Keyword Filters bring 3 different results

Hello,
I have a Problem with filtering Keywords.
I set up a smart collection with one single criteria - search for a single Keyword: Number of pictures= 453
When I use the Metadata Filter for the same Keyword: Number of pictures= 405
When using the right hand Keyword List in the library: Number of pictures= 421
One thing is, that the smart collection filter shows also pictures with the keyword in the file name -> Bug?
thanks for listening.

Depends upon who you ask.
There are are those of us who believe items should propagate through a stack and others who do not. There are also some who think that component images (HDRs, Panos, etc) where multiple images are used to make a final, behave one way and other stacks behave another.

  • Keyword search brings up separate events,but I want results all together on the screen.

    A Keyword search brings up separate events that I have to scroll through, but I want to view all the photos together visually. How can I do this?

    Hi Terence, Thanks for trying to help.
    I'm using iPhoto '11 v 9.2.3
    I'm searching by clicking on the magnifying glass, then typing in the Keyword. It brings up the photos as separate events, which is not how I'd like to view them.
    As I've just read here, it seems like the way around that is to create yet another album, a Smart Album.
    This works great! But I just didn't want to add another album to my list.
    I was previously clicking on the mag glass, the choosing, "Keyword" in the pop up menu, and looking for my word, but now I have too many and the list is not scrollable!

  • How to Create a new column from two different result sets

    i got solutions for this is apply filters in column formula it self, based on the requirement.

  • Execute the same query twice, get two different results

    I have a query that returns two different results:
    Oracle Version : 10.2.0.1.0
    I am running the following query on the Oracle server in SQL*Plus Worksheet.
    SELECT COUNT(*)
    FROM AEJOURNAL_S1
    WHERE CHAR_TIME BETWEEN TO_DATE('12-AUG-10 01:17:39 PM','DD-MON-YY HH:MI:SS AM') AND
    TO_DATE('13-AUG-10 14:17:34','DD-MON-YY HH24:MI:SS')
    AND DESC2 LIKE '%'
    AND DESC1 LIKE '%'
    AND DESC2 LIKE '%'
    AND ETYPE LIKE '%'
    AND MODULE LIKE '%'
    AND LEVELL = '11-WARNING'
    ORDER BY ORDD DESC;
    The very first time the query is run, it will return a count of 259. The next time the query is run, lets say, 10 seconds later, it will return a count of 260. The above query is exemplary of the kind of thing I'm trying to do. It seems like the more fields filtered against '%', the more random the count return becomes. Sometime you have to execute the query three or four times before it levels out to a consistent number.
    I'm using '%' as the default for various fields, because this was the easiest thing to do to support a data-driven Web interface. Maybe I have to 'dynamically' build the entire where clause, instead of just parameterizing the elements and having default '%'. Anyway, to eliminate the web interface for the purpose of troubleshooting the above query was run directly on the Oracle server.
    This query runs against a view. The view does a transpose of data from a table.
    Below is the view AEJOURNAL_S1
    SELECT
    CHAR_TIME,
    CHAR_INST,
    BATCH_ID,
    MIN(DECODE(CHAR_ID,6543,CHAR_VALUE)) AS ORDD,
    MIN(DECODE(CHAR_ID,6528,CHAR_VALUE)) AS AREAA,

    FROM CHAR_BATCH_DATA
    WHERE subbatch_id = 1774
    GROUP BY CHAR_TIME, CHAR_INST, BATCH_ID
    So... why does the query omit rows on the first execution? Is this some sort of optimizer issue. Do I need to rebuild indexes? I looked at the indexes, they are all valid.
    Thanks for looking,
    Dan

    DanIn fact you the first time you ran the query the data has been retrived from disk to memory , in the second time the data is already in memory so the respnse time should be faster ,but if you chagne any condition or column or letter case the optimizer will do the first step (data will be retrived from disk to memory )

