LCDS + JBoss Help

I am looking for info. on getting LCDS to run on JBoss 4.2.2. I searched google and found a few links that looked promising but they are no longer up.
Such as:
http://acspace.can.adobe.com/blogs/xav/2008/03/15/how-to-setup-an-efficient-lcds-applicati on-with-flex-3-on-jboss
Anyone know how to get to that place on adobe...the posting was just a few months ago.
I have a WAR (exploded) running in JBoss. (i.e. C:\jboss\server\default\deploy\MyProject.war)
The project exposes a Java class as a web service using Apache CXF. I have a Flex 3 client that accesses it, all is well.
I'd like to add LiveCycle DS (LCDS) to the web app so that I can get messages from ActiveMQ to my Flex client. What do I need to do to make this WAR one that includes the LCDS configs and JARs necessary ?
thanks

  • Modeler development - Flash Builder 4 and LCDS JBoss

    Hi,
I am trying out modeler development in Jboss, Followed the below steps and I am getting error while deploying the model
1         Installed LCDS 3.0 as JBoss.
2         Uncommented the RDS configuration in web.xml of lcds.war.
    3         Copied lcds.war to jboss-4.2.3.GA\server\default\deploy folder.
4         Configured Flash builder RDS Server to point Jboss.
5         Created Data model from Database.
6      Getting error while deploying the model.(PFA JBoss Error-1.txt)
I am assuming bug LCDS-408 does not apply to Jboss 4.2.3.GA, but still went ahead and removed hibernate related JAR from WEB-INF/lib folder.
After this change while deploying the model(fml) following error pops up in flash builder. Corresponding JBOSS log in JBoss Error-2.txt
I did not find any documents /blogs related to modeler development in JBoss
Please help me on this, Thanks in advance

  • Connecting Playstation 3 to LCD Monitor HELP!!

hey guys im new at this and i need some help please
i have a ASUS 23inch Widescreen LCS monitor and supports HDMI and HDCP.
i have done some research on how to set this up. people told me i jus need a HDMI cable in which i already purchased. is there anything else i do?
for sound i would like to connect a speaker system in which im still researching for a decent one. any suggestions? anything under 100 dollars is at best for me
also what cables or adapters would i need to have in order to connect the speaker system?

You're trying to use a PS3 with a PC monitor?  I thought that couldn't be done, but I'm not sure.
    Why wouldn't it?
PC monitors and LCD HDTVs are nearly indistinguishable from each other now, at least when connecting via HDMI.
It should simply be a case of:
HDMI from PS3 to PC monitor
Audio output (depends on your audio system) from PS3 to audio system.  (Actually, this is one of the few differences between PC monitors and TVs with HDMI connectivity - most PC monitors don't have speakers, TVs do and support HDMI audio.)
In my case, I have HDMI to my 46" TV and optical audio to a Yamaha receiver, but could easily move the PS3 to my "office" and connect to my 24" Gateway monitor and my other Yamaha receiver.  (Yes, I have TWO Yamaha HTIB systems, one in the living room and one in the "office".)

  • LCD/HDTV help for a newbie

I am a longtime BB customer and am finally taking the HDTV plunge.  I have narrowed it down a bit to the Insignia NS-L37Q (32" is too small, 40" is too big) versus a Dynex DX-37L150A11.  I am not a cinephile so the basic features are fine with me and the price is right (I am a cheapskate).  It is a 37", 1080p LCD HDTV.  This is for basic TV, sports, DVD viewing.  Please indulge a few newbie questions.
    1) The one small reservation I have is the Insignia's native contrast ratio at 1400:1 and brightness 500/cd/m2.  Should I be concerned that it isn't high enough?  I note the Dynex 37" in the same price range is 4000:1 but 450/cd/m2.
    2) I have DISH satellite but may switch to DirectTV but assume both are similar.  I assume I'll need a special HDTV box from them, correct?  And HDMI cable to connect from box to set?
    3) I have never bought a service plan in my life but am considering one for this.  The Insignia already comes with a 2 year warrenty and this extends it to 4 as I understand it.  Is $89 on a $549 LCD worth it?  I'll be ticked if a pixel goes out in the middle of the screen, but does "burn in" still even happen on these units?
    4) I run the DVD player through my stereo currently (because I am too cheap to buy home theatre sound) so would I just hook that up the same way through the audio inputs?  I understand it won't be digital or anything.
    5)  It has 3:2 inverse pulldown.  Is that good and why should I care?
Any help from the experts here is greatly appreciated.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I would recommend the Insignia, as both are Best Buy house brands but I've noticed better image quality and reliability with the Insignia's as opposed to the Dynex tv's.
    1)  While the Dynex has the better contrast ratio, the difference between 1400:1 and 4000:1 is not very staggering.  Disregard this comparison.
    2)  Yes you will need a set-top-box from DirecTV, fortunately you can pick these boxes up at the store and can subscribe to your DirecTV account while you shop.
    3)  $89 for 2 years of peace of mind on an LCD tv is worth it, though I don't think it extends the contract to 4 years, rather, the service plan covers "normal wear and tear/heating issues/power surges", whereas the standard 2 year warranty only covers manufacturer's defective parts and labor.  $89 is fair, cheapskate or not.
    4)  Your DVD player setup will work fine, but consider getting a blu ray for next Christmas, you'll thank me later.
    5)  Don't worry about this.
I don't claim to be an expert, but I am an enthusiast, so any "experts" out there feel free to chime in and correct me if I may be wrong.

