Lack of customer care from bt

BT go on about their excellent caring service-what a joke.
ON 5TH SEPTEMBER we reported a fault with our phone only to be told there was no fault on the line it must be our equipment.We purchased a new phone still no signal or internet.Phoned bt again they still said there was no fault but would send an engineer and if it was a problem inside the house we would have to pay for this call out.
Engineer came out 5 days later told us he was having trouble getting into the box but would have it fixed either that day or the following day.Then came back saying the job was bigger than he thought.
NO FURTHER CONTACT FROM BT,also still no phone line,phoned again and again was told engineer was having problems but would be back on by 20th september.No contact from bt also still no phone line.Again after several calls was told it was being passed to a different department and i did not have to phone again as it would be fixed by the 26th September.
On 26th September an openreach van pulled up outside so i went to ask what was happening only to be told it could be weeks before this would be fixed as it is A BIG JOB and would need traffic management for which council permission is needed from the council.
Phone call to my mobile from bt to give me an update on what was happening-she could not tell us what was happening.
Several updates from bt saying it would be fixed by 14th october.
Then a phone call from bt saying it would not be fixed by 14th and openreach were now going out on the 15th to survey the problem.Already surveyed on 26th september so why survey it again.
Then another update saying that work was going to start on 14th october.
On 15th october told openreach could not start the work as permission was needed for traffic management(did this 2 weeks ago)
HAVE SINCE BEEN TOLD OUR COMPLAINT IS NOW AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL=WOW.still makes no differece as it is now 21st october-still no phone line and no one is able to tell us when our phone line will be on.
We were told that a temporary line would be insalled by 19th october-this has not happened either.
So bt you have now lied to us on more than one occassion-your service to date has been useless.
It appears that no one within bt or bt openreach wants to solve this problem or do the work.
Is it because it is going to cost too much?or is that you do not care about your customers?
We have been loyal customers to bt on this phone line since 1989 and the service we get for being loyal to you is non existant.
Yet you still manage to take payments in advance for the service you are not providing.
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TAKE RESPONSIBILTY FOR THIS PROBLEM AND SORT IT OUT.

  • Swindled, lied too, and lack of customer care!

    Back in Auguest, we qualified for "new" phones.  We've been customers for over 10 years.  We visited a local Verison store in Pataskala Ohio.  We were looking to get into the "smart phones".  We saw several, some very nice and EXPENSIVE ones, a few that were less expensive.
    We told the salesmen what we were looking for, and pointed out a few, one of them was the Samsung Gem.  Little did we know.  We knew NOTHING about smart phones but only what we saw on TV, guess Verison feels buyer beware to be an understatment.
    The Gem was just under $50.00, hmm.. on sale it seems.  We had no idea, the trouble, the lack of usability, these phones had.  The salesmen seemed to know all about them, so he said.  We find out, as time went on, that 1, we could NOT upgrade to the 2.2 droid OS as Verison does not seem to want these phones upgraded.
    We also found out, that you can NOT put any of the app's on the SD cards due to the OS version.  We also find out how little room there is on these phones for apps.  Further, we learned that these phones were NEVER suppose to be sold by Version dealers, that they were "in house" phones only.
    I've tried to email Verison but hmm.. we can't find an EMAIL address for support!
    My wifes phone has had issues for the past month, runs slow, won't connect and very VERY short battery life.
    Now.. I would like someone from Verison with guts to assist us in getting rid of these phones, and re-issueing us a new trade in deal.
    I wonder if there is somone out there who cares!
    These Gems SUCK, and seems Verison only cares about sales, and NOT customer care!

Even if an "authorized reseller" was responsible for this, Verizon is the one who hands out these licenses and has a duty to make sure somewhat decent business is being conducted with their name. Because again, the consumer who has a life that might surround insurance or banking or medicine or a family or any variety of other things that do not deal with mobile products has no idea what authorized reseller, premium reseller, or corporate means nor should they be expected to.
    Take your elitist attitude and get out of here.

  • Slow broadband speed and a lack of customer care -...

    I am so close to throwing in the towel with BT. The service I receive is both inconsistent and laughable, the customer care is non-existent and the price I pay is more than VirginMedia.
    Why do I stay? Why do I persist with an organisation who are just not interested?
    Anyway.
    My broadband speed veers from 500Kb to 2Mb, but BT Technical insist I am capable of receiving 8-10Mb

  • Abysmal Customer Care from BT - Will Now Take My ...

