Landscape for Urgent Correction

Hi all,
I am working on Urgent Correction process PoC.  I have created a logical component with multiple clients (two quality clients, two integration clients) between development and production client. 
When I created an Urgent Correction change document (SDHF) with the above mentioned Logical Component, I could see only three clients (dev, quality, and production) not all the clients?
When I used same logical component for Implementation Projects, I could see all the clients..
Could anybody explain why Solution Manager behaves differently for Urgent Correction (SDHF) and Normal Correction (SDMJ) even though the same logical component is used.  Please make a note that I am working on PoC.

Hi Mike,
If we want to import to multiple clients/systems we need to include them in the system landscape under quality system.(even the integration clients should be included as quality system in system landscape).
The task list of an urgent correction contains exactly one production system (where the problem occurred) and only the systems that are on the shortest transport route from a development system to the production system. The reason for this is that you want to implement your urgent correction as quickly as possible.
So when we use Urgent correction the only option available to move the tp's across multiple clients is to use the report.
We have also tried to do some setting in STMS but ended in Vain.

    Hi Kirti,
    Urgent corrections are independent to the maintenance cycle.Urgent corrections are permitted in every phase except for the Go-Live phase.So it is not required to be in any particular phase for urgent correction .

  • How to import a transport from an urgent correction into QAS again ?

    Hi guys,
    we're new in charm.
    We have an urgent correction document, with 1 transport.
    We've put the urgent correction in status "to be tested" so now the linked transport is imported into QAS system. But this was a little bit too soon :-s
    I had to do some manual work on QAS before importing that transport.
    Can I easily (or how can I do this at all) import that same transport again into QAS ?

    Hi Guys,
    We have implemented change request and upgraded for SP 15 support pack
    when the user tries to import through urgent correction by selecting pass correction to test the TP is not getting imported, when i checked the log it is saying
    System cancel RFC destination SM_BQ2CLNT100_TRUSTED, Call TMW_SET_PROJECT_SWITCHES: No authorization to logon as trusted system (Trust ed RC=2).
    You cannot import any requests for project BD2_P00001 at the moment
    Then i went to show project status switches and changed as "Request can be imported" from " request cannot be imported", then the user is able to import the UC from the task list,
    But ideally the status switches should be " request cannot be imported" so that the TP can be imported only through change request.
    kindly give ur inputs as it is very urgent.

  • Automatic import urgent corrections

    Hello ,
    we have a userown urgent correction (zdhf). everything is ok, but we want import the urgent correction autmaticly in the productivesystem in the evening, if the urgent correction hav the status "authorized for import".
    is it possible?

    We use now the report sap_socm_service_report with a variant. it works good.

    I am on ERP2004, EP 6.0 SP20. I am trying to create a system landscape for the ESS/MSS Applications. ALways the connection test fails. This is the landscape I am trying to create:

    When I am testing the

    I am getting the following errors:
    1. Retrieval of default alias successful
    2. Connection failed. Make sure user mapping is set correctly and all connection properties are correct.
    <b>WAS Connection Tests:</b>
    1. The system ID is valid
    2. The system was retrieved.
    3. The system object represents an SAP system
    4. The following parameters are valid: Web AS Protocol (http) Web AS Host Name (<J2EE Engine Host>.<company.com>:50000)
    5. The host name <J2EE Engine Host>.<company.com> was resolved successfully.
    6. The server <J2EE Engine Host>.<company.com>:50000 could not be pinged successfully.
    SSO is not set up yet. I do not understand why the details of J2EE Engine under WAS details in a system type : SAP Dedicated Application Server? Please help me. I am missing something.

    Single Sign On set up and every application is working on portal.
    But the ping always fails.
    I do not understand one more thing from help.sap.com on System Landscape for ESS.
    Documentation says:
    Set up your system landscape. To do this, set up the following systems:
    what kind of system this is: SAP_R3 or SAP_BW/SAP_CRM. In standard portal system template, there is no system like "J2EE engine".

