Lightroom CC Freezes After One Action

Brand new (refurbished) PC.
Win 7 Home Premium SP 1 32-bit
Intel Core 2 Duo
4 gig RAM
I'll perform one action in Lightroom CC (like select a folder to import from) and then it freezes into Not Responding.
Any ideas?

Hi, first of all excuse me about my Englis.
I had the same type of problem you described! The program, after a logged out and logged back in in the creative cloud desktop app, just freezes.
I did this way and it now works properly:
- I make sure I just have my older catalog plus the preview file in one folder
- I lunch Lightroom and when the upgrade dialogue box appears I created a new catalog (choose desktop as destination so it is easy to find later) and click ok
- At this point you should be inside Lightroom with an empty catalog
- from the pull down menu under "Lightroom" (on Mac, on Windows I guess it should be under "File") choose: "open differe catalog" and on the next window look for your old catalog"
- Lightroom should tell you that the catalog needs to be upgrade and after you confirm and after the catalog conversion process ends you should be inside Lightroom with your old catalog upgraded and working
- next time you start Lightroom it should be working as expected.
- delete the folder Lightroom created on the desktop for the new catalog you created before.

Try waiting a few minutes, or longer, to see if the beachball goes away. Start up iTunes, then go do something else for awhile. Perhaps iTunes is going some overdue bookkeeping and once you let it do it it will work again.

WVC80N Monitoring Utility Software- Freezes after one or two frames. Tech support no help!

I have a new WVC80N cam and a new WRT230N router. After installing both, everything is up and running perfectly via IE. I can access from any IE computer with no problems. HOWEVER, the desktop monitoring utility will NOT work! I only have one cam attached (wired because the sound it TERRIBLE if wireless despite HOURS of troubleshooting with tech support) but it freezes after one or two frames. I've tried on XP and Vista. Tech Support in Irvine, CA simply siad there is a software conflict (and that there are many they know of), but offered NO other diagnostic help. He simply said it's probably conflicting with another video compression software on my computer and to start uninstlling programs until the problem is fixed! WAY TO GO TECH SUPPORT....THATS A REAL SOLUTION FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS!!! Oh and he asked me to notify them IF I found the problem!!!!
Does anyone have any ideas about common software that may be causing my conflicts? Or has anyone experienced the same issues? There isn't much on these boards about this problem and I can't believe that I'm the only one who has experienced the utility software NOT working on TWO different computers and two Operating systems. These are my first linksys products in a VERY long time, and so far they'll be my last!!!!!!!!
ANY HELP/IDEAS is GREATLY appreciated.

Your problem is exactly my problem. I tried both Windows Xp and 7. I can see live video, but the utility only record for a few second and freeze. There is no tech support in my country - cambodia, so I'm in a more serious situation. I also need help. May be I should tried from a fresh windows installation, but what is it good for. It takes lot of time to reinstall everything. Your comments do suggest some software conflict. I think I will try it on my laptop rather than my desktop, which I do not have lot of software installed on my laptop.

My wife updated her operating system on her Ipad. Now it freezes after each touch of the screen. At which point she has to close the cover then reopen it, just so it can freeze again after the next touch. We have tried the reset option. Any advice?

ITunes freezes after one cd import

I'm able to import one cd, then click eject to remove the cd just imported. When I insert another cd iTunes freezes. I need to restart my computer to be able to import the second cd. Any ideas of what's wrong? Thanks.

It seems that I'm not alone. Is there anyone who can help with this issue. I have have around 300 Cd's and the thought of trying to reboot after each Cd is mind numbing. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Itunes freezes after one use

I have been transferring CD's to the library.
After transferring one Cd, itunes freezes and nothing else works. Windows does not shutdown and Outlook does not work.
I have Windows XP.

Adobe Premiere Elements 10 Video Freezes After One Frame

Hi, so my Adobe product worked PERFECT for about a year now, then all of a sudden it just broke, When I put a file into it, it shows the First Frame and Freezes, the Audio plays as if the Video was showing, but the Video is just frozen. I don't know how to fix it, I've uninstalled and re-installed it, but nothing is helping.

