Lenovo T500 battery stays on %100 for awhile then drops down to %99 for no reason
Hi,
The Lenovo T500 battery stays on %100 for awhile then drops down to %99 for no reason. What's up with this and how do I fix this issue? My laptop is really confusing me. The green battery says it's totally charged %100 and the little AC adapter icon in the system tray says "%99 available (plugged in, not charging.")
Thanks,
Liz
Hello Liz,
that is considered to be normal.
It´s bettter for a Li-ion battery not to be charged fully, so the powermanager don´t load the whole time.
That´s why the percentage could drop. But thats not a problem thats a feature.
if your battery handling is set to automatic in powermanager then, eveythings is ok.
Do you use your machine with AC plugged in the whole time?

Why does my battery stay at 100% for ages and then plummet at 100mph?
Since I updated to iOS7 my battery meter stays at 100% every bit as long as it did on iOS6 but then once it starts falling it really speeds up. The first 10% go fairly slowly, the second 10% falls even quicker and it continues in this vein. The last 10% is over in a flash. I have calibrated my battery six or seven times in succession and my battery meter always drops to 1%, it never switches off earlier than it should but I just don't understand this non-linear battery meter reading. It never used to act like this in iOS6.
I had this problem over the weekend. It's very annoying.
Anyway, I read your posts and some others and the only thing that's changed on my phone since I was last abroad and didn't have this problem is that I enabled MobileMe to track the location of my phone.
Makes sense.
The app is constantly trying to update apple with the whereabouts of the phone. With data roaming turned off, it can't do it, so tries and tries again and the phone never gets into standby. Make a wifi connection and it's fine for a few hours as it can update the location, but next time it tries if you're off the wifi it'll frantically try again.
This also explains why it doesn't have the problem if data roaming is left on, as it can carry on reporting location as usual (at your expense).
Also, because you configure it in the mail account settings, that explains why you get the message about data roaming being turned off every time you look at your messages.
Try removing the MobileMe account from your phone - you'll see the battery drain goes back to normal.
Apple should fix this bug - they just need to change the app so it checks whether data roaming is turned on or not before updating location. Maybe a message saying MobileMe needs data roaming turned on to work abroad, or maybe it could just check if it's enabled and if not, don't try to make the connection until the phone is no longer roaming. The problem is if your phone is stolen and goes abroad, without MobileMe doing what it's supposed to be doing your data is compromised and you won't have the cool remote erasing functionality etc.

IPhone battery stays at 100%
Hopefully someone already has a fix for this: after charging my 3GS (with the latest iOS installed), my battery stays at 100% for maybe 20 minutes after moderate use. The it will drain down, but it will shut down when the meter gets to 30%. On one occasion, phone signaled that I needed to restore (I did from back-up). I had hoped that by restoring, the battery issue would be fixed, but nothing happened.
Any suggestions?I kinda have the same issue with mine except that my iPhone will stay at the same battery percentage that I left it charging on and have to reboot it for it to display the correct percentage. Then I also have an issue where my iPhone randomly restarts and it does this every 5 minutes.

Lenovo 3000 N100 - Stays on just for a very short time
I have a Lenovo 3000 N100, Model Type 0689-29U
Will power up but only stay on for a short time (less than two minutes usually) before it shuts down without any errors. Does not stay on long enough to run hardware diagnostics.
Have replaced the following items so far:
1) Main System Board (motherboard)
2) Both Memory Modules
3) Power Adapter (power brick)
4) Hard Drive
5) Battery
Still the same results. I am not thinking that the CPU may be either bad and/or it is heating up. I am not sure how the fan on this unit is supposed to behave. In other words, I am not sure if it is supposed to be on all the time or not. When I first power the system up, the fan comes on just for a few seconds then goes off and never comes back on again. I assume that is because this unit's fan is supposed to come on only when needed although not sure.
If anyone has any ideas and/or any feedback on anything I have written above, I would greatly appreciate your input.
Thank you.remove the battery and plug the ac power, and check if issue persists.

W2K12-R deduplication optimization job stuck at 100% for days
Hello,
I've W2K12-R server (VM, 4 vCPU, 14 GB vRAM) with a 7 TB D: drive, deduplication is enabled for this drive. I use this drive for backing up virtual machines, at the moment 3,6 TB are used. Each night ~2 TB new data is backed up, only the C: drives of VMs,
so there is a very high dedup rate, these new 2 TB are usually deduplicated during daytimes.

Since a few weeks I've the problem that ThroughputOptimization jobs (all Optimization jobs) do not finish. The job is able to free space but it stays at 100% for days.
Although I've set the DurationHours to 6 or 9 hours, the scheduled job does not end and thus no new Optimization job starts. That leads to a completely filled D drive because the space that gets filled by backup jobs during the night is not freed during
the planned time frame.

I don't see further information about job 39D260C4-32D0-4511-8982-598DA53DB423 in event log. In resource monitor I see that fsdmhost has very little disk activity (600 Bytes/s), but a cpu load of 25% (which is one of the four vCPUs).
I stopped the backups this week and started a manual full Optimization job, which stays at 100% since more than one day now.
Any ideas what to check? Any patch I can apply?

