  • "License stopped working" Error Code 150:30 -- PS CS4 on OS X Yosemite

Have both PS CS4 and CD6 on Mac OS X 7.5. Just upgraded to Yosemite. Now PS4 "license stopped working". Only have PS4 upgrade disks because I originally bought PS ages ago and only bought upgrades since. Need to work at least long enough for me to get my custom brushes/patterns, but I would like it to work regularly to use Mustek TWAIN (32 bit)@scanner.

Simply reinstall. Using the downloaded versions might get you by any disk issues.

  • Licensing stopped working error- 150:30

Had to replace the hard drive on my iMac. I use Time Capsule and when the new hard drive was installed had Time Capsule bring all my applications and files back. It seems to be working with all other files and apps.
But when I tried to use Photoshop CS 4 I received error message suggesting I restart the MAC which I did. Then got the same error message when I tried to open Photoshop. It said if restarting doesn't work go to Adobe.
As stated above the error message number is 150:30

Forget it. Reinstall the apps properly. Downloads can be found using this method:

And you will have to run the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool before reinstalling.

  • CS3 "Licensing stopped working"

I'm getting the "Licensing stopped working" error whenever I try to open any of my CS3 applications. I looked at the troubleshooting steps here: Error "Licensing has stopped working" | Windows. I downloaded, extracted, and used the fix, but it didn't work. I tried looking for the FLEXnet service to manually activate it, only to find my computer devoid of said service. I'm assuming this is the problem, but I'm unsure as to how to fix it. I'm going to try redownloading the fix, to see if that will help. I await a response, thanks.

    I would suggest Section 8.
    Go with the complete uninstall/reinstall.
It's a pain, but nuke and pave works best. Follow the steps and have your serial number and discs at the ready.

  • I re-installed my Mac OS, but now Elements won't open. Licensing stopped working. Error code 150:30

I re-installed my Mac OS, but now Elements won't open. Licensing stopped working. Error code 150:30.
This is Photoshop Elements 8, and I have the original disc with serial number so I can re-install that.
The probelm is I'd need to de-cactivate the serial number before un-installing, and I need to open the programme to do that.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

Okay, I've found that this is a recognised problem.

and all the solutions tell me to find the folder FlexNet Publisher in my library.
Problem is FlexNet Publisher doesn't seem to exist there. Can't find it anywhere on my hard drive.
Gettting down to the end of that page gives me the following info....
The FlexNet folders and files required to run Adobe applications can become corrupted or have permission problems if moved from one machine to another. They can also be damaged through a Time Machine system restore. FlexNet service licensing failures cannot be resolved by reinstalling the application or by using the Adobe CS5 Cleaner Tool. If permissions issues prevent the FlexNet licensing service from launching, accessing data, or communicating with Adobe processes, a licensing failure occurs.
Well it looks like backing everything up using Time Machine may have caused all this problem. Anyone know how to get Flexnet Publisher back?

  • Fresh Install Mac - Licensing for this product has stopped working  Error: 6

We just got the new macbook pro refreshes at work and decided to make the switch to standalone CFBuilder.   We downloaded the trial and installed.  On launch we get this error, "Licensing for this product has stopped working  Error: 6".  Every macbook had the same result.   All are running 2 Ghz Quad Core i7 with 8GB of ram.   All of them get the same error.    All have a fresh install of 10.6.6.   Other than installing Air before the CFBuilder install they have no other applications installed.   Other than Air, there are no other Adobe products installed.  All CFBuilders were installed under an admin account.
We've tried all the troubleshooting.   Permissions, LicenseRecovery, Setting the clock back to 2010... we even tried reinstalling OSX, then installing acrobat, then air, then CFBuilder with the same result every time.   We even activated the root account on the system and installed under root.  Same result every time.    The Flexnet service never gets created unless we use the License recovery tool.   If we install the updater it still makes no difference.
All options for CFBuilder are grayed out under help.   Registration, Deactivation, Updates...
    Any suggestions?