  • Urgent Correction 'In Development'

    Hi,
    In Urgent Correction when we execute action 'In development'  a transport request is also created. How is the transport request creation triggered from "in development' action.
    Actually i have a requirement where i want to separate the two actions 'set in development' and 'create transport request'. I compared the 'In development' action for both normal and urgent correction but couldn't find the difference. The 'Set in development' action doesnt create transport request in case of normal correction.
    In case you know where the difference lies please provide insights.

    Select the transaction type and under assign actions delete entry
    E0002 CREATE_REQ
    now when you execute action 'in development' in urgent correction the transport request is not created.
    You can create a new action 'Create Transport Request' similar to the one for normal correction.

  • Landscape for implementing Recipe Management

    Hello All,
    Can someone kindly guide me as what's the recommended Landscape for Recipe Management, for example should two different ECC clients should be mantained ?, Recipe Management Recipes/Specifications stored in first 'source box' and Supply Chain data like BOM and Master Recipe stored in target box (basically creating bom/master recipe using transformation process from source box) ???. Kindly please throw some light and also how data is distributed between the two clients. Is Material Master first created in Supply Chain Box (target box), than ALE'd to source box, where it can be linked to Specifications??
    Kindly let me know if I am thinking in correct direction, and also how to connect the 2 boxes?

    I think u r right abt the path proposed. However, i am adding few lines further. When implementing ALE functions it has to be ensured that the SAP system is implemented in a well structured way in both clients. Also it has to be ensured that during installation of ALE,  the specification global settings and process functions are not altered in any way.
    If ALE business processes are supported, functions and processes must be defined on a cross-system basis. The message types exchanged between the systems are defined in the distribution model. To implement the distribution of business application processes and functions using ALE it is indeeded to construct a logical Distribution Model of the whole system.
    Within the framework of this configuration, customers can specify which applications are to run on which systems and which messages are to be exchanged between the applications. For example the Master data distribution for logistics is .
    You can specify the relationships between logical systems, message types, BAPIs and filters in the distribution model. Applications and the ALE layer use the model to determine receivers and to control the data distribution.

  • Urgent Correction COmpletion

    Hi all,
    We are using SOLMAN 4.0 and SCM is configured for multi clients.Now when i do a urgent coorection,while completing the urgent correction it gives a warning "Not all mandatory phaseswere completed Do you still want tocomplete the task list?".
    We are haveing 3 developement clients and iam moveing the request from 110 client.
    Moreover when i click complete correction,it tries to log on to 120 client(i.e., i am taken to the logon screen)when i enter the password,it then gives the above warning.
    Can anyone tell what are all the mandatory pahses for a urgent correction?
    Why it logs to 120 client when i click complete correction?
    FYI:It was working fine when there is only single clients in dev and quality.

    Hello,
    the usual action after the completion of urgent correction via Task Plan called "Complete Correction".
    After this action the are no more action possible in SDHF because the SDHF has an intern status "finished".
    The last action in this process is in SDCR. Here you have execute the action "Confirms Realization".
    After this action the are no more action possible in SDCR because the SDCR has an intern status "finished".
    You can send an email notification after each action. This is not SAP standard. You must create your own CRM action.
    The note 691303 (Sending E-Mail from message after status change) will guide you.

  • Urgent Correction cancellation

    Can anyone tell me how to close an urgent correction, the associated change request and support message after the change request has been approved but then the decision is made that no work is required.  The developer has not been assigned to the urgent correction and no transports have been created.

    If the urgent correction is in created state you can go to action and click withdraw correction.This will close the Urgent correction and the preceeding document i.e., change request will be changed to to be approved status.Then you need to close the Change request manually and close the support desk also manually.

