"Kuler Klash" error

I am trying out this Kuler program and cannot save the themes I am creating. I get back the message "kuler klash" and "error" in a black box after I hit the save button. I thought maybe it had to do with my browser when I was using it through safari, so then I downloaded Air and the app but still having the exact same issue. Any suggestions?

Can you clear the cache and try again?
You are right, it has nothing to do with Browser. You should not be seeing this error.

I have tried for the past two days to sign in to Kuler and I keep getting the "Kuler Klash" error, so I am unable to sign in and download themes.

(reauthenticates for actions like save/publish), though it's odd
that you can log in, it's only on subsequent authentication. I will

1. Have you EVER been able to save or publish?
2. Does this happen on other actions such as downloading?

I am signed in with my ID, but every time i try to save, i get Error: Kuler Klash, i lose my changes and the screen resets. Help?

Kuler Desktop Error

I've downloaded Apollo and then d/l the Kuler Desktop (which,
I think is awesome and can't wait to use). When I try to open it
though, it will open up, show the 'home" of it and then I get this
error. Any help would be appreciated. I'm on Windows XP Pro.

How does this resolve the problem? I am having the same
problem as described and seen with the Error Pic. Using Firefox 2 I
downloaded Air and installed it and then downloaded Kuler Desktop
and installed it and when I try to run the app I get the same
error. Also, why does it matter what browser you use to download
the program with if its being installed to your local computer. So
how do I get it to work?

Mykuler and Random generates Kuler Klash

I can sign in, but it seems that all my saved themes are gone or can not load and when Random is selected, a klash is given as well. Any ideas?

Are you using the desktop app? Might just try using the browser based version instead.

I was accessing these pages via the "more information" links on the Creative Cloud desktop extension under each (yet to be installed) program.
The pages will load, then briefly show the top banner and background gradient, then go blank.
Disabling the Invisible Hand Chrome extension enable the pages to load.

Haven't been able to use MyKuler for months.

Hi! I used to really like using Kuler. Then, a few months ago, something went haywire, and I was no longer able to use MyKuler at all. I haven't been able to use it, since. I use both the website AND the desktop application (and CS5.5 integration, to boot). In the website (on both IE and Chrome), when I try to go to MyKuler, it gives me a "Kuler Klash" error, with no error message. In the desktop application, it spins the color wheels, as though it's going to do something, and then gives me a "Kuler Kutoff" message, telling me that my session has timed out.
Before you tell me to clear my cache, I have cleared all of my browser and Flash caches, with no luck. I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the desktop application.
In fact, just now, I used a completely different machine, with a completely fresh install of Windows 7, and I attempted to log into Kuler there for the first time, and I still got the Kuler Klash error, when I tried to go to MyKuler. So, to be absolutely clear, the problem has nothing to do with my machine, or any values that are cached on it.
Does anyone have any clues for how to fix this problem? Could it be that there is something wrong with my account?

I have also had the same problem with MyKuler and the Kuler Klash Error (and no real error message). Did everything they told me to do, which did not fix the problem. I wish someone would at least find the error message in the code and give the users an error message we could work with and let us know how to fix it.

Login issues! Please help!

I am unable to log in to the kuler website. I have had success for a short time once or twice, but most of the time the small login graphic just spins indefinitely. I have created a new id, and the same thing is happening with that one. I have intermittent luck logging in to kuler desktop, but I get a kuler klash error more often than not.
This is a new laptop and I am running Windows 7 and the newest flash version. I have noticed flash issues with a couple of other online apps. Based on one artical I found, I uninstalled flash, reinstalled running IE as admin, and set the permissions on a few of the files in the win32 folder, but this has not changed anything.
Has anyone else experienced this issue?

MBPs and liquids do not mix. Bring the MBP to the nearest Apple store genius bar for a free evaluation. Be prepared for bad news. Too often the incursion of liquids is a death sentence to a MBP.

Kuler no longer working in InDesign CS4

I've been googling this a lot but haven't found a (working) solution yet. I did find a link to what could be a solution, but the link is not working anymore.
I'm an IT guy in an office where we have a small team of four people using Adobe Creative Suite 4. Recently they contacted me asking for help because Kuler was no longer working for them (it stopped working for all four).
I installed InDesign CS4 on my own machine only to see that it does not work for me either. The error message is "No internet connection detected. Your computer must be online in order to search or access kuler themes".
When I go to Windows -> Extensions -> Connections I'm able to login, but not able to search for updates, I just get "The update server is unavailable".
When running the Kuler Air app I just get "kuler klash, please try again later".
Because we're a big company we do of course have antivirus and firewalls. To make sure that the problem isn't because of this I installed InDesign on a machine (server) on a completely different network with less strict firewall and no antivirus on the machine, but It's just the same error message as before.
Our machines are running Windows 7 Enterprise (the extra test was done on a Windows 2012 Server).
Is Kuler just not working for CS4 anymore?

The Kuler team recently rebuilt the backend of the Kuler service for security, maintenance, and peformance reasons. (the old back-end was showing signs of failure).
Anyway, it seems the new backend is not working with old Kuler APIs (CS3, CS4, and the air app and mac widget). Adobe typically provides support for up to two versions back. At the moment, that's CS5 or newer. So, I'm afraid it's not likely that you can expect a fix for CS4.
At this point, your team can use the web application to browse, create, and search themes. They can also download themes as ASE files (on the website) to import into InDesign CS4.

I have no idea where these tags came from. But it is October
and strange things are known to happen. lol
Edit FYI- I was able to just change the tags on ml168 (it was
not taking it last night). It kept reverting to "beatles". Sami I
just ran a search on "beatles", because I found it odd that it was
only one word, when the other theme changed with various words (as
you will see in my screenshots), nothing nasty - just random tags.
The search gave me 21 swatches and none seem to relate - no other
swatch has only one tag as "beatles". Hope this helps.

Help with saving themes please

Why no mulitple hex copy?

Would be more elegant to display the real reason: "The lifecylce of this product has ended" or so.
Why is that so hard to implement, without dissolving the users?

I don't think copy/paste has any connection to language input support. Having copy/paste would make it easier to develop workarounds, but it's not even necessary for that. By pointing the browser at this page using javascript keyboards

You can send emails in a variety of languages.
If there were a javascript keyboard for Japanese input, you could do the same thing, but I have not been able to find one.
I suspect you may see copy/paste well before you see built-in Japanese input, because the latter requires a lot of memory space and perhaps some complex programming.

I ended up figuring out a solution, but I'll get to that in a sec.
To answer your question, I converted the .wmv file in a program called Media Converter (available in the App store), and converted it to an h.264 file (then later to a .mov file, and then to an .mpg). I could view the file, and work with it in projects, but any project I tried to output with any version of said file, would result in the afor mentioned message, with the same results in FCPX (and Compressor 4 as well). I tried multiple frame rates, resolutions, files types, re-converting the file, all with no luck. My impression from said experiments, and reading other discussions was that it was a corrupt file.
Then I got frisky...and a little desperate. I brought the converted file (the .wmv to .mov) into Motion 4... and an export worked first try. So I exported a pro-res file from Motion 4, and used that file in the already built Motion 5 project, and voila!
So, who knows what that means in real terms, as for the whats and whys.
