Last Backup late never changes

I have installed Oracle 10g on a Linux server. I let the install create a database and set it up for automatic backup. The Oracle Enterprise Manager, Database Home page shows a backup was taken a number of day ago and has a green check mark next to it. If I click on the date it takes me to the Manage Current Backups page. This page displays a number of backups up to today. Why is the Database Home page not in sync with this one?

Reset my Timecapsule, my old backups are still there but Time Machine says last backup was never

Ive been using my Time capsule as a router for 5 months and recently moved were I had a router supplied. I plugged my wireless modem into the Timecap and still used my home network. I recently decided to not use the Timecap for a router but just as a backup. I was having connectivity issues so I pressed the reset butting for 5seconds and reset it. When I look inside the drive I can see my old backups, but in Time machine it says my last backup was never.. Id like to get it back to were I can just auto backup and I have the history of the last 5 months. Please help

Thanks for your response. I selected the tc via select disk in the preferences window. It did a countdown of two minuites. After that a window popped up and said thus.
Time Machine completed a verification of your backups. To improve reliability, Time Machine must create a new backup for you.
Click Start New Backup to create a new backup. This will remove your existing backup history. This could take several hours.
And gives me two options Back up later - Start new backup
Is there anyway to keep my old backups. (naming the drive differently, anything?)

Whatâs up with âLast Backupâ date?

I have a 10g database running on Redhat and I can never get the Last Backup date to change. I was set by the Oracle default backup and has not changed yet. As you can see the data is 4/17/04.

Fraid so .. there are way too many weird things and gotchas with this product.
At this point I would delete the database from oem.
Go into targets, select the db click remove.
After about 10 minutes (or check the Management tab, overview .. verify the deletion was complete.
Go back to the agent tab, click Go to the database prompt for it to rediscover the database.

Last Backup Date doesn't change

Since installing BB Desktop 6 (including the beta), my last desktop date has never changed from my initial install date (7/26/10 @ 5:25 pm).
I had hoped the release version would solve this. I back up daily, but the date does not change on the DM6 "home screen". I have verified that the back-ups are in the correct path and are valid back up files (I can restore data).
I have searched through the registry and various RIM files in the users/appdata, program files/common files directories, but see no file that is obviously the source of the date fed to DM on start-up.
I tried a repair install. No dice.
My install was an upgrade from 5.0.1, and I didn't wipe and reinstall because I didn't want to lose my add-in sync and custom filter options. In DM5, I had weekly back-up set and it worked like clockwork...although I couldn't see the date, it was obviously keeping track...now if I set to weekly, it attempts to back up whenever I connect because it thinks it is 2 weeks late.
If this is the worse issue I have with DM6, so be it...just annoying more than anything else...
Also...I installed on 2 other PCs (3 total)...the issue is only present on the 1 PC.

In the case of the Browser Data Cace that one is really easy to get rid of.
Start Desktop Software 6
Attach your BB
Wait for, or cancel the sync / backup
Click Device
Click Delete Device Data
Change the radio button from "All data" (Why is that the default?) to "Selected data"
Scroll down to "Browser Data Cache" and check it.
Uncheck the "Back up data" box, since you are unable to backup this database anyway...
Click Delete
When asked to confirm the deletion, click "Ok"
You shoudl see a progress bar and the message "Deleting Browser Data Cache"
Once it completes, you will get a dialog that says "Your data has been deleted", click close.
That shoudl return the browser data cache to a clean state and eliminate the problem. I'm not sure if the same procedure will work on your profile database or not. I know in my case when the profile database gets corrupted, I end up restoring it from a backup before the corruption, and it ends up being fine again for a long time.

If you restore to an older backup, you will get the content that is in the backup. Everything on the iPhone will be erased and you will be brought back to the time that backup was made. The backup disk image "/Volumes/Data/Linda's Computer 1.sparsebundle" could not be created (error 22).
I tried resetting the Time Capsule and connecting with an ethernet cable, although the Ariport Utility says everything is working fine through WiFi.

If the light will not turn on the TC is dead. No matter that the hard disk is running.. it should only run at start up or when it is accessed not constantly.. that means the board in the TC has failed. Apple do not repair them.. They will replace it under warranty or applecare.
If you have gone over the 12month warranty it will still be covered if you have applecare on any computer or an Apple TV. In fact the cost of the apple TV plus apple care is still cheaper than buying a new TC.. so it is a route some people are taking.. certainly depends.. in some places like Europe or Australia now, there is a recognition that statutory warranty must be longer on a product that is premium to the market. 12months is not good enough. Apple will sometimes listen.
They might be fixable but I do not know how.

Why when I click restore, does it go through the motions but not actually change any of the data to match the last backup?

So I just got a new computer and when I added Itunes it's missing over half the songs. My old computer is useless so I cant get the songs from there. I thought I might be able to transfer the songs from my ipod to the itunes but in case that didnt work I backed up my ipod. When the itunes only erased the songs i had and added their less than half full list I immediatly stopped the sync and restored from my last backup. Itunes and my ipod go through the motions like its going to work but my ipod still only has the songs which are on this itunes even though the intallation never finished. Why is this happening and how can i get my songs back?
Why is it that apple has never made transferring your songs when you get a new computer any easier? It is the most frustrating thing.

