KSV5: Functional Area missing on FI Document

Hi,
we are using ECC 6.0 and the Real time integration with CO has been activated.
When we executed KSV5 for a particular cost center using "Fixed Amounts" the system did not substitute Functional area on the FI Document posted.
Could you please advice on the same?

Camera Functions are missing after 3.0 upgrade

I have original Iphone and I just upgraded to 3.0 and my camera function and camera roll buttons are missing. Is this a patch issue???

I am an Admin at a shipping company running Exchange 2007. I had this issue on a couple of Iphones post 3.0. I thought I would let you know that the default Activesync policy turns off the camera. This never used to work pre 3.0 but apparently it does now! Hope it helps!

How to delete Open Activities in the DTR Web UI? Functions are missing...

we have some problems with open activities and files that are checked-out.
To solve this we found this desciption by SAP:
"Deleting Open Activities in the DTR Web UI
Since open activities can be a problem if they cannot be found any longer - for example if a developer
PC crashed - there is a function in the DTR Web UI to delete such activities (ADMINA permissions are
required).
1. Open the following URL: http://<host>:<port>/devinf and choose the Design Time Repository link.
2. Choose the system-tools link.
3. Choose the Activity search.
4. Navigate to the workspace that contains an open activity that is no longer needed and cannot be deleted by its owner.
5. Search for open activities.
6. For the activity that is no longer needed, choose Revert this activity.
7. Select the Delete the activity resource also checkbox and confirm with Revert.
The activity is reverted and deleted."
But when we go there, we only found "Activity Search" under "...\system-tools\reports\ActivitySearch", not directly under s"ystem-tools" or "administration".
So all functions for reverting or deleting activities are not there (because of reports?!?), we only can watch them.
Where can we found this? How can we delete activities? in some views files are checked-out, in others they are not... and also activities only can be seen here, not in CBS or somwhere else... we try to solve this by deleting "open" activities.
Any idea or help?

Is there only deleted the activity or also source code is reverted? Waht is with souce code that is actual?
Because we have some activities on projects that work well, but activities are there for 3 years right now. We want to make NW OK...

Finder functions are missing

Hello - recently installed Lion. I discovered, that the Finder does not have the categories Today-Yesterday-Last Week which were showing the recently used files. I found that really helpfully but I am not able to find a way to configure the side bar in that way.
Who knows a way to do that ?#

Preview: PDFs generated with Oracle RS are missing letters

Hi,
When I open PDFs in Preview which were created using "Oracle10gR2 AS Reports Services", some letters are missing. The documents aren't corrupted and appear valid on other platforms or in other applications. Is there any solution/fix for Preview? As I'm quite happy with Preview I don't want to install the Adobe reader and I can't change the document generator, as my University's support says "it works on Win/Adobe, hence use them instead..."

Same exact issue. Very annoying. My workaround is to Cntrl-click on the pdf report and choose Open With... and use Adobe Reader. But I like using Preview because it's so easy to highlight or circle items, and add other annotations. I don't want to have Adobe Reader be my default reader.
I wish someone would trouble-shoot this and offer up a real fix. I may contact our IT folks--but there aren't that many Macs where I work, so it won't be a high priority for them.

In IMG under the "Enterprise structure" you will define the Functional areas.
Also you can define:IMG-.>Fin.Accting basic settings->Define Func.Area.In the next step,you enter Functional area:IMG-.>Fin.Accting basic settings->enter Functional area.->enter Functiona area in GL master.
Once entered,the system will ask for Functional area for the relevant GL a/c.
If usefull assign points.

"Documents are missing" - what is to be done?

we receive this messge in the report of ta. ucwb "Analysis of transaction data" (Tools -> Transaction data -> Analyze and repair data streams -> Compare journal entries with totals records -> Display details):
Some documents are missing for certain totals records. This can have the following causes:
Translation to group currency is selected in the customizing settings for the document type. Furthermore, the document type posts in group currency and at least one more currency.
Translation to group currency is NOT selected in the customizing settings for the document type. However, instead of posting in group currency, the document type only posts in the local and transaction currencies.
Totals records contain values in group currency only. A typical cause is that the currency translation function, which only works with totals records, has created these values during translation and/or rounding. This is NOT an error.
Although it might be not an error - are there any arrangements to be made?

this was exactly the case!
We have documents which were posted in RUB and were written to the document ODS and the BCS cube. So the values are consistent in transactional currency.
When the totals records were computed a posting with local currency was created with the same allocation as the original record. Additionally a record was created for the currrency difference of the average rate of exchange and the period-end exchange rate. These sentences have local curr. equal 0 and trans. curr. n.e. 0 and were reported...

