Letter of Credit SPL Screening in GTS

Hi,
I want to perform SPL screening of banks on the letter of credit documents created in ECC.
What document type in ECC to corresponding doc type in GTS
How can I achieve that? Can anybody throw some light on this?
Thanks,

Please refer to the topic 'Integrating SPL Screening with Financial Accounting' in the customizing documents for details.

  • Automatic - SPL Screening in GTS

    Hello:
Is there any specific setting in GTS for automatic screening of vendors and customers against SPL list.
I mean whenever business partners are passed from ECC to GTS. The business partners are screened against SPL. how is this is being done? Is it this screening
    automatic implicitly
I know that for the documents (sales orders, etc) there is a setting "SPL check when document saved/updated". But, how about vendors and customers, how they will scanned initially & later. Can anybody explain on this
    Thanks,
    Regards
    Chakri

    Hi Chakri,
Seeing your note here reminded me that I owe you an email reply from a question you asked me in September.  Apologies for the delay - I just rolled off a project.  I'll reply to your email asap.
In the GTS IMG, go to
SAP Global Trade Services --> SAP Compliance Management --> “Sanctioned Party List Screening” Service --> Activate Business Partner at Business Partner Function Level.
This allows you to set the screening to 'synchronous' which means the screening happens automatically upon transfer to GTS for the master data.  If you still have questions, I suggest reading the documentation in the Performance Assistant.  If all else fails, set the config one way, then test it, then set it a different way and test it again to see for yourself how this functions.

  • SPL screen for FI payment docuemnt

    Hi,
SPL acreening for Financial accounting is working for limited transactions. Vendor payment document with check printing and F110 payment proposal is working fine.
But with customer paymenr receipts, Manual payment document creation through F-28 is not blocking though the customer is blocked in GTS system. Will SPL screening limited to few transaction codes in FI? Do we need to do some enhancements to activate SPL screening at F-28?
    Regards,
    Lakshmikanth

    Hi Frances,
I think you've mis-understood a little.  The values for mapping are already in your note.  Those values are hard-coded in the ERP system, and you simply have to map them to associated values in GTS.
Let's take Document Type.  If you want to use the standard GTS document type 'IMPORD' for your compliance checks on incoming payments, then you will need to create an entry to map ERP type FIIN to GTS type IMPORD.  But probably you will create your own GTS Document Type for FI postings - it's your choice.
Same idea for Item Category.  The ERP system always sends the FI data with 'FI0A', so you could map that to GTS Item Category 'IMORD1', or to the one that you create.
For Partners, you can map through whichever ones you want to check.  Here's the list of the partners that are sent from ERP:
    FIKRE = Vendor
    FIPAY = Payee
    FIDEB = Customer
    FIREG = Payer
    FIPAB = Bank
    FIACO = Account Holder
    FIOTP = One-time payment
I think those same Partner Functions exist in the standard GTS system, so your mapping is simple (e.g. FIKRE = FIKRE).
There is not much more that I can tell you, but if you continue to have problems, please come back.

  • Wrong hits in SPL screening

    Hi Friends,
we have configured our GTS system (Not so sure about the config)to check Country and name of any customer and compare with denial list before blocking a document for SPL check.
Unfortunately it is not happening as expected.
    My config looks like
Now the question is , Let me explain with below 2 examples
ABC Company/England had a shipment going to ABC Company/Australia going to a Dr. Chow. The screening resulted in a hit for a Dr. Chow located in China.
In another shipment, ABC Company/USA had a shipment to ABC Company/England to the attention Jose Escobar.  The screening resulted in a hit for a Jose Escobar located in Columbia.
In these 2 incidents the denied person is located in a different country but happen to have a common name for the actual shipment that is neither going to China or Columbia.
Now we wanted to avoid document block when the country is not same.
    Hope I have explained clearly.