Synced media like songs and apps are not included in the iPod backup that iTunes makes. Thus, if that media is not in the iTunes library it can be restore to the iPod.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
You might try a forced shutdown to begin with, hold down the top and home buttons together until the device shuts down, then restart it.
If your back up continually fails, you might try turning off back up on your mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup) and then deleting the backup file from iCloud by swiping the backup file on the mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup > manage…) and then turning back up on again.
If this doesn't help, try turning off some items for back up in a pattern to try to establish if your problem is being caused by specific data on your device.
Being able to back up to the cloud can be very useful, especially if you don't have access to a computer or have infrequent access to one, however unless you specifically need to use iCloud for back up, you will find backing up to iTunes significantly more convenient and possibly more reliable.

I cannot get my IPhone 3gs to restore to my last backup?

I had an issue with IPhone 3gs earlier so I synced and backed-up the phone and then attempted to restore the phone to see if I could eliminate the problem. After the restore and software update, it brought me to the "Set up your IPhone" page and I selected "restore from the last backup on my iphone" then clicked "continue." It started to restore from backup and everything appeared to be running like normal, but when it was finished and my phone restarted, my apps and songs were deleted but my pictures/wallpapers/contacts were still on the phone. In addition, instead of my itunes returning to my Iphone's library, it returned to the "Set up your IPhone" page like the restore never happened. I have tried to restore from backup multiples times after that but I end up with the same result so I cannot access my iphone's library on my itunes to add any of my songs back since the restore didn't bring any of it back. Does anyone know of a way to solve this issue? I've been able to restore my iphone successfully in the past and have never experienced this problem before so I have no idea as to how I can fix it. I hope I have explained it in a way that is easy to understand and I hope someone possibly knows how to help me.

anyone can help me...my iphone 4s is not charging and the charging icon remain 1%...and there is a time it will come on and i will try to reset the settings but the problem it doesn't turn on once it dead.And i went to the apple store today and they said the charger connector or the charging port has been bent..they want me to pay 199 plus tax for another phone.Since i have this iphone 4s for 1 year and 2 months so it is very frustrating for me...So i decided not to buy another iphone..If i want to get another one not with apple anymore.So,when i got home,my wife try to make a research on the computer try to troubleshoot on our own because i cannot believe what the Apple manager told us "THE CHARGING COONECTOR HAS BEEN DAMAGED MAYBE BECAUSE i FORCED TO CHARGE EVEN IT DOESN'T FIT" it is a big insult for me because this is not my first phone..So my wife word hard for it and she keep on pressing the power button every 15 minutes..(10-15 seconds and it come on).And again i try to reset again its dead..I cannot turn back on....any advise?looks like apple wants only money and they are not trying there best to help there customer problem.

I have the same problem.. latest version of iTunes (11.1.5) and latest version of ios (7.1) but it gets stuck at "waiting for changes to be applied" and I can't cancel the sync manually. It doesn't cancel on it's own either (at least not the 8 hours over night that it was syncing) and if I unmount the phone then the phone keeps the sync going (the little spinning arrows in the upper left corner) and doesn't recognize that it's been disconnected..
I've tried restoring the phone (with little success, managed to get one more song on there) and syncing over wi-fi but nothing seems to work. Any thoughts, anyone?

Update date never changes

I have updated my Mac on a regular basis and I think all of the updates are working fine. I have no issues with the machine. The odd thing is that in Software Update/Scheduled Check it always says the last time it checked for updates was September 26, 2010. The machine has updated successfully since Sept. 26th but the date for "Last check" never changes. Is there an issue?

I had that problem once. Drag Macintosh HD/Library/Preferences/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.plist to the desktop. When things are correct again, you can trash it.

HT4623 when you restore games from your iPod touch that are backed up to the cloud, does it restore your game play history as it was at the last backup?

grandson loaded up the iPad touch we gifted him. iTunes (he uses a PC at home) says to restore factory settings. we understand that will wipe data from iPod touch - but we did confirm his "Minecraft" app and a half-dozen others were backed up as recently as 1 pm today. If we restore to factory settings, then "restore" his iPod from the iCloud back up, can anyone confirm his "gameplay" will also be restored as of the last backup? Not a gamer, never had this concern... I know his Purchased Apps are still on iTunes, but he's panicked about losing his minecraft "score."

Yes it you restore from iCloud backup game status will also be restore provided that the app is still avaialbe form the App store.

Time Machine shows no last backup date or oldest backup date

Hi,
Sorry for the long title and if this question has already been posted, a search didn't show it up. I'm running leopard 10.5.6 on my iMac 2.4ghz intel, and the time machine icon in the menu bar has stopped showing the date of the last backup and when I check in sys pref no date info is shown for the most recent of the oldest.
Anyone have any idea how to cure this.

I have been using TM for about a month with a new LaCie d2 Quadra. I do not know how this is calibrated for dates. When I activate TM it shows today. For anything back from there it dates everything January 17, 2009 6:45 PMCDT until it goes back to February. In the spot indicating the latest backup it is Jan 17 09 6:45 PMCDT for today. What do you think is responsible for time and date being the same and the actual backups are dated with the wrong date going back until clicking back in time it's the Jan. date until March 20,2009 January 17,2009 6:45 AMCDT. I tried the com.apple.TimeMachine.plist idea. No change.
