LG Fusic phone - won't transfer via bluetooth

I have an LG Fusic phone and can set it up as a bluetooth device. I can see the files on the phone using bluetooth file exchange. The problem is that I can only seem to transfer a few files before it stops working. Furthermore, I can only do it one file at a time. Why can't I do a multiple file exchange and why does it quit? Can anyone help?
PS I posted in Bluetooth discussion but no reply.

Well, normally for the iPhone to forget a particular bluetooth device, you need to be out of range of the device, or the device not on and then go to Settings>General>Bluetooth and turn it on in the phone. It should provide you a list of devices that it has paired to. Select the vehicle, and it should give you the option to forget the device. Do this and it should no longer try and pair to the car when you are in range.
There may be something in the vehicle that you can so something similar to so the car can forget the phone as well. I did something similar to this when I test drove a new Hyundai. I wanted to see how the syncing went for the Bluetooth in the car with my iPhone and what features were available. I paired the phone and car, synced my address book and tested it extensively. I then turned the car off, told the phone to forget the car and then turned the bluetooth off in the phone. Turned the car on again and told it to forget the phone and it deleted all of my phonebook as if it was never there.

  • Does iPhone SDK support the feature of data transfer via Bluetooth or USB?

    Hi,
I'm developing a application in which I want a feature for data transfer either using Bluetooth or USB.
Does iPhone SDK support this feature of data transfer via Bluetooth or USB?
    Please help me.

The SDk doesn't deal with BlueTooth or USB. Your only option is wireless data. (WiFi, 3G, etc)

  • I'm trying to download photos off my old LG phone into iPhoto but it won't connect via Bluetooth

I'm trying to download photos off my old LG EV3 via Bluetooth into iPhoto.  It shows that the device is paired to my MacBook, however,  when I try to connect the phone it shows that it's connected for only a few seconds but then quickly disconnects and the phone says "No Services Found."  I also tried to change the connection for this phone (it's currently set-up as a Dial-Up modem connection via Verizon but the phone is no longer connected to Verizon) but it apparently will not let me do that.  Any ideas?

COntact LG support for support on their phone - this does not involve iPhoto for the Mac in any way

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
Since bluetooth file sharing with a phone is a form of networking, I think it better if you ask the question here since your profile also says you are running Tiger (10.4.10):

  • Macbook Air (Mid-2013) and iPhone 5s IOS version 8.1 won't connect via bluetooth, anyone know how to fix this problem?

I have a Macbook Air running OS-X Yosemite and an iPhone 5s running IOS version 8.1. Every time I try to connect the devices via bluetooth is won't connect saying my Macbook Air isn't supported when in actuality it is. Anyone know how to fix this issue? I have restarted both my Mac/Iphone and have turned bluetooth on/off and nothing seems to help. Bluetooth pairing didn't work before I updated to IOS 8.1 so I doubt that is the issue here.

Pairing an iPhone to a computer (Mac or Windows) is only supported for personal hotspot (sharing the iPhone's cellular internet connection) and then only if your cellular plan supports it. More information: Bluetooth: Why can't I pair my iPhone or iPad with my computer?

  • Connecting up a mobile phone to a computer (via bluetooth?)

    Hi,
I'm looking for the best way to connect up a mobile phone to a nearby computer (wirelessly) so that they are able to communicate with each other.
Would bluetooth be the best way?
Would it be as simple as buying a bluetooth dongle for the computer, and writing a java application on the computer which accepts connections, and then writing a j2me application for the phone which connects to the computer? How would you find out what address the mobile phone needed to connect to?
Also, is there a better way of doing this without the need for a j2me application on the phone, such as a phones built in web browser? If I did this how would the computer be able to send information over to the phone telling it what to display? Would it be a case of creating an index.html on the computer and the phone would be able to display that?
    Thanks for the help