Thanks for posting and letting me know. Yes, it is crappy to have to work-around it like that. I noticed when I installed
Builder that it over-wrote some newer files, but I said "Okay to All". I'm using CS4 not CS5 and my newer files were probably better. I'm glad you got your program working at least. My problem is I started my first Project at the wwwroot level, like all the instructions say. It wasn't until I saw Ben Forta's video of it that I realized I was supposed to start a new folder within the wwwroot folder as my Project folder. Now I can't get rid of my first Project folder without DELETING all of the files in wwwroot, WHICH I CANNOT DO. MANY OF THE FOLDERS THERE ARE WORKING WEB SITES! If you know of any way to detach that original Project, I'd sure like to know how to do it.
    Thanks,
    Tedra

  • How to fix "Licensing for this product has stopped working - Error 150:30"?

I cannot pen PSE or Bridge. It get the message "Licensing for this product has stopped working - Error 150:30".

  • License stopped working. Error 150:30.

Re-install of Mountain Lion from Time Machine (BIG mistake) left me with PhotoShop and InDesign CS4 unusable. "License stopped working and Error 150:30" were the messages.
Went online, tried what worked for some people, i.e. deleting Flexnet from ~Library/Application Support and then putting Flexnet file in ~Library/Preferences. Still could not open PS & ID. Interesting that Bridge never had a problem and works fine.
I am out of USA and don't have my install disks but I do have serial number for CS4. Chat was ridiculous. Adobe is certainly wasting money on that outsourced non-help function which took 30 minutes of my time for nothing.
Is there any help for me besides waiting til I get back to USA to get my install disks?
I feel very angry at Adobe for having so little help for me. I've been using PhotoShop since the 80's on PCs and Macs. I wish there were some other program out there so I wouldn't have to deal with Adobe-Snobby who "got above their raisin's."
Oh, and by the way, just in case anyone from Adobe pays any attention to this, when you click "Close" from the Chat window like the intructions tell you, there is NO WAY to complain about "how Adobe is doing."

I fixed the problem myself by using some comments from the Creative Suites CS3 forum: however, with CS4, there is no Trusted Storage File, as it is named below. It is called Storage. And you have to delete the 2 .data files Preferences creates when you reboot.
Also the FLEXnet Publisher file should be in ~Library/Preferences NOT in ~Library/Application Support where I found mine.
Basically PS4 and ID4 would not work until after removing the Service file from FLEXnet Publisher then re-booting and repairing Disk Permissions. After deleting the 2 data files, I replaced the Service file in the FLEXnet folder and both PS4 and ID4 opened easily. Whew. It's been a long couple of days trying to figure this one out! The instructions below helped me figure it out.
Go to: Main HD > Library > Preferences > FLEXnet Publisher > FLEXnet folder (Mac OS) remove the Trusted Storage File (TSF) from the FLEXnet folder and drop it on your desktop.
Restart your Mac > run disk permissions repair (Applications > Utilities > Disk Repair) then launch InDesign - enter serial number - InDesign should now work (fingers crossed)
If all goes well trash the TSF - you won't need it anymore as a new one should have been created.

  • Photoshop Elements 6 Mac Trial - License stopped working

    Hi,
I have just downloaded the PSE6 Mac trial and when I installed it, everything worked perfectly. But when I try to open it it says the license  for this product ahs stopped working, and that I should try reinstalling it. I have tried reinstalling it, deleting all the files and trying again but it doesn't seem to work...
    Any ideas please ?

Can you share the exact error message which you are getting on launch?
I believe the last step where you are is getting this error on launch.
Try following the steps as mentioned below from this step:
    1. Uninstall PSE 6 Mac from the \Applications\utilities\Adobe Installer\%PSE 6 installer%
    2. Run the CS3 clean up script as suggested by Barbara in the link above.
    3. Create a new Admin user and login in the machine using that user.
    4. Install PSE 6 Mac again.
    5. Launch the application.
If it launches fine, we are good. If it gives the "Licensing has Stopped working" error then try this:

Let us know if it works for you,

  • PSE 8  Error 150:30 Licensing stopped working

    Hi
Just another case of pse 8 not working on a mac running OS X 10.6.1 with Polish as a main language.
I've just purchased pse 8 from Apple store. I had a previous version of pse installed on my imac, so I uninstalled it using the unistaller from the pse 6 disc, installed pse 8 and.... bang ! - I got this lovely message on my screen (error 150:30, licensing stopped working etc.) Then after searching many forums I found I was not the only one having the same problem.
I've tried every single suggested solution (repairing disc permissions, deleting FLEXnet lib etc) - obviously nothing works (except changing the language to English of course).
Does a working solution exist for this problem?
I am not a happy bunny and I'll probably return pse 8 asap and go back to the 'old' 6 ver.

