Kodo support for Pointbase Micro

I notice that the documentation mentions support for Pointbase 4.2
Pointbase JDBC driver 4.2. I also notice that Pointbase Micro uses "a
subset of JDBC as the API". Is there any hope that Kodo JDO would work
with Pointbase Micro, or is this a lost cause?
Cheers,
Cameron Ross.

Cameron-
Pointbase Micro has 2 different APIs: one normal JDBC one, and the
"Lite" one. The former may very well work with Kodo. It is untested, but
since Pointbase Embedded is supported by Kodo, so there is a good chance
that it will work fine.
The "Lite" API (which is designed for the CDC) will not work with Kodo,
because it is not actually a JDBC implementation, but a "JDBC-like" API.
We are investigating providing Kodo support for J2ME in the future. If
you have any questions or needs concerning this support, please share it
with us at [email protected]

  • No ext4 support for the micro SD

    I have a 64GB micro SD card that I formatted to ext4 and works without any problem in my LG GPad 8.3 Android 4 tablet and Linux computer.
    I tried it in my Z1C, but it tells me the SD is damaged.
    When is Sony going to add ext4 support for the micro SD port?
    It can't be that hard, as Android is based on Linux and Linux has support for ext4 for several years now.

    As far as I know,only exFAT is supported for now.Contact xperia care for more info:

  • RAW support for new micro 4/3 Panasonic GF-1

    Hi everyone, I've just preordered my copy of the new micro 4/3 Panasonic GF-1! I've sent in my feedback request for the RAW format to be supported by Aperture and thought it would be good to start a thread here to get the popular vote going!
    I assume it will be easier than the LX3 since that little camera had serious barrel distortion issues that had to be corrected in the RAW conversion (and doubtless that it was a difficult thing for Aperture to be able to support that). With this camera there are no such issues.

    hey..it's been more then 2 years since canon changed their tethering protocol and apple still hasn't gotten around to working out a solution.....but i guess that makes sense since that only afects every canon dslr sold int he last 2 years.....that is not that many....
    on the other hand, maybe you should wait for the camera to actually be released and available to ask for raw support? apple is usually the last of the raw converters to support new cameras.....but imo it is always worth the wait....

  • NAC Support for Trend Micro Office Scan 10

    Hi Guys,
    Does any one know when will Trend Micro Office Scan 10 be supported on NAC?
    Regards,
    Adrian

    Adrian,
         If you are running the 4.8.0 NAC Agent we should be releasing a new compliance module within the next week or so.  I am not sure what AV software will be added but there is a good chance this will in in that compliance module update.

  • AUDIBLE SUPPORT FOR MICRO WHEN???

    What is wrong with Creative, and not giving audible support of the creative micro. Is there any plan at all? Creative, why are you limiting the capabilities of you MP3 player? Why are you depriving your customer of have access to Audible audiobooks support? WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO HAVE AUDIBLE SUPPORT FOR CREATIVE MICRO?

    It may be true that Creative did not advertise Audible support with the Zen Micro, but some of its retail partners did. Crutchfield had a special sale with a $00 discount toward a Zen Micro after subscriibing to Audible.com. Also, the main competition for the Micro is the iPod Mini, and it fully supports Audible files. I would think Creative would want to eliminate that competiti've advantage before too many people realize the only choice is to go to an iPod if they are Audible subscribers. I can't believe there is a technological barrier here, so it must be a licensing issue with Audible and other content providers such as Napster and Music Match. Why else would Creative leave us in the learch?
    Without any hope that Creative intends to provide Audible support, I think it is time to put my Micro up for sale on e-Bay switch to an iPod Mini. Apple got where it is by listening to its customers...

  • New in Kodo 3.3.3: Improved support for Java 5 enums and generics?

    Hello,
    Can anybody tell me if Kodo 3.3.3 can be deployed on WebLogic 8.1 sp4, jdk
    1.4.1? The reason I ask this is because one of the features mentioned for
    v3.3.3 is the support for Java 5 generics, which is available on WebLogic
    9 -- but not in WebLogic 8.1 sp4. The documentation for Kodo 3.3.3 seems
    to indicate that it can be deployed on WebLogic 8.1 -- can anyone tell me
    if this is accurate?
    Thanks for your help!

    Correction:
    I think that my question may have been misunderstood. What I want to know
    is if Kodo 3.3.3 can be deployed on WebLogic 8.1sp4 which is running JDK
    1.4 or do I have to deploy on a newer version of WebLogic that is running
    Java 5?
    Thanks!

    Rita,
    While Kodo 3.3.x can work with JDK 5, it cannot make WL work with JDK 5.
    However, Kodo 3.4 RC 3 / 4.0 EA 2 both can work with WL 9 (which works
    with JDK 5).

  • DRM 10 Support Announced for Zen Micro

    The announcement says that it'll be available this quarter
    http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/p...sForSurePR.asp
    Creative announced its Zen Micro now has updated firmware to support PlaysForSure including support for Auto Sync and Playlists using Windows Media Player 0 as well as online music stores. Additional updates that include support for PlaysForSure online music subscription services using Windows Media DRM 0 will be forthcoming for the Zen Micro, Zen Touch and Zen Xtra players, and be available in the first quarter of 2005.

