HT204266 Can I swap use of music Apps between my iPad & iPhone? Do I have to buy separate applications for my iPad & iPhone

Not sure what you mean. The iPad and iPhone both come with a built-in Music app and you can sync and have your content on both of them.
If you've bought a third-party music app then you can also have that on both devices.

If I purchased Sling Player App for my Ipad, why do I have to purchase it again for my new Iphone?
1. Yes.
2. No.
3. Log into the Mac App Store with the Apple ID you used to purchase it and download it again, or if you still have the installer application, move it to the iMac.

iTunes is saying that I have over 4.78 GB under the category of "other", making it so my iPhone 4 can't add any data (music, apps, pictures, etc.). I'm currently using only 1.3 GB of storage on my iPhone, and the rest is "other". How do I fix this?
Not if you sync your contact to itunes using the program provide i.e outlook..etc

How can I ensure itunes purchases (music, apps) are paid using credits which show on the account instead of billed to my credit card? Info indicates credit is used first but I just bought a song and it did not seem to be deducted from my credits shown on account.
Hello how to use this,
The article linked below details how to go about viewing your purchase history in the iTunes Store.

When one or more family members who have been sharing one iTunes account wants to create their own iTunes account can they each upload the music/apps from the shared iTunes on their devices to the new iTunes account?
Yes. I would clarify your statement about the "shared" iTunes Library though. If you want each iOS device to have its own music library, you should create separate user accounts for them. Read:
iTunes: How to share music between different accounts on a single computer
How to use multiple iPods, iPads, or iPhones with one computer -
I now have 4 itouches, 1 ipad mini and 3 iphones in use by my direct family. What's the best way for me to set things up so that we can all share the same music, apps, movies, shows etc?
I would prefer to have one account to input dollars which allows all the users (my direct family) to share and buy things.
Can we all have different user ID's however share the same account?I'll try to help a bit.
ITunes match space is different to icloud space. With iTunes match you get storage for 25,000 non iTunes purchased tracks and other than a limit for individual file size, there is no memory limit.
You can turn match on individuallyon each device (I have it turned off on my iPod but turned on on my iPad and iPhone). When you turn it on then you get access to all the tracks, and in my experience any playlists I create have transferred over very well. I understand that some people have had trouble with playlists though.
I'm not quite clear with exactly what you mean regarding cleaning up your library, but be careful about using Match for this. There is no guarantee that matched songs will be exactly the same version as your own copy, due to some mismatches, so you could find some problems there. Personall, I am cleaning up my library before matching, but I am rather particular about keeping my library the way I want it. If you aren't as fussed then match could be the answer.
Hope that helped. -
Since iOS 8.1.1 I can no longer use my mail app.
Since iOS 8.1.1 I can no longer use my mail app on my iPad Mini. The mail app opens and updates, however the screen does not respond to anything. Am rather stuck as to what to do. This is the Mail App that comes with the iPad Mini.
I have tried to turn the iPad On/Off all to no avail. I don't really want to reset my iPad as this will cause more trouble than it is worth and will ultimately update the iPad to iOS 8.1.1 anyway. Do any of you have any suggestions that don't involve resetting the iPad ?
Thanks AllBefore you delete your mail accounts, try giving your iPad a reset and force closing the mail app. It may clear up the glitch before you remove and add your info again
Reset
Hold down the sleep and home keys for about 20 seconds. When you see the silver apple, let go and let it reboot. No data will be lost.
Force close an app
Double tap the home button. When you see the app previews on the screen scroll sideways if needed to get the preview in question on the screen. Flick that preview up and off the screen to close the app. Single tap the home button or home screen preview to exit the mode.
If those don't fix it then try to remove and put your info back in. -
Why can't I use my old apps that I purchased on my ipad 1?
I don't understand why I can't use my old apps that "I" paid for. They all worked fine until I can no longer update my ipad. When you purchase software for your computer you can keep using it until your computer dies. Doesn't seem quite right that suddenly your apps are all gone and you can no longer use them.
Maybe I'm missing something, but I have the Ipad 1 which is sufficient for me with the Apps I "had" now each time I update and sync I have fewer and fewer apps that actually work. I think at least I should have the last updated version of the app.Don't update....
Some of these apps may be fixed to be backward compatible. Until then you will lose apps if you allow updates on the computer and sync to iPad. -

Why can't I download apps I have to pay for on to my new iPad Mini. I have had an Apple id for my iPhone for years and have downloaded app to it, no problems. When I try to download apps to my new iPad Mini, it tells me my billing info has to be confirmed. After confirming with same info that is already there it tells me to contact support, no help up to this point.
Could the credit card be expired?
Beyond that, what you need to do is contact iTunes support, they can tell you exactly what is wrong, none of us here can do that.
In the lower right corner of this page is a 'contact us' link. Click on that and you'll see a page full of info and links, one of which is iTunes support. -
I have problem syncing my music to ipad. Most of the songs are duplicated but only in ipad. I checked the music library in itunes and there didn't have the duplicated songs like in the ipad. I can not delete the duplicated songs inmy ipad.
Hi, Abril_Perez17.
This may be related to a new feature embedded in iOS7 that shows all purchased music by default. Go to Settings > Music, then turn off Show All Music. See if the issue ceases once the feature has been disabled. This information is located on page 63 of the user guide below.

Had to replace defective iPhone, do I have to buy apps again?
Had to replace defective iPhone, do I have to buy apps again? Will they sync from iTunes with different iPhone?
yes - they are tied to your apple id not a specific iphone - also you can always download apps that you have already purchased from the itunes store without being charged again - there is also a purchase history on the itunes stores where you can download them from for free
i dont believe this is true for things like music or other media on itunes -
I tried to download an app for the iPad and was told the file was too large for the iPad; so I tried to download it on the MacBook but it never showed up; any suggestions? PS, I got the receipt from iTunes store so it was paid for