    Hi Ram,
It shouldn't behave this way looking at the config. Can you please run transaction /SAPSLL/SPL_CHSS3 with the details entered manually for screening. Please share the screenshot of the result.
I think your SPL master was created with blank country. When the country is blank in SPL master, system assumes this party is denied universally.
You can't really judge SPL screening with document level check. As per setting for SPLUS, SPL screening will happen for documents only if there is a change in the partner address in the document. If not, system will just pick up the current status of the partner(blocked/released) and sets the status for the document.
So, please run the above transaction with the data that you gave as example and show me the result.

  • Unable to find partner function for SPL screening

    Hi Guys
We are trying out the SPL functionality for our Client, We are in the Preliminary stages and have just started the Intial Configuration
The problem comes is the Document in ECC is getting blocked and is working as per functionality
But when in come in the GTS system and check the Documents via (SPL > Display all Documents) in the overview menu, and go ahead and check the Log, it shows an error stating
"Unable to find partner function for SPL screening"
I have checked the configuration and The partner structure, Functions and Assignment are all done
Can the experts help in getting a small checklist which I should do a check through in the configuration/user side, which can trigger this error message?
    Thanks
    Regards
    Carl Ray

    Hi Carl,
Did you load the SPL List for Screening? Prior to SPL Screening, we have to create Index for SPL Screening. Please follow the following steps and then re-check the document
SAP GTS Area Menu (/SAPSLL/MENU_LEGAL) -> Sanctioned Party List Screening -> Master Data. Perform the below steps in sequence.
    Step 1: Reset Buffer
    Step 2: Generate Comparison Terms
    Step 3: Aggregate Comparison Terms
Step 4: Comparison terms for Business partners
After doing the above steps, then do the following step
SAP GTS Area Menu (/SAPSLL/MENU_LEGAL) -> Sanctioned Party List Screening -> Logistics -> Check against updated Sanctioned Party Lists -> Check Business partner addresses
After performing the above steps, then re-check the document.
Let me know if the above solution help or not

  • SPL Screening only for a special sales organization, not the whole company?

    Hi GTS Specialists,
How to set up SPL screening only for a certain customers.
Or let´s say someboday creates a customer without sales data table KNA1,
as I understand the address will be checked(without considering the sales org).
But that its wrong we want to do the check only for customer belonging
    the sales org X.
So the question is how to do SPL screens only for certain customers?
    Thx
    Rgds

I dont know if that will work, because the customer in GTS is based on the general data from KNA1. IF there is any and which sales organisation an entry in KNVV has nothing to do with the transfer to GTS. What kind are the customers in the sales organisations you dont want to SPL check? The only reason I can see to exclude partners from spl check is, if they are internal customers, inter or intra company transfers or such business.  The best would be to have different account groups for those you want and dont want to check. Next best solution is to put the customers you dont want to have checked on positive list in GTS. Another option would be to find a field in basic customer data which you are not using yet, give there different value for those you want and those you dont want to check and make the filtering in the transfer BADI or userexit by this value. • Letter of credit functionality for imports

    Hi Experts
W.r.t FT, the financial document can be used as LC.
    1) Is it possible to use this LC (Financial doc- Transaction VX11N) for linking the import purchase order?
    2) Is there any standard functionality to monitor the import purchase orders which involve Letter of credit?
    3) Is there any userexit to enhance the existing VX11N to make use for import purchase order?
    warm regards
    marias

    Hello Marias,
I regret to inform you that the functionality you request is not
implemented in the standard system within the Foriegn trade area.
" The documentary payment functionality (Letter of Credit) for vendors
is not available in SAP Standard System.
Documentary payments can only be created on the SD side for customer
      but not for vendors.
At this time, there is no plan to develop this functionality. "
Please note that the Foriegn Trade functionality has been expanded and
is available in the solution product "Global Trade Services" (GTS).
As you are probably already aware information on GTS is available in SAP
    Service Marketplace.

