Hi Prashant,
The value for MODE should be "bitmap" or "character" .
You should exchange the Width and Height of the report,
and then change the layout of the report.

How to print a report in landscape?
Hi,
I am using crystal report for visual studio 2010 and I buid a win form test application in c#. I add a crystalReportViewer1, and reportDocument1(unTyped) on the form. In the design time the report (.rpt) is in portrait paper orientation. I want to change the paper orientation to landscape at the runtime. The code snippet is as followed,
reportDocument1.FileName = @"D:\DotNet Execises\CrystalReportsApplication\CrystalReportsApplication\CrystalReport1.rpt";
reportDocument1.Load(reportDocument1.FileName, OpenReportMethod.OpenReportByTempCopy);
crystalReportViewer1.ReportSource = reportDocument1;
reportDocument1.PrintOptions.PrinterName = @"
LINDY\HP LaserJet 4000 Series PCL 6";
reportDocument1.PrintOptions.PaperOrientation = PaperOrientation.Landscape;
When I click a button to print the report
private void btnPrintCrystal_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
crystalReportViewer1.PrintReport();
in the print dialog box the paper orientation is correct,ie. landscape. But the actual printout is still in the portrait. Why? how can I print it in landscape?
ThanksOpen the report up and check on the Dissociate... option or do it in code and also.
Try this ... cboCurrentPrinters is a dialog box I created to fill the local user printers in a list
private void button1_Click(object sender, System.EventArgs e) // Print To P button
System.Drawing.Printing.PrintDocument pDoc = new System.Drawing.Printing.PrintDocument();
CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.Controllers.PrintReportOptions rasPROpts = new CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.Controllers.PrintReportOptions();
CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.ReportDefModel.PrintOptions newOpts = new CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.ReportDefModel.PrintOptions();
pDoc.PrinterSettings.PrinterName = cboCurrentPrinters.Text;
pDoc.PrinterSettings.SupportsColor.ToString();
if (pDoc.PrinterSettings.SupportsColor)
MessageBox.Show("Printer Supports Color", pDoc.PrinterSettings.SupportsColor.ToString());
rasPROpts.PrinterName = cboCurrentPrinters.Text;
rasPROpts.PaperSize = (CrPaperSizeEnum) pDoc.PrinterSettings.PaperSizes[cboCurrentPaperSizes.SelectedIndex].Kind;
rasPROpts.PaperSource = (CrPaperSourceEnum) pDoc.PrinterSettings.PaperSources[cboDefaultPaperTrays.SelectedIndex].Kind;
newOpts.PrinterName = cboCurrentPrinters.Text;
newOpts.PaperSize = (CrPaperSizeEnum) pDoc.PrinterSettings.PaperSizes[cboDefaultPaperSizes.SelectedIndex].Kind;
newOpts.PaperSource = (CrPaperSourceEnum) pDoc.PrinterSettings.PaperSources[cboDefaultPaperTrays.SelectedIndex].Kind;
newOpts.DissociatePageSizeAndPrinterPaperSize = true;
newOpts.PaperOrientation = CrPaperOrientationEnum.crPaperOrientationLandscape;
rptClientDoc.PrintOutputController.PrintReport(rasPROpts);
MessageBox.Show("Printing report.", "RAS", MessageBoxButtons.OK,MessageBoxIcon.Information );

Printing Crystal Report to Printer from Windows Service
Hello Support,
We are currently using 13.0.3.612 version of Crystal report. We want to print the report to the printer from the windows service. For printing the report to the printer we are using the “PrintOutputController.PrintReport” method. At our end on the Windows 8 machine this method is giving following error:
Message: Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component.
StackTrace: at CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.Controllers.PrintOutputControllerClass.PrintReport(PrintReportOptions options)
at PMLWLibrary.CrystalReport.LoadReports()
And on the Windows 7 machine the report is sent to the print spooler, however the report is not printed on the printer. Not sure what could be causing the issue. Can you please let us know what could be causing the issue.Hi Brian,
Thank you for your response.
We tried running the service under the domain user account as well which has access to the printer, but even this fails. Further, from the regular .net application when we try to print the report to the printer, it directly prints the report without displaying any print window. So I assume that even from the service no print window should be launched. Can you please confirm on this.
We are attaching herewith the code snippet which we have used to print to printer through the service. Can you please review the same and let us know if we are missing something here.
Dim printReportOptions As New CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.Controllers.PrintReportOptions
Dim printOutputController As New CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.Controllers.PrintOutputController
Dim rptClientDoc As CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.ClientDoc.ISCDReportClientDocument
rptClientDoc = ReportDocument.ReportClientDocument
printReportOptions.PrinterName = "\\pc2\HP LaserJet 1015"
printReportOptions.JobTitle = [Enum].GetName(GetType(ReportNames), PrinterSetting)
printReportOptions.Collated = False
printReportOptions.AddPrinterPageRange(1, 1)

