LE-WM how this shipping process in warehouse management

hi
what is exactly shipping process how it is supported in  logistic execution and warehouse process
what is the process of outbound deliveries can you tell me how these process useful in warehouse management .
thanks inadvance.

HI Subash,
In case of Shipping with Warehouse Mangement we process the picking functionality using transfer orders.
I.e when we create a delivery with reference to the sales order,  the delivery qty will be editable but the picking qty field be display only. You can also see the Overall WM status in the Picking tab as A - Partially processed. (If all the IMG settings are done correctly).
Once you entered the Delivery qty save the delivery doc with pickin qty as 0 (display).
Now go to transaction LT03 (TO with ref to Delivery Note) & create a Trasfer Order (TO) with ref to Delv.d. Then confirm the TO using LT12 transaction.
Now go to VL02N you can see the Picked Qty in the Picking tab & also the Overall WM status will be C - completely Processed. Now do the PGI for the delivery.
Hope it helps.

  • Return process in Warehouse mangement

    Hi all,
    can any one telll me the steps involved in the return process in Warehouse Management.
    Waiting for UR early reply.
    With Rgd
    Vinod

    Everything starts in inventory management.
    once the goods movement is posted in IM, then you get the stock into the interim storage type in WM. at the same time you should get a transfer request which need to be converted into a transfer order to move the material into its final bin.
    In case of a customer return:
    CSR will enter a return order.
    then a return delivery is created.
    Then post goods receipt is done in reference to the delvery.
    you get stock into the interim bin
    convert the TR to a TO and confirm the movement.
    then in inventory management a transfer posting is done to change stock status from return to own stock.
    at the same time you get a transfer posting request in WM, which you can process with LU04 transaction, to get the status in IM and WM in sync.
    finally or somewhere between in this process the CSR issues a credit note to the customer.

  • Help..Problem GI for Warehouse Management

    Dear Expert,
    I have a problem for GI process in warehouse management. When  there are stock transfer material sloc non WM to sloc WM , user have to create transfer order and confirm transfer order to place material in storage bin. Otherwise, if user didn't create transfer order, material will stay in Storage Type 998 (AUFNAHME).
    If there are GI process after that, for example GI to cost center, user still can issue material from Sloc even material hasn't placed into storage bin. Then material issued will stay in Storage Type 911 (GI Area for Cost Center).
    Question is...how can i clear Storage Type 911 (GI area for Cost Center) after GI process??Is there any way i can restrict GI process so that user can't issue material which hasn't placed into storage bin (still in AUFNAHME)???
    Help me please...
    Rgds,
    Aleluya.

    First of all:
    It's strange that storage type 998 is used in your system for GR in transfer posting process - it is used for initial stock upload in standard system. Interim storage type 921 is used for SLoc-SLoc transfer posting.
    Is there any way i can restrict GI process so that user can't issue material which hasn't placed into storage bin (still in AUFNAHME)???
    In standard system not. Maybe through development you could do a check whether there're open TR for the material in connection with the interim storage type or you could check the quants for the interimn storage type...
    But I think and strongly recommend you should not do this.
    The process in SAP (process in ERP) and the physical process (moving the goods physically) should go paralelly. So, my opinion is that you should find out why the goods are not placed in storage bin in SAP whilst they are already in the bin physically. Maybe workers need training / workers have to keep to the rules / you have to revise the process/ use RF devices / etc.
    Question is...how can i clear Storage Type 911 (GI area for Cost Center) after GI process
    You can solve it (e.g.):
    1. Manually, in the sort run: you move the suitable quant from the interim storage type used for SLoc-SLoc stock transfer (921) to interim storage type 911 by LT01 / LT10 (because you should have a +quant in 921 and a -quant in 911).
    2. In the long run: e.g. you can set TR creation for your movement type and processing those TRs (from LB10) you will get the TO and realize the goods movement.
    SPRO > LE > WM > Interfaces > IM > Define Movement Types > LE-WM Interface to Inventory Management
    3. Immediate TO creation for these postings. Please sea OSS note 136796 if you are interested in this solution.

    Using a Z-programI am extending the warehouse managemnt view for a single Plant, the view gets created successfully. But some how an Inactive version of Warehouse management view gets created for other plant also. How we can prevent the creation of this inactive view creation.
    Please let me know your suggestion.

    Read the explanations in OSS Note 67616.
    Bear in mind that, in the structure/table HEADDATA, the for BAPI methods StandardMaterial.SaveData (BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA) and StandardMaterial.SaveReplica (BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEREPLICA) of the business object BUS1001006, you can select the required views and these correspond to the respective maintenance status.
    In the segment E1MARAM of the MATMAS IDocs, you can assign the overall maintenance status in the field VPSTA.