{color:#000080}Bluetooth looks good for your purpose. At the phone end, you would need a MIDlet to access an inbuilt bluetooth serial port using the btspp: protocol. At the PC end, your software will connect to the serial port corresponding to your bluetooth dongle. The two can communicate using a client-server relationship.
That is, of course, the bare-bones outline of quite a lot of stuff. Device pairing has to be done manually, since there is no method to do this in j2me. On many handsets, BT has to be launched before running a MIDlet that requires its services. All bluetooth dongles are not created equal, neither are all bluetooth managers. So you will have to deal with a number of specifics as you progress. I am not sure on this, but I think there are a few phone models that do have bluetooth but no serial port profile, so that's another point to check out.
AFAIK, the browser on a mobile phone cannot open local files nor access content via bluetooth -- html pages can only be viewed via the internet.
    You will need to use the javax.bluetooth and, possibly, javax.obex packages.{color}

  • Iphone5 contacts won't transfer through Bluetooth BMW...

I have a 2013 BMW.  My iphone 5 will pair just fine, but the contacts will not transfer.  I spent about 2 hours at the dealer where they tested their tech's iphone 5's -- all transferred no problem.  Took the phone to Apple, got a new phone.  That one worked for about 3 weeks and now it won't transfer.  AM SO FRUSTRATED.  I've re-set my phone, unpaired and repaired my phone...I've done everything possible.  Can't figure out what the problem is.  Any one else having this issue?

    Thanks Wheeler
I've got a BMW 318 2009 (September) and iPhone 5 on Vodafone UK.
I actually suspect now that the issue is to do with the number of contacts I have, mostly generated from the Microsoft Exchange Suggested Contacts list which I've noticed results in me having over 1200 contacts in total.
I'm doing a test later in the car as I've now disabled the extra suggested contacts so they're not syncing onto my phone. Hopefully my guess is correct - I've now only got 850 contacts so I think there's more chance it will cope and sync them all to the BMW.
I'll let you know how I get on though!

Did you try the Android App called: "Bluetooth File Transfer
This allows you to send the files via Bluetooth directly to another smartphone or tabled without transferring this files to PC firstly.

  • Isync not opening and won't sync via bluetooth

    Hey guys,
I have an older SE W810i cell phone and I'm trying to use isync via bluetooth to sync. Everything was syncing perfectly up until MobileMe was released. Now I cannot sync at all. However, I can browse the device via Bluetooth.
When I click on isync in my dock, isync bounces 1 time and does not open.
Is this something to do with mobile me or does it sound like an issue with isync?
    Thanks for any advice!

It's nothing to do with MobileMe and is more likely related to a recent Mac OS X Update.
Move the iSync application to the desktop, then move it back into the Applications folder. Then see if it will load.

  • Desktop 6.0 won't connect via Bluetooth to 8330

I have already read the posts on this issue.  I have a supported Bluetooth device (ioGear). I am using Windows XP SP3, I have an 8330 Curve. I have tried the software that comes with the device, deleted it and tried the Windows Bluetooth stack, I have tried disabling the firewall (set an exception).  I keep having the same problem.  My computer sees my device, and my device sees the computer. When I am in DM, and try to connect I will get a brief screen on my BB that says connected to computer then it goes away and I get a message in DM that says the connection can't be made.  No matter what I do, I can not connect in DM.  If I delete everything and start all over, I get just as far, but once I get the message in DM that it can not connect it NEVER connects even though the computer and device are paired.  Any thoughts?
    Thank you,

Also, check that you are using only root USB ports...no hubs (sometimes the front-side ports are hubs...use a rear USB port). And make sure to try disabling USB power management in your system configuration (Device Manager).
Also check on conflicting software...it has been reported that the software package NTI Shadow&Ninja can cause a conflict; removing them and reinstalling the BB desktop software allows it to install correctly.
Apologies in advance if this is redundant -- there's no way to be sure if you've already seen and tried these. Also apologies if any are not presently available...RIM takes them up and down at will as they revise things.