    In common with others on these boards, I am sorry to say that my recent experience of BT has been so poor that I will now be taking my business elsewhere.
    It would take all evening to explain the various ins and outs of my problems, but suffice to say that having spent an hour and a half on the phone to BT customer service last weekend and been transferred to a variety of different departments, I still do not have BT Sport despite ordering it at the same time as I upgraded to Infinity a couple of months ago.
    After calling BT again this evening and insisting at the outset of the conversation that I was not prepared to spend another hour and a half being transferred between departments, I very pleasant and - surprise, surpise - efficient customer service person called Dan could tell me within five minutes that the reason I still don't have BT Sport is because I have an old silver box!
    I am furious - I had viewed the relevant BT Forums before calling last weekend, and suspected that this might be the issue, so mentioned it during the course of the conversation but was assured that I would definitely be able to get BT Sport through my 'fibre cable' and that my original order for BT Sport had not been fulfilled because of technical issues caused by the fact that I had two BT accounts, one for broadband and another for my phone line and BT TV ( BT'S silly sytem at the time I first became a BT customer!).  
    At no time during the original call I made to order Infinity and BT Sport was it ever mentioned that I would need to upgrade - and pay for - a new box and I feel very strongly that BT Sports was mis-sold to me: the length of time it has taken for BT to get round to telling me this simply adds insult to injury.  Oh, and while we are on the subject, no-one at BT told me that the new Infinity hub doesn't come with a handset, unlike the old hub, and so I if I wish to use my landline, I will have to go out and buy a new handset!  Another instance of not communicating essential information, and again involving additional expenditure.
    I really can't bear the rigmarole involved in ringing BT customer service yet again to complain about all of this and so, no matter how much I like your products BT, your customer service is absolutely appalling and I have already visited the regulator's website this evening to ascertain the procedure for formalising my complaint.  In the meantime, I will no doubt have to do battle over the cancellation charges BT will impose but as far as I am concerned, a contract requires both parties to fulfill their obligations, and as of now, I have no phone and no BT Sport, so goodbye BT - there must be someone out there who wants my business more than you do!

  • Lack of CARE from Customer Care - Need an Aust con...

    I raised a complaint via the contact us above and to be honest.
    it is the WORST experience I've ever had. The customer care is useless. It has now been over a month and everytime I go back to them, they answer with the same response. I posed several questions and they come back with the same answer and NEVER answer the questions I've asked.
    To be honest, they must be imbeciles as no matter how many times I point out my questions,. they still don't answer them,.
    I'm fed up with Nokia and will not recommend it to anyone. I've also sat down with the board of my company to phase out the use of Nokia's as there is no service.
    Please provide me details of an Australian manager I can raise my complaints through as my next step, in the next few days, will be to go through the ombudsmen and drop a side not to Today tonight/A Current affair. As I've seen ALL over the net and on the forums, there are a lot of unhappy people with a useless product!

  • TERRIBLE CUSTOMER CARE & Lack of Informatio​n on current D.O.A and Delivery of a new laptop (x121e)

    Hi there,
    I made an order for a Thinkpad X121e on 25th August 2011, arriving around a week later, however when it arrived it worked for about 1 hour before then refusing to boot up, I decided to ring support who suggested it may be possible, and quicker to have someone repair the unit onsite, however it turned out that this would not be possible as there may have been multiple issues.
    Therefore I arranged under D.O.A for it to be sent back to Lenovo, it was received at the repair centre on 8th September 2011, and was registered as D.O.A on 15th September 2011
    It was my understanding that a replacement would usually have a turnaround of 14 days, however when I rang Technical support they suggested 15 working days, which would be up today (6th October 2011) I have been consistently ringing technical support who have suggested the only people that I should contact are the German company (MKCL Deutschland GmbH) dealing with the D.O.A of my laptop, however if I was to contact them via phone it would cost me a fair amount, so I opted for the email route, where a response was given however it suggested they were also waiting on lenovo.
    I currently feel as if I am in the dark, where there is no possible way to contact lenovo directly, especially for complaints or even just for information. I purchased the lenovo product originally on recommendations from others for quality and reliability, its a shame that lenovo support and customer care is not the same.
    I have also considered contacting Consumer direct if I do not receive any more information on my case.
    Any possible help with my case will be much appreciated.

    You can NOT unlock it. Only the carrier it is locked to can legally authorize unlocking it and the Japanese carriers will not do so.
    In order to be using it previously with a non Japanese carrier, the phone had to be hacked to illegally unlock it.  You can not get help here.
    Buy a new phone you can use.

  • NO response from HP Customer Care

    I have been calling HP cutomer care from last two months. i bought this pc 4 months back and it is still in warrant. A small part in the corner of my pc beside the battery was lose so called up customer care to report my problem. they sent the engineer who took off that part and gave a recipt saying that your part will be replaced in a week. it's been two months since then i have recieved no respone. I am tired of calling them and listening to their excuses. could you please help? how can i get that part replaced?

    This message indicates that your phone was hacked or jailbroken to unlock it.
    Then when you updated/restored your phone it locked back up to the original carrier.
    Only the carrier that the phone is locked to can unlock it.