Does anyone know how to fix a problem printing with HP Laserjet printer?
We've recently begun experiencing problems when trying to print to our HP Laserjet printer. The iMac system seems to recognize the printer, but the print job gets "held up" in processing and never prints. We can turn the printer on and off and then one print job will be executed. However, then the system "freezes up" again and we have to repeat the whole process of turning the printer on and off. Very strange and frustrating. Especially, since the printer was working fine until recently.
Any help would be appreciated!Are you definitely running 10.6.7 as your profile says, or could you be on 10.6.8. If it's 10.6.8 quite a few people have reported printing problems.
Have a look at this thread: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3137602?start=75&tstart=0
Worth perusing the whole thread but 'velocius' seems to have posted a solution that has worked for several people (make sure you use the correct entry - 3 from the end of page 6).
If you are on 10.6.7 you could try 'resetting the printing system'. System Preferences>Print & Fax and Control+Click on a printer listed on the left and select 'reset printing system'. All your printers will be deleted and need to be added again, but it might help fix the problem. -
Printing Multiple Reports in a Single Request Set to Different Printers
We are running on 11.5.10 and have three reports in a single request set.
Two of the reports are standard laserjet compatible reports and we would like these sent to whatever printer is specificed in the request set when it is executed. The third report is a shipping label report and we require that this report always print to a specific (tractor feed) printer while using a partiuclar style we have defined for this printer.
When we set the label report in its concurrent defininition screen to print only at the label printer and the request set to print to a nearby laserjet the request fails on the first job (one that should be sent to the laserjet) with an error indicating that the style defined for the label printer (ie. "RAW") does not exist on the laserjet printer (which it does not, but it does not need to be).
Is it even possible to have two reports in a single request set print to different printers?
Thanks,
ScottWe never bounce the concurrent manager process when we update the concurrent program define. There has never been a need to do so. But, regardless, it bounces twice a week anyway and it has had no effect.
I do not think this is possible without using a 3rd party/custom solution (ex. Optio).
The requirement is pretty simple really: We have a report that MUST ABSOLUTLEY ALWAYS_ print only to a single, particular printer. And, if it is in a request set that contains other reports and it is defined to print to a different printer they all should go to the "correct" printers.
If anyone has a method to do this please post!

===================
Hi,
I have same error message(Message Title: TerminateProcess Value; Message Body: 5-1) showing up when using Orarrp to print directly to printer on WEB using Oracle Forms. On my pc it shows when I have adobe acrobat reader opened up already and on others it may shows even if adobe acrobat is not already opened. However document gets printed but this is very annoying for the user to see this message.
Client Environments:
1. Windows XP, HP LaserJet 5P and HP LaserJet 4100 Series PCL, Adobe Acrobat 6.0
2. Windows 2000 Professional, HP LaserJet 4000 Series PCL, Adobe Acrobat 5.0 and 6.0
Thanks
Kulwinder SidhuHi Kulwinder,
We are getting this problem whenever we go through the following steps:
- Generate a PDF report without an ORARRP file extension on a dedicated reports server. Preview the report by opening in Adobe Reader using WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT.
- Generate a PDF report with a ORARRP file extension of rrpa on a dedicated reports server. Directly print the report without a print dialog box using WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT to invoke ORARRP.
After printing the Terminate Process 5-1 message appears and Adobe is left running. If the first step is missed out then printing occurs without error and Adobe closes automatically.
Please could you give more information on how you solved the problem. I am using Windows XP and Adobe 7.
Thanks,
Pete -

