Left justified for extraction file

Hi iam developing an extraction program on cost center master data, my requirement is the logical file should be (~) delimetered and all fileds are left justified.
there are 10 fileds all are 'C' data type.
i know how to delimeterd but can u tell me what is left justified and how can i make all the fileds are (including datatype N and C ) left justfied?
please explain indeatils

If you are using RTF layout template, left justify the cell there and put two spaces after the number to make Excel think its a character string?

Welcome to the forum!
INSTR and SUBSTR is probably the most efficient way. Use INSTR to find where the last '/' is, and SUBSTR to get that many characters, starting from the beginning of the string.
INSTR and SUBSTR (and REGEXP_SUBSTR, and REGEXP_REPLACE, and RTRIM, and REPLACE, and all the other bullt-in functions) are documented in the SQL language manual:

REGEXP_SUBSTR or REGEXP_REPLACE would also do the job, perhaps with a little less code, but maybe not as efficiently.
Here's a more creative way:
SELECT     RTRIM ( str
           , REPLACE (str, '/')
           )          AS file_path
FROM     table_x
;What results do you want if str does not contain a '/'?

SQL Server 2014 Express extract file parameter?

I am working to bundle SQL Server 2014 Express with an application. I am using the following command line to install via an InstallShield prerequisite: /qs /INSTANCENAME=MYINSTANCE /ACTION="Install" /FEATURES=SQLEngine,Conn,SSMS
/SECURITYMODE=SQL /SAPWD="Password" /TCPENABLED=1 /SQLSVCACCOUNT="NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM" /IACCEPTSQLSERVERLICENSETERMS
The installer I am using is SQLEXPRWT_x86_ENU.exe.
When the installer starts up their is a dialog named: Choose Directory for Extract Files. In earlier versions of SQL Server Express this dialog did not require the user to press Ok to continue. Since it takes several minutes to install
SQL Server Express I prefer to show the installation to the user, so they can see that something is taking place. The /q (Quiet) parameter will suppress this dialog, but nothing is seen for several minutes. Note: the Installer documentation
does state that: The /QS switch only shows progress, does not accept any input, and displays no error messages if encountered. The /QS parameter is only supported when /Action=install is specified. Consequently, I believe the /QS parameter
should not be requiring input.
All that for these questions:
1) Is there away to suppress this dialog while still using the /qs (Quiet Simple) parameter.
2) Is there a parameter to tell the installer to extract the files to a specified location?

Hi,
After you download the installation package of SQL Server Express 2014, and extracts it to the specified location, the dialog of “Choose Directory for Extract Files” will appear when you install the SQL Server Express. Usually, we need to use the following
steps to extract the setup files to a temporary location.
1.In the Command Prompt window type %USERPROFILE%\Downloads\ SQLEXPRWT_x86_ENU.exe /x
2.When prompted to Choose Directory For Extracted Files type C:\SQLEXPR and click OK to extract the files.
Or suppress the dialog to extract the right location in SQL Server Express 2008 or other lower version. Such as
c:\temp>SQLEXPRWT_x64_ENU.exe /extract: "c:\temp".
However, in SQL Server Express 2014, I do a test, we could not suppress the dialog or use the parameters directly to extract in command line. For more information about
installing SQL Server 2014 from the Command Prompt, you can review the following article.

In similar cases, my solution is to "select all" then "deselect" only the artwork I want to keep and "delete". If I'm curious I may "cut" then "paste" to see what shows up in the center of the screen. it is usually some stray point. or other element out direct sight.

Problem with Audigy self extracting file for Vi

I have downloaded the latest Vista driver for the Audigy 2, which is a self
extracting file. When I run it, I always get the same error message:
file error[@s]crc,0xc50a2d5:0x0d8c70c
and then the process aborts. When I download and run the file on my XP
machine, it runs just fine and brings up the installation program. Any ideas
on how I can get this thing to run under Vista. I went this route because I
was never able to get the onboard Realtek '97 audio to work. Under that
scenario, Control panel says the device is working properly and there are no
conflicts, but the speaker icon in the system tray has a red x over it, and I
get no sound. I would gladly accept a solution to either problem so I can get
the audio working.

Ok, I've edited the VI you posted to reproduce my error (this time with 8.0).
I added a "master stop" and "start log" button. To demonstrate my problem:
1. Run the VI
2. Click "START LOGGING" - c:\test.txt is created
3. Click "STOP" - c:\test.txt is closed
4. Delete the file c:\test.txt with Windows shell or explorer
5. Click "START LGGING" - a new c:\test.txt file should be created but instead an error is raised in the Write LabVIEW Measurement File function.
Any ideas?

Omit the Open Hub control file 'S_*' for flat file extracts

Hi Folks,
a quick question is it somehow possible to omit the control file generation for flat file extracts.
We got some unix scripts running that get confused by the S_* files and we where wondering if we can switch the creation of those files off.

Hi,
However, the S_ (structure) file does not reflect the proper structure. The S_ file lists all fields sorted in alphabetical order based on the field name, instead of listing all fields in the correct order that they appear in the output file.
As I know and checked this is not the case. The S_ file has the fields in the order of infospoke object sequence ( and in transformation tab, source structure).
I would suggest you to control it again.