  • What is differance between warehouse management and Extended warehouse mgt

    Hi,
    I want to understand what is extended warehouse management, You will do this. Whether this is extension of warehouse management , What extrac topics are covered in this module.  Please help me understand.
    Thanks.
    kumar,

    Hi Ashok,
    There are various differences between WM and EWM.
    One of the most visible and obvious thing that i observed is tracking of serial numbers at the Storage BIn is not in WM but thats now possible in EWM.
    EWM is just not a Warehouse Management Solution but it also has various other processes like Labout Management, Material Flow Systems(Warehouse Control Systems generally referred as).
    You also have an option of hosting Warehouse Management software on a decentralized system along with ERP.
    Also see the link below, it is a good one to start with

  • How to automate the WM/shipping process after the consignment issue ?

    I am looking for the best way to automate the shipping process after the consignment issue orders has been created. since Warehouse/shipping process will not consist of any actual picking and shipment but we are still required to go through the use of Vl01N and VL02N for Delivery Note and Good issue... steps......I want to know if there is any best practice is to automate the call to VL01N,VLO2N for all the completed consignment issue orders that SAP suggest or someone has done some work in this space.....and can share their views.....
    one situation to explain the needs....
    Create the consignment issue orders via EDI....and once they are there ...we need a automatic process to find these order and create the delivery note , goods issue documents.........looking forward to hear from experts who can inform  if there is a standard SAP process( automatic)  out there or we need to do some custom development....to achieve this....thanks.....

    Thanks for the insight....we are thinking to have a new custom table added which will have all the order that needs to batch processed and if we have any errors we can re process them from the control table ( new custom table)...please let us knwo if there is any other way to do this....or sap already has some tables....whihc we can use...to automate....as a batch process.....

  • How awsome is this setup process?

    Sorry, maybe smalltalk, but after a long time I used the setup process again to reinstall ArchLinux and, damn, how awsome has this setup process become? I remember 0.7.2, not too bad but stupid sometimes. But now?
    If this piece of software would be a girl...

    Your setup is just fine.
    With WPA2 Personal security enabled, which is the strongest encryption you can use for home use, you are in good shape there.
    DHCP is the process of assigning IP addresses to devices on the local network and your Time Capsule is doing this as you have it configured.
    The NAT firewall built into the Time Capsule will do an excellent job of shielding your private network from the Internet, so you are in good shape there as well.

  • How this file is processed in atg

    Hi Guys,
    I have file /atg/commerce/payment/paymentPipeline.xml in my layer like this
    <pipelinemanager>
    <pipelinechain name="giftCardObect" transaction="TX_REQUIRED" headlink="createGiftObject">
      <pipelinelink name="createGiftObject" transaction="TX_MANDATORY">
        <processor jndi="/com/commerce/payment/processor/createGiftObject"/>
         <transition returnvalue="1" link="processGiftCardOject"/>
      </pipelinelink>
      <pipelinelink name="processGiftCardObject" transaction="TX_MANDATORY">
        <processor jndi="/com/commerce/payment/processor/ProcessGiftCardObejct"/>
      </pipelinelink>
    </pipelinechain>
    <pipelinemanager>
    in this file i didnot find any xml combine append for appending both xml files
    and  also when this processor chain will be called exactly and also how atg identify this file and  process.
    Please give me clear clarification.

    PaymentPipeline.xml is used be paymentManager to process the payment group.
    Coming to ur xml: This is a pipeline chain for payment Group giftCard,(assuming by the name, internally u can name it anything and do anything )
    When Payment Manager identifies that ur order contains gift card payment group(If u have selected pay with gift card options), it will invoke this chain to process the payment operations(credit , debit, authorize).
    XML Combine:
    If element doesn't exists, It's new element and will be appended to file.
    If element exists, based on behavior defined in xml-combine (default value append), appropriate action will be taken.
    During append top layer property will get priority
    For quries about payment manager functioning and how this file is identified and processed.
    refer paymentpipeline.xml file in atg

  • How to map this Business process

    Wanted to dispatch Goods thru Stock transfer from plant A to plant C which are in two different states. Further Plant C doesn't have unloding point hence the goods are unloaded at Plant B an intemediate location.
    For this presently one STO is created from plant A to Plant B and another STO from plant A to C. Goods are transferred thru delivery and movement types 641 to location B & C.
    Hence on system delivery is appering twice in stock transfer reports against plants B & C.
    How this procedure can be mapped in single transaction.

