If a shortcut is used while Firefox is already open the error does not occur.

    Hi Ciaran19,
Are you sending files from the Adobe Send interface, Adobe Reader, or the Outlook plug-in?
Have you checked to see whether the files that you're sending appear in the Recent Files/Sent Files list when you're logged on to https://cloud.acrobat.com? (It could be that they're uploading, but not being sent.)
It would also be worthwhile to send the files in smaller batches, to see whether a particular file or files is problematic, and causing the error.
Please let us know how it goes. If you're still having trouble, please let us know where you're sending from, and whether you're able to send the files in smaller batches. It would also be helpful to know the exact error message that you're receiving.
    Best,
    Sara

  • Error: "There is a problem With Adobe Acrobat/Reader..." What is .MST file??

I get the following error message and I looked it up in the knowledge base, and there was a solution for fixing the error message. However, I have no idea what they are talking about. I have downloaded the Customization Wizard, but I have no clue what the following means:
    A) Create a new transform
    B) Open your previously created .mst file
I went into the C Drive and opened Program Files. I found the Adobe folder, but I couldn't find an .mst file anywhere. Am I completely lost??? Below is the knowledge base solution:
Error: "There is a problem With Adobe Acrobat/Reader..." when you view a PDF in a browser (Acrobat and Adobe Reader 8 on Windows)
    Issue
When you try to view a PDF in Internet Explorer, you see the error message, "There is a problem With Adobe Acrobat/Reader. Please exit Adobe Acrobat/Reader and try again." When you click OK to the error, the PDF opens outside of the browser.
    Reason
When you use the Adobe Customization Wizard to create a transform for Adobe Acrobat 8 or Adobe Reader 8, and you choose the option to "Make Acrobat the default viewer if both Acrobat and Reader are installed", or "Make Reader the default viewer if both Acrobat and Reader are installed", an error occurs if the computer does not have Acrobat or Reader already installed.
    Solution
Create a new transform and re-deploy Acrobat or Adobe Reader.
Start the Adobe Customization Wizard 8.
Open your previously created .mst file.
Under Installation Options, select "Installer will decide which product will be the default".
    Save the transform.
    Re-deploy Acrobat or Adobe Reader.
    Additional Information
When you create a transform in Adobe Customization Wizard 8, the installation options allow you to set the default viewer for PDF files. "Installer will decide which product will be the default" is the default setting and should be used when you are uncertain if the target machine has a version of Acrobat or Adobe Reader that won't be removed as part of the installation process. When installed silently using this option, Acrobat will always be configured as the default viewer.

I think you are headed down the wrong path. The Customization Wizard is what you use to push out Reader to several hundred computers. An MST is a package or transform file that is used to accomplish this task. Unless you are an IT person and are trying a deployment of Reader this solution does not fit your situation.

See the steps below for error codes 3000-3999.
Errors 3000-3999 (3004, 3013, 3014, 3018, 3164, 3194, and so on): Error codes in the 3000 range generally mean that iTunes cannot contact the update server (gs.apple.com) on ports 80 or 443.
Update to the latest version of iTunes.
Verify the computer's date and time are accurate.
Check that your security or firewall software is not interfering with ports 80 or 443, or with the server gs.apple.com.
Follow Troubleshooting security software. Often, uninstalling third-party security software will resolve these errors.
An entry in your hosts file may be redirecting requests to gs.apple.com (see "Unable to contact the iOS software update server gs.apple.com" above).
Internet proxy settings can cause this issue. If you are using a proxy, try without using one.
Test restoring while connected to a known-good network.

  • Error establishing socket. Address already in use

Running CFMX 6.1 on Win2k3, I just recently started getting
these errors from connections to one of our SQLServer database
    servers (2000, enterprise):
    quote:
    Error Executing Database Query.[Macromedia][SQLServer JDBC
Driver]Error establishing socket. Address already in use: connect
Any ideas what might cause this?

ok. well, if you think that was useless, you might as well
not read on... this isnt a coldfusion error. it only appears that
way because you are using cfml. this is a most probably an SQL
issue. i say most probably, because there are many reasons this
could be happening. try doing things in these steps as they are in
    degrees of harshness.
    1. check the server event log, see if you have an entry like
    this
'You are running a version of Microsoft SQL Server 2000 or
Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Desktop Engine (also called MSDE) that
has known security vulnerabilities when used in conjunction with
the Microsoft Windows Server 2003 family. To reduce your computer's
vulnerability to certain virus attacks, the TCP/IP and UDP network
ports of Microsoft SQL Server 2000, MSDE, or both have been
disabled. To enable these ports, you must install a patch, or the
most recent service pack for Microsoft SQL Server 2000 or MSDE from

    install sp4

    2. change your database server name to its IP (if that doesnt
work, you might as well change it back)
    3. make sure you are authenticating with an SQL account.
windows integrated authentication does not work well ... in your
SQL enterprise manager, set it to mixed authentication in the
security tab, select SQL server and windows authentication. the
microsoft driver seems to not handle the windows authentication
properly. i wouldnt use the the SA account, create another one just
    for this purpose.
    4. under the general tab in your enterprise manager click
network configuration. enable TCP/IP which is not enabled by
    default
    5. Install SQL Server 2000 sp3 or sp4

  • Does Pacman Have A Command To Check For Left Over Dependencies?