Questions on Print Quote report
Hi,
I'm fairly new to Oracle Quoting and trying to get familiar with it. I have a few questions and would appreciate if anyone answers them
1) We have a requirement to customize the Print Quote report. I searched these forums and found that this report can be defined either as a XML Publisher report or an Oracle Reports report depending on a profile option. Can you please let me know what the name of the profile option is?
2) When I select the 'Print Quote' option from the Actions drop down in the quoting page and click Submit I get the report printed and see the following URL in my browser.
http://<host>:<port>/dev60cgi/rwcgi60?PROJ03_APPS+report=/proj3/app/appltop/aso/11.5.0/reports/US/ASOPQTEL.rdf+DESTYPE=CACHE+P_TCK_ID=23731428+P_EXECUTABLE=N+P_SHOW_CHARGES=N+P_SHOW_CATG_TOT=N+P_SHOW_PRICE_ADJ=Y+P_SESSION_ID=c-RAuP8LOvdnv30grRzKqUQs:S+P_SHOW_HDR_ATTACH=N+P_SHOW_LINE_ATTACH=N+P_SHOW_HDR_SALESUPP=N+P_SHOW_LN_SALESUPP=N+TOLERANCE=0+DESFORMAT=RTF+DESNAME=Quote.rtf
Does it mean that the profile in our case is set to call the rdf since it has reference to ASOPQTEL.rdf in the above url?
3) When you click on submit button do we have something like this in the jsp code: On click call ASOPQTEL.rdf. Is the report called using a concurrent program? I want to know how the report is getting invoked?
4) If we want to customize the jsp pages can you please let me know the steps involved in making the customizations and testing them.
Thanks and Appreciate your patience

I think I posted it in one of the threads2) When I select the 'Print Quote' option from the Actions drop down in the quoting page and click Submit I get the report printed and see the following URL in my browser.

Yes, your understanding is correct.3) When you click on submit button do we have something like this in the jsp code: On click call ASOPQTEL.rdf. Is the report called using a concurrent program? I want to know how the report is getting invoked?
No, there is no conc program getting called, you can directly call a report in a browser window, Oracle reports server will execute the report and send the HTTP response to the browser.4) If we want to customize the jsp pages can you please let me know the steps involved in making the customizations and testing them.
This is detailed in many threads.Thanks

How to Create the Custom print Quote Report ?

Oracle Metalink:
Note: To add a column to the print quote report, following files need to be updated:
LinesVO.xml --- xml files containing the sql query and attribute definition
LinesVORowImpl.class - public class extending the framework class OAViewRowImpl.
This class contains the set and get for the attributes defined in xml file.
ASOPRINT.xsl - this is the xsl stylesheet file used to describe the report layout.
This file needs to be modified to include the new column being added to the report
QUESTION :
My question is,
1. wether my approach (below iare the details)of trying to extend the PromptVO is the right way or is there any other way to add the new columns.
I want to add new fields on to the report . When i looked into the it says the below
Here we find that to add a new column, oracle says to update the LINESVO.xml, do they really mean to update the base files.
This report uses following VO's
PROMPTVO
HEADERVO,
LINESVO.
To create new Headers & Prompts, i tried extending the PROMPTVO. Once the extended VO is substitued , i dont even get the data for standard oracle Prompts. is this the right way to add columns?

Print crystal report without using the print button on toolbar
Hi,
I am working on Crystal report XI. I need to print the report w/o using the toolbar. So I have inserted a print icon in the report. On clicking that icon it should call a jsp page which will print the report. I am not able to call any print methods provided by JRC to do this.
Can someone help me with this problem.
Is there some other way to implement it ?
Thanks

CR_newbiePrint the report where? On what printer? The server's printer?
Java code runs on the server. You can't affect the client's computer from JSP.
You can write javascript code which can call window.print() but that is working through the browser to display the print dialog box (as if the user selected file:print) -
Print a report on doc format truncate data

but when I print the same report on doc format truncate data on left and right side.

Reports does not support .doc format. Are you referring .rtf format?
In any case, you must contact Oracle Support to get the issue resolved.

Print the report on page has width larger than height and not landscape mode
Hi,
I'm trying to print report on page (Width: 18cm, Height: 13cm) which the width larger than the height.
The problem is windows keeps changing the page oreintation to landscape and when I change it back to portrait its changing the width to 13cm and height to 18cm.
I'm using dot matrix printer to print the report, if i put Landscape , printer is printing the text in horizontal.
Already i have tried to setup the custom for on printer, and used custom page size but it is changing to landscape.
I need to print the report with out preview, direct print top printer, NO PDF....
Thank you .....Hi Anil,
After testing the issue in my environment, I can reproduce it. When I set (Width: 18cm, Height: 13cm) as the Report Page size, it would automatically convert Orientation from Portrait to Landscape. Because the Orientation displayed is dependent on the page
width and page height of the report.
But in my scenario, the Orientation option just change the Width and Height sizes, it couldn’t affect the text rotation. I guess this issue can be caused by the printer and printer driver, please try to update them. Reference:
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/15244336/printing-in-landscape-or-portrait-automatically-rotates-text-ssrs?lq=1
Hope this helps.
