Lightbox in flash

hey guys, i found a lightbox that apparently works with flash..
so i did everything they say to do on the html part...
and they say to put this on your button:

is the script ok? or there is a mistake?
cause nothing is happening...

i've been looking at it over and over, and it seems that there are errors in the " and '...but i really cant figure it out since no error pops up... is anyone able to see if this code would exist?

Js lightbox w/ flash = wmode = opaque = problems!

I am currently building a flash site and want to incorporate a js lightbox to display artwork overtop the pages. From what I have read, the only way to allow content over flash is to set wmode = opaque or transparent. And that creates nothing but problems, particularly in Firefox. Is there anyway to use an application like a js lightbox and have it appear over flash without traveling into the "buggy" world of wmode? Is there a workaround? Or am I just one of the million people to complain about wmode?

Could someone please point me in the right direction? A discussion page, a tutorial? I know this really isn't AS3, but I don't know where else to look.

Launch lightbox from flash animation

Does anyone know of the best way to launch an iFrame video box in a lightbox from a Flash banner?
I have a shopping cart and need to have the video which is served via iframe from a third party site displayed in a lightbox but can not find anything suitable.

I don't really understand what you are trying to do... can you explain in simpler, clear details? That said...
Break the process down into steps.
Get you "video box" working first (whatever a video box is???).
Create the HTML page which will hold the iframe content, then add your video box to that.
Place the iframe on your main HTML page
Create a button or link in your Flash banner and call the or display that iframe... use javascript if needed.

Something similar to lightbox for flash?

Hi all,
I'm searching something similar to the lightbox effect in javascript, but for flash.
I already tried succesfully "flash lightbox v2" (http://blog.alancurtis.it/tag/flash/) but I'm searching something native for flash, without javascript.
Is there something usefull around?

Lightbox like functionality in Flash is very basic and native to it. It is as simple as creating a displayobject, putting images on its display list and creating some transition effect with tween engine. But this requires knowledge of ActionScript.
You can also do this these things on timeline manually.
Because it is so basic, you, perhaps will not find any tutorials. Even beginner's level of Flash skills enables one to develop this kind of functionality.

Flash and lightbox. Playing a flash within lightbox

When I access the webpage in Chrome, then access the developer tools, I get this error
Uncaught ReferenceError: swfobject is not defined
I think this might be the source of your issue.

I'm kinda in a hurry to get this site up and running and i need to cut a few corners. Does anyone no where i can get a template for a photo gallery. My site is a Dreamweaver site, but if had to use a flash image gallery that wouldn't be a problem. I basically wanna plug my words and captions in and be done with it. Any help? I still want it to look nice though.

How to Insert Web Gallery in Web Page?

I created a Web Photo Gallery in Adobe Bridge CS4. I want to INSERT it in a web page using Dreamweaver. The problem is that the Web Gallery is an index.html file and appears to be a web page itself. But I need it to just be part of a web page that contains my background images, texts and links. The Web Gallery is NOT a flash animation.

With so many questions about this, I decided to create a test gallery using Bridge and I must admit, it's not as easy as one would think to incorporate it into an existing site. Admittedly I didn't spent too much time on this, but I agree, it should be much easier to implement.

How to use CS4 extention on CS3?

Is there any way we can use these extension for CS3 or they are designed only for CS4?
If they are designed only for CS4 wht should a person do who has already bought CS3?
Extension like Lightbox, Thickbox, Flash Gallery etc

Some extensions can be installed in previous versions. If you've tried to install them and you can't install them (getting a message that CS4 or higher is required or similar message), then you can't install them into CS3. Of course upgrading is an option, but if that's not good for you for whatever reason, then what you can do is to add the code to your page/site manually rather than via the extension. Some extensions are based upon open source JavaScript libraries and have downloads with instructions. I'm sure that Lightbox and Thickbox are available in that way, just search for them on Google.

Anyway to use Video Lightbox Output in a Flash-based website?

I use Video lightbox on my current site (For an example here is my page now - http://www.ruesterprod.com/video )
I am redesigning my website in Flash and I would like to make a Flash Gallery using the Video Lightbox elements (Thumbnail, jQuery loader, etc.)
How could I accomplish this?

You can use the entire Video lightbox as is by stacking it in a separte <div> container over the top of the other Flash content on the page.
The stacking process is a common practice in HTML and is called z-indexing.
Leave a blank spot in your .fla in exactly the spot you want the video gallery. Place your .swf on the Web page as you normally would. Now there will be a blank spot where the video gallery will go.
Then using z-indexing and CSS positioning, place the video gallery in it's own <div> container stacked over the top of the Flash content. This will make it look like the video gallery is a part of the Flash background.

Examples of using lightbox to display Flash content (swf)?

I want to use lightbox to display Flash video player. I would like to have lightbox load a page that has SWFObject code for displaying the Flash content. This page with the Flash content and SWFObject will have certain paramters and vars. Does anyone know of an example or tutoral for doing this?

you would create movieclips for the black semi-transparent background and white background, use a database (like xml) with the urlloader class to supply image path/file names and size, the loader class to load external images and display a preloader movieclip and the backgrounds and use the tween class (or a 3rd party library like tweenlite) to tween the white background and fade-in the loaded image.

I don't believe the Lightbox script was designed to handle this without modification to the source code. I think what you would be better looking into is a modal window and then you could use Jquery event handlers and load effects to that.
For an easy to set up modal window I would recommend looking at the JQuery UI Project ( http://jqueryui.com/ ). The dialog ( http://jqueryui.com/demos/dialog/ ) should be what you are looking for. See the "Animated Dialog" link on the right of the demo to see how to load effects on the event handlers. The source code will show you what you need to know.