Does pacman have a command to check for left over dependencies?
I know that when you remove something it's checking for dependencies and I've seen it show these before, but I swear I removed something that had dependencies and it don't show any and just removed only the single program.
So basically I wanted to know if there are any pacman cmds like this to check the system with and clean it up?
    THANKS
P.S. I didn't notice anything like this in the Wiki, only for cleaning out the cache....

I saw no evidence of that: you might have mentioned it in your post...

No you didn't reply which you could of simply done, or asked if I read the Wiki which would of been the proper thing, not telling me to RTFM!
I'm like this at times because I've seen it all to often....
Next time before telling someone, ask them, in case they forget to mention it to you...
    Anyhow let's move on....
P.S. So I can remove those packages without a problem?

  • Does pacman throw an alert if disk becomes full?

Hi, I have an asus eeepc with only 20GB, and I had had installed arch in a 4GB partition 3 months ago. When I was working with pacman installing something, the partition became full in the middle of the installation, outputting over the screen several errors; nevertheless, pacman continued its work process. This caused a huge inconsistency in the package manager and in the file system, making me formatting the eeepc and installing ubuntu, all this because pacman did not check previously if there was enough space on disc.
I would want to know if this problem was solved (pacman now checks if disk is full) and can install arch again safely.
    Greetings

Yeah, the problem is that it is reported as a warning, and not as an error. Pacman didn't stop on warnings because, we thought warnings could be ignored. Maybe not after all. The following commit changes this, but it has not been merged yet :

  • Noisy line - "this issue is already known to us"

    hello
I've been having a noisy phone line problem. I've tried the check facility a few times, but nothing has shown up and I'm nervous about being charged £100 I don't have to call out an engineer. Tonight, I tried to use my phone again, the line sounded as if it's blowing a gale and when I try the online phone checker I get a message telling me that:
"this issue is already known to us"
I therefore don't seem to be able to report an issue and I have no idea what you are doing about it. Can someone help me please?
    Thank you.
    Anthony

Hi and welcome to the forum.
How long has this being going on?
Have you tried all the checks with phones in sockets etc etc? [Using corded handset].
Long shot: make a cuppa, and ring BT and ask them to physically check the line.
I had a noisy/crackly line, which was sorted once an engineer visited the exchange. Right as ninepence now.

  • "This issue is already known to us"

I've been having problems with our broadband line for the past couple of weeks, we've had constant disconnects and massive slow down with us losing half our downspeed at times. Im trying to help my father as much as I can as he is the account holder and Im living with my parents.
Recently we've been getting issuses with the phone as well, my father is now unable to call home from work as we just get crackling and static on the line. We managed to do a line test and the result was the message:
"This issue is already known to us"
There was no other infomation besides that. Will BT actually do something about the issue on their own accord as they are seemingly aware of it or would it be better to send out some emails and phone calls to get something done?
    Thanks

The user upgraded from Outlook 2010 a few months ago and the error message has only recently started appearing on startup. I thought it was a corrupt mail profile, so I have already tried creating a new mail profile, as well as the repairing tool in Outlook.
I even tested another email account and that worked just fine. So apparently it is something wrong with the specific user's account/profile and not something wrong with the computer - since my email account worked fine on his computer.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had the same error message, only in my situation Outlook would only open successfully every 4 or 5 attempts. When Outlook would open (versus just hanging at the splash screen), I would get two dialog boxes with the warning/error message.
After I clicked okay I could get into Outlook.
Previously I experienced this problem running my Office 2010 client with my Exchange 2007 mailbox on my old laptop.  The problem followed my mailbox through an Exchange 2010 migration (so new Exchange org), client upgrade to Outlook 2013, and a new
laptop (so I knew it wasn't a corrupt profile).  This led me to the conclusion that it was a corrupt item(s) in my mailbox.
To resolve the issue, I archived *everything* in my mailbox to a PST file, ran SCANPST to fix the corruption, and then uploaded everything back into my Exchange mailbox one folder at a time, stopping after each folder to close and restart Outlook so I could
narrow down which folder had the corrupt item if the problem recurred.  I'm happy to say my issue is now resolved.
