Lightroom 2 HTML Gallery: Changing WEBSITE meta name="Keywords" of  template def

Lightroom 2.0 HTML Gallery Engine: Can I change the WEBSITE meta name="Keywords" of the template default?
DEFAULT HTML CODE generated by template:
meta name="Keywords" content="photography,software,photos,digital darkroom,gallery,image,photographer,adobe,photoshop,lightroom"
meta name="generator" content="Adobe Photoshop Lightroom" "
Thanks for any info.

Download the SDK, read up on Web Galleries, find the default_html.lrwebengine, back it up.
Open and edit the index and detail pages, then save them. If you messed it up, replace it with the backup. All at your own risk. I don't encourage messing with the factory files.
If you want a second version, change the title and id to something else and use both of them.

    How do I create an Lightroom HTML Gallery and preserve the - in the file name?
    The hyphen (-) is more search engine friendly, so I label all my photos using hyphens (-) to separate the keywords in the file name
    Here's a sample file name - it's for the "Guess Where Berkeley" flickr site
    guess-where-berkeley-serkes-xx-s-curve.jpg
    I created a Lightroom HTML Gallery and posted it to the following link.
    http://www.berkeleyhomes.com/tests/lightroom/lightroom-test-1/
    Though it looksl like the HML gallery shows the original file name in the web page, it looks like Adobe Lightroom modified each photo's file name by changing the - (hyphen) to an underscore (_)

    InDesign's interactive PDF support is a small subset of what you can do in Acrobat Profesional.
    I think you probably want to create a button (or change an existing button) in Acrobat Pro that causes Acrobat to close the document -- that should be analagous to "exitting the CD." I assume your autorun file is opening the PDF in Adobe Reader? You have not included it and are not specific, so it is tough to say.
    I believe in Acrobat Javascript you can close the document with this.closeDoc(). You'll probaly need to ask on the Acrobat forums (possiby Acrobat Scripting) for more detail.

  • Meta name="keywords"

    Hello,
    I am degsigning a new website and all went well until I cut and pasted the <meta name="keyword" contents=blah! blah! blah! blah! blah! blah! blah!. /> from the old site and performed a Clean up Word html but html 5 threw it's toys out of the pram and deleted it compeltely.
    Does this mean Keywords are now obsolete? if so what do we use for Key Word assuming they are still used but under another guise? Obviously each page has it's own title and below that I have the Description which is a brief sentance about the webpage.
    I am now confused
    Lee

    Hello Lee,
    may I put in my five cents too relating to the chapter "meta names"? there had been very interesting threads here in the forum about SEO, which I remember. Please have a look here e.g.:
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/4853435#4853435 (esp. consecutive number 3).
    In my library I found this detailed description from 2009, BUT still up-to-date in my eyes:
    1) Fully understand your markup language.
    2) Work first BEFORE anything on CONTENT not on black hat "tricks" and or on white hat inbound links.
    3) Expand the content so that you become an authority on the subject of the keyword phrases you wish to appear well ranked for.
    4) Avoid the error of going all over the internet looking for the "ONE WAY TO SUCCESS" posts. There is NO such thing. Google does not rank all sites and blogs by the same values. Some are simply in the top ten for middle to complex keywords and keyword phrases because of their AGE and the AUTHORITY factor (that they contain original content with good outbound links WHILE OTHER BLOGS AND SITES are listed in the top ten ON REGIONAL search because of inbound links (example: You are better ranked on Google.FR if you have FRENCH blogs from FRENCH servers linking to you as well as being yourself hosted on a FRENCH dot fr domain or a in France hosted dot com). And there are certain pages which are ranked simply by the volume of search requests for that page. And then there are others which appear and remain in the top ten because they are rated by Google with what is called PageRank .... and on and on.
    In other words before you end up getting depressed and giving in to purchasing Adwords (sponsored links) try the following:
    4b) Set a routine. Make this routine involve an hour at least per day to UPDATING and EXPANDING your content. Use PDF files (learn how to optimize meta tags and onpage PDF alt text and Accessibility). Expand with images which have BEFORE YOU UPLOAD THEM been right clicked to add (on your computer) meta information to the image files. Make sure to name your image info TRUTHFULLY (Google can read the content of images) so do not call it PARIS HILTON and ME unless it is a photo of you and Paris. Use the "+" sign between keywords. Per example if indeed it is a picture of you with Paris Hilton in Saint Tropez in the summer of 2008 then you might wish to name the image: YourFullnameInOneword+ParisHilton+SaintTropez+France+2008.jpg - note that some image formats do not allow for meta tags. Also be aware that as soon as you start tagging your images these keywords will be READ BY THE ROBOTS as they crawl your markup - so DO NOT SPAM your image titles and have DIFFERENT image tittles. Also place your images in a 2 deep folder system on your server. Example: /images/KEYWORD/YourFullnameInOneword+ParisHilton+SaintTropez+France+ 2008.jpg AND ALWAYS LINK TO THE IMAGE WITH THE FULL URI / URL.
    4c) Next spend a few hours reading a good BOOK about SEO. There are several. The best I have found is by DAVID VINEY and called "Get to the Top on Google" (Published by Nicholas Brealey Publishing - London, Boston). This book will give you tips and techniques to get your site to the of the search engine rankings and stay there. Also read the archives of Vanessa Fox's Blog - www.ninebyblue.com/blog/ (corrected by HGD now > http://www.ninebyblue.com/blog/seo/).
    5) Set your objective to 3 keywords or keyword phrases per page.
    6) Start to NAME YOUR PAGES with your keywords and name your folders as well - but try to do this ALL in small letters with dashes between words.
    7) Install Google Webmaster Tools.
    8) Make and add a XML sitemap and update this on Google Webmaster Tools. (And get Google Analytics)
    9) Start to seek IN THE TEXT BODY PageRank 5 and higher "follow links"
    (see here info about NOFOLLOW links on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nofollow).
    10) Take a break and start again - the key to success is WORK. Nothing else will give you lasting success as honest effort.
    On the other hand you can expedite a bit by using "Dublin Core Metadata". Here the link:
    http://www.metatags.info/dublin_core_metadata_element_set
    ... and as Nancy O. said - only a short time ago - be patient!
    Good luck!

