License Manager for Enterprise Networks

Is there a still a License Manager available for enterprise customers to run on their own networks?
All links I've found on the Adobe site so far are 7 years out of date, keep making more sales pitches, or take me to a web-based serivce. We already bought our licenses and web-based access is not an option because we conduct much of our business on isolated networks with no access to the internet.
We have nearly 500 users with a mix of Reader and other products licensed for individal users. Our network and software administrators are constantly installing and uninstalling products one at a time to keep up with all personnel and job changes. Anything that makes it easier for us to add and reassign product licenses would be a big help.

I don't think moving this to the Creative Suite forum will be helpful because Creative Suite is not the sole or primary project we need to manage.
Most of the product licenses we need to manage are for a mix of Acrobat Professional, Acrobat Standard, and Adobe Reader. We only have about a dozen Creative Suite users. A license manager for all these products would be ideal. A license manager for Acrobat and Reader is what we really need most.

  • License requirements for enterprise integration

I am trying to understand how CRM licensing affects the ability to integrate data across enterprise systems.
I have read the "PremiseLicensingGuide" document, which states:
"A Microsoft Dynamics CRM User is defined as any user who accesses the Microsoft Dynamics CRM server, files, data content or “Microsoft Dynamics CRM functionality”. “Microsoft Dynamics CRM functionality”
is any service or feature of Microsoft Dynamics CRM that allows a user to view, manipulate, input, query, or otherwise structure “live data”. “Live data” is information that, via user action, dynamically writes to or reads from (or synchronizes with) Microsoft
Dynamics CRM 2013 On-Premises Volume Licensing Guide | September 2013 Page 6 Microsoft Dynamics CRM, whether it is accessed directly or indirectly. Microsoft Dynamics CRM Users are required to have
the appropriate client accesses licenses, regardless of their direct or indirect connection to the product."
    And further:
"Multiplexing is the use of hardware or software (including manual procedures) to reduce the number of devices or individuals that access or use the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 solution functionality by
pooling connections. Multiplexing does not reduce the number of licenses required to access the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 solution functionality. Any internal user who accesses the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 solution functionality —whether directly or indirectly—must
    be properly licensed"
So what does that mean in a case where CRM is an integration target for data which also resides in other systems? Say, for example, we have a situation where some of the information in the ERP system which relates to customers also needs to exist in the CRM
system, and the data is authored in the ERP. In such a case one would set up some form of enterprise integration (eg, an SSIS job or biztalk process) to move data through the systems. But would this require that every ERP user who can update customer information
in the ERP must also be licensed in Dynamics CRM?

    Hi Allmhuran,
Did you ever get an answer to this question?

  • Enterprise License Manager Sync Problem

    Hi.
I have CUCM 9.1 & Enterprise License Manager. I have installed licenses on Enterprise License Manager and in inventory added CUCM.
Everyting worked fine for 20 days, but from yesterday CUCM  is showing below error:-
"The system has not synchronized successfully with Enterprise License Manager for 7 days. If successful synchronization does not occur within the next 53 days, you will no longer be able to provision users and devices."
In Enterprise license manager CUCM status is "Registration Conflict". It also show :-"This product instance is already being managed by another Enterprise License Manager. Product Instances can only be managed by a single Enterprise License Manager. To manage the product instance with this Enterprise License Manager, delete it from this and the other Enterprise License Manager, and then add it to this one."
Also below message is displayed in Enterprise License Manager:-
"Enterprise License Manager is operating in demo mode. Install licenses to cover the licensing requirements of your product instances in order to avoid losing functionality in those products."
Please help to solve this problem.
    Regards,
    Andy

    Hi Neo,
I have never tried but recommended would be to go for maintenance window.
Further, the message posted says The system has not synchronized successfully with Enterprise License Manager for 7 days. If successful synchronization does not occur within the next 53 days, you will no longer be able to provision users and devices.
This means it can be done but why to take a chance.

  • What could change the Computer ID used for the licenses in NI License Manager?

at our customer site we originally set up our software which uses the Vision Run-Time and Vision Acquisition Software.    We purchased a license for the PC and it was installed. It has been running since July.   but today the customer started getting errors asking for the license. using NI license manager we see "Status: Activated for a different computer"
looking further we now see a different "Computer ID" code   I have original screen shots of when I originally applied the license so I know the Computer ID was not a typo.
The customer says no one has swapped out the PC's,  but is currently looking to see if any other work was done.
    Has anyone expirenced this before?