  • Letter of Credit functionality and Credit Management

    Hi,
we want to use Letter of Credit functionality for exports.
Currently, we have an ERP system that contains the sales data. In a separate system we have the credit management functionality (Financial Supply Chain Mgt - FSCM).
When order is created, the credit limit is checked in the FSCM system (via PI messages).
Now, we want to link some of the Sales orders with Letter of Credit. I believe, this is standard functionality in GTS.
So when Sales Order is created a LOC should be connected to this.
Can the GTS be connected also to FSCM credit management, so credit limit is not affected?
    Example:
Sales Order value: 1 Mio USD
10% down-payment  >   this would be in the credit exposure visible (net exposure).
90 % covered through LOC  > credit exposure should showing this, or it shows order value and in a negative figure this amount deducted so no effect on exposure.
Down-payment has no relation to LOC. When money is received for this the net exposure of the sales order is 0.
partial invoice: 0.4 Mio USD > it should be possible to link this invoice to the LOC. The posting FI document should have some LOC information, so when payment comes in the amount in LOC is reduced as well as in credit management this open.
Final invoice 0.5 USD: as above, all values go out from exposure if there are any.
A second case would be guarantees, where there is no reduction of values. This would stay same.
Anyone who can advise a solution here?
    Thanks + Regards
    Hein

Letter Of Credit can be used as a standard solution of SAP GTS with ERP solution. Yes you can connect both SAP & no SAP systems with GTS, but plugins, PI etc needs to be built in. But it would not be real time like RFC works. There are some standard available which needs to be hard coded to meet specific requirements.
Connecting LOC to Sales Order, invoice etc, is manual, based on business specific parameters and it comes standard with SAP GTS. Maintaining Values & Quantity of LOC based on actual LOC from bank is also possible. The depreciation of values & quantities is also standard with in LOC in GTS.
You can also setup various communication methods for LOC.
I think when Invoice is raised and payment is received the LOC should be closed in the system. There can also be other scenarios where in system determines LOC based on predefined logics for determination strategy put in to the GTS system.

  • How to calculate Bill Discount, Letter of Credit, Deposits & Cheque amount!

    Hi,
I have a requirement where in I have to develop a report to display bank balance chart with the following details in the output. They are :
    1. Posting Date
    2. Bill Discount (BD)
    3. Letter of Credit(LC)
    4. Cheque Amount may be cheque issued.
    5. Deposits.
Above are the information which i have to display based on Posting Date range , Company Code and Bank Key present in the selection-screen.
    Below are my few observations:
    1. To retrieve the Bill Discount, I am first fetching the data from BKPF table by checking the document types 'DZ' ,'KZ', Company code and Posting Date Range. Then using document number, company code present in these entries along with Posting key = 39 and special GL indicator = 'W' retrieving the data like DMBTR,WRBTR from BSEG.
    2. Similarly for Letter of Credit amount retrieving the data in the same way as mentioned above except special GL indicator will be 'Y'.
Now please correct me if my approach is wrong. Request you all to throw some light as I am Technical Consultant and humbly looking forward to all your help.
Also, request to let me know the logic or process how one can calculate fourth point as well as Fifth point as mentioned above.
I am just looking for flow of data/process flow/standard transactions through which I can see these above mentioned things which can help me in building the logic. At least a general approach to this will be appreciated highly.

  • Use of Letter of Credit in Sales cycle

    Hi Guru's
Can any one send me or explain me of the letter of credit work process in SAP or sales cycle?
Please Suggest any documentation on it
    thanx In advcnce.