  • All of my clips suddenly adopted the "Rejected" attribute and in the process I lost all the "Favorite" designations. I'm have no idea how this happened, I never selected all of my clips and hit "Reject", but I'm wondering if there is any way to

    At some point yesterday all of my saved clips from a large project adopted the "Rejected" classification and lost the "Favorite" designation that I spent the better part of one week selecting. I have no idea how this happened, I surely did not intentionally designate all my shots as Rejects, but I'm wondering if there is any way to remove the Reject designation and recover my "Favorites"? Not that it helps, but it certainly seems there should be a warning message before FCP X does something so radical. Anyone know how can I can fix this? Thanks

    Do you use Time Machine? You should be able to just go back in time on the project file, right? If you don't use Time Machine, you should. A 2 TB external USB hard drive is around $113 at Amazon.com. You just plug it in and tell Time Machine to use it and you're done.
    You can Select All in the Event and then click ont he grey star next to the green star to remove the Rejected status on all clips, but that won't restore your Favorites. You need to revert your project file to a backup.

  • Cost Carrying Over in Drop Ship Processing

    Hello Experts...
    When doing a drop ship sales order, this is the following situation.  Item A has cost at Warehouse 01 (stock warehouse) of $400 and cost at Warehouse 03 (drop ship warehouse) of $425.
    When doing a drop ship sales order, the correct cost of $400 from WH 1 is displayed initially until the WH is changed to WH 3, then it displays WH3 cost of $425.  However, when the Purchase Order Confirmation Screen is displayed, the cost reverts back to $400.  We have done a test 15 times in the Demo SAP B1 and even more information is not passed on using the "Copy To" function (for example, the Delivery does not pick up any costs - it is blank when processing a drop ship).
    Of course it could be changed at the Purchase Order Confirmation Screen, BUT a real simple statement comes up of why does a Sales Person have to change it when the cost is in the system and is displaying correctly on the Sales Order.  From a common sense perspective of financial matters and productivity, it takes the statement even further - why even put a cost on the Drop Ship Warehouse when the system does not pick it up.  It gets even worse when the Gross Profit comes out to being 100%.  The whole drop ship process seems to be a mystery in the SAP Documentation.
    QUESTION: Is there some setting that needs to be changed so that the correct drop ship cost is carried throughout the system automatically and all of this wasted time is cut out?
    The user guide published on Februrary 2009 covering this topic does not say anything about COMPLETE drop ship processing and cuts off at the display of the Purchase Order Confirmation Screen on page 6.
    Thanks - Zal

    Hello Julie - thanks for your reply...version is 2007 SP01 PL05...
    Maybe the problem with the cost being carried over with "Copy To" was corrected in PL07?  Will go to the release notes...
    This is getting to be a comedy - again, I am using and testing this function on SAP's provided "vanilla" Demo database with no changes, so if SAP cannot set up drop ship functioning properly on their own Demo, who can???
    OK - yes, the cost of the product is pulled from the associated vendor which is problem number one - for companies that sell both inventoried and drop ship items on a regular basis, the cost of that product is never the same.  For vendors, onsies and twosies being shipped to our customers incurs a higher expense than a shipment to one site of 100 or 200 items and they will quote a different cost to cover those expenses.  It just makes common sense that the vendor's incurred expenses to fill the drop ship versus shipment to our waregouse is going to be different, doesn't it?  Therefore the actual cost and dollars paid for the product will be different from WH01 over WH03 (or any other area - Base Price versus Discount Purchase Price), and the gross profit is going to be different between the two versions of a sales process.  Creating a thousand different price lists certainly is not the answer!
    And this begs a very simple question then - why even put in an item cost on the Item Inventory Tab for the drop ship warehouse AND why does the system pull the WH 03 dollar amount into the Sales Quotation/Order Gross Profit Base Price field but not transfer it to the Purchase Order?  Why create a constant flood of erroneous Gross Profit information on drop ship AR invoices unless you are happy to have wasted productivity?
    I think the real problem is that this is obviously a very bad design for an SAP B1 function and folks are doing all of these workarounds and extra steps (at least in PL05 so far) to get their work done.  I think it is hilarious that when trying to enter a ticket directly to SAP on this, I got the reply that "that is the way the system is designed" (albeit bad design and no effort to direct me to documentation) and had to post my question here according to new SAP B1 support standards.
    I am going to close this question as there really is not an answer except "way the system is designed" and this thread is leading nowhere.
    Many thanks to everyone who took the time to reply - lol - of course, thanks with points!!!
    Take care all - Zal

  • Decentralized Warehouse Management - Exclude inbound process

    Dear All,
    We are setting up decentralized Warehouse Management, with SAP ECC as ERP and an external WMS-system. We only want to set up the outbound delivery flow and keep the inbound flow in the 'as is' situation*. The question is if this is possible, if yes, how do you have to customize? Does it involve ABAP programming?
    *As is situation: Regular inbound flow where we can handle the complete process in the ECC ERP system without transfering data by using the interface. The data is transfered by mail with the third party logistics provider (Warehouse), but creating inbound delivery, goods receipt,... happens within ECC system when the logistics provider confrims the quantities by mail.
    Thanks in advance for your help!
    With kind regards,
    Wout

    If inbound and outbound are same materials, I doubt that it is possible, or that it makes any sense.
