Lightroom have you ever got a picture name pop up on your screen then another pop up telling you to close lightroom down ? help please !
I've currently been using been lightroom 3.2 64-bit as my raw manager and official marker for quite a fair few years now, so long I've forgot . .
I know that lightroom has gone up to 4 and higher but I'm doing fine anyway ...
today I needed to mark a picture and a problem cropped up ! ...
first I shutdown the computer and I thought it would just re start from there scratch . .

You’ve tried to open a JPG as a catalog and LR can’t do that, but it also doesn’t know what to do, now.
Try to delete your preferences file, which is where LR remembers what catalogs it’s opened, and then, hopefully, you’ll be able to open your actual catalog, again. The location of the preferences file for LR3 is here:

I think you got into this situation by dragging-and-dropping a JPG image onto LR’s shortcut. LR opens catalogs not images, so when you drag-and-drop an image onto LR’s shortcut it tries to open that image as a catalog, and it can’t.
Newer versions of LR won’t even try to open an image as a catalog, instead of getting stuck like yours is.
I have some vague memory of your situation not being easy to get out of, so maybe deleting the preferences file won’t actually fix it.

You can, if you have a balance on your account and it covers the amount of the IAP that you want to buy then it should be automatically used for the purchase - if it doesn't cover the IAP price then any remainder will be charged to your credit card.

Have yu tried the standard fixes:
- Reset the iPod:
Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Restore the iPod via iTunes, First from backup and if problems persist, restore to factory defaults/new iPod. -

Picture card inserted upside down.Help Please.

Try renaming, or moving the pictures back.
Another thing to try, is connect the phone via the USB port on your computer. Set the phone to allow it to be used as a USB storage device. See if you can access the phone on your computer as if it is an external storage device. You should be able to explore the memory of the phone with your computer.
For access to a BB phone the drivers have to be first installed for the computer to be able to work with the phone. You can install the desktop manager software. Also if I remember properly, I believe the Desktop manager software can manage the media contents of the BB phone.

I just inherited a 64 GB ipad. I have passwords for the deceased person but would like to reset everything and start new. I use a mac/0SX but know nothing about an ipad other than turning it on. I am in the same household as the deceased person but does not seem to be recognizing the wireless setup. Any help would be appreciated. Any recommendations as to where to start.
That's really enough information. You can update this iPad to iOS 6.1.2. If there is a microphone icon next to the space bar on the keyboard, you have an iPad 3. But if you are saying that it hasn't been touched for over a year, it probably is not the iPad 3. The iPad 3 is one year old this week IIRC.
If you want, you can go to Settings >General>About>Model to find the model number and it you Google that, you can find out which version of the iPad it is.
I just wanted to see what iOS you would be able to update to. I'm not sure what else to tell you other than what we've already stated. You should set this up as new, update the iOS and then start all over again with you own iTunes content.
The link that Eric posted would be a good place to start so that you can get an idea of what the iPad can do. If you want to restore the iPad back to factory settings, you will need to do this with iTunes on your Mac. You must be running OS X 10.6.8 at minimum and must be using iTunes 10.6.3 (I think) in order to syn with iTunes on the Mac.

if you are that uncomfortable trying to do this on your own, and if there is an Apple Store near you, make an appointment at an Apple Store Genius Bar and ask an Apple tech to help you with it. That is what they do. There is no charge for an Apple Store Genius Bar visit. The stores also offer classes for the iPad that you might find useful as well. -

Okay, so I went on Twitter and some chick replies to a tweet and she sent me a tweet going like 'you guys were doin what here, looks confusing' then sends me a link. There was no tweet conversation or anything but being an idiot, I pressed the link (I was on my iPod Touch and it's 4th gen) and it got some 'time session ended' or whatever. Again, being the idiot and regretting it, I typed my Twitter username and password. Then it showed some 'cash' thing I don't even know. I searched it up, it was a phishing site and I changed my password for the third time. I hope you're still reading this because I'm very desperate for help. If I did press it, will the hacker hack my iPod too? Thanks! xx
Nope, they can't hack you iPod. The can (or could) log into your twitter account and change the password so y no longer control the site.
If you used the same password for other sites/serves change those too.
You might also want to change other information information in the twitter account like secret questions/answers since maybe they already logged into your account to steal that data and plan to use that information at a later date. -
My mac iMac 27 2010 vintage goes to sleep and won't wake up till I hold the on off power button....Then I have to restart as it is locked up....This it intermittent..

I performed the steps indicated but this morning when I clicked the mouse and hit the space key and clicked the track pad again as before nothing happens.
I hold the power button for a few seconds and the screen fills as if the computer was normally awakened but it is locked up.
Then I have to shut it down with the power button and then power it up as a reboot.
Not good...SMC reset didn't work....Throughout the day yesterday I put the computer to sleep and woke it up normally. It seems to be a overnight problem.
Am I going to have to shut it down everynight?

I seen this many times, and in just about all cases, it's the user resetting a different AppleID than what's being used for the iTunes account.

No, no, no. Can't believe they still don't understand the plugin after all this time. Adobe support is abysmal. And you pay a subscription fee!
The plug-in is a great alternative, but it does have issues. And the most important steps for migration need to be done in Aperture, which may explain their skills gap.

How did your migration to Adobe Lightroom go?
The key to NOT running out of disk space is to relocate your images from "managed" status to "referenced". You can specify a better folder structure for your resulting Lightroom library. Be aware that you will need some overhead, as your Aperture library (metadata) takes space, as your Lightroom catalog will, too. But migrating "managed" Aperture images results in a full copy.
There's other considerations for Aperture previews. Although much smaller, all previews "should" be copied. I've actually found that the plugin fails to copy a majority of previews.
Lightroom will copy managed raw files, but will just point to referenced raw files. If you choose to copy previews, it will copy all previews. Not much to the plugin, but it helps to know to pre-tag images in Aperture, and make sure you do some sort of file-level compare to make sure everything is copied over. Anyone else with this issue? Seems to only happen when booted from 10.4.3, but not with previous versions of 10.4 or with 10.1.xThe first time I saw it... I thought it was a problem... after the second time... I found shutting down, unplug/re-plugging, the display connector and power cord, and restarting made it go away.
My experience showed me that it's probably a loose connection issue - I've seen it on a Dual 2.5 G5 w/30" Cinema Display a couple times when working on it. I believe the card is the 6800 256MB. I haven't seen it in months - the G5's run on OS 10.3.x through to 10.4.2 - so, I doubt it's the software. I wouldn't loose sleep over it unless it happens a lot - and that's after you make sure all your connectors are clean.
