KSCB_IAA with Business processes

Dears,
i need to create an allocation cycle with the aim to move variable costs from cost center to business processes by maintaining these costs as variables (then through Indirect Activity Allocation Methodology).
I found out the note u201C541858u201D, from which seems possible to move costs from Cost Center to Business Processes by maintaining these costs as variables. Nevertheless, Iu2019m not able to configure the cycles in the correct way.
Someone can explain me what does it means the following sentence I found in that note
u201C+ tracing factor actual or plan activityu201D used for a receiver business process"
Does it mean that the actual or planned activity is referred to the business process?
Someone can confirm me  that is it possible to move costs from costs centers to business processes by maintaining these costs as variables? In which way? Are there particular parameters that I have to set-up? From the note it seems so, but Iu2019m not able to make this work.
Many Thanks
Chiara

Hi,
Integration can be done both ways:
- You can call an iBot from any business proces via webservices.
- You can call a business process (i.e. BPEL proces) from an iBot through a custom java script.

  • Problem with Business Process Publisher and AIA

After installing AIA 11.1.1.5, I installed the Business Process Publisher following the instructions in the AIA Installation Guide at http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E21764_01/aia.htm, sec. 8.3: "Manually uploading reference process models to business process publisher".
Since I could not find the Publisher installation files in the AIAFP install I downloaded from OTN, I used the Publisher installation files from the BPA OTN download (files Oracle_BPA_Suite_11.1.1.4_OTN_1of2.zip and Oracle_BPA_Suite_11.1.1.4_OTN_2of2.zip - I did not install BPA before installing Publisher).
Now when I launch Publisher the login page says "Currently, no exports are available. You can only log in to the administration area at this time". If I login, the new page does not show any AIA contents, only the message "There are currently no profiles available". (I am not sure which “exports” and “profiles” it is talking about).
Evidently something is missing, but I cannot figure out what.
    Thank you,
    Ugo

    Hi TAB--
When you installed the platform, did you install the whole thing, or just part
of it? If you chose not to install the examples, or if you chose not to install
Integration, that would explain this behavior. If not, we'll try to go from there...

  • Help with Business Process

I am a newbie to XI world and am trying to implement the following.  Create a scenario where a HTTP client calls a BAPI (creating a PO) synchronously, wish it would have been the end :).  There 3 steps in PO creation, one is to create from one company code to another and create the same quantity and material to a vendor and acknowledge to the web client about the PO creation status.
Since the above is a sequence and a process, I am assuming I have to use BPM capability of XI.  If answer is yes, then any business process has to be implemented through BPM, am I right in concluding this?
Am more looking at direction than any particular answers, if anyone can guide me I will find my way out.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions
    Sunil Achyut

    Moorthy
Thanks for your quick reply.  But if I wrap all my logic in BAPI then there it would become a real big one and moreover there is a sequence in my process:
    1) Create a PO from company code A to company code B
    2) Create a PO from company code B to vendor
    3) On the return an shipping notice would trigger creating a delivery and doing a goods receipt and goods issue for the two PO's created.
Since the above is a business process I was thinking it would be better if I use BPM instead of using a single BAPI for everything.  Am I incorrect in my thinking?

  • Monitoring proxy abap in business process monitoring

    Hi
Expert. Iu2019m working with Business Process Monitoring in my Solution Manager 7.0 sp20.
I would to monitor the communication between SAP ECC and SAP PI.
SAP ECC and SAP PI communicate by proxy.
I would know if can I monitor the proxy abap using SAP PI Message Error Monitoring based on Message-Based-Alerting (RWB).
I have just defined the alert category in abap stack and in RWB. In RWB I have inserted all information in u201CConditionsu201D fields  and in the u201CWhere did the error occur?u201D fields I have chose:
    Integration engine : XI Proxy
    Error Code: *
Is this the correct procedure to monitor a proxy abap?
    Thanks a lot
    Giou2019

    Hello Giovanni,
The described procedure looks correct in general. If you have set any restrictions in "Conditions" fields than you will only monitor on these specific message. If not all message will be considered which turn into a error status on the ABAP Proxy.
For information regarding the PI/XI Message Based Alerting please refer to service.sap.com/bpm -> Media Library -> Technical Information "Setup Guide - Interface Monitoring".

  • Business Process Management - End-to-End Analysis and Performance KPI's

    Hello,
I am from WB and were looking to expand our footprint with Business Process Monitoring.
For critical business processes (order to cash, release to accounting, procure to pay; create shopping cart, etc.) how can be map and determine for the business units the expected run times as well as capturing / reporting historical trend analysis; looking at from a company business process level and not an SAP transaction level.
We were disappointed that we were unable to find this detailed functionality in SolMan (dashboards, metrics, customizable reports, etc.) that  could tell us how long a WB business process takes to execute form start to finish.
Does anyone have any info as to if NetWeaver BPM  can capture and trend the complete A-Z run times of a Business Process?
Iu2019m I missing something here?! I would think something this basic would automatically be a part of SolMan BPM Monitoringu2026
    Appreciate all and any feedback.