  • QUICK ANSWER.Apple iPod touch 2nd gen. Digitizer and LCD replacement help.

    Hi,
I bought a digitizer from amazon and a LCD from there. And I got them today. When I installed my LCD I got a white screen, but restored ( I didn't have my digitizer on) so I tried to touch my LCD when it said slide to unlock, but nothing unresponsive and it still is. I put my digitizer on but I only had one screw that holding down the battery. And i connected it and nothing. Took it out, now I googled why it dos t work and it said "logic board" how do I know if it's broke. iPod touch 2nd gen 8gb

LCD stands for Liqued Crystal Display and isn't the problem.
the digitizor has a meaning in which i just forgot and
why in the world are YOU replacing the stuff???

  • Jboss help!!!!

I want to configure Jboss in my eclipse. I'm currently using eclipse version 3.1.1 and jdk 1.4.1_01 version.
    I copied JbossIDE and Easie Plugins (com.genuitec.eclipse.easie.jboss , com.genuitec.eclipse.easie.core).
I then tried to configure as given in the following site
    http://www.laliluna.de/webprojects-eclipse-jbosside-tutorial-en.html
But on mentioning Jboss Home directory I get the following error
[JDK]: Could not locate tools.jar. Unexpected results may occur. Make sure that you have selected a jdk with its path pointing to its home directory not to its JRE
Following are the details i provided on clicking NEW (Jboss 3.2.x - pls see the link as i followed that)
Name: Jboss3.2.2 (name i have given)
    Jboss 3.2.x Home Directory: D:\Jboss3.2.2\Jboss3.2.2RC1_tomcat-4.1.24
(this directory name is the folder containing the extracted content of the zip Jboss3.2.2RC1_tomcat-4.1.24 stored in D:/Jboss3.2.2)
Hav I mentioned the correct path in home directory? ...why am i getting this error? Can anyone help??
    Thanks in advance

    hi,
I resolved this problem. Try doing the following....
Goto Preferences -> Java -> Installed JREs.
click Edit on selecting the currently added JRE.
In JRE Home Directory: Set the path to the installed jdk version folder. say, u have installed jdk1.4.2 in folder "java" in ur C:/MyInstallations
Then give the home directory path as C:/MyInstallations/java/jdk1.4.2
It worked for me...u too try out!
... I got this solution from the following link...

  • What is wrong with my LCD? Help!

    Hi guys,
Hoping you can give me some advice on what is going on with my screen.
I have attached a photo but basically anything that is usually white on the screen now shows up as vertical blue lines.
It is not a software/driver problem as it occurs on startup/in the bios, and it doesnt occur if I connect an external monitor.
I have tried swapping the RAM around etc and the problem still occurs so dont think its video ram (uses the same ram?)
The problem has been getting progressively worse. By pushing on either the palm rest or sometimes on the power strip cover the problem goes away for a while but then comes back in 5 minutes.  So I assume it must be some cable/connection.
Is it worth me trying to repair this myself? Where should I start? Replace the signal cable?
    Thanks for your help.
    Al
    Moderator edit: Removed broken link.

if you have valid warranty, just call lenovo support.
you may void your warranty if you have. if you don't hava valid one, it could be cable, connector, graphic card or lcd itself.

  • Blank screen, Intel Mac mini, Samsung P23700 LCD monitor; HELP!?!

