Kodo cannot find metadata for valid persistent class?
Hi!
I still cannot make 2.4.0 working. It just refuses loading valid
persistent class. I've tried to preload class by calling Class c =
Category.class but it didn't help.
Tried it on 2.4.0 RC3.
The stacktrace:
2002-12-05 13:56:14,377 ERROR [org.jboss.ejb.plugins.LogInterceptor]

Can you check what metadata you can see?
I gathered that you have an access to dWfStepName, and dID, but not to other metadata values - sounds like the values you can see are taken from workflow temporary files and if you want to have all the metadata of the item you will have to run a search query to get them. I would suggest to follow to other workflow screens (workflow_review_frames template), because there it is possible to see all metadata and you can get an idea what needs to be done.

Concurrent Manager cannot find information for your conc req in FND_USER
Dear All,
Our customer is facing this issue while submitting conc requests. The requests end up in a Error with the following message in the Diagnostics.
Concurrent Manager cannot find information for your concurrent request from FND_USER
Cause: Concurrent Manager found no rows while selecting information for your concurrent request from FND_USER .
Sometimes it does not happen. It happens only for HRMS users. We are not sure what is causing this issue.
Anyone has faced this already? Highly appreciate your suggestions / pointers towards solving this issue.
Thanks in advance!
HemHem,
Not sure if this is relevant here, but you may try to submit the following concurrent programs and see if it helps.
- "Sync responsibility role data into the WF table."
- "Synchronize WF LOCAL tables"
- "Workflow Directory Services User/Role Validation"
If the above does not help, enable trace/debug on any of those concurrent programs, and submit it again, check the concurrent request log file contents then (you do not have to generate TKPROF file, so skip this step).

I want to re-install Premiere Elelments 8, but cannot find downloads for version 8. I have the serial no. Where can I download the files for version 8?
Hi Jeff. I did purchase Premiere Elements 8 from Adobe (download version), but couldn't find the files to download again on the adobe.com website. I did, however carry out another search of files from my old PC and eventually found the files to reinstall on my new PC, using my registered product serial no. Installation has worked. It seems that Adobe has stopped supporting version 8 as I could only find version 9 and later for download from the adobe.com website.
Thanks for your prompt reply -
IDM with SQL server Error: Cannot find columns for the table...
Hi all,
I am Configuring IDM with SQL Server repository and ran into this error.
'Cannot find columns for the table 'object'
.....jdbc...[SQL Server]Invalid object name 'object'
Can anybody please help me!!
GYes, permissions are very important. I ran into a similar problem because I didn't have the correct permissions. Make sure the user has the following permissions:
CREATE ANY TABLE
ALTER ANY TABLE
DROP ANY TABLE
CREATE ANY PROCEDURE
EXECUTE ANY PROCEDURE
DROP ANY PROCEDURE
Also, make sure there is enough space in the default tablespace of that user.

I am trying to install IDM on my own laptop and use MS SQL Server 2000 as the repository. I run the create table scripts, copy all the jar files to C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 6.0\webapps\Idm\WEB-INF\lib. But I still got the following error message:
com.waveset.util.ConfigurationError: Cannot find columns for table 'object' ==>com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: Invalid object name 'object'
Does anyone have any idea of what may cause this problem?
THANKS!I found the solution to this issue.. is that the Database user ID must be set to the schema .. this is the statment that probably did not work:
CREATE USER <username> FOR LOGIN <login name> with DEFAULT_SCHEMA = <database name>
In sql 2005 expand the database... open security .. find the user.. right click and select properties.. in the default schema box.. select the SunSync database .. in the schemas owned by this user select the sunsync schema database..
good luck -
What does it mean if the system "cannot find driver for console framebuffer"?
I've just installed Solaris 7 on a SparcStation 20 with 256 MB RAM, 1 + 2 GB hard drives, 1xSuperSparcII. When I boot up it says "NOTICE:Cannot find driver for console framebuffer". I can't run the CDE, and I assume this is because there is no graphics driver. The graphics card (it's an add-on but by Sun) presumably needs a driver and I would have thought that this would have been included with the Solaris 7 CD. The whole thing worked fine when it was running Solaris 2.5.1 and now I've installed a new OS (initial as opposed to upgrade) it just don't work. Any ideas?
The "output-device" parameter may not be set properly in Open Boot Prom(OBP) and hence during installation, the driver may not be installed. To fix this, try the following steps.
1. Note down the current value for output-device. This value is to be restored later.
printenv output-device
2. Set the "output-device" parameter to "screen" in OBP
setenv output-device screen
3. Perform a reconfiguration boot using the command "boot -r"
4. The error will not appear. Verify that /dev/fb refers to a device link.
5. Go to ok prompt again and restore the output-device to its original value (as noted in step 1). The reason for doing this is that some resolution parameters would have been set earlier for your output-device.
6. Reboot the system again. The error may appear again but since the device link is already created, the CDE will work.
Please contact us if there are any issues.
Thanks