How to look for spaces in an extract file in order to trigger a MOVE_IT rule

In studio I am defining a variable field on a section and I want to pull information from my extract file using a simple MOVE_IT rule.
I am trying to pull information from a record that has spaces in columns 10-14. How do I enter the information required in the DATA field to request this?
For example, if I was pulling the information from a record that had "XXXXX" in column 10-14 I know the DATA field would be 10,XXXXX
I cant seem to figure out how to look for spaces at a particular offset.

Using XPath to locate the elements you are after is very easy.

Why did it stop working all of the sudden. I have had the 5dmk3 for almost a year and I have not had this problem with my current lightroom. Are the DNG files lossy files? Can you work with them with out losing info?

ODBC Problem for MSAccess file as Source data extraction

Hi, Please dont ignore this posting. Please try to help in providing relevent solution to my problem. I believe, my previous posting didnot convey you. Let me explain my problem to you. I have MSAccess database file(.mdb) to process. I am able to process for 1(One) file. I am testing for multiple files submission. As the ODBC points on the file1 and when i need to submit file2, its not allowing me to do a sql query. says, 'Database access Error'. I am trying to work on usual way, that is, moving file from Incoming to Processing folder where the processing folder holds the ODBC pointer on the file, here the file cannot be deleted as the job going to fail. For this reason, i am replacing the file which is under Processing folder and trying to access the file same time, but it fails with the 'Database access Error'. I have tired using DI exec() for replacing file and also tired using the batch script. Here i find the DI is one step behind using the batch script. When i use Batch script it replaces the file in Processing folder and fails with above error but when i use the DI exec() and pass the parameters to Replace file from incoming folder to Processing folder, the job does't support Replace command,instead it starts processing the existing file(ODBC pointer file). I think DI has peculiar problem in this situation. Please advice and show the way how i can fix this. 

How can the ODBC driver still hold a handle on the previous file if the dataflow stopped and hence its process stopped. Can you try with a different application, e.g. excel to do the same manually just to figure it is not a problem of the ODBC driver itself?

Preview app: Add text annotation with left justify?

I'm using the Preview app to insert text into some PDF files. I can use the Annotate feature to create a text box in the area I need it and adjust the font, color, size, etc. The only thing I can't seem to do is set the justification to Left Justify. It will show text as center justify - anyone know how to change this?

I can find out what the defaults are with:
defaults read com.apple.preview
There are many properties but a TextAligment property is not one of them.
I tried below but they do not work.
defaults write com.apple.preview NSTextAlignment 0
defaults write com.apple.preview PVAnnotationTextAlignment 0
NB: 0 means left alignment
Any idea?
Maybe Apple has to create an text alignment feature for the GUI or provide the property that we can set it from Terminal.

How do I left justify the text in the tabs of a JTabbedPane.

In 1.3.1 this used to work by supplying an HTML string with <div align="left"> but when I run with 1.4.1 this is now broken and I get center justification.
Does anybody know a way to get the text in the tabs to be left justified.

First, I found while using JTabbedPane that the "standard" behavior is to allow to a tab the exact space needed to display the tab text. Hence with this behavior, there is actualy no difference of "left" or "center" aligned text. So I assumed that you found a way or another to make your tabs wider than the "string width"...
Here is a solution:
You can override the TabbedPaneUI class and ajust the "layoutLabel()" method. Here is the code..

Create application component(AC)
Right click AC and create datasource

In general tab give short, medium, and long description.
In extraction tab specify file path, header rows to be ignored, data format(csv) and data separator( , )
In proposal tab load example data and verify it.
In field tab you can you can give the technical name of info objects in the template and you not have to map during the transformation the server will automatically map accordingly. If you are not mapping in this field tab you have to manually map during the transformation in Info providers.
Activate data source and read preview data under preview tab.
Create info package by right clicking data source and in schedule tab click star to load data to PSA.( make sure to close the flat file during loading )
3. Creation of data targets
In left panel select info provider
Select created info area and right click to create ODS( Data store object ) or Cube.
Specify name fro the ODS or cube and click create
From the template window select the required characteristics and key figures and drag and drop it into the DATA FIELD and KEY FIELDS
Click Activate.
Right click on ODS or Cube and select create transformation.
In source of transformation , select object type( data source) and specify its name and source system Note: Source system will be a temporary folder or package into which data is getting stored
Activate created transformation
Create Data transfer process (DTP) by right clicking the master data attributes
In extraction tab specify extraction mode ( full)
In update tab specify error handling ( request green)
Activate DTP and in execute tab click execute button to load data in data targets.
4. Monitor
Right Click data targets and select manage and in contents tab select contents to view the loaded data. There are two tables in ODS new table and active table to load data from new table to active table you have to activate after selecting the loaded data . Alternatively monitor icon can be used.

CS4 Help with spry menu bar. Want Top Centered and Subs left-justified.

Hi there, using DW8 mostly, but have the trial version of CS4
for the spry menu bar. WinXP.
Can someone help me with the spry menu bar on this page? I'd
like the main menu to be centered, as it looks better for
appearance, and the sub menus to be left-justified.