What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 10 running on, and what video card/graphics card
does your computer use? NVIDIA GeForce?
If so, please read the Announcement at the top of this forum regarding the Premiere Elements 10/NVIDIA issue
which forces the Premiere Elements 10 user to roll back the driver version to about May 2013 in order to get
Premiere Elements 10 to function properly. For your convenience, the following is a copy/paste of that

If you are a Premiere Elements 10 user whose Windows computer uses a NVIDIA GeForce video card and you

troubleshooting needs to be rolling back the video card driver version instead of assuring that it is up to date.
Since October 2013 to the present, there have been a growing number of reports about display and unexplained
workflow glitches specific to the Premiere Elements 10 user whose Windows computer has a NVIDIA GeForce
video card. If this applies to you, then the “user to user” remedy is to roll back the NVIDIA GeForce video card
driver as far as is necessary to get rid of the problems. The typical driver roll back has gone back as far as

I pod freezes after one song.

I like to set my ipod to shuffle through songs and just let the playlist go.
BUT recently when I play my ipod through my speaker dock it plays one song and then freezes! The only way I can get it to play another song is if I switch it off and then on again, which is very annoying.....
Also it is supposed to charge whilst on the speaker dock but when it freezes the battery indicator is sometimes red. When this recently happened I started to scroll through some of my photos (to try to calm myself down)and then the battery indicator miraculously jumped back to a healthy green again!
I don't think it is the speaker dock which is the problem as it plays my partner's ipod no problem - lucky him!
Any suggestions?

I'm not convinced that it is a battery issue as I have never had battery problems with this i pod before (this ipod is actually a replacement for the 1st one I bought and that had some very serious battery problems).And I have been using this one for around 6 months now with no problems so far.
I have tried some of the 5 R's and I think the last resort would be to restore the i pod, however I'm very reluctant to do this as I understand all of my music will be erased during the restoration. It certainly was a pain in the backside having to copy all my music back in to the computer when apple replaced the first faulty i pod - and I don't have my music stored in i tunes (there was loads) and I deleted as I copied to save space.
The funny thing is that my i pod seems to work fine when I use it on it's own, have it connected to a computer or have it connected to a cassette adapter - I only seem to have trouble when it is connected to the speaker dock! But as I say the speaker dock plays my partner's ipod fine and dandy and had played mine all Summer without any hitches.....
Very strange and confusing.

Router freezes after one or two weeks

I have a Linksys WRK54G wireless router. I've found that after an extended period varying from one to two weeks, access to the router from any of the machines on my LAN is impossible. Powering down and restarting the router corrects the problem, but I'd like to have it stay up continuously, as I often access it from remote locations.
Does anyone have any idea what would cause this or how to fix it. I have the "Keep Alive" set at the 30 minute default.

Looping menu freezes after one play

Hi there!
I have Adobe Encore 2.0 - and I'm trying to make a simple menu... It's an 8 second long video clip and a link. I set the duration of the video background to 8 seconds, and the loop # to forever. But when I build the DVD and play it in my DVD-player it plays for 8 seconds and then freezes. If I push the button/link before those 8 seconds I get to the next menu - but I have the same problem there...
Can anyone think of what I'm doing wrong? This is a project I'm doing for a friend of mine, and he needs it by this friday - so I'm kinda stressed out right now.

What happens if you do not set the Loop Point, and just set Looping to Forever? The Duration of your Motion Menu should take care of itself.
Also, you might want to pick up a pack of DVD RW's, to test with - no more "coasters."

XP freezes after one month

Hello,
For the third time in 3 months I had to reinstall a Toshiba Satellite Pro with Windows XP. After about 3 to 4 weeks the laptop starts and stops at the startup. It keeps hanging by loading the personal settings. When I use the save mode it still keeps hanging. The only way to get it running again is to install windows XP again. Does anybody know what is going on?

The only definitive "fault" I can think of is a dodgy hard drive. Run some SMART monitoring tools and post up a log if you can (smartctl is a good choice).
Ensure that on a new installation, that your antivirus and antispyware are up to date. I personally recomment Spybot, Spyware Blaster and AVG. I don't trust or use online checkers at all. They are very limited in their capabilities.
You should also try a program called Ccleaner for the removal of temporary and leftover files/registry entries that may slow down your system.