I just got a new 23" Samsung LCD monitor and hooked it up to an Intel Mac mini. Turning on the system results in a blank screen with the monitor simply displaying a dialog box that seems to show that it is trying to figure out if the incoming signal is digital or analog. This dialog box is on for a few seconds and then the monitor goes to sleep. The monitor realizes that there is a signal coming in; As soon as I disconnect the DVI cable I get the standard "Check Signal Cable" on the monitor's screen. I don't even get the initial white screen on the Mac boot up. nothing. just the monitor's confused signal identifying dialog.
I've tried connecting the Mac mini to the monitor with a DVI to DVI cable and a DVI to VGA to DVI connection, with the same result.
I've also tried the monitor with an older PowerPC based Mac mini with the same result.
Both Macmini's work with out a problem when connected to my 32" LCD TV with a DVI to HDMI cable.
I also tried the Samsung monitor with a little Windows XP running laptop using the VGA to DVI cable and the monitor worked like a charm; I think that fact has been the most painful part of the process up to now.
The windows machine's screen set up that worked was 1280x800 at 40Hz. I can't get a resolution like that on the Mac's display settings. I've only been able to hook it up to the LCD TV, and the display settings when hooked up to the TV are limited to LCD TV settings; i.e. 1080i. I've also tried setting the mac mini to 800x600 but still get no picture.
Resetting PRAM etc. didn't help either.
    I'm stuck... any ideas people?

I've tried connecting the Mac mini to the monitor with a DVI to DVI cable...
    That should work.
and a DVI to VGA to DVI connection...
That won't work. Once you go from DVI to VGA from the mini, you need to stay VGA. There is no going back to digital. So try DVI to VGA and then a VGA cable to the Samsung.
I also tried the Samsung monitor with a little Windows XP running laptop using the VGA to DVI cable and the monitor worked like a charm;...The windows machine's screen set up that worked was 1280x800 at 40Hz.
I wouldn't call that working like a charm. 1280 x 800 at 40Hz is a completely bizarre resolution for a 23" monitor, or any monitor. I would begin wondering if you got a bad monitor if that's the best it can do.

  • LCD display help!

i have had my contract phone for 4 months i am so careful with it and yet my screen has gone i sent it away for repair and they have told me the warranty doesn't cover it as the LCD has been damaged. IM 100% sure i never damaged this and now IM expected to pay £77 to have it repaired I am so angry.has anybody else had this problem and do you know where i stand and if i have any rights ?
They are refusing to waiver the charge as they say i must have damaged it!! i know this is a problem with blackberrys the screen going.
but can anyone help i want to know if i have a leg to stand on !!!
    Thanks in advance

    Try this:
Hook the MB up to the Vizio.
Hook the MB up to it's Magsafe power adapter and plug the adapter in.
Close the lid on the MB so it goes to sleep.
Now, plug something into a USB port on the MB.
The recommended thing to plug in would be a USB keyboard and mouse. But you could use just one of those, meaning either a keyboard or a mouse. If you don't have a USB keyboard or mouse, you can just plug in one of those USB flash memory devices.
The USB activity will cause the MB to wake up with its lid down and only the external (Vizio) screen will be active. Once that happens, you can lift the lid on the MB and use its keyboard and trackpad and the built-in screen will stay off.

  • Macbook, Mini DVI to Composite/S-Video and Vizio 32" LCD.  HELP: Resolution

So I bought this adapter to hook-up my LCD TV to the Macbook, and I cannot get the correct resolution for this TV.
"32" HD 1366 x 768 native LCD HDTV" is the Specs.
NOW, I did download SwitchResX, but was unsuccessful in registering the custom 1366 x 768 resolution, the LCD TV simply prompts: "No Signal"
Under 1280x768 the TV does work, but it looks blurry.
    Please Help

The Mini DVI to Composite/S-Video is for use at standard TV resolutions, such as 640 x 480. Fo the full 1366 x 768 try using a DVI to HDMI cable with the Mini-DVI to DVI adapter
    <http://store.apple.com/us/product/M9321G/B?fnode=home/shopmac/macaccessories/displays&mco=MTgyNTQ>
or use VGA with the Mini-DVI to VGA adapter

  • MacBook hdmi lcd display - help needed!

Hi all, I'm connecting my MacBook to my 32" Vizio lcd via hdmi (using a mini-dvi to dvi adaptor & dvi to hdmi cable). When I mirror displays, one of two things happen: (1) either the Vizio display is too small and has black bars around it, or (2) the Vizio display is too large and I cannot see the menu bar or the dock.
The fist time I connected to the tv, I managed to get the full screen display perfectly but have not been able to repeat this since. I've tried everything I can think of - different combinations of resolutions, with and without overscan, etc.
    Any advice much appreciated!