"cannot find symbol" error - password checker class
I had to make a program to check a password to make sure it had two letters, at least eight characters, and only numbers and letters. I'm pretty sure I have all of the checking correct but I can't make use of the method I made to do it. here is my code:
if(password.LegalPassword())
System.out.println("You enterend a valid password!");
else
System.out.println("You have entered an invalid password!");
class LegitPassword
//constructor
public LegitPassword(String userPassword)
public boolean LegalPassword (String userPassword)
int digitCounter = 0;
for(int i = 0; i < userPassword.length(); i++)
//is character a letter or number?
if(!(Character.isDigit(userPassword.charAt(i))) || !(Character.isLetter(userPassword.charAt(i))))
return false;
//is the password at least 8 characters?
if(userPassword.length() <= 8)
return false;
//count the digits
if(Character.isDigit(userPassword.charAt(i)))
digitCounter ++;
if(digitCounter <= 2)
return false;
return true;
}oh, and the exact error is:

Hi
I am a new comer to the JDO and KODO world.
My question is about the MetaData. So far, it seems to me that the only way
to create MetaData for a class is by coding it manually. I haven't found any
utility for that mentioned in Kodo documentation.
Is that really so? It is pretty surprising if it there is no automated tool
to create a generic metadata.
If this is indeed a manual process, I would like to know the experience of
people in this group; is this just a minor annoyance or significant work.
Thanks
ZafarThanks for the pointer; this is very useful. Will surely use it when we move
to actual development.

If you are not mapping to an existing schema then the metadata is
simple, and even Xdoclet is overkill (IMHO).

Cannot find symbol for some jms methods
Hi, I'm new to JMS and am having trouble compiling the HelloWorld example. I am able to create a connection but for some reason I cannot create a session from the same connection. I am however able to call some of the other methods such as getClientID, start, and close. Below is a copy of what i have compiled so far (which is basically a copy of the example code), the error message I get, and what I have CLASSPATH set to. If my CLASSPATH is not set correctly, I would assume none of the code would compile which is very confusing. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Can you move jms.jar and imq.jar in front of that old j2ee.jar?

Cannot Find Documentation for DAQmxSetTrigAttribute
Dear all,
The example program that comes with NIDAQmx (DigPulseTrain-Cont-PauseTrig) uses a function called DAQmxSetTrigAttribute but I cannot find any documentation on the use of this function or any of the others in the same block within the NIDAQmx.h header file:
The example program contains the following lines:
DAQmxErrChk (DAQmxSetTrigAttribute(*taskHandle,DAQmx_PauseTrig_Type,DAQmx_Val_DigLvl));
DAQmxErrChk (DAQmxSetTrigAttribute(*taskHandle,DAQmx_DigLvl_PauseTrig_Src,triggerSource));
DAQmxErrChk (DAQmxSetTrigAttribute (*taskHandle, DAQmx_DigLvl_PauseTrig_When,pauseWhen));
And the NIDAQmx.h header file contains these function definitions:
int32 DllExport __CFUNC_C DAQmxGetTrigAttribute (TaskHandle taskHandle, int32 attribute, void *value, ...);
int32 DllExport __CFUNC_C DAQmxSetTrigAttribute (TaskHandle taskHandle, int32 attribute, ...);
int32 DllExport __CFUNC DAQmxResetTrigAttribute (TaskHandle taskHandle, int32 attribute);
Does anybody know what the different parameters are and how to use these functions?
Regards
Martin DaleThe attribute ids that are valid for the DAQmxSetTriggAttribute() are in the NIDAQmx.h file can be found under the heading
"//********** Trigger Attributes **********"
These include attributes for start, reference, pause, and arm start triggers.
I hope this helps!

'Cannot find symbol' error after putting class into package
I'm sure this is probably just a stupid mistake that I am making somewhere, but I can't figure it out.
I have written a Java program, "LineConsole.java" and an interface, "LineConsoleKeyListener.java". LineConsole.java uses the interface (it does not implement it... it uses LineConsoleKeyListener objects in the program). If I put the two .java files into the same directory and compile them, everything works.
So now I want to put them in a package called "LineConsole". I thought all I had to do was move the two files into a folder called "LineConsole" and add "package LineConsole;" to the top of each file. I did that, but now LineConsole.java does not compile. It complains that it cannot find the LineConsoleKeyListener interface, even though it's right there in the same directory.
What am I doing wrong? Do members of a package have to import themselves or something?
Thanks!

