Limit to Single Line Not Working

I am using LV 6.0. It appears that the String Control property "Limit to
Single Line" does not prevent multiple line in the string. What's up?

The Limit to Single Line limits what the user can do with the
panel. It prevents the entry of a carriage return except through
a paste operation. Looki
ng at it on my computer, it prevents
the carriage return as it should, and when too many characters
are typed in, it does wrap the text to additional lines, but it
doesn't insert a carriage return. In fact, the string control
never does this without explicit user interaction.

  • Controlling Application Layer Firewall from Command Line Not Working

    We are trying to manage the OS X Application Layer Firewall for Mountain Lion from the command-line. We have several hundred Macs that we need to manage and it isn't possible to have someone log in to each one to modify settings. We have used socketfilterfw in the past, and can still use it to add items but we can't seem to manage it at all. We are also having issues trying to remove certain items although it appears we can still add items.
    When we try to block or unblock the feedback we get is that the item has been configured however when we do a list the item attributes haven't changed.
    When we try to verify if the item has been signed we get an error Killed: 9
    When we try to sign an item we get the same error, Killed: 9
    With one item specifically, when we try to remove it we get a Segmentation Fault 11 although we can add that same item just fine.
    It should be noted that doing all of this through the GUI works fine.
    Does anyone have any ideas on how to manage the firewall from te command-line that works? Has socketfilterfw been depricated and replaced by something else? Is this just a bug? I am placing the same information in a bugreport but just wanted to check with the co

    It's a known issue that apparently hasn't been fixed. Not a high priority for Apple Engineering, it seems.

  • BCDEDIT command line not work in WinRE

    Hi,
    I am legally blind. When I created USB Recovery Drive by using “Create a recovery drive” in Control Panel, I restart my computer then bootup USB flash drive,
    I choose Command Prompt and I typed “bcdedit /set {default} bootmenupolicy legacy” in WinRE’s command line but it not working.
     I can not read screen in WinRE because background color is too bright cyan screen. See picture of WinRE.
    How do I change background color fron cyan to black or dark blue in WinRE’s screen? I want black or dark blue background color because I can read screen with
    black or dark blue background color.

  • SQL Query Single Row not working

    My workflow contain a Query Single row activity. I have added a where clause in Arabic which is not working. If I remove the Arabic condition its working.
    Is there something to do with the server?
    My server is windows 2008 R2 Server.
    The same workflow is running perfectly on another identical environment.

    Connection to the database is trough Pivotal, I have tried ODBC connection as well but same error
    The instruction at "0x005d53e0" refereced memory at "0x00000014'. The memory could not be "read".
    With ODBC I have always compilation error saying
    Query Engine Error: '42000:[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL server] Incorrect syntax near the keyword 'SELECT'. '.
    but even the simple select statment is showing the error.
    Do you think the error is with Drivers???

  • Single Key Not Working

    My Mac Pro, and the keyboard, are only about a year old, but suddenly the P key will not work.
    It is the small, wired keyboard without the numeric pad. All other keys work fine and the problem has to be mechanical because I switched keyboards with my old Dell PC and the P still doesn't work. And I mean I get nothing at all from the key.
    I tried to look for a way to get into the thing but it's so skinny and doesn't seem to have any screws holding it together. I snapped the key off but what's below it looks closed.
    Does anyone know how I can fix this? I hate to buy a new keyboard because of one, little key.

    If your keyboard isn't more than a year old, I believe it's still under warranty. Take it to an Apple Store for testing, and you may get a free replacement.

  • Line Out (Lime Color) Right Side not working.

    I plugged in a 3.5m into my Line Out, I have it connected to my stero aux. My stero is working fine and everything with the sound is working right. No shortage in my wires. When I plug it into my Headphone jack it works fine but in my line out the right side only works but the left side sounds really really low. I have adjusted the levels and balance.
    I think that the Maufacture must of missed up on the line out size. That's the only thing I can come up with.

    this has happened to me. What part do I need to ask for in the shop. My sound was muffled, but I removed the speaker plug from the back and put it in the headset in the front and the whole thing is great now. I just need to now what part I need to ask for so I can fix it. I will google how to do it.