  • Why was I given false info about my delivery from customer care?

    I pre-ordered two phones in store. I had to pay out my current edge up price in order to edge up early to the iphone 6. I also got another phone on my line edged up to the iphone 6 plus. At the store I asked if I could bill the initial payment to my account (I have billed to my account on several other occasions). The in store rep said I could not bill this particular charge to my account, which I was totally okay with. I gave my debit and he swiped it. This morning my card was charged because my order shipped; I have no problem with this method, but I am frustrated I did not know this from the beginning.
    Also, I contacted customer support after receiving a text that my account had been charged $54.13. I checked my bank account and Verizon had actually charged me $80.90. Why wasn't I notified of the correct amount?
    I spoke with customer service this morning. The first rep was named Courtney I believe. She told me my phone was out for delivery today. After both USPS and UPS had been to my apartment I went down and checked for a slip saying they missed me: no slip. I called customer service to get the tracking number so I could further look into the issue. The second rep I spoke with was Mitchell. He said the package was in the city of the store I had ordered at and may have been delivered to the store. He called the store I ordered at and conferenced me into the call. Mitchell was no longer on the line randomly so I stayed on to see if someone at the store could help. The store rep told me that phones are not delivered to the store and she could not look up any account information over the phone. She referred me back to customer care. I called for the third time hoping to get some answers; I believe this rep's name was Ignasio. He was absolutely the most helpful and straight forward, but he informed me that the previous two reps were incorrect and could NOT have known any information about my phone's delivery status because it had not been issued a tracking number yet-he called Fed Ex with me on the line and Fed Ex confirmed that a tracking number had not been created because the package had not been shipped yet. I WAS SO FRUSTRATED that I was given false information from two different reps and never told a charge would be placed on the account the day the phone began processing to be shipped. Had I known that information when I placed the order in-store I would have known that the phone had just been processed for shipping today, because that's when my payment processed. I was not rude to anyone that I spoke to today, but I wanted to write this out because I was frustrated with the entire experience. How could I be given specific delivery info about my package if there is not even a tracking number for it yet?

    Welcome to dealing with Verizon's customer anti-care.  I have had a similar experience over the last week.  I tried to order 2 Iphone 6s and an Iphone 6 plus to replace the Iphone 5s, my family now use.  When I tried to order the phones on Apple's website, there was a weird error saying that I could only pick up the phone in an Apple store.  I called customer care to find out the issue.  They of course blamed Apple and said I could order the phones on Verizon's website.  I said that would be fine except that I was concerned with the shipping times, since my wife and daughter's phones are starting to have issues and I did not want them  to have to wait until late October - early November when the phones they want showed to be in stock with Verizon.  The representative said that the phones would ship as they are available so the silver 128GB silver Iphone would ship the next day, the Space Gray 128GB would ship on 10/3 and the Iphone plus would ship on 10/31.  I went ahead and went online and ordered the phones.  I waited until 10/2 to call to find out what happened to the silver Iphone and was told that none of the phones would ship until they were all in stock.  I cancelled the order and figured I would order them from Apple.  I asked when I cancelled the order how long it would be til I could place an order with Apple and was told it usually will let you order immediately, but in some cases it can take a couple of hours.  This was at about 8:00pm on 10/2.
    On the morning of 10/3 on went to Apples website and it said that there was a reservation for the lines in question.  I again called and spent an hour on the phone with Verizon to find out that the previous representative had not cancelled the order.  There were lots of notes to cancel the order, but the order was still pending.  The rep Louise was terrific and even sent me a screen shot to show that the order was cancelled.  I waited a couple of hours and tried to order the phones again.  The error saying that I would have to go to the Apple store was back.  I called Verizon they said it was on Apple's end.  I called Apple and they said it was on Verizon's end.  I decided to go to the local Apple store to see if they could help.  The rep at the Apple store was really helpful and said that is the same message they see when someone is setting up a new Verizon account (We have been with Verizon since 2002, and have never been late on a payment).  During our investigation the Iphone 6s showed available at another Apple store about 10 miles away.  I ordered the phone and set up personal pick up for the phones.  I went to the Apple store with the phones showed them my personal pick up confirmation and Verizon was blocking the phones from being sold.  I checked my account and I had already been charged by Apple.  Luckily the Apple store have a personal representative to contact for issues, it took 2 hours on the phone with her but eventually I was able to get the 2 Iphone 6s and go home.  I also had the Verizon representative tell me that it could be my employer discount causeing the error.  I went through the process of removing the employer discount and still cannot order the phones through the Apple store.  I bit the bullet and ordered from Verizon knowing that I will probably not receive my phone til next year even though my email says it will ship by 10/31.