Hard to say what is happening without examining the file.

I do not use iCloud because I have no wifi at home, limited data available for regularly backing up, and I have a 64GB phone and don't wish to pay to upgrade from the 5GB iCloud storage. Am I doing something wrong? It worked so seamlessly on my loaner phone that I am completely stumped as to why it will not restore those items to my original phone again.

The iphone is designed to be synced to your computer or cloud service. Your contacts should be in whatever program/service you have chosen to sync.
If you have failed to do this, then they are likely gone.

Derivation of Functional Area in FI document

We have an issue with the Functional Area derivation while posting the FI document. One FI document got posted with 4 line items, with 3 GL accounts. Two line items are from one GL(Which has cost center) and remaining two belongs to other GL accounts. Here the issue is, one of the line item(same GL) has Functional area and other line item doen't have functional area.
Is there any configuration/check needs to be done in deriving the function area. Where I can find that in the system(Our system is 4.7). When I checked the posting progam, I found a note saying Functional Area will be visible/invisible depending on the cost-of-sale flat active/inactive. Cost-of-sale flag is active for the company code.
would you please let me know, how this was happend.?. How to over come this.

1. For activation/deactivation of Cost of Sales Accounting, the path is IMG - Financial Accounting - Finacial Accounting Global Settings - Company Code - Cost of Sales Accounting - Activate COst of Sales Accounting for Preparation
2. You can derive Funcational Area by maintaining Substituation Rules and Activating them. Follow the path - IMG - Financial Accounting - Finacial Accounting Global Settings - Company Code - Cost of Sales Accounting - Set up Substitution for Cost of Sales Accounting - Define Substitution.
After define substitution, activate the same.

Some PDF Documents are Missing Letters when Printing

We use a Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise (64-bit) server as our print server. Ever since we moved our printers to this server, several of our existing PDF documents have missing letters when they print. If you modify your print properties and choose "Print as Image", the documents print correctly with no missing letters.
The missing letters seem to come in specific combinations, such as ti, ft, fa, etc.
Our previous print server was a Windows Server 2003 (32-bit) machine and these documents all printed fine on that server.
Are there any known issues with printing PDF documents on a 64-bit print server, or with 64-bit drivers?

This response will hopefully help you towards a solution—I have not encountered the specific problem you are facing.
The image you posted shows the fonts that are embedded in your document: both Calibri and Myriad Pro. However, the second instance of Calibri indicates that some some of the Calibri characters were encoded differently, and I suspect based on the combo characters you listed, these are glyphs and are what your printer is having trouble processing.
The usual solution for print server issues is to make sure all drivers and firmware are updated.
The answer to your question regarding embedding fonts completely is to change your Adobe pdf print preferences to embed all fonts, not just a subset. This must be done when the pdf is being created initially. You can change font embedding by choosing a joboption like Press Quality that includes full font embedding or by modifying the joboption you are already using. In Windows, you can do this at the time of print by selecting the Advanced button next to the printer selection dropdown and changing settings there, in advance by modifying the printing preferences from your printers menu, or by editing the joboptions in Acrobat Distiller.

Why PDF documents are missing icon of standard size?

My Adobe Reader is v11.0.6. It was originally installed on Win XP Home and worked OK.
Recently, I've moved it to Win7 Pro with the aid of Laplink PC Mover. It works OK, but PDF documents are missing its standard size icon, e.g. on Desktop. Precisely speaking, my closed PDF documents display as their icon the first page of the document with almost invisible miniature of PDF icon in its right lower corner.
I tried to take care of it with re-association and re-choosing right icon. This corrected the situation for a few seconds only.
I repaired the Reader installation also with the same effect.
The icon chosen is located in: C:\Windows\Installer\{AC76BAB6-7AD7-1033-7B44-AB0000000001} \PDFFile_8.ico. It's of 256x256 pixels
Why this happen? How can one repair it?

Open Windows Explorer -> Tools -> Folder Options
Go to the View tab
Check "Always show icons, never thumbnails"
Hit Apply
All your PDF files on your desktop should now show with the generic PDF icon.