  • Line not working since 9 January. Calls to BT not ...

    My question is is there a way to contact a single point of contact who can track a fault through from beginning to end and keep me in touch with progress?
    The initial fault was a lot of interference and broadband download speeds 10% of what they should be. I reported the fault and, a few days later, received a text saying it had been fixed. In fact, fater that dte, the phone was completely dead. In response to calls from me and website entries,  I received more texts saying the fault had been repaired. On Tuesday, I was told that the fault would be repaired by this Saturday at 5pm and was assured that i would receive regular calls to update me. The phone was still daed and I made another report on Sunday. I was told that "thousands" of lines are down and that no promise can be made about when the line could be repaired.
    While I have a domestic phone line, I have businessbroadband on the same line. I have contacted that service but have been told that, as this is a domestic line, they can't do anything.

    I just checked the fault report and an engineer went out today to repair this, going by the notes he carried out some more work and left a message on your mobile to check the line when you got home.
    I'll reply to your email now, and if the problem is still not fixed let me know and we'll chase this up again.

  • Export vertical oriented movie single frame - not working

    Using:
    - iMac 20" 2 GHz 4 GB RAM
    - OSX10.5.8
    - iPhoto 8 version 7.1.5 (378)
    - QuickTime Player Pro Version 7.6.9 (1680.8)
    - Preview 4.2 (469.5)
    Here is what I do to export a frame from a move in iPhoto to get a single frame:
    Open and play a video in iPhoto using Quicktime Pro, stoping and selecting a particular frame, pressing Command C, open Preview, select New From Clipboard.
    or
    Open and play a video in iPhoto using Quicktime Pro, stoping and selecting a particular frame, Selecting File Export Move to Picture.
    Both the above work for horizontal oriented movies.
    However, for vertically oriented movies neigther works.
    Movies are taken with:
    - iPhone 3GS
    - Exaxti CG6
    - Insignia NS-DSC7B09
    - Fujifilm Finepix XP20.
    Any solutions/suggestions (except upgrading to the newest iPhoto, Lion, etc. too slow on a 2 GHz iMac)

    I mentioned in the second part of my initial post that I did also try the export "Movie to Picture" with the same results.
    Strange! That work flow still works on my PPC platform. (Unfortunately, I don't have an Intel platform available with OS 10.5.8 installed for testing.)
    Am I able to have "MPEG Streamclip" open as the default when a movie is double clicked on in iPhoto instead of Quicktime opening the movie?
    Not sure. I don't use iPhoto (prefer Aperture) normally and definitely would not use either for video clip management. Try resetting the double-click external edit switch or reset the "Open With" atribute for the class of movies being edited.
    This actually for a novice user who I suggested take short video clips, pick a frame then copy/paste it into Preview instead of taking stills. Unfortunatly my advice fails when the iPhone photos are taken vertically.
    The problem may be based on a change on the application being use. Like anamorphic videos with contain both pixel dimensions and PAR values, the reoriented videos may contain both true orientation and display orientation information. How the files work may depend on the application being used at the time. I.e., some third-party video/still display apps rely on the original orientation while others use the "rotated" info embedded in the file. And, unfortunately, it appears that Preview does not know what to do, so it does nothing. My guess is this is a bug that needs to be reported in feedback to Apple again and again until until they decide to address and correct the Preview application.

  • Crucial Ballistix (single sided) Not working with 1.B3 Sideffect

    Uptil now I was using 4*512 Crucial Ballistix PC4000 BL6464Z505.16TG memory modules that are CL2.5. This is 4 modules of double Sided memory.
    It was running at DDR400, 2-2-2-7 2.8V and windows was running fine, with the exception of a few BSODs time to time, and memtest86 giving a few errors.
    So I replaced my memory (though the errors could just have been timing related) and crucial sent me 4*512 Ballistix PC4000 BL6464Z503.8TD rated at CL3. All are matched memories as before. But these new memory modules are single sided.
    Now when I put 1,2,3 or 4 of these modules in, the system goes past the POST, but then hangs. Even hangs within the BIOS setup manu. Just locks up.
    I put my old memory back in and everything starts off and works fine.
    Is there some problem with this new BIOS I am using ?
    Should I switch back to official or sideeffects 1.A ballistix edition.