    HI Prashant,
here is the overview or payment cards
       1. When you create a sales order, you can enter credit card data manually, or copy it from the payer master record. You can enter one card in the sales order overview screen. You are able to enter multiple cards, or multiple authorizations on one card, in the payment card plan in the sales order header. The system automatically authorizes the sales order when you save it.
At a later time, you create the delivery. The authorization may have expired in the meantime, so the system checks to ensure that it is still valid. If the authorization is no longer valid, the system tells you to reinitiate authorization in the sales order. You complete and save the delivery. When all the items are picked, packed, and goods issue is posted,
you create a billing document. Here, payment card data is copied from the sales order, or uploaded directly into the billing document from an external system, as in the case of point of sale. The system uses the authorizations in the payment card plan to calculate billing amounts. You process the billing document and release it to Financial Accounting.
    PAYMENT CARD MASTER DATA
To quickly and efficiently process sales orders with payment cards, you can store card data in the payer master record. When you create a sales order, you simply call up a list of cards for the customer using the matchcode on the payment card number field. The system automatically copies the card data into the sales order for the card or cards that you choose from this list.
The one-time customer record is a collective account, in the master record, for a group of unrelated customers. For this reason, you cannot maintain payment card data for one-time customers.
    Features
You can enter the following card information in the payer master record:
Card type, for example VISA, MC, or AMEX
    Card number
The system checks the card numbers you enter to ensure that they correspond to the numbering standards of the relevant payment card company (for example, checking to make sure that a Visa card number begins with "4").This reduces the risk of having to go through a lengthy authorization process in the sales order with an incorrect card number.
The system also checks to ensure that a payment card belongs to only one customer. You cannot enter one payment card in two different master records.
    Expiration date
Cardholder or company name as it appears on the card
Card category, such as credit card, customer card, or purchasing card
    Blocking reason
If required, you can block the payment card by entering a reason, for example 01 for "card stolen". You maintain blocking reasons in Customizing for payment cards in the Billing section of the IMG.
    Note
A block is for a particular payment card only. If one of the customer's payment cards is blocked, he or she may use another.
Also, a block does not effect sales documents that have already been created with the card. You can, however, run a standard search to determine all documents in which the card number is used.
    Card valid-from date
    Default card
You can assign a default card if there is more than one card for a customer. When you call up a list of cards for the customer in the sales order, this card is highlighted.
    Hope this will be helpful...
Request you to reward points if helpful.
    Thanks & regards

  • How to configure letter of credit in SAP

    hi all,
how to configure letter of credits (LOC) in sap.
    regards
    srinivas

    Hi,
Letter of Credit / Bank Guarantee are noted items in SAP.  There is no effect in the books of accounts for these items.  You have to create seperate Spl G/L Indicator for LOC and assign the same to normal reconciliation account of Vendors / Customers as per your requirement. For creating this go to 'OBXT' and the necessary configuration.  To create LOC in SAP Easy Access goto F-55 and process the transaction.

  • Letter Of  Credit - Determination strategy

    Hi Gurus
i am trying to Maintain Determination strategy from GTS area Menu-->Risk Management-->Letter of Credit Processing-->Maintain Determination strategy
I have create Legal regulation as Z1LOC and all other Configurations maintained
    now i am getting error
No numbering scheme could be determined for legal regulation Z1LOC"
i dont see any Number range schema for LOC
Could you please let me know which setting i am missing
    thanks
    sarvan

    Hi Sarvan,
For some reason, the system is trying to find a Numbering Scheme for Legal Control.  The best workaround will be to make an entry in the control table without necessarily making any assignments,
    In IMGpath (GTS 10.0):
    Global Trade Services >
    General Settings >
    Numbering Schemes >
Assign Numbering Schemes to Legal Regulations of the Application Areas
Choose level: Assign Scheme for Numbers in Legal Control, and add an entry for your Legal Regulation Z1LOC.  Hopefully that should sort it out.

  • How is the letter of credit captured today on Oracle, presumably OE?

    Hi All,
This is published on shipment::released per shipset.
I would like to know if the data entry AND the database field for this are :
    - data entry is custom or vanilla ?
    - database field is custom or vanilla ?
In both cases, if vanilla, then:
    - is this actually entered or held in a 'letter of credit'
field or is some other field being used
    - is this entered in a specific field on screen or a Note ?
    - is this held per customer or per order or per shipset ?
    Thank you,
    SM

    Dear Jay,
We are also using letter of credit sale in our company but the LC payment is normal from accounting side when ever Accounts receive LC payment from the customer they will post it against customer account (Customer Code) and write the Text this payment against so and so LC and Commercial Invoice Number if you run FBL5N Report you can see this text.
There are some reports to check the LC sales scenario: VXA1, VXA2 & VXA3