    Thanks for letting us know, although Microsoft did say MTP support was coming for the Touch and the Xtra in November

  • Zen Micro - Support for Naps

    Any news on support for the new Zen Micro using Napster ?

    It tends to be Creative policy not to give dates or future features until they are actually complete and the firmware is ready for download.

  • New accessories for Zen micro? New firmwa

    i'm most likely gonna buy the zen micro tonight. i figure that it is creative's new "flagship" model so that means its prob. gonna get the most firmware, acc., and most support. if anyone has a reason i shouldnt get it let me know, i've read all the stuff about freezes and everything, but i'm sure by christmas there will be plenty of firmware for all these probs. hopefully lol. also, are there any 3rd party accessories for the micro, like skins or cases or anything? any new firmware about to be realeased?

    In Japan, the remote comes with the Zen Micro (still doesn't justify the $80 dollar price increase!!). I tried using the remote and found it to be a waste. I wouldn't bother buying it. When I am wearing a jacket I put the Micro in my jacket breast or side pocket. When I am not wearing a jacket, I use the case and belt clip.
    Unless you make massi'vely long playlists and would thus keep the Micro in your bag for LONG periods of time, the remote is essentially useless. It only has volume, puase, play, and next track controls, and no display of course.
    Just my thoughts on the remote. The clip sucks on the remote too. It's too small to clip to the strap on my bag securely.

  • Support for "Interface Based Design"

    I would like two PC classes that implement a common interface, but the two
    PC classes are not related by inheritance, and would not be stored in the
    same table. For example,
    public interface VersionNumber {
    int getNumber();
    boolean isComparableTo( VersionNumber vn );
    /** PC class **/
    public class BasicVersionNumber implements VersionNumber {
    /** PC class **/
    public class CustomVersionNumber implements VersionNumber {
    /** PC class **/
    public class Paper {
    VersionNumber vn;
    Since "BasicVersionNumber" and "CustomVersionNumber" are not related via
    inheritance, they would not generally reside in the same database table.
    It would mean that the table containing "Paper" would need both the target
    table for this instance of "vn", and the primary key for "vn". It appears
    that KODO assumes the target table is available in the Meta-Data file, but
    with interface-based design, that is not known until run time and could be
    different for different instances of class "Paper".
    Is it possible to do this with KODO? Where can I go to understand how.

    Kodo supports interfaces as fields (in Kodo 3, we support interfaces for
    more relation types). Kodo will store the toString () of the JDO
    identity for the actual concrete instance in the column as there is no
    formal O/R relation between the table and the interface field type.

  • RAW support for Olympus OMD EM5

    Outfitting for a year long back pack trip. My MacBook Pro is going. Am in processof purchasing an Olympus OMD EM5 micro 4/3 camera for the trip. I use Aperture for photo processing. Any idea when or if  Aperture will add support for developing the RAW shots from the EM5?
    thnx

    The usual interim approach for raw support has been to use Adobe's DNG converter to create DNGs that Aperture could read. This has always worked with the esception of non-Bayer sensors like the Foveon in Sigma cameras. But I can't get Aperure to read DNGs created from my E-M5's ORFs using DNG Converter v6.7 and have no idea where the problem lies.
    It's taken Apple months to support Olympus cameras in the past, so I'm not optimistic.

  • Support for suing sql directly.

    Hi All,
    I'm new to Kodo, does it support using native sql in JDOQL? that is,
    directly coding my queries in sql and passing them to JDOQL to parse and
    execute?
    If not available, is there any plans to integrate this feature or similar
    ones ?
    thanks.

    Just to clarify, Kodo supports using SQL at every level:
    1) JDOQL/Query - Query Extensions
    2) Custom Result Object Provider - issue total custom SQL queries
    2) Mapping - See our customSQL for examples
    Stephen Kim wrote:
    There is no direct support for using SQL however most of our users can
    accomplish the same thing using our Query Extensions (see our docs)
    which allow you embed an entire where clause if so desired.
    I think using SQL -instead- of JDOQL is on the project plan but I'm not
    sure of the time frame.
    Also, note that one can usually get around this limitation by using
    Custom Object Provider. See the customSQL sample included in the
    distribution for examples of this. This example includes a number of
    different examples, but the main one to note is the
    PersonResultObjectProvider portion.

  • About Support for DB drivers...

    Acoording to the Sun ONE Application Server 7 Release Notes the supported database drivers ONLY includes two Type-4 JDBC drivers, one for Pointbase and the other for Oracle 9 databases.
    What happens with the rest of DB vendors?
    Can I, for instance, use a PostgreSQL or SQL Server JDBC driver with the application server?
    What does "supported DB drivers" means concerning the application server?
    Kind regards,
    Carlos

    The supported & certified drivers means that they have tested this inhouse and works fine. I guess there is no harm in using other drivers as long as they are jdbc spec complaint. It should work as well.

  • Support for LDAP

    Hello,
    My question is quite simple : do you plan to support LDAP for Kodo ?
    Regards,
    Dom

    We don't have a timeline for LDAP support. Of course, we offer an
    AbstractStoreManager to aid you in adding your own support for other
    data stores. There is a complete sample for a simple XML store in the
    Kodo download. If you'd like to talk to us about contracting for
