Weiss jemand Rat?

Sub AfterPublish()
ActiveDocument.UpdateStylesOnOpen = True
Application.ScreenUpdating = False
Application.Run MacroName:="AdobePDFMaker.AutoExec.ConvertToPDF"
Application.ScreenUpdating = True
ActiveDocument.Save
ActiveDocument.Close
END Sub
"unable to execute specified macro".

Was soll ich tun?
Was könnte ich falsch machen?

Open portal from a link in Word
Hello,
I currently have a strange issue.
First the scenario: I have a SP17 portal, inside the portal I have an ITS (6.20) iView running an EWT. Inside this EWT I have the option to click a button which opens a Word document in a new Window. Inside this Word document I have a link that links back to the portal looking something like: http://portal.domain.com:50000/irj/portal?navigationtarget=...
So basically I have 3 windows:
1. Original portal window
2. Word opened from portal and hence runs in the same session
3. New window showing new portal content and also runs in same session
All these three windows runs in the same session and hence share the same MYSAPSSO2 cookie.
If I do this on a computer with Office 2000, clicking the link in Word just opens a new window and showing what I want in the portal. With the same user in window 3 as in window 1.
If I use Office 2003, the portal presents the user with a portal logon page. But now the strange things happens. If the user presses F5 in this new window (window 3) the user gets directly access to the content, as supposed.
How do I get rid of this annoying and unnessecary logon page? Usermanagement is pretty much left as default, and all iViews and roles uses the "default" authentication scheme.
Best regards,
Thomas MouritsenHi Thomas,
At least this kind of issues with office documents has a long history. Even if the exact scenario you are describing is not listed, check out SAP note 549610 - maybe it helps also in your case.
Another approach to understand what happens is to use some tool like HTTPWatch to see what's the difference between the first and the second (refreshing) request to window 3.
Anyhow, I wouldn't wonder if that helps to understand the problem - but not to solve it. But in this case, just open an OSS message with your gathered knowledge about the issue and maybe the note given above will be extended...
Hope it helps

We just moved up to MX7. I have some stagnant word documents
attached to my site. Now when people click the link to open them,
they get gooblygook before the text. Also all formatting (bold/etc)
is gone. Why is cf not just pulling this up to open? Can I not just
link to a word doc or do I have to convert it to a pdf/other
format?
Thanks,
JWe have no such problem with our links to word documents in
MX 7. Can
you provide some pieces of your code?
If you are just doing direct links, there should be no
trouble, ie.

Link/RE-link to word docs with form fields?
Trying something new, and when I took the InDesign 2 day class the instructor was not very familiar with linking to word docs, she just never used the feature.
So, I have multiple contributors who will onlly work in word. I am trying to set up a template/form for them to fill in that I can link to my .indt.
I have the styles set up and matching, and I'm looking for a way that I can lock everything but the areas where they need to fill in information. My plan is to do this by making a form in Word with text fields. Will this transfer over to the InDesign file when I relink? If not what is an alternative solution using Word with out having to copy and past all the time ?Ohhh k.
OK Yes this is possible.
I do mean for it to link, the content is dynamic I need the technical people to be able to edit content before I get it. The point is to have multiple contributors working in word (absolutely must be word), creating new content that can be fed into indesign relatively automatically while preserving the InDesigns styles applied to certain text frames.
It does need to link back to get content updates so I have this option turned on in the general preferences to allow this.
The word documet is set up, as follows:
Form fields are created, along with their respective titles or headings. A style/structure element is applied. The style doesn't have to match what is in indesign but it is helpful.
Click the text box and got to "Place"
Select the document and select the "Show Import Options"
Under import options select "Preserve Styles and formatting..." Then Select the "Customize Style Import" radial and click style mapping. I tried doesn't this with the Automatic Import and it didn't work properly, custom mapping will identify the right information to style while overiding the actual style information from Word and instead uses the InDesign Style.
So... not necessarily a job for InCopy, though I realize that would be better, working in for a Microsoft Partner Network Gold Certified Partner, it would be impossible to get everyone to switch over to InCopy. -
I am trying to create links to Word templates but when
someone clicks on them they become documents instead of the *.dot.
I checked and someone said that the web server needed to be
configured to have a MIME type assignment for *.dot files as
"application/msword"? Are we supposed to do this in Dreamweaver,
and if so how do I do it?cruser1 wrote:

MIME types are added to the server. How to do this depends on
your server.

No Insert Flash dialog box in PPT files with links to Word
Presenter will not display the "Insert Flash (swf)" dialog box in PowerPoint presentations that have slides linked to a Word document.
It works fine in PPT presentations that do not have the links to Word.
I need to import a SWF in the presentation as well as have Word link to the slides in PPT.
Is there a solution? The solution was to install a later version of Presenter. It works now.