If not, is your customer using any VPN software?
VPN software creates virtual MAC address, and somehow NI License Manager will use that for computer ID.
A known case is that VPN software by Juniper Networks will randomly create a virtual MAC address
every time the computer reboots. This will screw up NI License Manager because the computer ID will be different every time
    computer reboots.
A workaround is to ask NI for an activation code based on computer ID that is generated from your hard drive.
With this, unless you change your harddriver or format it, it will keep the same computer ID.
That is exactly what my problem was.  I ended up getting a computer ID based on the harddrive.  The thing is that when performing the "automated" activation, it uses the computer ID from the MAC address.  So I have to activate over email, change the file so that it uses my harddrive based computer ID, send it, apply the received codes.  It is kind of a pain, but not that bad.

  • Enterprise License Manager login issue...

    Hey guys,
Trying to log into Enterprise Licensing Manager (on a Be6K v9) and am getting the error Invalid Username or Password. Please try again.
I am using the admin login that I use to log into Cisco Unified CM Administration.
Would I log into the CUCM console in vSphere to reset the password?  If so what commands would I use.
I haven't found much on resetting the login password for ELM

    Hi,
You'll need to use the OS Admin credentials, not the application user:

If you're entitled for PDI, you can open a case with us, and we might be able to get the info from the BU.
If not, your SE/AM would be the next point of contact to get this info, and get it somewhere in the documentation.

  • NI License manager does not start; says it's querying for current license status

I currently have the evaluation version of Labview. I tried to use a volume license from my university by typing in the server name in NI License Manager, but after that, whenever I try to open the license manager, it looks like it's stuck saying "querying for the current license status" and never actually opens. Also, when I try to open Labview, it freezes during the setup finalization. I realized afterward that students don't have access to the university license for their own PC's, so I can't use that volume license anyway.
I uninstalled everything having to do with NI on my PC and reinstalled the evaluation version of Labview, but the same problem still exists. Is there anything I could do besides erasing my hard drive?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi amize,
When you say the same problem still exists, is it both the NI License Manager and LabVIEW that are still having the issues? When you open the License Manager and it is not actually opening does that mean you cannot interact with it or the licenses never finish loading in the tree view on the left hand side. If you do have access to the Options menu, open preferences and make sure you have deselected "Use Volume License Servers". At some point, if the windows is not interactive, it should timeout with attempting to make its server connection, especially if you are disconnected from any network connection.
Also, how long do you wait when you open LabVIEW and see the setup screen? Does it just become unresponsive?
If you could follow up with that information it would be much appreciated

  • Providing DRC solution for ATMs in the enterprise network

    Hi all,
I am looking for ideas on how to provide a Disaster Recovery solution for thousands of ATMs (Automated Teller Machine) deployed in the bank enterprise network. The solution should consider
    the following facts:-
1.- Having the ATMs switch the connection to the Server at DRC shouldn't be automatic. This situation might last for the next few years until DRC becomes mirror image of primary data center.
2.- The ATM servers at the primary and disaster recovery center is single server equipped with high availability (Tandem). I mean to say, there is no SLBs invloved in the connection
3.- The application running on the ATMs is calling the ATM Server by hardcoded IP address in the application. The bank is willing to visit the ATMs to change once and forever.
I see source natting as the most appropriate solution, however your opanion and expertise are appreciated.
    Thanks
    Sami

    Sami,
what kind of solution are you looking for ?
Is the concern the connection from ATM to central location ?
Or is it a concern about the server at the central location ?
For connection issues, I don't see any other solution than providing multiple lines.
If the concern is the single server, you could have a loadbalancer somewhere in your network.
The loadbalancer can use probes to check the health of the server.
If the primary fails, or is unreachable, you can automatically redirect the traffic to the standby.
ATM machines will point to the virtual ip (you could reuse the current ip and assign a new one to the servers).
Not sure where to place the loadbalancer without a better idea of the problem to solve and the network.
    Gilles.
