GBP for the 10inch Yoga version.

TS1263 Keyboard issue for macbook pro 13"

I'm using macbook pro 13-inch, Mid 2009. my keys from q to y sometimes working sometimes not. I thought it was the software problem. So after reformat the macbook pro, i still having the problem and I can't resolve the issue. Can anyone help to assist to fix this issue?

Need keyboard shortcuts for an old Power Macintosh please

Hi all
I’m try to copy 2 folders from the desktop of an old Apple Power Macintosh to a ZIP drive.
The mouse on the Power Mac doesn't work, so I’ve to use keyboard shortcuts to move the folders.
My problem is that I can’t find the right keyboard map on the web for a computer about 15 years old, and the OSX keyboard shortcuts don’t work on this computer.
As far as I can work out the Power mac is before G3 and is a 6000 to 8000 model. If anyone knows the shortcut to find the exact software version, that will be great.
So could anybody please suggest to me the keyboard shortcuts for the following commands:
Open ZIP dive folder
Move back to desktop
Copy folder on the desktop
Select ZIP drive folder
Past the folder from desktop to ZIP drive.
I can’t find any info on the web, so any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Under Mac OS 8 or later, you can select a file or folder in the current window (or on the desktop if no windows are open) by typing the first few letters of its name. You can also use the arrow keys. I don't remember whether these work in System 7.
Apple-O opens a selected file or folder. Apple-W closes the current window.
Apple-C and Apple-V are copy and paste, respectively, but I'm not sure if they'll work for copying files and folders. I'm not sure if there's a keyboard shortcut for moving files and folders.
If you can find "Script Editor" (it might be in a folder named "Applescript"), you could use it to write a script that will move the folders. Follow these instructions:
Find and open Script Editor. Apple-F opens the "Find" window.
In Script Editor, enter the following:
(Instead of XYZ and ABC, enter the names of the folders you want to copy. And instead of MyZIP, enter the name of the Zip disk.)
tell application "Finder"
duplicate folder "XYZ" of desktop to disk "MyZIP"
duplicate folder "ABC" of desktop to disk "MyZIP"
end tell
Press Apple-R. That should copy the folders to the Zip disk.

IPhone keyboard issues.

Been having iPhone 4S keyboard issues for about 3 months now.
In portrait mode- the P and 0 keys don't work (i.e. the key in the upper right corner) and in landscape the spacebar doesn't work
Sometimes keys will repeat themselves, and when you press the enter key occasionally it will just keep moving down.
Does anyone know what causes this?

You will have to relock the phone and see if that corrects the issue.
Once the phone is relocked, you will need to send it to Apple US and provide a US mail address to receive a replacement if they decide to replace it since you voided the warranty by hacking it.

IPad ios7 keyboard issues

After upgrading to ios7 my onscreen keyboard no longer works unless I un-connect my Bluetooth keyboard. In ios6 all I had to do was turn off the Bluetooth keyboard. Any ideas of a setting available to fix this?

Try going into settings, general and 'reset all settings'. that's solved some keyboard issues for folks. The downside, you will need to retweak your device.

Apple usb wired keyboard not working for MBP pro w/ 0 for stop on numeric k

Just got logic 8 and noticing that it does load up quicker with the new os update.
I'm going through the first getting started manual and I have a apple usb keyboard attached to my mac book pro.
When I press 0 on the numeric keypad it doesn't stop the sequencer it just plays this soft like error sound or something. space bar works for stop however.
Am I in the correct mode or what not? when I press 1, 3, 6 the views change, if there are different modes for the numeric keypad.
I need to get that 0 key working for stop as it says in the first getting started manual on page 18 under "To start and stop playback:"

The zero button doesn't work for screensets - there are no screensets with a zero in (ie, it goes from 9 to 11, there is no 10).
If you want your zero key to do something, use the key commands window to assign it to whatever you like.

Frustrated with HP lame reason for not repairing a keyboard issue

I recently called HP about a keyboard issue, where a the backspace key popped up and became detactched from the keyboard because the small latch broke under normal use. HP asked me to send the notebook back to them for replacement of the entire keyboard. When it got there, the case manager called back to tell me that they would not fix the keyboard because there was evidence of something being spilled on it. Although I don't recall any major spill on the keyboard I didn't deny that coffee drops may have reached the keyboard, nontheless that is not their concern and does not relate in anyway to the problem I resported to them. Yet HP refused to replace the keyboard and sent back as is. I must mention that the machine is functional and the spill has no effect on the operation of the machine. My frustration is with the broken key which affected my use of the keyboard.
In spite of my appeal to the case manager and customer support, they insisted that it's against their policy to fix the keyboard because of the spill evidence on the keyboard.
I am wondering if anyone else had a similar experience with HP service and particulary how they handled my service call. I am not accepting HP's lame reason for not fixing my keyboard and I was not happy I could nothing about it. I however use several HP products in my SOHO environment and this support incident left me with a bad experience.

Keyboard Shortcuts are created in the System Preferences app, Hardware section, Keyboard, Keyboard Shortcuts tab.
Select Application Shortcuts on the left.
Click the "+" sign on the right and in the dialog box that pops up, enter: "Export..." and your preferred key combination. Here's an example:
Keep in mind that when you enter the name of the action in a layered menu, such as File > Export..., or Share > Export..., you are only going to enter the last menu choice, not the higher levels.

Keyboard Shortcut for Record Start/Stop?

Soundbooth had keyboard shortcuts for everything except what I need. I just want to be able to record tracks without hearing the click of my mouse at the end. It seems like a pretty obvious and basic function, but I don't see anything in the help file on it. Is there some workaround?

With the Record dialog open, you can use the Space bar to start and stop the recording process.

Connect your iPad to your computer. Launch iTunes. Make sure your iPad is recognized in iTunes under Devices on the left.
Select the Summary tab then click Update.
Just to make sure your iPad software is up to date.

Commands for STOPPING admin and managed servers

I am writing a script for our application, which apart from building and
deploying application, also needs to stop and start both admin and managed
servers. Is there any command available for properly stopping the weblogic
servers? ( something that "initiates the shutdown")

Changing the default keyboard language for all users via command line

I have about 250 computers, that I set the wrong default language on.
I am hoping someone here can help me. I have 3 keyboard languages installed in my labs,
En-English (United States)
Fr-French (Canada)