  • Lightroom HTML Gallery - interesting tidbit

    While browsing through the transformer.xslt for the Lightroom HTML Gallery, I found a template that suggested interaction between Lightroom and the generated web gallery, specifically:
    When you display a single image in the web module preview, the filmstrip will automatically highlight the respective image in Lightroom. Click enxt or previous, and the filmstrip will update.
    Works really well, and is a nice touch for those using the original HTML gallery. Looking at the code, this will not exactly be easy to reproduce for others (like me) looking to code their own gallery...

    Thanks Ryan - thought it may be something as easy as that ! I keep forgetting that you can use html tags as well as ui ones.

  • Lightroom HTML Gallery on Behance

    I'd love to be able to upload a Lightroom HTML (style) gallery to Behance. Does anyone know of a way to do so? I'm really hoping an Adobe person sees this and adds it to the list of things to put in future updates.

  • Lightroom HTML Gallery paths

    System = PC, Version = 1.4.1
    When uploading an HTML Gallery, the sequence of folders used to hold the images includes a folder called 'bin'. In IIS7, it would be required to create a 'HiddenSegement' section in the site's web.config file in order to allow browsers to view files who's full URL includes that folder name, such as the images.
    The problem with allowing this is that IIS7 would then allow all folders like 'bin' to be viewed, which isn't what I'd prefer. Also, having to manually modify web.config might not be straightforward for all users.
    Would it be possible to allow the paths used by the HTML Gallery upload to be customized, so that they don't include 'bin'?
    Thanks,
    Simon

    You could edit the gallery. There's a wealth of info in the new SDK on web.

  • Web: Adjust Lightroom HTML Gallery

    Hi all,
    LR's web engine "HTML Gallery" works almost perfect for me. Only two things I'd like to change is size of the thumbnails and remove the navigation buttons on the large picture pages.
    Could anyone pass me a hint if this is possible / how it could be done?
    Thanks!!

  • Embedding Lightroom HTML gallery with Dreamweaver

    I'm new to Dreamweaver and have used it to build a portfolio website.  I've created HTML image galleries using Lightroom and would like to integrate these galleries into my existing page design.  Lightroom generates an Index file, as well as Context and Resources folders.  I've seen an earlier discussion about using LR to upload the galleries to my host, then edit the HTML to link the gallery pages to my other web pages.  This strikes me as cumbersome for two products made by a single company.
    What I'm after is a clear answer about if I can embed these HTML galleries quickly and easily into my existing page design?  My other solution is to use the Airtight SimpleViewer gallery, but since it's using Flash, my galleries won't work on Apple mobile devices.
    I'm using Dreamweaver CS5.5 and Lightroom 3.
    Thanks in advance for any help.

    You can't edit a flash gallery with Dreamweaver.
    To make changes to the LR flash gallery you would require a copy of the original fla file and a copy of Flash to edit it.
    The index file you see is the one that loads the flash player to play your gallery. The message is what is seen in a browser that doesn't have flash player installed.
    You can make amendments to the gallery itself by changing the xml files, although the changes you can make here can also be made in LR itself so why bother?
    You can embed the gallery itself in your own html page. Using insert, media and then finding the gallery.swf file. As long as you then upload everything in the correct locations (including the scrippt files abd the new html file in the same folder structure it will work.
    There are other flash galleries that are far easier to  embed available. However in order to make serious changes to flash galleries of any type you will require the original fla file and most designers are not going to give you that! Adobe does give away the fla's for the galleries that ship with PS.

  • Add Facebook Comments to a Lightroom HTML Gallery template

    If you prefer displaying your photos on your own website using Lightroom’s web galleries over uploading your photos to Facebook then one of the drawbacks is the lack of commenting. Fortunately, there’s a way to add Facebook Comments to your own website and gallery. See an example here. To implement this solution see the step by step tutorial:
    http://so.ca/?p=265
    Does anyone know if Lightroom templates are over-written when upgrading to a new version of Lightroom? It would be annoying to have to repeat these steps with each version upgrade.
    Thanks.