  • Select statement returns different results from 9i and 10g

    Hi all,
    Would appreciate if someone could help to solve this puzzle here:
    I have the exact the statements running on Oracle 9i and 10g, why do they return different results?
    Select unique(GroupDesc) , GroupSeq from Module where ModuleId in (Select ModuleId from User_Access where UserId='admin') and Status='A'
    In Oracle 9i:
    Both columns returned as follows...
    GroupDesc | GroupSeq
    In Oracle 10g:
    Only one column returned, the column with unique keyword was missing...
    GroupSeq
    Could anyone enlighten me?

    yes, the table structure... actually the CREATE TABLE statement...
    with some sample data (INSERT INTO)
    and the actual queries (both of them - copy-paste them from each separate environment)
    you can use tags around the statements this will format it to a fixed font - making it easier to read

  • Keyword filtering

    Keyword filtering in Adobe Bridge
    I'm a graphic designer trying to find a good system for sorting and browsing my stock images. I figured I'd use bridge since I've already got it as a part of CS3.
    Applying keywords is no problem, but I run into roadblocks when I try filtering.
    Basically, I want subtractive filtering. So if I filter by keyword 'woman', only the pictures with women in them will appear. If I filter further by 'blond', I want it to show me only blond women, not pictures of women and pictures of blond people.
    It seems like there is a way to do what I want, but I just haven't found the right button, if you know what I mean.
    Thanks.

    any ideas on how I can get back to that setting??
    If you want to search your database you must use the find command (first time be sure to include the options for subfolders and non-indexed files)
    Once your database is indexed fully you can search for woman. This should bring up a content window with all the pictures you have on your database with that keyword.
    Now your keyword filter panel is filled with all the keywords that are present in the files from your content window. If you want only the blond woman to show click once on blond and only the blond show.
    If you already have selected woman and blond just click again on woman and those files that don't contain blond should not show.
    If you want to clear the filter panel selection in one go there is a small red circle with a line on it bottom right of the filter panel, this clears all your filter criteria in one go.
    Is this about what you are looking for or did I not understand your question correctly?

  • Interactive Reporting Reports - Same Rpt Format, but Different Result Set

    I have created a report using result set 1. I've saved that, but want to copy it & use the same format/columns to create a new report using a different result set (the result sets have the same data, but one is filtered). Is there an easy way to change the name of the result set being used w/o re-creating the entire report columns & all?
    Terri

    I am in the Dashboard Studio - Optimize Utility. When I select that report (or any of the others), the Reparent button is grayed out on the toolbar. I've also tried right-clicking on the report and it's grayed out there as well. Any ideas?

  • How do i customize Location bar so it also brings up bookmark results where the title was manually changed by me?

    I added some bookmarks where I added more descriptive words to the title. Later when I type those descriptive words in the location bar the bookmarks don't show up. I even tried using the on-demand filtering command in location bar - meaning when you type "#" followed by words that you want firefox to match in the bookmark title, it will show up all the bookmark entries that have words matching in the bookmark title. That didn't work either! How do i customize Location bar so it also brings up bookmark results where the title was manually changed by me?

    Check that the Bookmarks Toolbar is visible and that the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is still placed on the Bookmarks Toolbar.
    If the menu bar is hidden then press F10 or hold down the Alt key, that should make the "Menu Bar" appear.
    Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"
    * Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout" (Linux, Windows)
    * Check that the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is on the Bookmarks Toolbar
    * If the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the Bookmarks Toolbar then drag it back from the toolbar palette in the customize window to the Bookmarks Toolbar
    * If you do not see the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" or other items that are missing in the toolbar palette or on a toolbar then click the "Restore Default Set" button

    First, copy your iPhoto Library to an external so that you have a backup.
    Second, see if you can create a new Library and have it open. To do this, open iPhoto while holding down the Option key. It will ask which Library to use, or allow you to create a new Library. Save the new library with a different name from the old one.
    If that does open with a new library, the old library is corrupt, but all the files are still OK.
    If it is a corrupt Library, iPhoto Library Manager can repair some corruption, or transfer the Library over to a new one.