Can you link from Word to a specific page in PDF without a webserver?
I am trying to add a link within Word that opens a specific PDF file and goes to a particular page within the PDF. Is there a way to do this without a webserver?
I have a similar problem I would like to solve. I am also running Word 2003, Windows XP and Acrobat Professional 7.0.
I can create a hyperlink in a word document to open a separate PDF file.
I can then use PDF Maker to convert the word document to PDF.
No problem.
When I click on the new link in the PDF document it opens the separate file in the same window and the original PDF file is closed.
I do not want the original file to close.
When I set up a new link from within Acrobat then I get the option to "Open in new window". This link works the way that I want.
As there are multiple hyperlinks in the word document, I will need to recreate new links everytime I modify the Word document. This is very time consuming
Question - how do I get the automatically created link to open in a new window?
Thanks in advance -
Problems linking to Word document
I wrote this as a reply to a similar post last week but I'm
afraid it got buried in the thread...part of Rick's response to
that poster was: "2. If you are linking to Word or .PDF documents,
there is a slight chance you will find the link actually fails for
some reason. Yet, if you simply place focus in the address bar of
your browser and press Enter to refresh, the document loads right
up. Go figure. If that begins happening, let us know and there is a
possible workaround for you."
That is the problem I'm having--can you share the workaround
you mention? It happens most--but not all--of the time, and only
with the Word documents; my PDFs and web links open with no
problem. The documents are housed on a public website. I am using
Captivate 3 if that matters.
Thank you for any help you can offer!
JulieHi Julie
Here's how it's done.
From inside Captivate 3, click File > Record/Create >
MenuBuilder Project.
Choose the Blank Project type and click OK.
Click Options > Project Options...
Configure the width and height to the smallest possible
values. This will be 320 wide and 200 tall.
Click OK.
Click Insert > Clickbox.
Type the file name of the Word document or PDF and ensure you
click to place a check mark in the "Save file with project" check
box.
Click OK and you should see a dialog asking if you want to
browse for the file. Click No.
Size the Clickbox so it covers the entire project area.
Click File > Export.
Save the project using any name you like. I frequently do
this and just use "Untitled" as that's what it suggests.
Choose Flash Movie as the type of project and click Next
>.
Type a name to identify the .SWF and choose an easy to
remember location. I often use the Desktop.
Click Finish.
Close MenuBuilder. You are finished with that (unless you
wish to create more of these)
In Captivate on the slide where you want the user to click to
open the document or PDF, click Insert > Animation.
Browse to the location where you exported the Menubuilder
file and select it.
What you are doing is creating a MenuBuilder output to drop
into a Captivate project to open files. I'm not sure why or how
it's different than the way Captivate works, but different it is.
Hopefully this helps you out... Rick -
External Link to Word document question
Hello, fellow RoboHelpers!
I have a quick question that I am hoping someone can answer
for me. :-)
I am using RoboHelp X5 and use Microsoft HTML Help (.CHM) as
my file output. I would like to link a Word document to one of my
topics, so when a user clicks the link, they will be prompted to
open/save the Word document.
The following are the steps I use to do this:
1) I type the text that I want the to use for the hyperlink,
highlight it, and select the Hyperlink tool (or press CTRL+K).
2) In the Hyperlink dialog box, I select "File" from the
"Link To:" section and select my Word document.
3) I select "Yes" to add the Word document to my project
folder.
4) In the Hyperlink diaglog box, I select OK, and the link
has been created.
5) I generate my Help project and test the link.
6) When I click the hyperlink, I receive a "File Download -
Security Warning" box asking me if I want to Open or Save the Word
document.
Problem #1 -- it appears that I can save the Word document by
clicking "Save" without any problems, but clicking "Open" does not
open the Word document in Microsoft Word. Why?
Problem #2 -- The warning box displays three criteria: the
file name, what type of file it is, and "From". I have issues with
the "From" line. While the .CHM file is attempting to call the Word
document from within the .CHM file, which is what I expected it to
do ... the path is, well, ugly looking :-P
mk:@MSITStore:C:\Program%20Files\RoboHelp%20Office\
RoboHTML\HTMLMicrosoftHTML\VRHelp.chm::/ICBA.doc
Is there any way that I can clean up this path? If I could at
least get rid of that mk:@MSITStore, that would be a good start.
If anyone has some suggestions, I am all for it!
Thank you very much,
--Jessicaquote:

Jessica,
The "mk:@MSITStore:" is the protocol for extracting from a
.chm file, much like an "http:" precedes a web address. I'm afraid
that just is part of the path if the Word document is embedded in
the help file.
Ahh, I am sorry to hear that that is the case. Thanks for the
information!

I don't know why your "Open" doesn't work. Does it open the
document within the browser window, or just not open it at all? Are
you adding the Word document as a baggage file? I don't know if
RHX5 does this automatically with your steps as I use an older
version.
John
Yes, the Word document is added as a baggage file. If I click
"Open", the Security Warning box disappears and nothing happens
(unfortunately).
In the Hyperlink properties, I realized that I had the link
opening in the "same window", so I changed it to display in a "New
Window". Now, when I generate/click the link, the Word document
tries to open in Internet Explorer (path and all). I get the same
message box as before asking me if I want to Open or Save the
document. Still, clicking "Open" will not open the Word document in
Microsoft Word. When I press Open, the box simply disappears and
the path remains in the Internet Explorer address bar. If I select
the path in the message bar and press Enter to bring up the
Open/Save prompt again, I can save the document ... but I cannot
Open it.
A thought just occurred to me while I was typing this: Would
the fact that I am using Microsoft Word 2007 have anything to do
with why the file will not open? I remember hearing that Office
2007 is not compatible with RoboHelpX5, so perhaps that is why the
document is not opening. Still, RoboHelpX5 doesn't seem to have a
problem saving the file to your harddrive regardless of the
filetype, and the Word document I am working with is a .doc file
anyway, compatible with Word 97-2003, not a .docx.

COMPILED CHM HELP - Rick advises that you can use an HTML
Help Shortcut control to accomplish the goal.
You simply specify the file name where you would normally
specify the application.
I tried to create a HTML Help shortcut by doing the
following:
1. I click the Insert Navigation Control button, then HTML
Help Controls > Shortcut
2. In the Button options box, I enter a text description for
the button and click Next.
3. In the Shortcut Selection, the first prompt says, "Program
to run when shortcut is activated." I search for my Word document
from within my Project Folder, select it, and press Next.
4. I leave the Font options the way they are.
5. I click Finish, and the button is created.
When I generate the project and test the button, nothing
happens when I click it. If I do specify the application (ex.
WINWORD.EXE), Word
does open when I click the button. How can I get it to call
a specific Word document?
Thanks for your time, guys!
