Labels and thickness of lines in line graph.

Hi All,
    I am developing a line graph. I want the labels in the y axis to be displayed vertically like:
      T
      |
     M
     E
And i wanted the reduce the thickness of the line series . Can anybody help please ?

I think you can creat linestroke in chart and specify weight of line.
For labels maybe you can creat some itemrenderer...

Problem in setting axis(x and y) in line graph

Hi All,
I have a database table student with two column score(number data type) and "no of student"(number data type). With this table I want a jsp line graph which will describe the student table.Score col would be in X axis and the other one in y axis.I am not able to set score in x axis. I am using JDeveloper 10.1.3.3.
By using scatter graph I am able to set score in x axis and "no of student" in y axis.But my requirement is line graph.So, is there any way to achieve a line graph where score would be in x axis and "no of students" would be in y axis?
Can any body help me regarding this matter?

If you are still looking for the solution to this, you can change the graph to display the way you require.
If you have a graph def file like BIGraphDef1.xml you need to select it in the application navigator. Then in the Structure window select the top level (ex. BIGraph1). This will give you the options available in the property inspector.
If you change the dataRowShownAsASeries from True to False, you should be able to display your data in the line graph.

11.1.1.5 - Measure labels are appearing in legend (line graph)

I've created a line graph in 11.1.1.5. My legend is showing a combination of the column value and the measure name (e.g. Web Sales, Direct Sales, Retail Sales). I want my legend to simply say Web, Direct, and Retail, without the appended 'Sales' measure label.
The Measure Labels tile is currently residing in the Vary Color By (Horizontal Axis) zone, along with the legend column, so I guess it makes sense that the legend column and the measure labels would both show up in the legend (although I don't think that was the case in 11.1.1.3). However, there doesn't appear to be any place into which I can relocate the Measure Labels tile so that the word Sales DOESN'T appear on the line graph. If I move the Measures Labels tile into Graph Prompts, Sections, or Group By (Horizontal Axis), the word Sales appears in those locations. If I attempt to move that tile into the Lines (Vertical Axis) box, or into the Excluded box, it won't allow being dropped there.
Switching between line, bar, and area graphs reveals the same problem in all graph types.
Is there any way to supress the display of measure labels on graphs in 11.1.1.5?

This is the feature in 11g obiee displaying the Measue heading and dimension value... like u said right Web Sales...and so on.
Here in u case web is the value of dimension and Sales is heading of a measure.
One way is if u are not using any dimension apart from 1 dim and fact u can put measure labels in the group by axis and dimension column in the show in legend section then it will give u only web.
But if u have 2 dimension then we have to put this measure labels with either one of the dimensions in this case heading of the measure wil display.

Formating Line thickness for lines in graphs with more than 6 lines.

I have a line graph with more than 6 lines on it and I'm trying to make them all 1px.
I can specify a line thickness for the first 6 lines but after that, the lines go back to the default thickness.
Is it possible to change the default line thickness for a graph or format the line thickness for the 7th line and more?

Good news! I found out how to format more than 6 lines of data and it's really simple to do!
In the bottom left hand corner of the Format Chart Data, next to the Clear All button, is a button marked ADD.
If you click this button, another row is added allowing you to format the 7th line of data.
Click again and you get a row for the 8th line and keep clicking to add more lines.
I'm making a note of it here in case it is useful to someone out there who searches on this problem in the future.

DVT: Line Graph O1TickLabels do not rotate and are misaligned

Hi,
I have been trying to get the O1TickLabels aligned correctly when using the line graphs, but I am still not having any luck.
It seems that when I have enough data points and the labels are sufficiently long in length, the labels for the O1 Axis start to the left of the Y1 axis.
I would have assumed that the auto layout would have rotated the labels, but that is not the case. I have tried changing the chart type to a bar chart and that seems to know to rotate the labels.
Is this a limitation of the line graph or is there something else I need to set for a line graph.
I have also tried to set the following attribute: tickLabel.setAutomaticRotation(BaseGraphComponent.AR_NO_ROTATE), but this does not solve the issue.

Don't round values (line graph label)

I need to make a line graph with labeled markers. So, I create a marker design with "%02" (without quotes) as label to show the values. But, if I type, for example, 6,10 into the sheet, the marker's label shows 6,1. But I need show the entire number (with all the decimals, without rounding them up or down). Could you guys help me? According to your post, my understanding is that some fields not display in the alert email.
Yes, we can use the workflow to replace the alert email.
You can use the action “Send an Email” to achieve it, set the workflow auto start when items create or change.
Note:The MMS, PG and the Slot are the column name.

HTML5 fails to show labels on line graphs

Value labels on line graphs fail to show in HTML5 and work fine in the current html version as well as in Excel.
Repro
Create line graph
Right click on the marker of a series and select 'Add Label'
Save to OneDrive
Open it and view the regular html and then view the HMTL 5 version

Could you clarify if this in Power View sheet or in regular excel sheet/line chart?
Also could you clarify what you mean by regular html vs html5?

I have updated to ios5 and latest pages and it has changed table borders and header colours etc, the colour I was using was imported and there border lines are v thick, help has made my docs look rubbish

I have updated o iOS 5 and updated my pages but it as altered my documents, layout, and tables, changing header row colour and thickness of border lines, some thick some thin within same table, if I put default it puts all the lines back, but I only wan them in 2 out f the 4 columns, If I try to change each section then I have to select all borders as default does the whole table, but if I chose all then the order lines are all thick is there any way of changing thickness of lines, and also does anyone know how to pu in a table of contents? Besides Chapter 7, which deals with your current question, I would strongly suggest reading at least the first four chapters of the guide for a good grounding in the basics of using Numbers.

Producing a line graph of int values and saving as an image

Hi,
I wonder if anyone could help me with this. I have 2 arrays of integer values that I would like to plot as a line graph (e.g. X[ ] and Y [ ]) and then have this line graph saved as an image (the format isn't too important but PNG would be preferred).
Could somone point me in the right direction of an easy way to do this?

C309g Scanned files are saved as thick black lines and thin white lines

Hi there,
I am able to scan the documents and see them briefly in the HPScan software but once I have saved them (.pdf or .jpeg) and tried to open them in any application, all I get is a file that consists of thick black lines spaced out with thin white lines. Therefore whatever I scan is useless as it cannot be viewed in any way.
I am running Mac OSX Mavericks and have run all the updates and installed the latest drivers. Originally I was unable to save anything but after perfroming the updates I was able to save the scans but it triggered the black and white lines. The printer is connected to a network via Ethernet.
I tried scanning a blank white page but the output file is the same with the black and white lines.
Please help.