  • Interactive report column filters to display differently than column values

    Greetings...
    We use images a lot in our interactive reports to provide a visual representation to a status, or something locked for update, or what-have-you. By default, when a user clicks the column heading of a column which contains images, the drop-down list that shows up displays the actual images, which is nice for the user to identify exactly which thing they want to filter on. The problem is when the user selects on of the options in the filtering drop-down, the resulting condition that is displayed under the interactive report search bar is the HTML code of the image. I'd like something else to display there because showing the user the HTML code is atrocious.
    I didn't think what I want is possible, but then I came across the Page Locks page within ApEx (page 4000:291 in ApEx 4.0.1) which displays a list of all the pages of an application and whether they are locked or not. It also allows you to bulk lock or bulk unlock a bunch of pages. That page uses an interactive report with a column called "Status" which contains images that represent whether the page is locked or not. When you click the "Status" column heading to filter, instead of seeing the images of an open and closed lock, you see the words "Page Locked" and "Page Unlocked." And even better... when you select on of them, the condition that is displayed to the user is very user-friendly.
    Can someone tell me how this is done so I can replicate it in my own apps?
    Shane.

    Why not create the IR using the text you require e.g. 'Lock', 'Unlock' and then use JQuery to replace the text in the report with the image you want. All the filters should then show the plain text and the report will display the image. e.g.
    http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=46801:1
    Here's what I did:
    Firstly make sure the IR has a region template.
    Then create a Dynamic Action with the following attributes:
    1. Advanced
    2. Event: After Refresh
    3. Selection Type: Region
    4. Region: [select the IR Region]
    5. Action: Execute JS Code
    6. Fire on page load: [checked]
    7. Code:
    $('td [headers="TEST"]').each(function(index) {
      if ($(this).text() == 'Lock') {
        $(this).empty().html('<img src="/i/htmldb/icons/locked_small.gif" alt="Lock" />');
      else {
        $(this).empty().html('<img src="/i/htmldb/icons/unlocked_small.gif" alt="Unlock" />');
    });Where TEST is the column name.
    That's it, this may also be of interest:

  • Oracle function and query return different results

    Hi, I am using oracle 10g database.
    Function is :
    create or replace FUNCTION FUNC_FAAL(myCode number,firstDate date
    *, secondDate date)*
    RETURN INTEGER as
    rtr integer;
    BEGIN
    select count() into rtr*
    from myschema.my_table tbl where tbl.myDateColumn between firstDate and
    secondDate and tbl.kkct is null and tbl.myNumberColumn  = myCode ;
    return (rtr);
    END FUNC_FAAL;
    This function returns 117177 as result.
    But if I run same query in the function seperately ;
    select count()*
    from myschema.my_table tbl
    where tbl.myDateColumn between firstDate and secondDate
    and tbl.kkct is null and tbl.myNumberColumn  = myCode ;
    I get different result 11344 (which is the right one).
    Table and function are in the same schema.
    What can be the problem ?
    Thanks.

    1. i think ur parameter name and Column names are same Firstdate and seconddate try to choose different name
    2. try using Trunc function around your dates
    where trunc(tbl.myDateColumn) between trunc(firstDate) and trunc(secondDate)then compare the result....sometimes time elements comes into play.

  • Filter expression producing different results after upgrade to 11.1.1.7

    Hello,
    We recently did an upgrade and noticed that on a number of reports where we're using the FILTER expression that the numbers are very inflated. Where we are not using the FILTER expression the numbers are as expected. In the example below we ran the 'Bookings' report in 10g and came up with one number and ran the same report in 11g (11.1.1.7.0) after the upgrade and got two different results. The data source is the same database for each envrionment. Also, in running the physical SQL generated by the 10g and 11g version of the report we get different the inflated numbers from the 11g SQL. Any ideas on what might be happening or causing the issue?
    10g report: 2016-Q3......Bookings..........72,017
    11g report: 2016-Q3......Bookings..........239,659
    This is the simple FILTER expression that is being used in the column formula on the report itself for this particular scenario which produces different results in 10g and 11g.