Would 100% width on a Fluid Grid Layout be bad for any reason?
I was thinking of setting 100% width on my Fluid Grid Layout (for all media queries) so I wouldn't have to go outside the fluid container for my header and footer bar. Would this be bad for any reason? I feel like they probably preset sizes below 100% for a reason.
If you are talking about desktop version then NO provided you assign margins, paddings and borders to html tags rather than the Divs. This is because borders, margins and paddings are all part of the box model and so the overall width could possibly exceed 100%.
Hope this helps for you to search for box model and how it works on W3C website.
Good luck. -
Magsafe light goes green even though battery not charged then shuts down
So here is my scenario. My macbook was left on yesterday until it shut down on its own when the battery was depleted. When i plugged in the magsafe, the light was green and the computer showed the no battery X. After unplugging the adaptor and plugging it back in, it started charging and seemed to recognize the battery again.
Now, for no reason that I can figure out, the magsafe light goes green for no reason and the macbook just randomly shuts down. It seems to charge a little bit each time I've got it plugged in, but I left it off all night plugged in and came back to on about 45% charge.
I've seen apples page on defective batteries and my Macbook falls into this group. I bought it July of 2006. I downloaded the battery updater and here are my stats:
Battery Installed: Yes
First low level warning: No
Full Charge Capacity (mAh): 3356
Remaining Capacity (mAh): 1660
Amperage (mA): 1525
Voltage (mV): 12140
Cycle Count: 168
I haven't done the SMC reset at this point, but can try that if need be.
Anyone have any ideas? I live very close to an Apple store and can probably get in there on Monday if I can get an appointment with a genius.
Thanks for any help,
DanWell, after resetting the SMC and the PRAM, I'm getting no shut-offs but the battery still isn't charging properly. It has been plugged in all day and the on-screen indicator is only at about 75% charge. It also only seems to charge when it is not in sleep mode. The numbers on the battery capacity are certainly better since the updates, but for some reason it just won't charge.

hello my name is kirstie, i updated to firmware 4.2.1 .....my iphone 3g stays on the apple logo for about 4 minutes then flashes white and goes back to the apple screen, it repeats untill battery is flat, every now and then im lucky enough to get it to turn on but not very often and then it freezes and repeats the same problem?? (if i turn the phone off my pressing the two buttons it wont keep rebooting, its only when i leave it after turning it on)
I have reset the phone, full firmware restore, even downgraded back from firmware 4.2.1 to .3.1.3 official by using dfu mode and still doesnt fix.
(i correctly got out of dfu mode after the downgrade)
i can enter dfu mode and recovery, and update through itunes with no problem, but it doesnt fix the problem,
i have searched and found no answer to this problem, every option availible to try that i know of i have tried and failed. i dont care about preserving my content i just want a fix. i have a good understanding how to operate software on a computer and shouldnt be too confused by any advice given, so plz even if the answer is very complex i wish to try anything, please help me to get my iphone working.Anyone have any suggestions? or is everyone else just as clueless as me !

How to get MacBook battery back up to 100% for calibration
I want to calibrate my MacBook's battery, but the MacBook is already connected to the charger and only displays a 95% charge.
What should I do to bring it back up to 100% (the first step in calibrating)?
Should I just disconnect the MacBook from the charger and let the battery run down for a while, then reconnect it?
If not clear, although already connected to the charger (which is how I use the MacBook nearly all the time) the battery is not increasing its charge, but rather the charge has been slowly declining. So leaving the MacBook on the charger won't, as far as I know, get the charge back up to 100%. It seems I have to do something else to make that happen. I assume that means putting it on battery power for a while, then reconnecting it to 'force' it to charge back up to 100%, but I'm not sure.
Is there a way to get it up to 100% without using the battery?
Thanks. To initiate the charging cycle you need to get the percentage below 93% as stated in the article. It may not specifically mention disconnecting it to accomplish this, but I can think of no other way.
When I shut down yesterday, my MacBook was at 95%. When I powered on this morning, the battery level was up at 100%. Presumably while powered off the battery hit 93% and then went back up to full charge.
I had not disconnected from the charger, so I guess that's not required unless one for some reason specifically wants to force the battery level down to 93% before it gets there 'on its own.'
That the recharging to full capacity can occur with the charger connected seems to make sense since even while the MacBook is connected to the charger the battery is slowly losing charge, and will keep going down until it hits the level (i.e., 93%) that Apple has apparently determined to be the one to trigger recharging.
Thanks for your replies. -

It would appear that you are destined for the Adobe Photoshop Elements Forum since your question is related to Photoshop Elements and not Premiere Elements which is the focus program where you have posted.
But, while the arrangements are being made, here are a few things for you to think about if you have not already
1. Reset Tools - Select Brush Tool, then
2. Delete Settings File
Go to Full Editor/Edit Menu/Preferences/General and click on the option "Reset Preferences on Next Launch".
We will be watching for your progress.

My wireless mouse often loses connection. I replace batteries and it works for a few days before becoming problematic again. Battery currently shows 100% and connection is lost intermittently. Bluetooth is on and wireless keyboard works. Any suggestions?
Is it possible that you have a bad bunch of batteries?
My Magic Mouse on one computer and the Mighty Mouse on another use batteries I bought through the Apple store (with a charger). They last a long time.
http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC500LL/A/apple-battery-charger
Another possiblity is that the mouse is defective. Since the keyboard connects, it has to be the mouse or the batteries. -
Does it harm the battery if the macbook stays turned off for a few months?
I might be in a situation where I will not use my macbook for a few months. A family member may use it occasionally, but it would be turned off most of the time. Does this hurt the battery or other aspects of computer performance?
From the User Manual: "Storing your MacBook If you are going to store your MacBook for an extended period of time, keep it in a cool location (ideally, 71° F or 22° C) and discharge the battery to 50 percent. When storing your computer for longer than five months, discharge the battery to approximately 50 percent and then remove it from your MacBook. To maintain the capacity of the battery, recharge the battery to 50 percent every six months or so."