    Hey folks:
As Ankush mentions, we are keenly aware of this problem.
There are actually two issues here:
First one is that when PSE8 is launched on systems that are not of the supported languages, this Licensing Has Stopped Working error occurs.
the only way to work around this one is to switch your system to a supported language.
Please note, the supported languages are clearly defined athttp://www.adobe.com/products/photoshopelmac/systemreqs/ and on the product packaging.
Second one is that occasionally, this bug occurs when launching in a supported language. For most folks the workaround is to simply try and launch PSE8 again. There seems to be a few folks who are running in a supported language, and relaunching doesn't work. See Ankush's note at http://forums.adobe.com/thread/502331?tstart=30 for a workaround if you're faced with this situation.
Rest assured that we are working on getting to the root cause, and understanding what it will take to get a fix out. We don't yet have enough info to convey when an update could happen. That does not mean we're not working on it.
Sorry for the hassle, and thanks for your patience here.
    Cheers
    Bob

  • Hello, my copy of Dreamweaver CS4 stopped working, a message appears stating "Licensing for this product stopped working" error 150:30

Hello, my copy of Dreamweaver CS4 stopped working, a message appears stating "Licensing for this product stopped working" error 150:30. I have a license I bought from Adobe directly, and which has always worked fine. Any hints?
    I have a new iMac Retina 5K, 27-inch. late 2014 with a 4 GHz Intel Core i7, 32 GB DDR3, Mac OS Yosemite

    Hello,
Please try the suggestions in the link below

  • Problem with new iMac (with Yosemite): Licensing has stopped working Error 150:30

I have just bought a new iMac and used the Migration Assistant to transfer all my existing programs from my old computer.
When I try to launch my copy of InDesign CS4, I get the error message:
Licensing for this product has stopped working
    Error 150:30
Because new iMacs do not have disk drives, I cannot reinstall using my original DVD disks.
Adobe’s online support team have said they are unable to help.
The Licensing Repair application does not work in Yosemite
    Does anyone have any suggestions?
    With many thanks
    Greg

    Download CS4 products
And fix the permissions on the relevant Library folders. The rest is between you and your Mac - as far as Adobe are concerned, CS4 is officially not compatible with Yoesemite.

  • Licensing has stopped working error durinng launch of Photoshop CS3

I cannot get rid of this error message during launch of PS CS3. I tried uninstalling running the CS3MacClean Script, reinstalling, ... same problem. The same installer and serial number works fine on a clean system so I know there must be a file or two that the cleanup script doesn't remove.
Anybody know what files to delete?