Satellite 1400-104 freezes after starting main softwarepackage

Hi,
It concerns a Toshiba Satellite 1400-103 (512 MB memory). On booting the Satellite works fine, no problems with surfin or mailing, but when I start a main softwarepackage (like MS Word of Excel, or Macromedia Dreamweaver), the PC freezes after one or two minutes.
I have the impression that the fan suddenly starts turning and the computer freezes. The only thing I can do is shut down by holding the startbutton about 10 seconds, and restart.
I already reinstalled Windows XP, but after two weeks the same problem occurs. My Antivirusprogramm works fine and I check every week on spyware and malware.
Does someone have a clue about this problem?

Like you can see it happens just if the some complex applications started and in the moment where the processor must run with very high speed. In this moment the processor produce a lot of warmness and it must be cooled properly. If the processor temperature is too high the unit will be shut down or freezes because of protecting the processor.
In my opinion the unit should be cleaned from dust and after that the processor can be cooled properly.

Apple TV stops after one song

Hi All,
I recently bought my Apple TV (3rd gen) and have the most recent update (5.2). I also have the most up to date iTunes (11.0.1). The thing is that when I want to enter the library on my laptop (windows 7) Apple TV freezes after one song. It loads the next song but then stops. I still can go back in the menu, but the connection with the library is lost.
I also have a desktop computer (windows 7) running with a different iTunes library, and when i stream music from that library everything works fine. So my guess is that there is something wrong in the laptop (ACER Travelmate). I tried loads of things but they all do not seem to work:
- switched off windows firewall
- switched off IP/V6
- reinstalled the bonjour software
- reinstalled the itunes software
- I use a TP-link router with up to date firmware
Any ideas what might cause this problem? Is there maybe any other software that could be blocking my connection?

I have the same problem. I think it is disgusting that nobody at Apple has responded to your post. I see no evidence that Apple cares about this bug, which renders Airplay (on Apple TV) useless.

Help! Lightroom freezes after installing.

I get this message after trying to create or open a catalog: "An error occured when attemting to change modules." Then Lightroom freezes.
I work on a Mac and have formatted and reinstalled my systemdisk with a qlean install. I had Lightroom installed and have used it for some years. But when installing the programs again I went for the Creative Cloud solution. When I tried to open my previous catalog I got this error message. And after several deinstallings and reinstallings I still get the same message and Lightroom freezes.
Anyone who can help?

Freezing after 2-3 actions

Hi everyone! I have a problem that only popped up only yesterday and is now crippling my entire Premiere program. I had edited a multi camera sequence using files off of an external SSD and also included some art cards and videos off of my own internal hard drive. Everything was going smoothly until I had to delete a video clip at the end of the sequence and use a different one instead. When I tried to export this version of my sequence, Premiere froze my whole computer at 64%. I forced shut down and then booted back up and now every time I start Premiere it will freeze after 2-3 actions. I tried uninstalling both Premiere and Premiere CC 2014 and using Premiere CC 2014 is giving me the same issues. I'm not sure if this is an issue caused by low memory? Also, when I force quit Premiere, the process still seems to continue going on even though the actual application has stopped on the Task Manager.
My computer is using an AMD A8-3820 2.5ghz quad core with 16gb of ram.
Not sure which details were relevant so I tried to included everything that happened. Would appreciate any tips or possible solutions, thanks!

Try the following, if you have not already:
Quit Premiere Pro, then reboot the computer. Launch Premiere Pro once more
Sign out from Creative Cloud, restart Premiere Pro, then sign in
Update any GPU drivers
Trash preferences
Ensure Adobe folder preferences are set to read/write in all 3 locations.
Delete media cache
Delete preview files: usually located here: Documents > Adobe > Premiere Pro > 8.0 > Adobe Premiere Pro Preview Files > [Your Project]Delete the preview files in this folder by dragging them to the Trash.
Remove plug-ins
If you have AMD GPUs, make sure CUDA is not installed
Repair permissions
In Sequence Settings > Video Previews, change the codec to one that matches your footage
Disconnect any third party hardware
If you have a CUDA GPU, ensure that the Mercury Playback Engine is set to CUDA, not OpenCL
Disable App Nap
Reboot once more
Let us know if any of those things help.