    Hi Kriti,
    The external reference field can be changed to Ticket no. for this you need to find out in which table the external refernce field is stored, then doble click on component type of External refernce field(CRMT_PO_NUMBER_SOLD), once you double click on component field it will take you to data element(CRMT_PO_NUMBER_SOLD). in data element select FIELD LABEL tab and select goto menu and select Transalation. one you click on transaltion it will ask for target language, so in target language select EN and press enter then one more screen appears there you can change the field name and save it.

  • The requests imported within an urgent correction, getting reimorted in MC

    Hello All
    Using change request management, I found that when we are importing normal corrections, the previous imported requests via urgent corrections are getting re-imported in to the production. It’s the standard configuration that SAP provided, but its going to be trouble if its going to overwrite the previous imported changes.
    Does any one know how to resolve this issue to avoid re-importing of already imported requests in maintenance cycle [MC]?  Is there any way to resolve this issue?

    I am using solution manager 4.0 SP 12, with default functionality I am facing following issue.
    For example request T1 is released from Dev and imported in QA, then after PRD in urgent correction. In maintenance cycle i.e. normal correction, request T2 is released from Dev, but while import in QA, its importing T1 and T2, same happens when we are trying to import it PRD, its importing again T1 and then T2.
    This is happening because requests are getting import with “import again” tp option, but its set default for preliminary transports i.e. urgent correction. As its happening via change request management I don’t know where do we can change/set this option or change these default configuration settings.
    Its problem if its try to import the already import request as it may have impact on the current functionality as per our users & client’s concerns.
    Will you please help me in this ?

  • Duplication of Urgent Correction in CHARM

    Hi Guys,
    I am currently working on CHARM implementation and my doubt is when i select the action as "withdraw correction" and save the transaction the Urgent correction is getting withdrawn, but simultaneously one more urgent correction is getting created with a different transaction ID. If i select action as "withdraw correction in urgent correction with sap_all, then the UC is getting withdrawn and new UC is also not getting created .This is only happening  only with diffrent user ID's
    Kindly give your inputs on the abouve issue.

    From my understanding the urgent corrections don't care what state the maintenance cycle is in but they do need to belong to one. When the maintenance cycle is changed for the normal corrections to be imported, the urgent corrections are imported again. I can't remember where I read this, but it was in some ChaRM documentation. Perhaps someone here can elaborate.

    Need your advise urgently.Please help us with ur suggestions.
    We have installed SAP Netweaver 2004s(BW7.0) in Dev server.
    Currently we are planning to create three clients in that server and do
    the client copy.
    client 222 for Dev
    client 333 for Sandbox
    client 444 for QA
    Is that possible to have three clients for BW7.0 in same Server?.or we
    need to have different servers for Dev,Sandbox and QA?
    Please advise the right landscape for Netweaver 2004s..

    You can have only 1 client running in one BI system so you would need 3 different systems  - one each for Dev, QA and Prod.

  • Automatically confirm CR after Urgent Correction closed

    How do we setup ChaRM so that when an URGENT CORRECTION is closed, the CR is automatically confirmed.
    ie. Urgent correction > Imported to Production > Confirmed > Closed
    (at this point the CR would automatically change from Approved to Confirmed)

    I have checked the config in the IMG (as per your suggestion) and can confirm I have already set this up.
    ZDHF E0008 SET_PREDOC
    and
    ZDHF E0010 SET_PREDOC
    This should change the ZDCR status when the ZDHF is closed (E0008) or withdrawn (E0010).  But it's not happening
    With the ZDMJ I have added similiar config:
    ZDMJ E0013 SET_PREDOC
    and
    ZDMJ E0014 SET_PREDOC
    This is working fine for ZDMJ.  When a ZDMJ is withdrawn (E0014), the ZDCR goes from Approved to Pending Approval.  When a ZDMJ is closed (E0013), the ZDCR goes from Approved to Confirmed.
    Just need to get ZDHF doing the same thing! 
    Shivjansi - is there something else I can look at for ZDHF to get this working?  Thanks!!!