After installation, a system upgrade, machine migration, backup restore, or some other system event(s), trying to launch Adobe applications on Mac OS X results in the error "Licensing for this product has stopped working." You may see error numbers after this message, such as "150:30".
    Solutions
Do one or more of the following solutions. Note, Adobe Trial Software that displays the error can not be restored to run.
Solution 1: Run the License Repair Tool
    Close any Adobe applications.
    Download the License Repair Tool:
    www.adobe.com/support/contact/licensing.html
    Run the License Service Update.
    1. Double click the LicenseRecovery111.dmg
    2. Double click the LicenseRecoveryLauncher.app.
    3. Enter your administrator username and password when prompted and click OK.
    4. Follow the on-screen instructions.
    Start your Adobe application(s).
Important: The patch applies to Creative Suite 3 or 4 products, Acrobat 8 or 9, Photoshop Elements 6 or 8, Director and Technical Communication Suite.  If your issue was not resolved on the first attempt, run the patch again and enter option 0, when prompted to do so.
Solution 2: Delete the FLEXnet Publisher preferences folder
Important: The path listed below refers to the Library folder that lives just inside your startup disk, not the Library folder inside your user home folder!
    Quit all Adobe applications.
On your startup disk, locate and rename, or copy to the desktop and then delete, the following folder:
    /Library/Preferences/FLEXnet Publisher/
    Start your Adobe application(s).
    Solution 3: Repair Disk Permissions
    Launch the Apple Disk Utility:
    /Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility.app
    Select your startup disk.
    Click Repair Disk Permissions.
Note: This can take considerable time. For more information about using Disk Utility, consult Apple's website.
    Start your Adobe application(s).
Solution 4: Reset your permissions on the FLEXnet Publisher licensing service folder.
Important: The path listed below refers to the Library folder that lives just inside your startup disk, not the Library folder inside your user home folder!
Use the permissions instructions below to modify the permissions on the following folder on your startup disk:
    /Library/Application Support/FLEXnet Publisher/
Solution 5: Reset your permissions on the Adobe PCD folder.
Important: The path listed below refers to the Library folder that lives just inside your startup disk, not the Library folder inside your user home folder!
Use the permissions instructions below to modify the permissions on the following folder on your startup disk:
    /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe PCD/
    Permissions Instructions:
Close out of all Adobe applications. Follow the directions below to modify permissions to the folder.
Note: This solution requires administrative privileges on your computer. You will need to provide administrative credentials.
    On Mac OS X 10.4
Using Finder, navigate to the folder to be modified.
Control+Click the folder, and then select Get Info.
Expand the Ownership & Permissions section.
Click the Details option to show the various owner and group options.
Verify that you have Read & Write permissions.
Click the lock icon next to the Owner field, choose yourself as the Owner, type in your administrator username and password when prompted, and click OK.
    Change the Owner to system.
Change the Permission to Read & Write for Owner.
Click Apply To Enclosed Items and click OK to the warning dialog.
Type in your administrator username and password when prompted and click OK.
Close the Get Info dialog box.
Launch Adobe Acrobat 9 or an Adobe Creative Suite 4 product.
    On Mac OS X 10.5
Using Finder, navigate to the folder to be modified.
Control+Click on the folder, and then select Get Info.
Expand the Sharing & Permissions section.
Click on the Details option to show the various owner and group options.
Click the lock icon in the lower right corner. Type in your administrator username and password when prompted and click OK.
Change your username to have Read & Write permissions.
Change admin to have Read & Write permissions.
Change Everyone to have Read & Write permissions.
Click the Gear icon and select Apply To Enclosed Item.
Close the Get Info dialog box.
Launch Adobe Acrobat 9 or an Adobe Creative Suite 4 product.
Solution 6: Remove the SQLite journaling file.
Important: The path listed below refers to the Library folder that lives just inside your startup disk, not the Library folder inside your user home folder!
The journaling file exists only under specific circumstances where a client is accessing the database file with certain options enabled. If the file does not exist, continue to the next solution.
    Using Finder, navigate to:
    /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe PCD/cache
    If present, delete cache.db-journal.
Launch Adobe Acrobat 9 or an Adobe Creative Suite 4 product.
Solution 7: (Acrobat 9 only) Reinstall on a non-case-sensitive file system.
Adobe applications are not supported on an OS formatted with a case-sensitive file system. If you attempt to install an Adobe application on a case sensitive volume such as a UFS, HFS+ case sensitive (HFSX) or SMB formatted drive, you get an error that the file system of the setup drive is not supported. Only Acrobat 9 doesn't display such error message and allows you to install the application, but attempting to launch Acrobat 9 results in the error "Licensing for this product has stopped working (error code 130:9)." The drive needs to be reformatted to a non-case-sensitive file system.
To check if MAC OS X is formatted with a case-sensitive file system :
From the Apple menu select About this Mac.
Click More Info and under Hardware select Serial-ATA.
Select the drive Acrobat 9 has been installed on and check the file system in the list. Note if the file system is case sensitive.
Alternatively, use the Disk Utility to check the file system:
From Applications > Utilities, launch the Disk Utility
Select the disk Acrobat is installed on and check its format.
Solution 8: Contact Adobe Technical Support
Adobe Technical Support can obtain logs from your machine to determine additional information about the failure. Contact Adobe Technical Support if the information provided has not helped to resolve your issue.
    Additional Information
The Flexnet folders/files required to run Adobe applications can get corrupted, or have permission settings problems, if moved from one machine to another, or through a system restore from Time Machine. Flexnet service licensing failures can't be resolved by re-installating the appliaction, nor will the Adobe CS3 or CS4 Clean Scripts solve this problem. If permissions issues prevented the FLEXnet licensing service from launching, accessing its data, or communicating with Adobe processes, the licensing failure is expected.