    Over the past few days I have tried to change my email contact address for CC.  Have made the change and pressed the button to have a verification email sent.  Nothing gets to me.  The account works and nothing is showing up even in my junk box.  Have then tried to contact the Customer Care Centre...  What product? Adobe Creative Cloud.  What topic do you need help with? > Sorry. No data available for this product at this time.  Catch 22.  One might be tempted to say "typical".  Not that tempted yet.

    It was wonderful of your mother to purchase a Samsung Smart TV for you and I hope that you had a wonderful trip! It is truly disheartening to hear of the damage you state you found when you returned from your trip out of the country. 
    Per our Return & Exchange Promise and assuming your mother falls under the standard 15 day return and exchange period, unfortunately we wouldn't be able to exchange this TV due to it being beyond the 15 day timeframe, but also as damaged items are considered nonreturnable.     hi i called the customer care to repair my iphone 5c and the advisor told me there are no Apple store in Belgium you have to go to paris, i have to pay 300euros to travel to paris !!! i bought a battery on eBay and i replaced the mine but the problem was not the battery but the logic board.
    i called i second time Apple customer care and the advisor told me you can take your iphone to Easy-m (repair center agreed by Apple inc.). i left my iphone to this shop and now he will not repair it for me because i opened this one.
    the first advisor told me there are no apple store in brussel and you have to travel to paris ... it's not my fault if the advisor was not good trained ... i bought my iphone and he still on warranty to 27 December i will this iphone 5c repaired

    Apple will not touch any iPhone that has been opened by anybody other than certified technicians, especially when they install an unknown battery from an unknown source.  You have sacrificed any support and warranty from Apple:

    please read my comunications with msi online help, after constantly being directed to sites to get contact details where both sites give the same telephone number to ring, which only redirects you back to the website you got their number from! i feel like neo in the matrix!! where he runs from the train station and ends up where he started!!!

    msi k7n2 delta motherboard packed up
    ive had this motherboard for almost 9 months, and now it is displaying errors.
    error 1: on athlon xp3000 incorrectly reads as not installed
    properly or damaged processor.
    error 2: on a 2.5 athlon xp it reads correctly but incorrectly
    states memory is damaged or non working.
    i have followed the instructions in the manual to clear/reset the cmos but to no avail, i have also tried removing the lithium battery and leaving the cmos in the clear position for 24 hours before replacing the battery and replacing the cmos jumper but to no avail.
    i have tested both the procesors and the memory (2 x 512mhz matched pair of crucial pc3200) on my other system motherboard and these all are all fine.
    i cant reflash the bios as it isnt a removeable bios and it will not even boot enough to access bios or even to turn on my monitor let alone access the floppy drive.
    summary of problem: wont boot to bios
    incorrectly reports errors on processors
    incorrectly reports errors on memory
    cant reset the cmos setting
    cant reflash the bios
    the cpu fan doesnt power up
    its been ok for nigh on 9 months
    everything works fine on different motherboard
    i have read the manual cover to cover and no joy.
    please help as this is less than a year old and the shop where i purchased it from has been closed down for over 5 months and the owner is beleived to have emmigrated to taiwan.
    i still have the full original packing and the board is clean and non dusty.

     i have tried the numbers given and they all tell you to go to the website, the 2 different sites give the same number!!!   
    i have tried to return the board to place of purchase but it isnt there anymore!!!!
    this is terrible customer service, i shall be posting all my questions and your replys (yourself and the other questions i have been asking on your site as i have txt copys) on the forums so people can see that if you get problems on msi products, they just give you the run around!
    the telephone numbers given go to an automated helpline that just gives websites!! that i have been on already and gave me that number!!!!
    am i in the matrix???

    amd athlon 3000 xp
    1 gig pc 3200 400fsb crucial ram (matched pair of 512mhz)
    ati radeon 9700 pro
    1 x ide 160gig hd
    1 x ide 120gig hd
    1 x sata 200gig hd
    1 x q-tec psu 650w triple fan
    more than adequate cooling
    basicallig the system ran fine,
    then it stopped working
    the d-bracket shows different errors which are as follows:
    1) it says the 3000 processor is damaged or incorrectly fitted  ( its fine on other board )
    2) it says memory is damaged or incorrectly fitted ( also fine on other board )
    3) i have tried resetting the cmos settings ( tried jumping the jumper and disconnecting the battery for 24 hours)
    4)cant get to boot at all not even to turn on monitor so i cant flash the bios with floppy disk
    5) the cpu fan doesnt work on the 3000 but does on the 2500 processor:
    action taken by me:
    tried 2.5 athlon xp in motherboard and it registers as there on the d bracket but then says memory is damaged or incorrectly fitted
    tried jumping the cmos with no success
    tried removing the lithium battery for 24 hours with no success
    i have tried both 3000 xp processor and 2.5 xp processor and memory on another board and they are all fine. ???
