Launching a subvi as a separate application

I posted last week about opening a subvi in its own window and was able to do so sucessfully. But, I would actually like the subvi to run as it's own separate program, rather than as a subvi. Is there any way for me to do this?
In the main program, I have an event structure to monitor the buttons on the ui. Once I launch my subvi, the main program no longer recongizes those events, and the front panel buttons are not functional. The subvi indicates a hardware error, and I would like to be able to exit out of my main program in the case that the hardware error cannot be resolved. But my exit button doesn't work!

This error message is most commonly seen when you try to run a VI that is already executing.

After these changes in registry the behavior of the button was suppressed, the Firefox stopped to start unexpectedly all the time – so in system it works. But the problem is still when I have opened Firefox. Every time when you want to surf in internet – the homepage is activated also unexpectedly. I wrote this post with intention to ask if there is a possibility to switch off the functionality of this quick launch button in Firefox. Because I assume Firefox overrides the system setup – this I have made in registry. I tried with some option changes in about:config but without success. And I know that for older versions of firefox was some option in about:config do disable_quick launch button. But in 10.0.2 I couldn't locate it.

Subvi Loading when Main application is opened

Hello, I have a main application which I would like to sometimes launch a subvi which adds some additional calculations. My problem is that when I load the main application, the subvi loads aswell. I can close it and then it works fine to open and close etc. I have unchecked all the subvinode setup attributes as well as the vi proporties but this does not seem to change things. I have attached a pic of the vi hierarchy and the subroutine shows a red highlighted thread from the main application, not sure what this means. Any help would be appreciated!!

Hi, I have attached a back panel view of the Vi and it's properties, the subvi which I am trying to load is in the case structure. These are the current settings I am using and now it seems to not open the subi when it loads but now another problem. If I use the boolean control to open the vi it trys to open but sits underneath the main vi and does not respond to any actions. Everything works great until I build the application then it goes wonky!!

Can a subVI tell when the application it is part of has been stopped and restarted?
It is easy enough for a subVI to tell when it has been run for the first time after having been loaded into memory. But is there a way for a subVI to tell when the application it is part of has been stopped and restarted? Is there some property or application-invocation-specific refnum that when queried multiple times during the same run of the application would return the same value yet when queried during different runs of the application would return different values?
I don�t want to depend on anything that happens when a run is exited.
I don�t want to require code to be included in the main V
I to accomplish the solution.
(Otherwise I could, in the main VI create an un-named semaphore tied to a global; the subVI could then check the global to see if the value changed, which it would between runs of the application.)
Any ideas?

Have you tried the First Call? function? It's on the Advanced>Synchronization palette.

Not sure what you mean. The iPad and iPhone both come with a built-in Music app and you can sync and have your content on both of them.
If you've bought a third-party music app then you can also have that on both devices.

Launching safari on iPhone from native application without new page

I have to synchronize my native application and web application for iPhone.
And somewhere in between I wish to switch in between safari and my native application.
So at first from browsing through my web application the user comes to a link where my native application (already installed by user) is launched... From this native application I wish to send control to same web page in safari where user left off... But when I try to launch the url in my native application safari opens up new page every time. I wish that I just give a call to safari like tel://7077063437 so just safari is launched showing previously opened page of web application where user left off...

After that when he try to play some selected content then he is asked to download and install player application... Now to this player application I wish to attach UIWebView in it... So user wont have to go back to safari but can browser through the web application within th installed application itself...

I tried using two browsers. The behavior of each page is very much different when being opened individually. Its like the two pages is sharing the same iterator / data and / or entity object. These two pages were opened to see if one is dependent upon the other. But when I test the same scenario on a different computer, everything works out fine.
Is there a way for me to verify if the sessions are different? and if they are different, is there a way to verify if the application module created a new instance for the other session?

Separate application for organizing videos?

I was wondering if anyone could recommend some software like iPhoto that could be used to organize video content in a separate library. I don't wish to clutter my iPhoto library with GBs of HD footage, and I'd like a simpler way of finding my videos apart from my pictures.
Also, would it be possible to break the association between my camcorder (Sanyo VPC-HD2000) and iPhoto so that the iPhoto import screen doesn't come up every time I sync the camcorder.

BTW you know that when you import a movie to iPhoto it's automatically tagged with a keyword - movie - which makes them quite easy to find and sort separately from your photos.

You can do this with Image Capture (in your Applications Folder).
as an alternative (that I just thought of), is there a way to configure iPhoto so that every time it opens (without hitting any special keys) it would ask the user to select which library they want to use? Then I could have a separate library for just video on a different hard drive.c
What's a "special" key? It will do this if you simply hold the option (or alt) key while launching.

Yes, you can. However with WebLogic, if you want to separate the Web server
requests from uthe app server then you don't need to use WebLogic's Web
server. WebLogic comes with plug-ins for IIS and Apache. So you can just
configure these plug-ins on your existing Web server (which can serve static
content) and have all dynamic content re-directed by the plug-in to your
WebLogic app server.

I have a simple web-start enabled Java application, which I can launch from a brower by entering :
https://xx.xx.x.xxx/MyApp/launch.html
This method would show me a page. I then had to click on a link to run my application.
I noticed that I could also launch my program by entering :
https://xx.xx.x.xxx/MyApp/launch.jnlp
This method would run my application right away.
I wonder if there is a recommended way to launch/run a web-start enabled Java application?

How do I launch Adobe Viewer (or Reader) from my Swing application. I have a help menu item that needs to open the viewer with the PDF help manual. Since the application is cross-platform, do I need different versions of Adobe with my install package? Thanks for any help.

Launching SAPGUI for Windows from WD application

Hi,
I have managed to launch an SAPGUI transaction "BRF+" at the click of a link on my Web Dynpro application. For this, I used the sample code from Reg calling Transaction code in Webdynpro ABAP
However, this opens the SAPGUI for HTML, where the transaction is not rendered correctly. The display is restricted only to a small of the IE screen, and no button clicks are working.
Is there any way to fix this? Or, is it possible to launch SAPGUI for Windows from a WD application?

Do you mean, tcode opens in minimize window mode? if yes, then in create_external_window method , try to maximize the window by default.