L4E_WakaMol-KingThanks guys :)
It's working now.
One more question...
Right now I have 3 files in a folder names "LineCon":
- LineConsole.class
- LineConsoleKeyListener.class
- wincbreak.dll
If I copy that directory into the same directory as some other program I am writing, I can use those classes just like they are in a package. But is there any way to zip that package into a jar file? I know how to create jar files, but is there a way to make them behave like packages?
I have tried creating a jar file with the individual files and also with all three files in a directory. The jar file is created successfully, but I cannot copy that jar file into the directory of a program and use the classes within it as if they were a package.
I guess my ultimate question here is... how do I import a .class file that is in a jar file? -
Cannot find JDI for EP7.0 !
Hello experts,
I am supposed to install JDI on our environment (EP7.0 SP11) but I cannot find the particular Support Packages nor I can find installation documentation. I was not a problem for ver.6.40 but this NetWeaver 2004s version is a different story.
Please help to desperate rookie, points are guaranted!
Regards,
FrankHi,
You've 3 options as I know.
Option1:
Refer to page 98 on SAP Netweaver 7.0 Installation Guide for Java.
From NW7.0 these are called Usage Types. (Usage type for DI - Development Infrastructure)
The following is an excerpt.
After SAPinst has finished, you need to run the configuration task for usage typeDI using the
Configuration Wizard.
1. Under Scenario choose DI.
2. Decide whether you want to install and run the entire NWDI on this system or configure the
services individually:
Recommendation
We recommend that use the first option shown below, to install and run the entire NWDI on
this system.
n To install and run the entire NWDI on this system, perform the following steps:
a) Choose the Scenario DI
b) Choose All-in-one Complete Configuration of DTR, CBS, and CMS
c) Fill the open fields in the section Data Entry according to their label.
d) To run the configuration task, choose Execute Template.
n To configure the services individually (DTR, CBS, CMS) ‒ for example, because you have
distributed the usage type DI to different servers ‒ perform the following steps:
a) Choose the Scenario DI
b) Choose the service you want to configure, Design Time Repository, Component Build Service, or
Change Management Service.
c) Fill the open fields in the section Data Entry according to their label.
d) To run the configuration task, choose Execute Task.
e) Choose the items that you need from Design Time Repository Configuration, Component Build Service,
and Change Management Service.

5 Post-Installation
5.16 Checking the SAP Java Documentation
Note
Before performing any database settings make sure that you have read SAP Note 889038.
3. If you are using a new Oracle database installation, perform the step Set Oracle Parameters for DI.
Caution
Do not use this for an already configured database because it overwrites previous settings.
4. After the Configuration Wizard has finished, you have to restart the engine as described in SAP
Note 919942.
Option2: (you need to have service marketplace id)
Alternatively, you can download the necessary SCA files and deploy them on the Server by SDM and follow post configuration steps.
https://websmp105.sap-ag.de/swdc
Download -> Support Packages -> Entry by Application Group
Support Packages and Patches -> SAP NetWeaver -> SAP NETWEAVER -> SAP NETWEAVER 7.0 (2004S) -> Entry by Component -> Development Infrastructure
You'll need
DI CHANGE MGMT. SERVER 7.00
DI COMPONENT BUILD SERVER 7.00
DI DESIGN TIME REPOSITORY 7.00
Setting up NWDI:

Option3:
Use Solution Manager (i've no idea)
Hope that helps.

Cannot find Internet for RESTORE but can go to ITunes Library
I have the 40gig IPod attached and seen by ITunes. I am able to go to the ITunes store without a problem. But when I want to Restore or Check for Upgrade, message says it cannot find connection to the Internet. Yet I can get on the Internet with Windows Internet Explorer immediately.
I am running Windows XP. Any suggestion would be appreciated.There could be a few issues here...
First: Is this a business computer? If so, you may want to check in with your IT department and have them up the security level of Itunes...
I'm guessing you may have updated itunes recently...
Secondly: If its a personal computer check your firewall... When you update itunes it is considered a new program by your firewall programs...(IE Mcafee/norton/windows firewall) What you will need to do is adjust your itunes security levels, allowing itunes to have full access to the internet.
Thirdly: If you arent the Administrator on this computer it may be a simple setting in your accessibility options.
If you have any more info i may be able to be of more service to ya.