    I also tried Sideeffect especially modded Ballistic edition BIOS and had to remove it due to instability caused by the pernanent Memory Timing changes that he has included in it.  Other unofficial BIOS also have permanent memory timing changes included in them which can cause you hardship. This is why they recommend that you try their modded memory timings on your system with A64Tweaker first before actually flahing your BIOS.
    I am now using 1A3 Rev4 No Temo by Syar and it is working very well. All BIOS options are unhidden and temperatures have been remove. Syar has also not introduce any personalise memory timing so the BIOS is unlikely to cause a conflict on your system. You  can download it from here: http://www.msi.sploitz.com/

  • Phone line not working but Infinity is Fine

    We had a huge thunderstorm last Monday, which caused a power cut.
    Since then, our phone line is dead (it just makes a clicking noise), although if you ring our number, it appears to be ringing (which it isn't).
    However, BT Infinity is working even faster.
    I did the on-line check of our service and it says there is no fault, and so if I call out a BT engineer, it could cost me £130!!
    I'm sure it isn't working, as I've tried an old cordless phone (which I haven't used for years) and I still get the clicking.
    I've read that one of the wires may be dead, but I don't know what course of action to take.
    Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated.

  • [SOLVED] Bleachbit command line not working

    I am trying to incorporate bleachbit into a script "bleachbit -c". I have tried bleachbit from community and bleachbit-svn and bleachbit-cli from the aur. No matter what I do I get this error:

  • Collect chats into a single window not working

    At least I thought it wasn't working. I would start a new chat and I would not see the tabbed UI.
    It turns out the single window with tabs only shows up with 2 or more chats.
    It wasn't obvious at first but it makes sense now.

    iChat > Preferences > Messages section.
    There is a check box.

  • Touch screen on 1 line not working :(

    hey guys, my touch screen stopped working after i dropped my iphone... but not full screen, only the area where numbers 4-5-6 are located on dialing pad.. that 1 line is not responding at all..
    any solutions? i'm out of warranty.. any official/unofficial replacement parts? what do i need to replace? It's not cracked or anything, just 1 line.

    Same thing here. Had my phone since it came out and last week a "stripe" on the touch screen stopped working. Took it to the Apple Storeand spoke with the manger and they told me I had to pay $200 for a replacement or buy a new 3G.
    I can't believe it. I did nothing to the phone (never dropped or exposed to water) and now I have a phone that can't even last through it's two year contract.

  • Multiple iPods on single PC not working on v7.0.2.16

    At some later version of iTunes 6.x I bought my partner a Nano. Everthing worked fine, so my daughter got a Mini and I got a Video 30GB.
    Each user is in a separate Windows user account and has their own iTunes library.
    Then v7 struck and loads of problems came, and then went as I upgraded versions, right up to v7.0.2.16. My Video works fine with iTunes - it's now back to "normal". The Nano only managed to sync once since the upgrades.
    One problem persists and it's a show stopper.
    The Mini, the Nano and also a new Nano (Nano2) are not seen by iTunes.
    Windows recognises them and mounts them as USB drives but the iTunes diagnostics shows that the iTunes "mount" is failing.
    Looking at the Windows process list, I also see iPodService.exe running at 25-40% of CPU, after connecting the iPod. Once you have got iPodService.exe in this state, it doesn't respond to "stop" requests.
    I've tried all manner of combinations over several hours (running through the 5 R's until I went mad!) and am now stuck with a bunch of useless iPods and irrate users who aren't being very complimentary about Apple!
    My view is that there is a problem with iPodService.exe when it comes to multiple iPods on the same computer.
    To support this, I clean installed iTunes 7.0.2.16 on a different PC, recently built with XP and all Windows updates - This was a first time install. The Nano2 worked first time and my other daughter (whose birthday present it was) is very happy. When I tried the Mini on the second PC I observed the USB mount and an iPodService.exe that chewed the CPU but did nothing else.
    Has anyone else seen this and found a work around?
    If not, how do we log support requests with Apple?
    Are they good at fixing things like this?