    Thank you for the info. They are definitely different values since ones on the header and the other is on the lines. As the "Won Opportunity" logical column is mapped to multiple LTS it appears the OBI 11 uses a different alogorthim to determine the most efficient table to use in the query generation vs 10g. I'll need to spend some time researching the impact to adding a 'sort' to the LTS. I'm hoping that there's a way to get OBI to use similar logic relative to 10g in how it generated the table priority.

  • PreparedStatement & regular Statement - different results for same select

    I was wondering if someone could either
    i) try this out for me to confirm my results or
    ii) let me know what I am doing wrong
    I'm one of the developers on a product and am currently investigating localization for the Thai language...just checking to see that Java and Swing have no problems with it. The only bewildering thing which has happened is noticing that some values which are fetched from the database display in Thai perfectly and other values display as a garble. Sometimes the exact same column is displayed correctly in one part of the program but is not OK in another part. I think I've figured out what it going on and suspect a bug in Oracle's JDBC:
    Some selects were configured as PreparedStatements and those return the Thai properly. The more common case however was for programmers to use a simple Statement object for their select and it is in those that the multi-byte strings don't get returned properly.
    The following code shows the problem that I am experiencing. I am basically executing the exact same select in 2 different ways and they are both giving different results as long as the column being queried contains a Thai character. If someone could grab and check it out and let me know if they see the same thing, I'd appreciate it. Just change the column/table name and the username/password/databaseIP to get it to run.
    <code>
    import java.sql.*;
    public class SelectTest {
    public static void main(String[] args) {
    try {
    DriverManager.registerDriver(new oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver());
    Connection conn = DriverManager.getConnection( "jdbc:oracle:thin:@10.4.31.168:1524:ora8",
    "dms_girouard",
    "girouard");
    String sqlCommand = "select C0620_Title from T0620_SwSheet";
    Statement statement = conn.createStatement(ResultSet.TYPE_SCROLL_INSENSITIVE,
    ResultSet.CONCUR_READ_ONLY);
    ResultSet resultSet1 = statement.executeQuery(sqlCommand);
    while (resultSet1.next()) {
    if (resultSet1.getString("C0620_Title") != null) {
    System.out.println("resultSet1 Title = " + resultSet1.getString("C0620_Title"));
    PreparedStatement preparedStatement = conn.prepareStatement(sqlCommand);
    ResultSet resultSet2 = preparedStatement.executeQuery();
    while (resultSet2.next()) {
    if (resultSet2.getString("C0620_Title") != null) {
    System.out.println("resultSet2 Title = " + resultSet2.getString("C0620_Title"));
    catch (Exception e) {
    System.out.println(e.getMessage());

    Hi Peter,
    Are you using NCHAR column for Thai , or is your database character set set for Thai.
    If you are using a NCHAR column for holding Thai data, then you have to use the
    OraclePreparedStatement.setFormOfUse(...) before executing the select.

    Elango. Hi Elangovan,
    Thank you for answering.
    The datatype on the column is VARCHAR2.
    I did my initial tests without doing anything special to make sure the database is localized for Thai, and I was happy to find that almost everything still worked fine - I was able to save and retrieve Thai strings to the database almost perfectly.
    The only problem I discovered was the difference between Statement and PreparedStatement selects on a column containing Thai. Colleagues of mine have said they see the same thing when testing on a Oracle database which has been configured specifically for the Thai customer.
    I read somewhere that the current JDBC drivers are using an older version of the Unicode standard than the most current version of the Java SDK and that it was causing some problems with Korean. I'm wondering if maybe it's the same problem with Thai.