    Try this:
Hook the MB up to the Vizio.
Hook the MB up to it's Magsafe power adapter and plug the adapter in.

  • Trying to get High Def Picture/Video to my 40" LCD. Help

    Hey all
I have recently brough a MacBook Pro 2.33,
I have downloaded some videos & TV eps which are in High Def (720). On the MacBook they look brilliant, I wanted to hook the Macbook up to my Samsung 40" LCD and then hopefully be able to watch my High Def videos on the big screen in crystal clear quality, So I hooked up the macbook to my TV via a DVI - HDMI Cable and got the display on the LCD, which looks ok, Thought it would be perfect as it was just using it like a Monitor. I played with the resolutions to get the best fitting picture as there doesnt seem to be the Native Res for my LCD, I always end up loosing a tiny bit of the screen at the top & the bottom, but not too fussed about that, So i was playing my High Def Videos but they are definatly not in the quality that they look like on my Macbook, Very bitmappy etc..
Wonder if you lot can offer an advise as to how I can use the Macbook to get true High Def picture to my LCD
    Thanks in advance
    Cube Design
PS. Obviously all this will give me Video out, but hows the best way to get sound out? just a headphone to phono lead into my amp?

Large screen displays don't necessarily have a 1:1 pixel mapping. Ideally you should find out what your display's native resolution is, and pick something close to that. 720 is 1280x720, 1080 is 1920x1080. Your TV may only accept those resolutions... it's a TV and not a monitor.
My Pioneer (connected to my mac mini) is receiving 1280x720 and the menu bar barely shows on the screen due to overscan but movies look great.
You can turn on underscan (picture is shrunk to avoid overscan) on a tab on the Displays preference pane, provided your Mac detected that it was a TV.

  • Playstation 2 to Widescreen LCD Monitor-- Help

I recently purchased a 23" Acer widescreen 1080P monitor at a Black Friday sale, and I love this new monitor. It's twice as big as my old one and it is really nice. Anyway, I've heard stories of people hooking up video game systems (in my case a Playstation 2 would be what I would like to hook up) to their monitors. My neighbor a few houses down has his 360 hooked up to his aging CRT type monitor. I don't know the exact details but i've looked up a lot of information on how to do so, and it's all very confusing. First, i'd like to point out that that in addition to the standard VGA cable to plug into my desktop tower, it also features a DVI-D jack. As I mentioned above I would like to start hooking up my Playstation 2 to my monitor and playing on the widescreen. I know it can be done and it has been done, I just would like to know a simple way to start doing it, and if possible, items I could purchase at my local Best Buy so that I could play my Playstation on my monitor again. Any and all opinions/tips to accomplish this are welcomed. I am 17 years old and I have about 50 games for my Playstation 2, most of which I have owned since my childhood. I would like to fully enjoy these games more often, so please help!

  • NEWBIE: G5 not displaying on my LCD PLEASE HELP!!!!

Hi, just joined the forums. I am completely new to Macs other than playing around with a few vintage systems. I did have a G4 MDD briefly but did not keep long enough to actually do anything with. I just bought a Power Mac G5 dual 2.0 with (I think) 1.5 gigs of ram. The guy I bought it from showed me that it worked by displaying it though an S-Video adapter he had onto his TV but he did not have a monitor. I figured that was good enough. I took it home and tried to hook it up to a spare Dell 1908FPT monitor I had lying around. It shows the initial bootup screen but eventually goes to a blank background. I can move the mouse around but there are no icons and I cannot do anything. I've managed to get it to boot to the install media (figured what the heck clean install). It seems to go though the install but eventually gives me a blank background same as before. A couple times while trying to boot it will go black and the fans get louder and louder...

Yeah, that's what I thought. Or didn't think of.
Monitors don't need drivers, the computer or video card does.
Could it be a problem with the adapter? Wouldn't think so.
What kind of video card do you have? Probably a Radeon or Nvidea. And it has an s-video port... I don't recall having one on the Dual 2.0 that I had, but that probably doesn't mean much.
You don't have that cable do you? I'd say you could try using your tv for a monitor to see what happens if you did.
Darn, there were over a thousand support pages on that monitor or ones like it. Maybe buried in there is some kind of answer. And yet I think we're missing something simple...
I'm very sorry to hear about your job. You don't need added grief at a time like this.