    Hi Jerfrank,
    If you are looking outside of SharePoint, I would suggest you to check Facebook SDK to integrate with your site.
    Here are few links to start with -

    And a bing search for "Facebook developer API" could also help you.

  • Problem with Lightroom-HTML-Gallery

    Hi Adobe-Team, I like your gallery in Lightroom 3 but there is one problem! If I write the title to the photos, google can't read it - so it is not possible to find the photos in the internet! Google seems to read the words above the photo. So it thinks the title is "zurück  - Index - weiter" (in German) or in english "back index next". Could you add the possibility to write the title of the photo next to the upper side of the photo? Would be phantastic!! it would be also nice to get the possibility to switch the language of the "back - index - forward" Best wishes, ralph

    Please be clear enough...your problem was? I suggest just drop the porn lol...

  • Changing website/domain name site.

    I'm a rookie at this, so bear with me. Currently I have a domain name & website through Yahoo Small Business. I am now a Mac addict and want my website to go through .mac/ilife. How does one go about accomplishing that?

    Hi James,
    Just as the registrar.
    I went to Yahoo in the beginning because they were simple to deal with, but have since bought space with 1&1. While they are much more complex with the organization of their services, I think you get more for your money; like 25 free sub-domains with each domain, the CGI's, cetra. Uploading to their servers is also very efficient compared to Yahoo, and their servers are fast and reliable.
    Glad to hear you're experimenting with images for browser backgrounds! Can we see it?

    Hello Zorig,
    >>I want to generate the column as BillingAddress and ShippingAddress
    After you added the Address type in the ApplicationUser entity, the Entity Framework would build a 1-1…0 relationship between two entities, you could use the ForeignKey attribute to specify the generated foreign key column name, if your ApplicationUser and
    Address have a one…zero to many relationship.
    public class ApplicationUser
    [Required]
    public int SippingAddressID { get; set; }
    [Required]
    [ForeignKey("SippingAddressID ")]
    public Address ShippingAddress { get; set; }
    [Required]
    public int BillingAddressID { get; set; }
    [Required]
    [ForeignKey("BillingAddressID ")]
    public Address BillingAddress { get; set; }
    public int ApplicationUserID { get; set; }
    public string FirstName { get; set; }
    public string LastName { get; set; }
    If they are one..zero to one relationship, in EF, this kind relationship is implemented by mapping primary key, in your case, we cannot specify one primary property to map to two different columns in database.

  • Embed Lightroom Web Gallery into Dreamweaver

    Hi.  I've created a web gallery (lightroom html gallery) using Lightroom 3 and I am wanting to embed it into an existing website that I am working on in Dreamweaver CS5.  I've tried many things but nothing seems to work.  I've copied the gallery folder into the website folder and uploaded it straight to the site and that doesn't work.  As well as changing the index.html and index_2.html (2nd page of gallery) to matching titles of a link that is meant to open up straight to the gallery and it still doesn't work.  I've been trying for countless hours and can get nothing. Somebody please help on how to embed a lightroom gallery into an existing dreamweaver site so that it fully works.

    I'm not sure I completely understand your problem, because linking to a Lightroom gallery is actually very simple.
    Design your Lightroom gallery and upload it to your server. Just do it directly from LR. Let's suppose you have uploaded it into [your webroot folder]/galleries/test/.
    Don't rename any of the index files.
    Check it has actually worked, by visiting http://celestialapple.zxq.net/galleries/test/index.html with your browser.
    Create a link to the gallery on your home page. The source code for the link is <a href="/galleries/test/index.html">Other Photoshop gallery</a>
    And that's it already.
    Cheers,
    Michael

  • Disappearing Lightroom web gallery photos

    I'm using a Mac, Lightroom 3 uploading to a host monster.com server.  the Lightroom HTML gallery displays fine when exported and opened offline but when uploaded to my server, backgrounds and navigation and cells appear fine but all the photos appear to be missing.  the source code appears to have the correct path.  When I've seen this question earlier users suggest that the photos are being put in a bin file but mine look to be in the correct path on the server.  Other users suggest changing code in some Lightroom files perhaps using the SDK but I can't find the files they suggest changing (I think they might have been on pcs instead of macs).  Any help would be appreciated.

    I teach photography and was practicing using Lightroom this summer so I could have my students make websites of their photos but this is disappointing and frustrating.  We purchased Lightroom 3 about 2 months before Lightroom 4 came out but I don't think we'll have funding for another upgrade this fall.

    Host monster tech support found the problem.  they are the greatest bar none with their tech support.
     It appears that the rewrite conditions in your public_html/.htacces file is preventing the images from being displayed on http://www.rocklandbaptist.mnsherwood.com
    I renamed the file to .htaccess.old and added the following code.
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://rocklandbaptist.mnsherwood.com/.*$      [NC]
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://www.rocklandbaptist.mnsherwood.com/.*$      [NC]
    The images are now viewable.  You will need to add the same code to the .htaccess file for each subdomain that you create, otherwise the images will be block from being displayed.
    Guess it wasn't a Lightroom issue