  • Solution Directory - How to lock a business process for a implement project

We have Solution Directory assigned to a maintenance project and I understand the checkout/checkin process and how it locks the business process in the Solution.   What is the best practice when  you are starting a new IMPLEMENTATION project that will impact existing business processes that are in the Solution?  I know that I can copy from the solution to build the new project, but it doesnu2019t lock the BP from the solution.
I have a new Implementation project, that i want to checkout/pull existing business processes for the Solution Directory.
*How can these Business Processes be "locked" in Solution Directory as they are with a Maintenance project?*

    Kelly,
You would use the maintenance project to make daily modifications.
Consider the case of a O2C business scenario. You need to almost make daily configs etc, which get pushed through, such things will go into a maintenance project.
But if you plan to enhance O2C with a CRM front end or include a better planning solution or TPM or something, then you are looking at an implementation project.
Rule of thumb. Short Scale changes : Maintenance Project, Long term/major enhancements : Implementation Projects.
Also In this case to speak about the lock down. Well the Solution Directory kind of takes care of that for you.
I am assuming that you have a solution populated with business processes. So now if you want to enhance it with a new functionality, you would use an implementation project. So when you define the implementation project, and then navigate to Solar01, and try to add business scenarios , ensure that on the Structure tab you select the Solution as the source. This ensures you are copying content from your current, updated, productive solution. Once you do that, the implementation continues on its track, whilst daily support processes are managed with the check-in / check-out functionality of the Solution and the Maintenance Project.
You technically do not need to lock the business processes down, since the Compare and Adjust functionality of a solution will help you identify the deltas  between the Solution and the implementation project and you can always make those adjustments post go-live and thus just update the Solution at one shot. Also remember that with SolMan 7.1 the Compare and Adjust functions can be used with Template, Implementation and Solutions in any permutation-combination.
    Hope this helps.
Plz let me know if you need any additional information
    Cheers!!

    Hello SCN members!
The company where I work recently implemented the SAP Solution Manager 7.1 SP10 and now we are trying to learn how to use the SAP Business Process Blueprinting (BPB) Tool to design all enterprise processes inside it.
I followed all the steps of the official BPB installation guide and from another BPB discussion (http://scn.sap.com/thread/3258935) but the tool is not working properly. Some relevant points are:
I can create and publish Business Scenarios but can’t do the same with Business Processes
    Business Scenario Created and Published:
Business Process created but not published, returning a connection error:
I don’t understand why the tool works for the Business Scenario level but not for the Business Process level. Could anyone help?

  • Business Process Monitoring with SAPCCMSR Agents

    Hi
I have installed a SAPCCMSR Agent in a non-sap system to monitor log files.
This is the configuration about a particularly log file:
    LOGFILE_TEMPLATE
    DIRECTORY="E:\LOG"
    FILENAME="senddata*.txt"
    PATTERN_0="error"
    VALUE_0=RED
    MONITOR_NEWEST_FILES=1
In this folder every day, log are created (with name senddata-DD-MM-YYYY) and I would like to monitor only the last log produced to search for error.
When the agent run, it creates a monitor in rz20 with the name of the current log(for example senddata-08-09-2014).
Tomorrow when a new log will created, the monitor will change its name (for example in senddata-09-09-2014).
I also want use business process monitoring to create a monitor and assign the mte in rz20.
When I choose from a list which monitor assign, it give me the name of the ccms monitor that have the name valid for today(senddata-08-09-2014).
The problem is that tomorrow this MTE will change its name and will invalidate my monitor in bpm.
I tried to insert manually the value in bpm monitor like ...../senddata*/.... to see if dinamically, it will acquire the monitor with the name in rz20.
    But this doesn't work.
Anyone have an idea on how monitor this?
Thanks very much & Best regards
    Marco

    Hi Mark,
When the agent run, it creates a monitor in rz20 with the name of the current log(for example senddata-08-09-2014).
"senddata-08-09-2014 " - Is this the name of your log file created on OS level everyday ?
If yes, then why not after every log switch after end of day, a file with name sendata replaces its old content with the contents of current logs ?
This "replacing" is scheduled to run every 5 mins from OS level(cron script) and it picks the name of the file using current date method ?
In this was you will have your monitor with same name.

    Divyanshu

  • How to setup PCG Flow Rule Process flow with Business Event subscription

    Hi,
How to setup PCG Flow Rule Process flow with Business Event subscription type?
When should Business Events be used?
The latest user guide does not provide ay information on this functionality of Flow rules.
    Thanks

You should find it's usage noted in the new PCG user guide on page 3-26 under the heading "Configuring Workflow/Event Rules". This way you can have a Flow Rule call a business event component or a workflow. This would be kicked off within a process flow as one of the steps.
    I hope that helps.

    Dear Dr. Word,
I am a graduate student of MIS at Northern Illinois University. I took Dr. Yipeng Liu’s course of Advanced Topic of Information Systems using your textbook - Integrated Business Process With ERP Systems. Your textbook is great. I have a question to discuss with you.
On page 62 of your textbook, I don’t think the accounting process of purchasing supplies is correct. In the example, “GBI purchases office supplies for $500 with a check. Office supplies are expensed; that is, they are defined as money spent rather than treated as an asset upon purchase, even if some of the supplies remain unused. In this case, the relevant accounts are bank and supplies expense.”
Actually, supplies unused are assets of companies. Otherwise we don’t need an account called supplies at all. In the given example, I think we should credit $500 to bank account and debit $500 to supplies account. If at the end of the fiscal year, we used only $300 supplies, then we credit $300 to supplies account and debit $300 to supplies expense account. This is the typical process of supplies accounting.
“Office supplies are expensed; that is, they are defined as money spent rather than treated as an asset upon purchase, even if some of the supplies remain unused. “ This practice actually goes against the Matching Principle of General Acceptable Accounting Principles (GAAP). It’s not a good example especially in textbook, even though lots of companies are doing real business like this.
I am looking forward to hearing your thoughts of my comments on supplies accounting of your textbook.
